4⭐️5🌶️ another amazing read from seven. I absolutely adore her writing and just all of her books.
📚: this follow Darwynn who recently broke up with Dr boyfriend and ended up on a six month trip to Canada. When she stops at a restaurant she finds out that her ex’s dad lives near by and she wants to know his side of the story. She ends up going to the town and meeting Caspian her ex dad and they hit it off.
🤍: if you want spice with some plot that’s a quick read this is for you. I will always recommend and love sevens books. This one felt different from all of her others and I loved that. I read this in a matter of two hours and couldn’t put it down.

Holy smokes! This is a quick read with a really endearing plot and a whole lot of filthy spice!
While out on a month long road trip, Darwynn stumbles upon her exes estranged father. When the opportunity presents itself she can’t say no to finding and learning his side of the story. What she doesn’t anticipate is the bond she forms with former famous actor, Caspian King. This comes as an even bigger shock to Caspian who find himself drawn to his son’s ex - enjoying her company more than he has with anyone else in his entire life.
The mouth on Caspian King - the things he said and did… I would do anything that man said. I am obsessed with him. I mean those scenes live rent free. I can’t get over how attracted I am to a 60 year old fictional man based on words he said alone, alas here I am.
The chemistry between Darwynn and Caspian was incredible. The instant attraction and pull they have to one another was amazing! I loved the build up…the slower burn was worth it - when they finally got together it was explosive!
This is a must read for taboo, age gap romance lovers!

Quickie Review: I wanted to go in loving this one but in the end it was just a really good read. It kept my attention for the most part and I adored there was such a huge age gap (40yrs). But it was just a good, spicy read. I was a little disappointed that we only heard about her ex (his son) finding out about them. Especially when I thought it would have played a bigger role in the story itself. Good, forbidden romance. 4 Stars.

Me and my bsf have yet again spun the wheel and this time it landed on this one… After the Pluto one though anything would be better lol. What made us initially add it onto our little wheel was because we were intrigued by the 40year age gap, yep that’s 4 and 0 big 40 making the MMC 61 and FMC 21…. It was more curiosity of how things would you know… work🫠 I do love a good age gap especially an ex’s dad but 40???
So anyway we read it.
Thing is most of the time I actually forgot about their age gap unless it was mentioned and just read the story, and to be fair it wasn’t that bad. The tension between them was really good, like the accidental touches and acts of possessiveness were really enjoyable. And that man was absolutely possessive didn’t let no man make his girl uncomfortable “And you’ll be sorry and hurt if you don’t get the fuck away from her.” - swoon
It kept me interested for the most part and wanted to keep reading to find out how it would all turn out. The spice was also really good, wasn’t anything too intense but definitely hot with Caz having one filthy mouth. “That’s it, baby. Take it like the good girl you are,” - ok hottie.
However, it was all great when age was forgotten which I feel bad for saying because HELLO it’s an age gap romance but such a large gap maybe isn’t for me??
I did enjoy seeing the plot develop and Caz and his son get their moment together finally, that was really sweet to see and I was happy for them!
BUT, and this is a huge BUT, how can we not have been given Julian’s reaction to their relationship!! And no I don’t believe that he would have taken it pretty well as mentioned in the book when they told him at Christmas, not with the way he acted throughout the book, there’s no chance he would just be like “yeah you’re my ex who’s fucking my dad I hated a minute ago? Oh yeah cool, anyway pass the peas” Nope!
It wasn’t a bad read though, there were quite a few spelling mistakes tho which were distracting but not enough to make a huge impact but definitely noticeable, other than that I didn’t have a bad time reading it, it definitely had good moments. If you’re looking for something with more spice and tension than plot then go for it especially if you’re into big age gaps, it helps that it was a short read too!

This book falls a little more in the contemporary romance category than is usually the case with this author's work. There is still spice and has the age gap/ex's dad tabooness though. It fairly lighthearted, but has some angst. (Between the ex and his dad.) It reads easily, though I noticed several minor editing errors throughout, ("she" instead of "he" type of things,) so if that bothers you as a reader, consider this your warning. It alternates POVs, though mostly from the FMC. As I mentioned, there is spice that is suitable for mature readers. I really enjoyed the story and the plot, but I'll be honest, the writing wasn't as good as the author's books usually are. (Almost felt like a debut novel.) Having said that, I did enjoy the read and would read it again.

If you don’t wanna read an age gap romance… what’re you doing here??
I thought the story was good, and the spice was hot. In fact I think the spice was better than the actual plot. Every time the story progressed outside of the spice there were SO MANY TYPOS. Especially in the final chapters when they reunite with Julian.
The typos really decrease the overall quality of the book. The author should really invest in a good editor. There were so many I couldn’t bring myself to give it more than 3 stars.
