This book, originally published in 1978, is a little dated (a lot of the technical tips are no longer current). However, it has lots of gems on starting your own bootstrapped business.

I really enjoyed this read. It made me wish I had the guts to leave my job and go into work for myself and enjoy the freedom of self-employment. The book is a little outdated with Don's 70s examples, but the message is still relevant, especially in our age of information.

Sort of silly but fun and inspiring in the way 1970s practical idealism can be

Fantastic book on setting personal priorities and money. This is one mans way to living an independent life. It isn't for everyone, but the lessions are clear, his suggestions of multiple income streams, passive income, and taking time for yourself that is Not related to income. He distains 'jobs', and builds is career on it. I found that relivant even though I worked for others for most of my carreer. Yes I tried my own small businesses, independently and with partners, none panned out for me. Life goes on, take your lumps and make lemons into lemonaide every chance you get.
