This story is really amazing. It was also interesting to read the diet suggestions, etc. especially since he is a medical doctor. There's lots of pictures too! I'm motivated to lose some pounds now. He says not to diet until you're ready to change your eating style for the rest of your life. Otherwise, you lose and then gain it back and that's not good for you.

Subtitled "How a 467 lb. Physician Hit His Ideal Weight and How You Can Too".

Interesting read as an autobiography but not as a weight loss book. Totally unrealistic.

His solution to loosing weight. Take a radical sabbatical (quit your job) and drink only liquids for 8 months.

Inspiring weight loss/life-change story about a San Diego Doctor who spent a season traveling around the country going to games at every Major League Baseball stadium and living on protein shakes.

Listened to the audio. Dr. Nick is now one of the medical advisors for TOPS Weight Loss Club, that is why I wanted to read the book. His story is interesting. Still wondering why a physician would let himself get so fat (I used to work for a similar doctor). His story is inspirational in that if he can do it, I can do it. And that's what it's all about with weight loss stories.

This is a pretty interesting book. This guy's diet consists of buying a motor home and driving to every baseball field in America to see a game and only drinking liquids the whole time. Glad it worked for him, but what's a game without beer hot dogs and peanuts. Not the diet for me.

This was a great book. I am presently working on my eating habits. I saw Dr. Nick speak at my church and it was very insperational.

A good motivational/inspirational book for the very obese and those with compulsive eating issues. This is not a diet book - Dr. Yphantides doesn't promote any specific type of diet plan.
