Forest ecology and the sweeping mountain landscape of Timber Run is my passion.
But it’s retired lumberjack Connor Leigh, who’s my biggest problem.
Older, much too confident, and built like he was born to hold an axe, this rugged beast of a man is hell-bent on building a ‘historical’ lumberjack reenactment camp right in the middle of my precious Timber Run.
If I don’t stop him, he’ll bulldoze right over everything I’m trying to protect.
So I’m determined to make him truly see the delicate ecosystem he threatens to destroy.
But when a freak thunderstorm traps us together in one tiny tent, the only thing that seems to hold his attention…is me.
Turns out, Connor’s a whole lot more than just muscles and flannel, and I’m seeing a side to him I didn’t expect—one that has me burning up like a raging bonfire.
And I don’t know how long I can resist his teasing dirty talk or his achingly rough touch. Or if I even want to.
Will I be able to save the forest and my heart, or will this man bring all of it down with the swing of his axe?

Teased by the Lumberjack is part of the multi-authored Sexy Lumbersnacks series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, forced proximity, opposites-attract, virgin gets her lumberjack romance. Teagan is a 24 year old passionate graduate student and ecologist. Connor is a 43 year old hunky retired lumberjack who wants to start a lumberjack camp. When Teagan encounters him in the forest, she is convinced he's going to ruin the forest ecosystem. When they get caught in a storm, they end up sheltering in her tent. Both realize they may have misjudged each other and want similar things. It gets hot and steamy. Can these two make love work? They had such great chemistry, funny banter, and the ending was happy. I loved it.

Teagan, a grad student, is admiring the old growth in the forest that in Timber Run that tells a long history about this area. Forest ecology is her passion and this is the area where she will begin her project. She hears a splash from a nearby stream and goes to investigate in case tourists have left beer cans and cigarette butts around there. She starts to berate whoever is out of her view until she pushes aside some ferns and sees a naked man waist-deep in the water! She blatantly stared, examining him thoroughly, until he finally asked if she liked the view. After accusing him of contaminating the ecosystem with human bacteria and illegally occupying her research land, he tells her he has permits already pending for an educational project that offers the lumberjack experience -- no intention of damaging the land; lumberjacks work with the land and know what they are doing. Ignoring him, she listed the scientific names of creatures and plants that would be endangered without even knowing what his project actually was. He was unimpressed with her “scientific text jargon”. And she challenged him to prove his claim that his crew will be using pre-existing clearings from the ’80s logging roads and no old-growth would be touched. She was sure that he is lying about that, and doesn’t believe his denial that he would not be using a bulldozer! When Mother Nature steps in to straighten things out with a thunderstorm that keeps them together in a tent, will they use the time to work out their differences? And maybe see something worthwhile in each other?
Tegan is working on her PhD thesis on ecosystems in the forests. So far, her professor hasn't been impressed. While doing research, she hears someone where she's certain no one should be. That's when she meets Cooper.
Cooper is a retired lumberjack. He has plans to open an educational reenactment lumberjack camp. She's certain it will devastate the forest. He calls her a tree hugger.
Slowly they begin to believe that by working together they can combine their ideas and come up with a spectacular presentation that will enhance both of their ideas.
He'll still build his camp, and she'll be the science advisor. It's an idea that his grandfather would embrace. His grandfather had been a conservationist before there really was a word for what he believed in and practiced. Their ideas and his camp will honor the past, present, and future.
She just wants assurance that the romance developing between them isn't the only reason he's proposing this new plan. She wants to be taken seriously for the merit of her ideas. It's the birth of the Timber Run Eco-Historical Lumberjack Camp.
An unexpected romance arising? That's just a bonus!

Teased by the Lumberjack is a flirty, fast-paced romance that delivers just the right mix of spicy tension and sweet connection. Lexi Hayes crafts a sassy, irresistible story about passion—for nature, for ideals, and for one very tempting man in flannel.
Teagan is fierce, intelligent, and refreshingly grounded in her mission to protect the forest. Enter Connor—gruff, rugged, and unexpectedly charming. Their chemistry crackles like a campfire from the start, but when a thunderstorm forces them into close quarters, things really heat up.
This is more than just a steamy opposites-attract story—it’s about understanding each other’s worlds and finding common ground, both literally and emotionally. And let’s be honest… who can resist a retired lumberjack with a dirty sense of humor and a surprisingly soft heart?
Quick, delicious, and full of sass, Teased by the Lumberjack is perfect for readers who like their romance short, spicy, and packed with heart. The Sexy Lumbersnacks series continues to deliver, and Connor Leigh just might be my favorite “snack” yet.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect for fans of strong heroines, grumpy heroes, and steamy one-tent tension!

Teagan is in the forest of Timber Run studying the plant life. All of the old growth just speaks to her. But the lumberjack trespassing here wants to ruin everything! Connor is planning on setting up his business here. A logging reenactment camp. Teaching the next generation the sustainable logging ways of the past. A former lumberjack himself, he was taught by his grandfather how to log, but not strip the forest. If only he could convince this feisty woman that it wasn't a bad thing. Ooh! These two butt heads from the get go! Their purposes for the forest are at total odds, and neither of them are budging. Will Connor's persistence win out against Teagan's protection of the forest? Can they blend their ideas so that everyone wins? Connor loved pushing her buttons, knowing it would just wind her up. The push and pull was so much fun. They really did make a great team, and their compromises made the plan that much better. This was a fun little enemies to lovers romp in the forest. Even the woodpecker approved.

When fiercely independent grad student Teagan (h) hikes into the old-growth forests of Timber Run, she’s expecting solitude, data collection, and maybe a few stubborn mushrooms, not a naked, smart-mouthed ex-logger bathing in her research stream. Connor (H) isn’t just a walking lumberjack fantasy, he’s also planning to open a historical reenactment camp in the middle of Teagan’s study area. Things heat up as the two clash over conservation, land use, and just about everything else. But when a storm forces them into close quarters, their arguments give way to something a lot more complicated. As the lines blur between enemies and something more, Teagan and Connor are forced to figure out with what they really want, out of the land, their work, and each other. A steamy, age gap, instalove, opposites attract, lumberjack romance, exploring unexpected love, connection, compromise, clashing values, and learning how to build something real, together.
I wasn't expecting such fire and sass between a researcher and a lumberjack.
Teagan is just doing her thing in the woods, studying the ecosystem and documenting her finds. She hears noise and finds the gorgeous lumberjack in the lake, naked!! I love how Connor doesn't back off her for a second, calling her out when she stares.
His dream is a lumberjack re-enactment camp. She tags along to see if and make sure it won't ruin the forest. These two has such wit and sarcasm. It makes the whole chemistry between them rather explosive.
The best part of the book to me is as they come together and make a new dream...for both of them. Learning they can have it all. They can preserve the ecosystem, build the camp and make it sustainable. It just like the romance of the forest dreams. It really made them a solid couple, and working towards a goal greater then themselves.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. There were quite a few laughs. These two bickered lovingly. Teagan a smart Ecological Woman working on her PhD. studying all aspects of the forest. While out she hears water noises and makes her way to where they are coming from concerned that someone was encroaching upon the protected environment. She spots a naked man in the water and just freezes up till he notices her and asks if she’s enjoying the view. She tells him that he doesn’t belong there and he proceeds to tell her that he’s building a reenactment camp there. She spouts off ecological nonsense and he starts spouting off lumberjack nonsense. He introduces himself as Connor Leigh. By the time he gets out of the water a storm moves in and they are drenched by the time they make it to her tent. Inside her tent… 😊😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Teased by the Lumberjack by Lexi Hayes is part of the multi-author Sexy Lumbersnacks series. I really enjoyed this opposites attract romance between Teagan Kent and Connor Leigh. She is doing research for her PhD thesis and is staying in the forest when she meets a very naked man in the river. He turns out to be Connor and is there to start planning a lumberjack reenactment camp. This sets Teagan off and Connor is enraptured by her, even as she annoys him to a certain extent. But when they start to listen and understand what the other is really trying to do they find their can be come very fun and satisfying compromises, especially when they end up riding out a big thunderstorm in the same tent.
"logging is a conversation with the land, not a robbery"
Connor is stopped in his tracks by his sexy woodland nymph, he wasn't looking for a woman or love....but his feisty, passionate and determined conservation warrior steals his breath, his mind and his heart! It's fun, funny and steamy, I love that they find a common ground which combines both their passions and provides a beautiful future Teagan and Connor may not be close in age, but they are perfect for each other, both passionate about their beliefs but also both eager to learn and more than happy to combine their projects. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Teagan in Timber Run, she is trying to come up with a thesis that her professor will except when she heats splashing nearby. She does not expect to find a naked man in the stream. She tries to be slick and unobserved, but he catches her watching him.
Connor is going to be building a historical lumberjack reenactment camp right there in Timber Run. This starts the arguing/bantering back and forth, her assuming he is going to destroy the ecosystem. When a storm rolls in quick the two have to take shelter together, things heat up in side the tent. Will they be able to find a common ground for the land?.

I really liked these main characters. They were on completely different sides of an issue, and listening was a problem for one of them. So were preconceptions, but that's a whole other matter entirely what struck me was just how realistic the bickering and defensiveness was, for both of them. These were both people you could cheer on and champion, though I was a but partial to Connor. (No, not just cause he's the hot Lumberjack!) Fortunately though, teagan finally cane around too. I really think you'll enjoy the storyline, and hopefully the subsequent series.

Teagan and Connor have the YW/OM thing along with the opposites attract and a sprinkle of enemies to lovers. She’s an ecologically motivated grad student there to preserve and document the forest until her world is tipped upside down. Connor is embracing the wild and gets caught skinny dipping in a protected waterway. Sparks fly insults are thrown and assumptions are made. He’s building a Lumberjack Camp and together they find a way to keep warm, exchange ideas and naughty fun as they build a future together that blends their dreams and interests.

Skinny dipping on protected land by an “extinction enthusiast”, oh my 😂
“She’s nineteen years younger, stubborn as hell, and completely at odds with everything I thought I wanted. Yet somehow, in this small tent in the middle of a forest we both love for different reasons, she's become essential.”
What a fun, hot-as-hell, with a side of snark read. So easy to immerse myself totally and just enjoy the experience. Learned a few ecology facts as well. Loved the epilogue!.

What I especially loved:
Two headstrong, passionate and very likable characters, who on the first look don’t have anything in common or could never work out, but they make it work. They compromise, communicate and create a new dream together. It’s beautifully written and has a captivating flow.

Teased by the Lumberjack is filled with tension, debate, stubbornness, and heat. Teagan and Connor are a delight when they come together—each equally stubborn and sure they are right. Forest lovers from opposite view points, I loved watching them verbally spar until they figured out how to work together. The tension between them kept winding tighter and tenser, building an awesome love story in the process. Lexi Hayes is a fabulous writer who has delivered another short and sweet OTT romance.

It’s the forest ecologist against the lumberjack. Connor is determined to turn the mountain landscape of Timber Run into a reenactment camp. But when a thunderstorm traps them in a tent together, will they be able to get along and survive the night? Connor likes what he sees but will Teagan see a different side of him that she likes? What a great instalove story! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
“Teased by the Lumberjack” by Lexi Hayes -A witty, wild, and satisfying instalove in the Sexy Lumbersnacks series. I received a free copy of this ebook and am freely sharing my honest opinion. Connor and Teagan clash over the forest but spark in all the right ways.Their age gap, banter, and steamy chemistry make this a fast, fun read. Eco-tourism meets lumberjack charm in a tent full of tension and heat. My favorite line is “I’ve never seen one in person”.
I absolutely LOVE it when authors can take a really short romance and give the plot something beautiful and meaningful…like this book…Teased by the Lumberjack😍
Winding ecological responsibility and preserving traditional skills and ways of life like forestry, survival skills and lumberjacking into this plot ALONG with compromise was truly brilliant…aaaand these two are sexy as heck too🥰🤭

I didn't think I would enjoy this book, but the more I read, the more I liked it. Tegan is working on her thesis about the natural growth of fungi in the forest when she meets Connor. What a meeting that was! Tegan's character is so busy spouting her book facts that she has a very hard time listening to what Connor says. There is a lot of steam, and finally, she realizes that Connor isn't the idiot she imagined.

Teagan is a student steadying the complex ecosystem of the forest when she is disturbed by noises coming from the River
She find Connor bathing naked without a care in the world, that is until Teagan starts lecturing him about the forest and how using the river can disrupt the precious environment that thrives there.
Can the two of them co-exist in the forest without coming to blows
Another great read from Lexi.

Amazing story in amazing Sexy Lumberjacks series. Teagan bulldozed in his life and got under his skin. Connor is The Good, The Bad and the frustrating for her. But they both protect their values. Researcher and Lumberjack. Will synthesis of their seemingly opposite values become something good? It was funny, flirty and playfully written short and steamy reading, enjoyed it so much. One of the sweetest in the series.

Both in love with nature and all its beauty, the MCs can't help but fall for each other. The age gap doesn't dampen their fire for their causes or each other. They were on the cusp of creating two perfect unions when she stumbled upon her mountain man in his birthday suit. Shorty, steamy and a little eco-educational with a side of sassy banter. A fun read indeed.
