[Siren Everlasting Classic Erotic Alternative Romance, M/M, HEA] Cecil Montgomery took one look at Manuel Lopez and knew he wanted the handsome marine in his life. Convincing Manny of that might be harder than anything Cecil has ever faced before, especially when fate seems determined to keep them apart. After one night of passion in the arms of Cecil Montgomery, Manuel Lopez runs in the other direction. Besides the fact that Cecil is so gorgeous he makes Manny ache, the man is rich, and Manny has a deep hatred of anyone with money, a hatred that goes back nearly twenty years. When confronted by the man that started it all, Manny realizes he might have made a mistake, but by then, it's too late. Cecil wants nothing to do with him. Worse yet, Cecil's life is in danger and Manny and his fellow marines might not even be able to save him. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
About Me I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.
I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

I love a Stormy Glenn story !! Deep characters, action, interesting plots, and super hot sex. In this book (which can stand a lone, but is better if you know the previous people) we have Cecil, very rich man who has an affair with Manny, Marine and hot Latin lover, and afterward, Manny leaves. In Manny's past a very rich bad guy got his sister pregnant and had her killed, but got away with it. Young Manny served jail time for beating on him, but never got justice. To Manny rich guys are all alike. Except Cecil is in Manny's heart and he's fighting it. When Cecil arranges to be with Manny, they have a great sexy M/M night, but Cecil is gone by morning. Manny only knows where to find Cecil and goes there. Manny doesn't know Cecil has a brain tumor until after he arrives. Cecil tries to get him to leave, but he won't go.
Cecil realizes many came just for him, not because he's sick. Their relationship hasn't a chance if Cecil is dying, but Manny is there for the long haul. Major action with snipers taking shots at Cecil or is it at Manny? Cecil gets shot.
A lot is happening, a plan is drawn up, and the bad guy, same as Manny's from the past, is dealt with. Deep romance, loving caresses, with true love. Highly recommend ! ENJOY !!!
I loved it! I cried in this one. There is a scene where Cecil's heart is ripped out. A lot of things happen in this book, maybe far fetched, but it is fiction, and this story was very entertaining. It is a fast read and we finally find out why Manny likes "pringles" and how imperative it is to keep cans around.
Many things happen in this book, but I did not feel like there was any loose ends... I do love this series!
I felt cheated. I absolutely LOVED this book. LOVED. Like 5 star, re-read a billion times love.
The problem is that when Manny finds Cecil, whose been ill for a while, and he declares his love, I wanted to see HIM TAKE CARE OF CECIL. He starts to, he gets all the advise from the recluse who is either a driver or a protector or whatever for Cecil. And then like 5 minutes later? Cecil is shot in the head and BOOM, magically they reach the rest of his tumor. He's left with phantom hand syndrome and I'm left with being cheated out of watching Manny take care of Cecil. It's kind of like insta-love, but it was instal-cure. It's like Stormy Glenn didn't want to deal with it, and almost hilariously fast, fixed the problem. The problem with Cecil anyway, because what she left was the problem that we didn't get to see manny actually take care of his love. We saw him start to be informed about the condition, we saw him accept responsibility, but instead of glorious hurt/comfort take-care-of-a-loved-one, BOOM. Problem fixed. I don't mind that they were able to cut out the tumor because he was shot, I mind that it happened so soon. #dishappointed
3.5 Stars ~ I liked Cecil and Manny’s story although Manny’s ridiculously fast turnaround from “I don’t like him” to “I love you, you’re my everything” was pretty insta. The medical portion of the story was somewhat far fetched in areas but...... meh, what do ya do, right? Just roll with it.
Cecil was a great character and finding out the secret to Manny and his Pringles was sad but heartwarming, too.
Still waiting for Glenn to get back into her once-upon-a-time glory. To name all the ridiculous shit in this book:
- X is diagnosed with brain cancer - X cures it by taking a bullet to the brain (I wish I was joking) - X plans a hostile takeover of a company and then succeeds 3 days later - He then convinces some bad guy's money manager to donate all his monies

The beginning illustrates the idiocy of giving your heart and soul away to a one-night stand. Poor Cecil sounds delusional and stalkerish. (“The signs [that he was not interested] had been there all along—Manny not taking his phone calls, the man leaving the room when Cecil walked in.” Ya think?) Disturbing, really.
Admittedly Manny is not much better, talking of love after the second one-night-stand, which by the way he spent drunk. And the way he takes over Cecil’s life after that? It’s more than pushy. Eh. By the way I find it interesting that Manny apparently regularly refuses any medication that might loosen his inhibitions – but he likes to get drunk out of his mind. Nice distinction there.
I am not impressed with the way Cecil is treated like a little kid in the wake of all this. Never mind that he should be dead several times over given all that happens. Although I am not going to quibble with that. It’s a fact that the brain is an astounding thing and all medical experience aside occasionally the weirdest things happen, including apparently miraculous cures. What I do not take in stride, however, is how quickly the man gets over the cancer treatments. I guess everything’s just peachy all of a sudden. Even while he is still feeling the effects, earlier on, he appears to have no problem achieving and sustaining an erection. I don’t know enough about chemotherapy but I always thought it played havoc with all of the body. Hm.
And there’s another thing. The story starts out with two sex scenes, basically. Then we get sickness and plenty of attacks. And only then do we get a little bit of romantic interaction between those two guys. I dunno but it seems to me to be the wrong way around.
At the end of all this I am once more underwhelmed, although I did not hate the book. It just did not make much sense and credibility was at an extreme low point (I’m not even going into the flimsy justifications for certain events). For a book that made me sniffle and cry for so many pages (I don’t deal well with depictions of terminal illness and loss) the pay-off did not suffice.
The next member of the team of former Marines who populate this series is Manny, and the issues he and the man who falls for him, Cecil, have to overcome range from personal issues all the way to serious health problems and even assassination attempts. At each twist and turn I held my breath, expecting disaster to happen – and it does, quite frequently. As a result this is an action-packed story with more than one revelation and a very hard-won happy ending.
Cecil has loved Manny from the first moment he saw the man. After one night together, Manny has been avoiding Cecil as Cecil embodies everything Manny hates, or so he thinks. Just when Manny realizes he wants Cecil, he is hit with the realization that Cecil is very ill and may not survive. On top of that, someone appears to be after Cecil and wants him dead.
I love both Cecil and Manny as characters. I love their story. Though Manny let's his past overtake his brains at times. Of course, the rest of the Special Operations gang plays a part in the book as well.
Great book abt Manny the Marine who grew up hating rich people for something that happened as a teen. Cecil is a bit mysterious to me. He's super rich and super awesome. Both of the boys had a rough start to their relationship and had to struggle to trust eachother. But when Cecil needed Manny most he was there and vice versa. This series is really great. It seems like it's going from great to awesome! And it look like there is going to be some great books in the future.
Another story with lots of drama and action. I'm not sure how Cecil survived but he does and I hope there are more books in the making (this is the 5th and last in the series so far) as I would love to see more of his personality shine through, he is quite the character and Manny complements him so well!
A long awaited continuation of the Special Operations series, and worth the wait. It might be helpful to reread at least the last few chapters of Harley's Heart to remind yourself of how Cecil and Manny met. The story flowed well and we learned more about both Cecil and Manny along the way. As with all of the stories in this series there is some villain trying to injure one of the couple. Not that these 2 seem to need the help as their own pasts and insecurities do that nicely. Cecil and Manny get their HEA and Manny gets more Pringles.
Minuses: - when he appears he continues his "me love you long time" routine, which makes me wonder why is the author so invested in keeping him in this child-like state while his sister speaks perfect English, an why it just *has* to be an Asian guy...
Other minuses: - absolutely, incredibly unbelievable, even for this genre and format, insta-love, which is much more annoying than the absurd plot.
Waiting to Breathe by Stormy Glenn took this reader by storm~ no pun intended. The slow buildup of Cecil and Manny’s relationship was a sensual trek of need and desire. Read More. . . http://www.darkdivasreviews.com/waiti...
Another great book by Stormy Glenn loved it I read it slowly to savour it but not slow enough . I can't wait to read her next book I hope it comes out soon I will be watching for it.
there were some gunshots and drama...but where was the story of the two falling in love? why did Cecil like Manny so much? we didn't get any of the romance.
If you throw out all sense of logic that a bullet to the head can help to completely remove brain tumours then this is another great addition to the Special operations series!
