I think of DA as the 'graduate program' of 12 step groups. Once you've gone through other kinds of recovery, money issues surface. This book brings them to light and provides experience, strength and hope that it is possible to live a life of solvency.

I have found recovery in several 12-step programs. Lucky for me, a family member has been active in DA for many years. All the turbulence in the economy had me worried repeatedly about money. I kept spotting this book in the shelf and told myself that I would read it someday. Then it hit me: Why not start now?

Like any of the 12-step literature — the stories and details change. This book is not about money, it is about having a healthy relationship with abundance. It is about wanting to be free of fear and worry.

I loved this book for its very real stories on Debtors like me and how they struggle to become better than they are everyday through some very harrowing circumstance. I have first hand witnessed the power of growth that can happen in this program if you stick with it. (Which can be hard)

Outside of the everyday meetings of Debtors anonymous and hearing the good, bad, and in progress from everyone when they share this book shows you what life is like on the other side of the addiction you find yourself suffering from.

I highly recommend this book and I believe everyone will have at least one story they truly resonate with.
