Cadence Reflection

Rate this book
Cadence Powers is tattooed, pierced, and panty dropping gorgeous. Women love him and men want to be him. It appears to the world that he has it all, but what people don't see is that Cadence is a damaged haunted man, held back by untold secrets that keep him from living a real life.

When he meets Trinity Vinkers, he feels as if he can finally live the life he desperately wants. However, just as their friendship begins to grow, one stupid act causes that friendship to shatter, all because he lets his guard down allowing her into his life.

Trinity appears to be the light to Cadence's dark. Innocent, naïve, and goofy, she seems to bring out the best in everyone around her, but she has her own dark secret. Her persona allows her to fake her way through life, at least until she meets him. Trying not to let her feelings for Cadence get the best of her is taken out of her hands when she makes a wrong decision that leaves her left with an unexpected fallout.

As life takes both Cadence and Trinity down a path that neither will forget, they are unaware of the evil lurking around them. It's watching, waiting to step in and take everything from Cadence.

As the young lovers struggle with their secrets, a close friend will also be fighting for something,... her life. As time goes by, Cadence and the Horde from Wheels & Hogs decide that they have to do whatever it takes to keep what is theirs safe, even as death hovers around like a dark angel.

I didn't know this author and received the recommendation by facebook. I bought the book and have not regretted it.
The story is very good and holds the reader's attention. The characters are all very interesting and we were intrigued by the story of each one.
The series promises to be very good and I'll keep an eye on news of the author. Go to my list of future purchases.

I really enjoyed this story. There is an underlying serious issue in the story - abuse, both physical and sexual. To see both Cadence and Trinity overcome their pasts is awesome. This story is written in such a way you can't help but want this couple to succeed.

My only complaint would be that I struggled with a couple of the timelines.

I can't wait to read Doc and Fern' s story.

Let's start out by saying this story just about ripped out my heart. The Cadence we were first introduced to be a bit of a man whore who was selfish and a bit of a bastard and one who didn't care about anything other than sinking his dick into the next available pussy. As the story progressed we have come to the conclusion that his whorish ways have more to do with him not dealing with the demons he carries around within. One woman is about to turn his life upside down, and she isn't an easy piece he is used to but, a funny and shy girl whom he has forged an easy friendship with but, she too holds secrets, and they are about to learn they have more in common than either could imagine.

Although this story is about Cadence and Trinity finding love, closure, healing, and love their story is connected with the ongoing stories of other characters as well.

Trinity and Cadence were perfect for one another their chemistry awesome, and they were super sweet together. Their story comes with a ton of ups and downs a whole lot of heart-wrenching heartache and more than a few surprises and some we never saw coming our way.

Overall this story was one that touched a reader's heart. The characters were all amazing and all so love-able. The story brought more than a few tears to my eyes more than a few times but, all the good the bad, and the ugly Cadence and Trinity had an amazing family who they chose as their own to help them find their way to a life they both truly deserved whether it was together or apart but, one thing is for sure Cadence will do everything in his power to prove to the women he loves that he was worth loving and trusting once again.

Wolf my mystery man we are falling hard and fast for you the more we learn about you the harder we fall, and we are so looking forward to discovering all your secrets...

I was lucky enough to win this book through a goodreads giveaway. And, while contemporary romance isn't my preferred genere, this book was different enough to make it worthwhile. It is a sequel to Connelly's Horde and I strongly recommend reading that book first since it introduces the characters in the series really well.

This book has a lot going for it. I like that you have multiple character's points of view (not just the hero & heroine). I like that the language is really simple - that isn't to mean basic, but meaning it is unadulterated and uncomplicated. It spells out the plot, the character's thoughts and motivations, and there are not a lot of atmospheric or descriptive elements for the settings. With a few notable exceptions, the reader doesn't really have a good sense of what places or characters look like. The simplicity of the language also means that while there aren't a lot of plot twists or surprises, the action is very believable and the character's responses are generally appropriate. Everyone acts and behaves in character and the writing gives you insight into how and why the characters grow, develop, and change. One could argue that a lot of the language, particularly during Cadence's big reveal scene, is too well articulated given the emotional maturity of the characters, but because of the language, we've had the insight into knowing what was in his head.

Writing styles aside, I have two big issues with the book. The first is that I was somewhat confused by the timeline. Trinity and Cadence met, were friends for a while, were together for how long, then weren't together for 3 months, and then suddenly it has been a full 9 months? Given their relationship's ups and downs and on again off again nature, it would have been helpful to nail the timeline down some. Especially with how it related to Fern's health and organizing the Charity Ride for her. Does it really take 10 months to put that together? Was the timeline shorter or longer? I'm so confused by that. The other issue is the constant use of the phrase "head shaking" when to me, it needs to be different from nodding. You nod in affirmation, you shake your head to say no or to disagree. This may seem picky on my part, but that phrase made me constantly reread paragraphs to make sure what was the appropriate response.

On the up side, I think that this book is an AMAZING tool to help people, particularly men, who have been victims of physical and sexual abuse. Seeing what Cadence has been through and overcome, reading how therapy has helped many of the characters...That is just wonderful. Honestly, this is the type of book that a woman could give to her troubled fella and have them read together. The book has a LOT of heavy elements - child abuse, rape, statutory rape, human trafficking, physical abuse, and domestic violence. But, the author handles them in the same straightforward way as everything else. Victims are never blamed and the emotional insights and conflict resolutions in the book could, I hope, bring a reader through the same emotional journey so that they, too, can achieve a happily ever after.

Thank you for sending me this book and I look forward to reading the rest of the series! I'm particularly interested in Wolf and Archie!

This is the second book in the Wheels and Hog series. In this series it picks up were the first book left off. You will get a more in depth with Cadence, Trinity, and get a glimpse of the other characters.

Cadence uses sex as a coping mechanism. He doesn't want to face the past of mental, sexual and physical abuse. Until Trinity comes in the picture. He wants a relationship but when he gets caught he acts like she just one in the million.

Trinity is just trying to stay away from home. She knows once she goes home that the abuse is going to start again. She wasn't looking for something with Cadence because of all the stories, but something keeps her drawn to him. When they get caught she finally see the real Cadence.

Will Cadence be able to let go of the past and rescue Trinity in time from her abuser or will it be to late?

I could not put this book down. From the beginning to the end there is always a twist or a turn to keep you drawn in. Love how you got to read each of the characters thoughts and emotions. I laughed, smiled and cried.
The story has a great storyline and I'm excited to see where this series goes.

I was lucky enough to receive an arc, I loved this book! The book took me through every emotion and found myself close to tears at some points...I couldnt wait to see what happened so I couldnt put it down! The book deals with some serious issues but was so well written that it dealt with them perfectly.

I loved the fact that I saw Cadence grow up emotionally from the selfish a-hole he was (although he had good reasons for this), into the stand up guy he was meant to be. Trinity...love love love that girl and I hope we hear more about her in the other books in the series.

I cant wait to read the next book....Des, Wolf, Doc??? I must say I am intrigued about Jagger!!

ok so I love this series! This is a brand new author but gosh the works that are being created are PHENOMENAL! I like the fact the author calls out some AMAZINGLY TALENTED authors in this book just makes me WANT more from this author. The story is savagely exhausting but at the same time exceptionally ferocious yet beautifully brutal. It will have you in tears and then laughing your tail off at the antics of this refined family that this author has created for our pleasure only to build upon the solid base that this author has started. AGAIN I say I LOVE THIS SERIES and I honestly think you will too!!!!

Cadence and Trinity’s stories had my heartbreaking and my eyes leaking. These two broken souls find each other and then Cadence breaks Trinity’s heart. I love the way DM Earl weaves all the characters into the story then sets up for the next one. A fantastic read and now to start the third one.

Cadence Reflection (Wheels & Hogs #2) by D.M. Earl

Cadence Power has been through a horrific and traumatic experience. His nightmare, so horrible and real he wanted to die. When someone finds him physically and emotionally beaten, he thought he would never be able to get past the brutal experience. However, with the help, love and encouragement from this new found family at Wheels & Hogs Cadence has slowly been able to deal with his past. However, he has not completely come to terms with it. Instead, he uses sex as a way to forget, a way to push away the demons. That is until he she comes into his life. Trinity is so different from all the other woman that pass in and out of his life. She is funny, sweet and kind with just enough sass to me make him want more than just friendship. Can he convince her he is the man to make her dreams come true? Or will his womanizing ways and his fear of Trinity discovering his secret shame stop him from having the life and love he deserves?

Trinity Vinkers meets Cadence Power and she falls hard and immediately. She’s not stupid she knows his reputation of being a player. He sleeps around rarely keeping woman around for more than a night or two. Trinity has no desire to be Cadence’s one night stand. So instead, she decides she would rather be his friend, their friendship grows, but the sexual tension between them grows as well. When they finally give in to their mutual attraction Trinity fears, she won’t be able to keep her dark secret from him and she’s sure he will drop her just like all his other women.

This is book two in the Wheels & Hogs series and for the most part is Cadence and Trinity’s story. I like how the author incorporates the rest of the characters POV’s into this story. In no way did it take away from the base story, which was emotional and heartbreaking, but also full of joy, happiness, and forgiveness. Cadence and Wolf have a great brotherly relationship that you can easily feel throughout the book. Des’ fatherly attention to Cadence as well as Trinity was terrific to read.

Cadence is a jerk, but he has some major issues, in the previous book we were given a hint of what he had gone through before Des found him. In this book we get the whole story and it is horrifying, scary and sad. Unfortunately, physical and sexual abuse is a real issue today and I thought the author did a fantastic job depicting how survivors of abuse can move on from their experiences and not let it rule their lives.

Trinity and Cadence sadly turn out to have more in common than they thought they ever could. The way this couple learns together to deal with their emotional and physical scars was very well written in this book. I especially like how at the end the author gives extensive information to readers about how they can find help if they find themselves in an abusive situation.

The background characters of which I cannot wait to get their stories were awesome, I am thrilled to read the ARC for Fern and Gabriel next. Also, I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
If you are looking for the a book that will have you crying, laughing and getting that wonderful sense of warmth from a true loving family group of people who don’t need blood ties to be considered a family unit, this is the book and series you should pick up. Definitely recommend.

Cadence Power is someone haunted by his past with nightmares invading his sleep. He is addicted to sex and anxiety pills and desperately needs help but pulls away when someone tries to help him. He loves his "family" at Wheels & Hogs but still sticks to himself a lot.

Trinity Vickers is keeping secrets about the life she lives. She tries to hide the damage that her father does to her as she is afraid what will happen to her if anyone discovers the truth.

But life brings Cadence and Trinity together but can the damaged souls find each other? When Cadence makes a monumental mistake and destroys Trinity's happiness will he find her to convince her to give him a second chance?

When Cadence and Trinity discover a link in their pasts will it destroy them or bring them closer together?

This was such a great follow up to Connelly's Horde and I loved the more in depth look at the characters!

My heart was broken for Cadence for what he went through in the past and then as we leanred more I completely understood why he was the way he was. He and his family went through so much and he had a hard time letting people in. Yet he was super close with Fern and Doc who were there for him when Des found him.

Trinity pretneded to be so much stronger than she was in fear of what would happen if anyone discovered the truth. She lets Cadence in but then he destroys her trust and heart with his actions. When she disappears on Cadence he needs to find her but she does not want to be found.

I felt awful when the truth about how bad of condition Trinity was in was revealed when they get her out. She had so much done to her and it was so sad to learn everything that was going on.

I loved that this book still focuses on all the characters that we met in the first book with just a little more focus on Cadence and Trinity. Both of these characters had so much to overcome and I was shocked at the twist that linked the two of them together.

In this book I thought Wolf was awesome and I love what he does on the side. He is such a great character!

I am really looking forward to the next book where we learn what is going to happen with Fern and Gabriel.

It is clear that Cadence has been to hell and back already in his short life. He is so thankful to Des, Fern and Doc for all that they have done for him. A fresh start with a good job, a secondary family that means everything to him. But it is not enough to take the past away, the nightmares still plague him, the complete loss of control till haunts him. He has used his piercings and tattoos to take the pain, sex to bring exhaustion but nothing seems to work. When he meets Trinity there is something different about her, an innocence that he doesn't want to taint but he can't seem to stay away. She brings out a different side of him.

Trinity has more than her share of secrets to hide. Her friends don't even know where exactly she lives as she makes them drop her off a couple of blocks from home. She never knows what mood her father will be in when he is home. Will it be a pain free night or not? She has gotten good at covering up the evidence with long sleeve shirts and make up. Trust does not come easy for her but there is something about Cadence and her time spent with him. Even though he looks like the could be a bad apple he makes her feel safe and desired. She knows all about his player ways and is in no hurry to be another notch on his belt.

When the relationship grows and they move from friend to more, life comes crashing down all over again. Will she be able to forgive Cadence for his actions? Will their horrible past be enough to break them for good? Will they be able to find love and happiness?

DM brings us another emotional read. This time with lots of healing and working through the past. Learning how to let the past go so you can move forward. Finding a way to trust in people again after those that were to love you unconditionally, abuse their power. I love the family that is the Horde and how they willing take in more when they see fit.

I absolutely loved this book!

After reading the first book, which was a great intro to The Horde, I was looking forward to this one. Although, I have to admit, I was a bit afraid that the plot would be focusing solely on Cadence, leaving the rest of The Horde out. Well, that was not the case, however.

I was really impressed to find out, while reading it, that the author handled the plot in such manner that embroidered all POVs without loosing focus from Cadence. It was amazing, because apart from getting Cadence's and Trinity's POVs, the reader gets POVs from Des, Dee, Wolfe, Doc and even Fern, as well.

Cadence and Trinity have been friends for a while. Cadence has a troubled past, that he doesn't talk about, while Trinity is living a present hell. Both are young ppl that have had to deal, at some point, with severe physical and emotional abuse.

C is immature, irresponsible and a man whore. However, with T he is willing to try and have an exclusive relationship. T is really into C but her life prevents her from giving 100%. But, when the proverbial sh*t hit the fan, C messes everything up and continues with his life as he knew it before T.
When he finally realizes his mistakes, it's with the help of the rest of The Horde that he tries to find a way to help T.

Cadence Reflection deals with really bad situations and it's an emotional roller coaster.

The bond between The Horde is amazing. Des rocks. He continues to be the father figure to the younger ones and the best friend of the older ones.

I cannot wait for the next book, although I cannot decide whose story I want next... Des's, Doc's or Wolfe's...

The point is I would definitely recommend this series to everybody, because it is absolutely AWESOME!!!

Cadence Reflection is my second D.M. Earl book as well as the second book in the Wheels and Hogs Series. This story follows Cadence Power and Trinity Vickers. Cadence is haunted by his past. With nightmares him from sleep, he's become addicted to sex and pills to get through the nights and completely pulls away from any and all help offered to him. His family is the other one-percenters at Wheels & Hogs which includes Trinity Vickers. Trinity is also damaged and haunted by her secrets. Cadence Reflection is a great follow up to the series prequel, Connelly's Horde. loved the more in depth look at the characters!

Things I loved about this book:
The story while not completely original is good nonetheless.
The Characters were great and much better developed because I've read the prequel.

Things that forced me to rate this as a 3 star:
The editing in this story was awful. It also contains a lot of grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors that barely allowed me to finish the story, and I've had to put it down and start another book several times over.

This book contains several abuse issues that some readers may not like. I had no problem reading them, but again, I also put the book down at least five times. While my heart broke for the characters I also understood the inherent trust issues he had. Also, Cadence is pretty juvenile. This isn't necessarily a reason for my rating being a three, but it leads to a somewhat subpar storyline arc in the book. I was expecting something a little more original. That said, there was a twist in the plot that I didn't see coming and I actually debated giving it a higher review but ultimately the story will need extensive edits before that can happen.

And let's get ready. Let's dig into the stories if this crew and find out everything that needs to be read about
D.M. Earl has a writing that will hook you up in a sec. You just wait and see.
Cadence Reflection is the second book from the Wheels & Hogs series and explores the lives of Cadence and Trinity.
Cadence is one huge key of a man that every woman wants and every guy would love to be him. He's a tattoo artist that lives in each tattoo he draws.
On the outside, he's this cocky guy but on the inside, he's damaged. But does he get to get the light at the end of the tunnel???
Trinity is this innocent, naive, and goofy girl that makes everyone around her fall in love. But if you get a closer look at her, you'll see that she hides something. Something going dark...
Can these two find the light with each other?
I'm speechless at the moment.
Honestly, I'm at a loss for words.
This book was brutal in every way.
Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense.
Each chapter was even more addictive than the latest and I couldn't stop reading.
One minute things go were going in a way, and the next it shifted.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions and I saw myself in tears a couple of times.
The pain that these characters endured was so brutal that left me shaking.
Love, loss, loyalty, betrayal walked hand in hand in this book and I loved every single word.
It was great to have different points of view, that way made it easier to understand each character even better.
Freaking awesome book D.M. Earl.
I loved it so much and I can't wait to start the next one.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When I read Connelly's Horde I was intrigued by Cadence's story. He came to the Horde a physically and emotionally broken and battered. Left for dead, the care of Des and the Murphys brought him back. While physically healed, he still carried the psychological scars from his past. Always the player, Cadence never thought that he was worthy of anything more than what he could get with a quick one-night stand.
When he becomes friends with the sweet Trinity Vickers, he learns that maybe he actually yearns for more in his life than his work and manwhoring ways. As their friendship starts to turn deeper Cadence is torn, and with one slip of the tongue, Trinity is gone. He has no idea that she harbors a deep secret of her own, and they actually have much more in common than they realize. Broken by the idea of not seeing Trinity again, he and the Horde search for her and Cadence is hit with a shocking secret, making it even more urgent to find her. When he does, all hell breaks loose.
I was not prepared for the depth of emotions this story brought out. Cadence's history is heartbreaking, but when it intersects with Trinity's reality; the story takes on a whole new level. The pace of the story moves right along and the reader will find it hard to put this book down. The secondary plot line of the charity run and the Murphys is equally as hard on the heart but I can't wait to read their story. The story is tight, the sexy scenes are steamy and the heart wins in the end but it is one hell of a ride.

Carla's Four Star Review

This is the second book in the Wheels & Hogs series, and it mainly focuses on the relationship between Cadence and Trinity.

Cadence has been through hell and lived to tell the tale. However, instead of dealing with his past trauma, he uses sex and pills to numb his pain and keep his demons at bay. When Trinity comes into his life, we see Cadence grow from a selfish man whore into the man he was always meant to be. Everything is far from perfect though. There are monsters lurking around every corner threatening to destroy any chance they have at finding their happily ever after.

I really liked this book. While getting Cadence and Trinity's story, we get glimpses into the lives of the other characters as well. Let me warn you-this story is not for the faint of heart. It will take you on one heck of a roller coaster ride! At times, it is downright ugly, while at other times, it is truly beautiful. The men and women of The Horde share a bond stronger than most families. If you hurt one, you hurt them all, and there will surely be hell to pay.

I can't wait for the next book in this series! If you haven't yet read the books in this series, you need to one click them now! I promise you will be glad you did!

Cadence and Trinity's story is told to us in book two of the Wheels and Hog series. We pick up where we left off and get a much more in depth with Cadence, Trinity, with a splash of the other characters from Connelly's Horde.

Your heat will break like mine did for Cadence not wanting to face the abuse he endured . He copse with it the only way he knows how, women, lots of women. He fights back the demons of his past but he soon learns you can't run forever. Trinity just may be his angel.

Trinity lives a real nightmare everyday of her life. She fights to survive and sometimes prays that she doesn't but she keeps going on. stay away from home. She wasn't looking for Cadence but she got more than she could have dreamed up for herself. But soon Trinity sees a side of Cadence that leaves her more than just hurt and alone.

Both must learn to face their fears in order to save each other and a precious gift. Hope

I was overwhelmed with Cadence Reflection. The twist and turns just kept coming and by the end I was on another ride and ready for book 3.

Be ready to laugh, smile and cry on this journey with the Wheel's and Hogs series.

What a wonderful & terrible story. As the story began I thought there was no redeeming Cadence, and just when you thought there might be hope for him he reverts to his way of dealing with any stressful situation by backing off and acting like a douche. Trinity has had a terrible home life. Both she and Cadence are broken with secrets they do not want to share with any one. This book touched my heart, it made me think and made me aware that sometimes people act in a terrible fashion because they are trying to hide there own pain. Some of what happened in this book literally made me cry. But the main thing i came away with is that no matter how aweful you situation you can get help, you can be strong. Family is not always blood but those people who are there for you and love you.Tthis is a must read story. I am grateful to D.M. Earl for bringing into the bright light some truly horrible actions that often are hidden due to shame, pain or fear. I look forward to reading more from D.M. Earl. You have opened my eyes.

My Review of Cadence Reflection By D.M. Earl
My Rating 4.5 Stars

This is nothing that you expect when you pick up a MC read, this story is like reading about real life, and situations that can happen. This book is so full of emotion, it’s heartwarming full of drama suspense and love. This is a gripping story of Cadence one which I could not put down. This story sucked me in and kept me turning the pages.
Beautiful story, and I’m so happy that the author braved the waters of some delicate issues that are dark and brutal to read. Bravo D.M. Earl you wrote an Amazing story that tugs at your heart strings. This book is sheer
Brilliance in the form of words to paper. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.

Cadence Reflection is book two in D.M. Earl’s Wheels & Hogs series. Throughout Cadence’s story we see just how abuse can shape a person and how it takes support from friend, family or your chosen family to overcome and learn how to cope in healthy methods.

Trinity and Cadence’s story both broke my heart and left me hopeful and excited for them. I liked the fact that some of the other character’s POVs got included, so we see that this entire series is about the Wheels & Hogs family. They’re all there for each other and will always be, even when you aren’t being your best self.

There were parts that I struggled with, mostly personal issues but all in all this was a good read. If you’re looking for erotic romance this one is for you.

Holy wow!

This book is just a complete rollercoaster of emotion and I didn't want to get off it. This is Cadence and Trinity story........but it so much more than that! Their story gives you hope when you believe all hope has gone.....It's kind of a second chance story but again so much more. I love the closeness that this 'family' have and it goes to show and prove that you don't need to be blood related to be family. They will do everything and anything to protect their own.......wiping my tears as I contemplate moving on to Gabriel's Treasure......I think I need a short break, but in a good way!

This is the story of Cadence and Trinity who become friends then lovers then fall apart. There’s a lot that goes on in this book and other characters too. Fern, Doc, Wolf and Des are among these. Since the series has many but you don’t have to read them in order it’s great to get some background information. Cadence and Trinity have to learn to open up and trust one another. When things got bad and trinity almost leaves without a trace, someone finds her and she isn’t good. The MC’s take her out of her home but she’s so mad and beaten up that she’s scared and frightened that something bad will happen. This book was great.

Absolutely amazing

My heart broke and cried for Cadence and Trinity and all they have been through. As they opened up to each other and their family they found strength not only in each other, but from their family as well. I'm so happy they found their happily ever after together. This book took me on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I was happy and then brought to tears again. D.M. congratulations on writing an amazing book covering such a difficult topic and offering information on how to get help. I can't wait to see what happens next with the men and women of Wheels and Hogs.

Cadence & Trinity

Women love him. No type just all women. He's blistering hot and life seems to be going his way. But he didn't always have it that way. He seems beyond his past. And maybe just maybe he's found a woman who can be his one instead of one among many.

Life seems as though it can be wonderful for them. Leaving their horrific past behind them. Just when things seem to be going their way, even if it wasn't their plan, will their past and danger come back and threaten that future--even their lives?

The two are characters the reader will love. There is plenty of steam and lots of action with the Wheels & Hogs crew.

I could not put this book down. It made me laugh and cry. It tore at my heart strings. Cadence is a broken man. He has so many issues he deals with from his past. To get through things he has one night stands to erase the pain. He meets Trinity and loves her humor. Trinity has her owe problems and wants to forget them when she's out. She's different than any other person Cadence hooks up with. I love how this story has great flow. You get wrapped up in the characters.  Love this book. Make sure you have tissues close by. I give it 5 stars.

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc of this book. Cadence has been thru a lot thru his childhood to present he is a man whore. He and trinity are friends but he wants her for more. She puts him in his place several times. Trinity has been abused by her father. She and cadence hooks up and there is an accident. She isn't seen for a while. When she is found she looks bad. Cadence and his friends help her. Everyone in this book helps them in several ways. You may need tissues towards the end. Her and his baby may be the key for what is going on with fern. I can't wait to read the next book.

3 1/2 stars. This book is Cadence and Trinity. Both of them have a past where they suffered some horrible events. This book deals with abuse, both physical and mental. It also deals with healing therefore it was a good book to understand things that can and do happen to people. One thing I didn't like was I thought Cadence was more of a cry baby., but that is the way some are. I also thought there would be a little more events with Roman and Derek. This is part of a series, but can be read alone.

I started with the second book in the series and I was not disappointed. The story is intriguing and heartbreaking all at the same time. It will draw you in and you can only hope that at the end there is retribution for these two lost souls. Cadence is a bit of man whore and his story is so sad that you will find yourself in tears. Trinity's story is no better. Do not start this at work! I can not wait to read the rest of the stories as there are many characters that you will want to see get their happy ending.
