Well that book was a delight! I absolutely eat up secret baby trope and I loved how this one was done. Carson, Andi and Matteo were the perfect family and my heart melted for them.

I love how Cali writes this team, and all the Dads of the Aston Archers are quickly becoming my favorites. And Carson, I’m pretty sure I love him the most. He’s this playboy that had a no strings attached one night stand, and the. Years later finds out he has a son. The way this man reacts… green flags all around. I melted for watching him and Matteo.
I also really loved Andi too for making the best choices she could in the situation and then really making sure Carson got to know their son. Plus the insane chemistry between the two of them didn’t hurt either.
These two were equal parts spicy and sweet and I loved them. Also the kitchen scene 🥵🥵
This book was a quick, easy to get lost in read, and I loved every second of it.
Now grabby hands for Caleb’s story because I need his HEA so so bad.

Carson, Andi and Matteo have my heart. That’s my review. That’s it. Or at least it definitely could be. My gosh, this is the absolute sweetest story.
I adore Cali and the Aston Archer series. Every single book has been fantastic, but there is just something about this story that had me seriously swooning the entire time I was reading it.
One night stand, secret kid, reformed playboy ish/ against relationships… the entire vibe of the book is immaculate. Andy and Carson have insane chemistry and watching their relationship bloom after they came back into each other lives was perfect. Along with that, watching Carson build a relationship with Matteo was the freaking sweetest thing ever.
Overall, this book was chefs kiss. I loved it. I love the series and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good sports romance series. Really hoping for Caleb’s book next 😍🤞🏻

This book revolves around the story of Carson and Andi, who crash into each other years after their one-night stand. However, this meeting is filled with surprises, as Carson discovers that he has a son.
The reaction to the secret child felt so natural and real that I truly experienced every emotion both characters felt throughout the encounter. I thoroughly relished reading those raw emotions, which were expressed so well.
Andi was such a mature and sweet character. The way she navigated through situations, regardless of how challenging they might have been, was commendable. I loved her throughout the book and wish I possessed some of her qualities.
Carson is the typical playboy, but his heart is pure. I loved how his character was portrayed; it showed that he is sweet, honest, loyal, and loving. His bond with Matteo is amazing.
Andi and Carson were so good together; their chemistry was simple yet sweet. This is a SLOW burn, so things take their time to develop.
I screamed so loudly at some moments because the angst was incredibly high and satisfying. THE SPICE was absolutely brilliant, especially that one scene.
Side characters -
1. Matteo was so adorable and smart.
2. The boy group was simply adorable—silent yet always dedicated supporters.
3. I'm eager to see what Cali has in store for Caleb. His character stood out the most for me, and I fell for him a little.

I loved this series until this book. I’m trying hard to find the words to explain the 2 stars. It felt super rushed and was really weird how he started calling him dad right away, MMC had no legit reason why he couldn’t be in a relationship, she couldn’t find a famous hockey player in a town she new he lived in to tell him she was pregnant? And for 5 years? It just felt super odd and the story didn’t align. Very odd book.

After I finished the previous book, I was beyond excited to dive into Carson's story—it did not disappoint! This book was such a delightful and quick read. The romance between Carson and Andi was super sweet and adorable. I loved how the main characters took their time to get to know each other. Also, Matteo is the cutest little boy, and I loved how he and Carson bonded over hockey.
Carson and Andi have a one-night stand and part ways afterward. That night leads to Andi getting pregnant, but when she tries to reach out to Carson, it doesn’t work out. Fast forward six years, and when Andi returns to Aston, they bump into each other again at a grocery store. Carson is shocked when he learns that Matteo is his son, but he also knows instantly that he wants to be involved in his son's life.
I loved how Carson and Andi's relationship blossomed naturally. They take the time to get to know one another, becoming co-parents and friends before their romance develops. It was heartwarming to see how they understood each other and worked on honest communication to avoid misunderstandings. Those sweet moments of Carson spending time with Matteo were so heartwarming! At first, Carson struggles with doubts about being in a relationship, but it’s so endearing to watch him come to realize he wants more with Andi. I loved how he was so attentive, sweet, and caring toward her!
Overall, this was such a sweet and lighthearted romance with just the right amount of spice. Both Carson and Andi’s families are fantastic, and I loved the camaraderie among the hockey players. I’m especially curious about Carson’s brother, and hopefully, we get his story next!

Super cute and spicy book that I read in one sitting! When Carson and Andi have a steamy one night stand, neither of them looking for anything else. But when they bump into each other at the store, both of their lives are changed. This was such a cute book with Carson getting to know and spend time with Matteo and I loved how they just fit together! And the chemistry between Carson & Andi is still very much present!

This one had me from the very start and I loved these two together so much!! Carson and Andi’s chemistry was there from the very beginning, it was electric! Matteo was such a sweetheart and I loved getting to see the couples from previous books!! I haven’t found a Cali Melle book that I didn’t just devour and this one was no different. I so recommend this book!!

OK, I took a few days to think about how I wanted to review this book. I enjoyed the overall plot of the book and I’m definitely giving it a four stars because the overall enjoyment but for me this didn’t feel as deep as the previous books and it just didn’t vibe with me.
I don’t know if it was just because instant lust kind of made it feel cheap. The mains have a one night stand, and the FMC finds out much later while living in another country that she’s pregnant. She tries to get in touch with the MMC on social media a few times and then gives up and just lives her life.
The death of her aunt sees her inheriting a house in the same city that the MMC plays hockey professionally in when they meet at the store and he realizes that the five year-old boy standing next to his one night stand is his son.
They don’t get together right away, despite having the instant and still functioning lust between them despite now coparenting a child and the five year difference
I guess my main issue was that I didn’t quite understand or feel that the MMC had any legitimate reason as to why he thought he couldn’t be in a relationship.
Because he’s super into hockey, that was it, that was his whole reason. A career that he knows will eventually end it just seemed totally illogical, especially when he repeats it all the time like you never really thought this through dude?
He comes from a stable and loving parents, he has a good relationship with his parents.
He has a good relationship with his brother.
He had a good relationship with his deceased sister-in-law. All of his friends are in relationships.
I guess it would make sense to me if it went the way of, he saw his brother lose his wife and because of that he scared to lose anybody. But it never really went that way it was just like he didn’t give a shit enough???
I don’t know it was just kind of a weird part of the book.
A slight weird part are the kids in this series are consistently written talking and acting like adults, instead of acting like kids 🤷🏻♀️
The FMC situation was odd because she did try to tell the guy that she was pregnant and couldn’t reach him, but also didn’t try very hard, so I don’t know that just kind of seemed sketchy to me
I guess it’s supposed to be a good thing that she lets him come to the realization of all the changes and things he’s feeling himself but, that could literally never be me. I just kind of felt like she’s accepting of what little affection he’s willing to give at the time because she hopes he comes to his senses and I’m just not about that.😂

Make Your Change is a romance that begins with a one-night stand. It follows the story of Andi and Carson alongside Matteo, the cutest kid in the world. This slow burn kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. Add to that the intertwining fate that pushes Andi and Matteo to move in with Carson, and you have a forced proximity for a perfect recipe. I always recommend Cali Melle's books, and this one is no exception.

That said, a tiny part of me craved a bit more sexual tension and conflict. Things went so smoothly—no real screw-ups, no fights, and Matteo was basically the dream kid: never difficult, sad, or angry. I kind of missed that juicy third-act breakup or the emotional intensity and sexual tension that usually comes with forced proximity.
I also missed the friend group from earlier books. Carson barely interacted with anyone but his brother, and Andi didn’t seem to connect with anyone at all. Still, I adored Carson and Andi together. Carson is, once again, the perfect book boyfriend and daddy. Despite a few things I hoped for, my love for this series won out in the end.

This series just keeps getting better and better and with book number 4 in the series, it’s almost over 😭 (and no I’m not okay). Cali you have outdone yourself with this entire series! 👌🏼🤩

Make Your Change follows the story of Andi and Carson's one night of passion which leads to the birth of Matteo.
Years later Andi is forced to move to Aston where Carson currently resides due to him playing for the hockey team. If you've been following the Aston Archers series then you know Carson or Ford is one of the forwards and has a brother who lost his wife. Anyway, this story isn't about his brother although we see a lot of him in this book. Whether it be on the receiving end of advice or the giving end. Carson's brother is a huge part of this book and the reason why we get a happy ever after.
Andi moves to Aston to close up her Aunt's house that was given to her after her passing. There are so many issues with this old home that Andi and Matteo end up staying with Carson after they run into him in the supermarket. Okay.. pause reader and let me rewind.
Andi and Matteo come into town and are in the grocery store.. Carson is ALSO in the same store.. he helps Matteo pick the lactose free mac and cheese and puts two and two together. Andi apparently tried to reach out but not really? These two work out how they are going to co-parent with a little FWB.. PS FWB with co-parenting never ends in no feelings.

I swear Cali Melle can do no wrong when it comes to hockey romances, and now the single parent + hockey romances?! CHEFS KISS!
This is book 4 in her Aston Archers series and I love me a reformed playboy (Carson) who is down bad for his woman (Andi)! It was so sweet, cute, swoony, and heartwarming!
Carson & Andi had a hot AF (chapter 1!!!) one night stand six years ago, never expecting to see each other again, but Carson has had Andi in the back of his mind ever since! He doesn't do dating, only hook ups, but Andi was something special. Andi is also left with a "souvenir" from that night that Carson has no idea about.
Fast forward to a grocery store run in when Andi & her son Matteo return to Aston, & helllllo secret baby trope! I LOVE IT! Carson as a dad is just the sweetest thing, he truly steps up and in like he was always there, and I love the connection that he and Matteo have!
Seeing how he and Andi develop was great too! He knew he felt something different for her, but he had to come to that realization over time, and really getting that family/home feeling when they have to stay with him. Let me add, this man says the filthiest things to Andi then turns around and melts your heart with how sweet he is and how he worships her! Love a man that can do both! lol!
PS: I cannot WAIT for Caleb's story! That man deserves all the love!

I dropped everything I was doing to read this book. I was starved!
Andi met Carson at a club after accidentally bumping into him and spilling her drink all over him. She was out looking for a distraction after finding out that her ex had announced his engagement. Carson told her he’d be the perfect kind of distraction, since he wasn’t looking for anything serious. Like Andi, he wanted no strings.
But after their magical night together, he found himself wishing she’d left him her number.
Six years later, Andi returns to Aston and somehow ends up back on Carson’s radar. Only this time, she’s not alone. She’s come back with a 5 year old boy who looks a lot like Carson Ford.
When I was first introduced to Andi and Mateo in Make Your Save, I really thought this book was going to be your typical second chance romance but clearly, I was wrong. Andi and Carson were total strangers.
Their love story flowed effortlessly throughout the book. But it could’ve easily been a 400+ page book, I needed more of them! The steam, the chemistry, the romance, and everything in between were so good… but dang it, I just wanted the book to be longer!
Honestly, I don’t even know how to rate this book. Sure, it was good and I loved it. But did it satisfy my craving for these two? No. I needed more.
But anyways, I'm excited for Caleb’s book. I’m very hopeful for this single/grieving dad.

4.5 ⭐️ | 3 🌶️
This is such an underrated hockey romance series, but it's one of my favorites! Every book draws you in from the very beginning and leaves you wanting more, and this book was no different.
I absolutely loved the story between Carson and Andi. This book kicks off with a bang, literally, and just keeps going from there. You can tell there is so much chemistry between them, and it was inevitable that their story would end the way it did.
Carson was just the cutest little reformed playboy who wanted nothing but to have Andi and Matteo in his life for good. He showed up when he needed to, took responsibility for his actions, and became the man and father they deserved. He was every bit as sweet as he was spicy, and I loved him for that.
Andi was a great FMC and mom to Matteo. She knew what she wanted for not only herself, but her son. She really came into her own in this book and the way she took a chance for her family was so nice to read.
I will say the only things I didn't love about the book was how quick Matteo was to call Carson "dad", and that I wanted more interactions between Andi and Carson. But other than that, I loved this book, and I cannot wait for Caleb 'cuz I know that man is about to ruin us all!! Thank you to Cali for the ARC Copy!!

I LOVED this book so much😭😍 This was my first book of Cali Melle's and I'll definitely be reading more of her books! This is the 4th book in the Ashton Archers Hockey series that follows Andi & Carson.
Andi & Carson met one night at a bar and it was insta-lust. They couldn't stay away from each other, but promised each other it was for only 1 night. Now 6 years later, Andi is back in Aston to handle her late aunt's estate. Running into Carson in the grocery store was the last thing she could have imagined, but it happened😅 and Carson now knows he's a father.
The chemistry between Andi & Carson was off the charts! The slow burn added so much tension I was kicking my feet several times! Even with all the attraction, I loved that their relationship grew overtime and they formed a stronger connection than just attraction.
The relationship between Carson and Matteo was so adorable. Carson fit into the father role so perfectly.
While Carson was heartbroken that he missed out on Matteo's life, he was understanding that Andi tried her best, wanted the best for everyone and was protecting her son
I adored how all the players were there for each other and I can't wait to read all the books in this series! Caleb's story is next and I'm excited for the grumpy single dad to find love again.

Aston Archers Hockey became my favorite Cali Melle series because it has the best and most charming characters I've ever read from the author, and of course Carson & Andi were no exception! I LOVED how their story began, how they reunited, and how difficult it was for both of them to find their way back to each other. I also loved that Cali gave me a much broader look at Caleb and his story and I can't wait to read it.
Andi won me over from the prologue: I loved her determination to get what she wanted from Carson the night they met, her strong personality, always loving towards Matteo and looking out for the best for her little one. I also loved that the author showed me a heroine who had difficulties after finding out about her unexpected pregnancy, BUT who managed to fulfill her dreams and always had the support of her family. And that's another thing I loved about this character, Andi's relationship with her older brother and how the love is evident between them.
Carson is one of the characters I was most looking forward to reading, especially after the preview that Cali gave me in the previous book, and I was not disappointed! I loved reading Carson as a committed and loving friend throughout the series, but seeing him in Make Your Change as the brother who turns to his older brother for advice whenever he needs it was so much better, and when the book got to the point where we saw him as a new dad, that was when the author completely melted my heart. I also enjoyed reading him being a complete mess with Andi and his feelings for her, while it was a little frustrating at times, I think it was also very real.
Andi and Carson have just one night where their connection is undeniable, but they both agree that nothing will go any further, and I love that this is so far from reality. That's why I absolutely loved the scene where Cali shows Carson that he's a father to a little boy he never knew about. And I love even more the charming way in which this author chose to tell the love story of this couple, how Carson is discovering a new part of himself and showing Andi who he really is in the process, I also really enjoyed Andi putting limits on Carson when necessary and both of them discovering that life is much more than what they expected.

AMÉ como empezó su historia, como se reencontraron y lo complejo que fue para ambos encontrar su camino de vuelta al otro y también me encantó que Cali me diera un vistazo mucho más amplio de Caleb y su historia.
Andi me enamoró por completo desde el prologo: amé su determinación de obtener lo que quería de Carson la noche que se conocieron, su personalidad fuerte, siempre amorosa con Matteo y buscando lo mejor para su pequeño, además, me encantó que la autora me mostrara a una heroína que tuvo dificultades después de enterarse de su embarazo inesperado, PERO que logró cumplir sus sueños y siempre contó con el apoyo de su familia. Y esa es otra de las cosas que me encantó de este personaje, la relación de Andi con su hermano mayor y lo mucho que se nota el amor entre ambos.
Carson es uno de los personajes que más ganas tenía de leer, especialmente después del adelanto que Cali me dio en el libro anterior, y no me decepcionó! Amé leer a Carson como un amigo comprometido y amoroso a lo largo de la serie, pero verlo en Make Your Change como el hermano que busca concejo en su hermano mayor siempre que lo necesita me gustó muchísimo más, y cuando el libro llega al punto en el que vemos a este personaje como nuevo papá fue cuando la autora me derritió el corazón por completo. Además, disfrute leerlo siendo un completo desastre con Andi y sus sentimientos por ella, aunque a veces era un poco frustrante, creo que también fue muy real.
Andi & Carson tienen un solo encuentro en el que su conexión es innegable, pero ambos acuerdan que no habrá nada más, y amo que eso este completamente alejado de la realidad, por eso amé con locura la escena en la que Cali le muestra a Carson que es papá de un pequeño del que no sabía nada. Y amo aún más la manera tan encantadora en la que esta autora eligió contar la historia de amor de esta pareja, como Carson va descubriendo una nueva parte de si mismo y le muestra a Andi quien es en realidad en el proceso, también disfruté mucho a Andi poniéndole limites a Carson cuando fue necesario y a ambos descubriendo que la vida es mucho más de lo que ellos esperaban.

Thank you so much Cali and her team for this ARC!! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to read this book early and give my honest opinion in this review. You all still have plenty of time to read the first three stories in this series before Make Your Change officially releases on July 27th!! 💛⛸️🏒✨

Another sweet addition to the Aston Archers series. It follows Carson Ford, star NHL defenseman, discovering his one night stand that plagues his mind often is actually back in town for the summer… and she is the mother of his son he didn’t know about. This story is a slow burn with a secret kid, forced proximity, and a second chance at a romance that never really started with a side of hockey.
What I loved most about this story was the honesty between Carson and Andi as they navigate a tricky post one night stand/secret kid tension and butterflies filled relationship. I loved that they continually tried to communicate their feelings but were patient and understanding with each other as they figured it out. They didn’t give up on each other but demonstrated trust and maturity. I felt like Cali did a great job balancing a tight line of feelings being communicated without it being a miscommunication trope and without creating a third act breakup (YAY). The declarations of feelings and emotions were worth the wait once they got there it was so, so sweet.
I will say, I know it was off season, but I missed seeing the Aston Archers boys and their wives and families a little bit more and hope to see them again in future books. Cali does a great job of creating a found family but also creates real team vibes in her books. She does a great job showcasing friendships within a friend group and within a team and I missed it some in this story. Carson’s brother, Caleb, was there often and when he needed him most, but without the whole team/friend group this story felt less about hockey, but the alternative is that it definitely made their relationship more intimate.
Overall, a great continuation into the Aston Archers series. I love all these little families in Aston and this hockey team full of dads. This was a sweet, slow burn for Carson and Andi and their son Matteo after their one night stand. I loved the chemistry, the tension, and the cutest five year old boy afraid of cooties but hoping his parents would get together anyway.
Alright well with all of that being said, don’t worry about me as I mentally and emotionally preparing to be destroyed by Caleb’s story next…

It’s 6 years later and he finds out when they run into each other at the grocery store when she’s in town to fix up her late aunt’s house. When mold is found at her aunt’s house and they can’t stay there for at least a month, Carson invites her and Matteo to stay with him. Carson and Andi obviously have chemistry, so while Andi knows he doesn’t do relationships, she can’t deny the attraction. Andi spends more nights w/Carson and knows she loves him but wonders if he will ever get there. If he can’t be honest and admit his feelings, Andi doesn’t see a chance for them. Luckily, Carson’s brother Caleb, who he plays hockey with and lost his wife, reminds Carson to tell Andi now how he feels and not to waste time. 🥺

Cali’s stories are always filled with love, support and understanding. They’re such feel good books, that will warm your heart. This one is no exception!
Carson is a fun, sensitive and caring man, who loves to take care of the people he loves, more than himself. His mindset has always had a focus on hockey, until he meets Andi who changes his full world. Their dynamic is amazing to watch. Andi is such a strong, fierce, patient woman. I kept being amazed at how well she met all the obstacles in her way, in a very mature way.
The dedication fits PERFECTLY! “this one is for the besties who love a man written by a woman ;)”. The things he did for this woman!!

This book was soooo good!! Sometimes slow burn can be painful, but this one was done just right! I want to go back and read the rest of the series now!
Carson and Andi had some hot burning chemistry on the dance floor that ended in an even steamier one night stand, but that’s all it was ever meant to be. He didn’t do relationships and she was leaving to go out of the country. Fast forward 6 years and Carson is looking into the face of a 5 year old Matteo who looks a lot like himself. And when his mother comes around the corner, it’s confirmed.
As soon as it was confirmed he was a father, Carson was ready to jump in. It was the cutest and sweetest thing. He didn’t know what he was doing, but he was willing to try whatever it took. And Matteo was such a sweet kid. He was so excited to have a Dad. My heart melted at the scene of the two of them together. And when Andi and Matteo move in with Carson temporarily, things start to heat up. The connection between the two was not just a one time deal, it’s been burning for years. And now that they are together again, they can’t keep their hands off one another. But can Carson get over his fear of relationships to keep the girl and his son? Will Andi run back home where her comfort is?
So much character growth in this book! And the side characters, had me cracking up!!!

Okay, so this book had me emotionally spiraling in the best way. If you're into secret baby tropes, forced proximity, second chances, AND a swoony hockey player who’s hit with a surprise “congrats, you're a dad!”, this one’s for you.
The story kicks off when Andi shows up in her late aunt’s house to fix it up, only to come face-to-face with Carson Ford, the Aston Archers’ hotshot defenseman and, oh yeah… the father of her son. Surprise! The woman he never really got over never told him, and now she and her little boy end up staying in Carson’s guest room while trying to navigate this whole “hey, by the way, meet your kid” situation.
Carson? He is your typical broody hockey guy but a total softie under the grumpy athlete exterior. Watching him bond with his son and figure out how to forgive Andi while trying not to fall back in love with her, was heart-melting. Let me tell you, this man goes from “what the actual h3ll” to full-on dad mode faster than you can say “do you like dinosaurs or trucks?” Watching him try to handle his feelings, and not completely combust every time she walks by in a hoodie was chef’s kiss.
Andi for her part, is juggling a truckload of guilt, heartbreak, and “please don’t hate me, but also I still kind of love you” energy. And she’s not there for the drama, either. She was just trying to fix up her late aunt’s house, not unleash total emotional chaos. She’s strong, doing her best, and trying to do right by her kid while also not drooling every time Carson walks around shirtless (which is… often).
It’s awkward. It’s emotional. It’s adorable. And yes, there’s tension so thick you could skate on it. A secret baby reveal that hits hard. Forced proximity (hello, living under one roof). An obsessed but respectful hockey dad hero. A little angst, a lot of heart, and some solid steam. Is it a bit predictable? Sure. Did I care? Nope. I was all in.
