Big Difference

Aston

Casual sex isn't my thing, but that changes when I see him on the dancefloor.

He's self-assured, captivating, and something tells me he could give me everything I crave from a man.

As they say, the best things in life come in small packages. It's a shame he leaves before I can unwrap him.

Seth

One look into his eyes, and I know he's different from the others. Good different.

And when he knocks on my door the next morning, I learn two things: he's the contractor I hired to remodel my kitchen and he's definitely not attached.

Aston needs someone to be there for him, and I can't help slipping into my natural role.

After all, what's the Big Difference between claiming Aston now or when he's no longer working for me?

Big Difference is a completely standalone MM short story with a size difference, role reversal, found family, and an elderly neighbor with no boundaries.

Short kings can still top
Seth and Aston met at a nightclub but a miscommunication means they don't go home together, no matter how much they want to. The next day Aston turns up on Seth's doorstep as the new contractor he hired to re-do his kitchen. I like the dynamic between these characters. Seth is a short king at a foot shorter than Aston (5'3" to Aston's 6'3") but rather than the bigger character being the top/dominant one, Aston is shy and the more submissive one. The juxtaposition works really well and was refreshing to see. With this being only a novella we miss out on them getting to know each other but it doesn't react from their chemistry. I really enjoyed this.

Very short audiobook but a nice story and intro to this author for me. Plus Alexander Cendese narrating made this a tasty treat.

In short, after a misunderstanding at a bar, Aaron arrives at Seth's house to begin a contracting job, and neither had ever met in person so both are surprised, and secretly pleased, after the misunderstanding is cleared up.

Aaron is big and sturdy, a contractor physique with extra padding. Seth is smaller, slender and mighty and is most definitely a Top. After getting to know each other, it's easy to see they are meant to be.

I've read this author before. I listened to the audio book. This is a short novella about Seth and Aston.
They meet at a club but nothing happens after sparks, but meet the next day when Seth's kitchen contractor arrives and it's Aston. A great next door neighbor of Seth's is awesome for the story. Family drama for Aston and his brother Zander, but love remains strong. I need more!!

I got this short story free with a group of audiobooks that were being given away a couple weeks ago. I know it is a short story, but it moved too fast. I didn't actually feel any chemistry between the two. I did appreciate that the author didn't make the larger man the top.

This is a rather short but oh so sweet tale of finding someone special only to lose them, and of over-coming a judgmental, homophobic family. A very touching, enjoyable read.

I struggled with this one. Listened to the audio and it wasn't quite my jam.
