An amazing story that I really loved reading. Highly recommend this book. I know who will going to read it, will going to love it too.
Audra Carlisle is an actress, America’s sweetheart, until she made the mistake of sleeping with her project’s director, and the public turned against her. Concerned for Audra’s safety, her manager hires a bodyguard, Chase Colter, to protect her. Chase takes Audra to the remote Kodiak Island, Alaska, where they share a rustic cabin for six weeks. Audra thinks she is “Stranded in Bigfoot country with Grumpy McSilent” and balks at having “No Wi-Fi, no heat, (and) no staff,” while Chase thinks Audra is “allergic to the concept of roughing it.” Audra demands a new location after they survive a blizzard, rats, and a bear.
The book captured my attention from my first glance at the cover. The cover model immediately draws your attention with his sensuous, inviting look, similar to how Chase looks in the book. You’ll need a fan for this story. The chapters about Alaska had me laughing out loud with the snarky banter and the hilariousness of the situation. The MCs were well developed and wonderfully flawed with their witty banter, intense chemistry, lifechanging drama, and sensual love scenes. The book was a pleasure to read, and I highly recommend it.
Chase and Audra are the real deal right here in this romance book by Elle. I have never read a book by this author that I didn't LOVE including this book right here. This author has a god given talent that we all wish we had but only a select few do. So, start your day off with some heat, suspense and romance by reading this book and watch out because the Colter Brothers Security series is needing to be in your kindle.
This story hit all the high points that I look for in a great romance. There's hot spices, sexual tension, awesome dialogue that feels real, and really likable characters, for the most part. Sometimes you feel a little frustrated with them, but that's the intention. I really look forward to reading more by this author.
In hiding To avoid a scandal, Audra’s manager hires a bodyguard. Off grid the pair reignite old passions and form a bond. Back in the real world what will happen?.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the book was well written. It had a good plot that kept me invested in the story. The chemistry because Audra and Chase had me gripping my phone as I read. It had such good spice too. I definitely recommend.
Enjoyed this book and really liked boh the main characters. Their dynamic was good and each character showed their flaws to each other and to the reader. Really disliked Charlotte so was pleased with how the book ended!
I loved this book! Definitely five stars for me. The writing was excellent, the romance was awesome and the ending was spectacular. New author for me and I hope to read more of her books.
