2 STARS! ★★

"You are what started this all, and with you, I will finish this forever."

Wow this was what I was not expecting at all...in a bad way. Honestly after reading the first instalment Snare and thinking it could get better from where it left off, I was left disappointed with what took place for a good major portion of this read. I felt like I just had an 'expectation vs reality' moment right here.

Seize picks up exactly right after the mail-biting cliffy in Snare and things start to escalate for Sebastian & Lilith as they try to escape the thwarts of the Genesis group. We got a clearer glimpse now of Sebastian's past and the events leading up to how he ended up getting involved with the Genesis. The same can be said for Lilith and her struggles of being confronted by the reality of the deceptions she'd been a part of all along.

"Sebastian played me right into his hand. He forced me past my boundaries, expecting me to cope with the impossinle, and yet I long to push on."

For 40% of the book, it felt like the book was heading into the direction I expected it to; the secrets unfolding, the unexpected twist and the thrill of escaping from the bad guys. But later the main focus shifted to the emotional battle between our two MCs and a tug-of-war of 'I hate you but I love you' coming from Lilith started to annoy me one too many times. Sebastian also ended up trying too hard to get back Lilith's trust & his constant professing of love made me see him as a weak anti-hero.

And then what really ticked me off was the last portion of the book. Maybe it's just me but it's a pet peeve of mine when a book ends off in this certain manner that seems rushed & tied up nicely. Perhaps it's the author's intention to only reveal the details of it in the next book but personally I felt cheated with that kind of an open ending. Sadly, it left me fuming after putting down this read. Looks like I'll still be awaiting the 3rd book to get my closure.

Again, I don't really consider this to be a heavy dark read because while there are some seriously messed up stuffs going on, the romance is not. Personally, it kinda missed the mark as a dark read for me. However, please don't let my rating discourage you from reading this as it's very likely to be a case of my personal preference. After all, I'm a picky beech when it comes to the dark ones...

Seize is the second volume of the Delirious series and should be read in order with the previous books in the series. Seize ties up the story of Sebastian & Lilith and Book 3: Scorch will be a standalone that will complete the series.

Ahhh, happy memories, I feel an anniversary re-read coming on....

5+++ Stars

This book is so powerful it hurts. The pain experienced by Sebastian and Lillith is tangible and the lust they portray is deliciously wanton. Wow, simply wow. This is Clarissa Wild at her very best!!!

I love Sebastian's character so much but in this book he becomes something else. He is the dark to Lillith's light and the answer to her prayers.

“Trust me …” He briefly sucks on my earlobe. “Do you dare?” ~Sebastian

I can't put into words just how much I loved this book and the series to date. Lillith is still struggling to come to terms with what she has found out since catching up with Sebastian and together they try to find a way to end Genesis once and for all. The twists and turns in this book answer some of the remaining questions we, as readers, have but there is so much depth to the story and Sebastian's own "book" that you feel emotionally drained by the end.

I’m broken, brittle, and afraid. In the face of death, I stood like a coward, ready to beg for my life. I was there, witnessed the end, and then it disappeared like it never truly existed. ~Lillith

Lillith struggles to appreciate the difference between real life and the story she is forced to be part of but together with Sebastian, she pieces together enough to understand why she was chosen to play a part in this sick game that Genesis has created and that Sebastian has written.

This is where I belong. Trapped beneath his arms, encapsulated by his love. I’m home. ~Lillith

This is a dark read and it features abuse and depravity but strangely this aspect to the story is what draws you in especially when you also witness the tenderness of Sebastian's treatment of Lillith. There is a strong D/s theme running throughout this book with elements of BDSM as Sebastian tries to break Lillith down in order to put her together again.

“Give me your fear and I’ll suck it up and spit it out. Give me your anxiety and I’ll break it in pieces. Give me your heart and I’ll cherish it for life.”

I have to say, the mirror scene was probably one of the sexiest scenes I have ever read. It was powerful without being unnecessary erotic but at the same time you could help but feel the heat, everywhere!

His kisses set me on fire; his soft, smooth licks take my breath away. He’s gentle and rough at the same time, staking a claim on my mouth like he never gave me up. Like my mouth was his to begin with. I’m lost in delirium, lost in everything that’s he and I.

So the big question is.... is this the best book I've read in 2014? And the answer is... quite possibly!!!!

Well done Clarissa Wild, as I've said before, this series is quite simply beyond brilliant.

*beta reader*

Book 2 (technically 3) in the Delirious series brings you Lillith and Sebastians continued struggle against Genesis and their evil ways. Though Lillith grows a pair half way through SEIZE she still has that air of frightenedness about her, along with her fighting her feelings against her own morales.

I was excited to get my hands on this, am not going to lie. I love the series. SEIZE had my heart pumping, and me sitting on the edge of my seat in pure anticipation.. I'm sure I bounced around and shouted a few times while reading this, also. I love the characters and can picture everything they do as if I were there. The writing style is superb and mega praise once again for Clarissa.

*contains violence and sexual scenes some readers may find offensive. This is a dark romance story, so read with an open mind. This is aimed at mature adults over 18 and have at strong stomach ;)

5 WTF stars!!

Clarissa no escribe corazoncitos, y arco iris, nop.

So I won an ARC of this precious jewel and I can’t tell you how happy I am.

If I could give this book Bazillion stars I would but 5 will have to do.

When I finished Snare, I was confused about Sebastian. It was a love/hate relationship. Sebastian is twisted, dark, a controlling kinky man but also incredibly soft. In Seize it became clearer to me that I LOVE Sebastian.
We get to know a lot more of his past and his motives , a lot more of what he does for the group he’s in and how he felt through all of it.
Lillith, well Lillith is much stronger now and blossomed through every horrible thing she ever went through. She faced so much hurt and made me cry but I loved how her character developed. My senses were on high alert and it kept me on the egde and each time I was amazed and completely into every scene like I was there.
Sebastian and Lillith are one hell of a complicated couple but all you can do at the end is love them.

I love this series and I wish it never comes to an end ( that’s how much I love it). I can’t wait to read more of this intriguing couple and learn more about them, especially Sebastian, whom now is my obsession.

Wow! I loved the way it was written & the plot was insane! This book had so many twisted and hot as hell plot twists, my heart is still racing! I liked Lillith's drive to find her friend and loved Sebastian's sex drive! :) my eyes were glued to the pages when they f#%ked. And i mean glued! It was beyond sexy as hell! Even though Sebastian has a weird kink with cutting Lillith and licking her blood, it was still hot. When he fell in love with Lillith, and kept telling her how much he loves her, it was so romantic. I laughed, cringed and smiled every time their personalities collided. I even got my happy ending. Im so glad it didnt end with a cliffhanger. I cant wait for book 3! :) I am in love with this series! 5 Twisted-&-Romantic-As-Fuck-Stars! ☆☆☆☆☆+

Sebastian, perdonami!

Sorry :(

I know you think that your ready for this installment, especially if you have read "SEEK" & "SNARE." So did I. There is no way to prepare for all that happens within these pages! It is non stop, mind bending, diabolical dark, and, evil all the way through to the end. No Wait! It doesn't even end, it just kind of stops.... So get comfy because your not going to be able to put this down....Right off the bat, Sebastian takes a bullet to the shoulder that was meant for Lillith. and she is running through the woods now, in the dark, being hunted by the Genesis group, when Sebastian catches up to her, but Lewis is close and calling his name. They push their way through the forest, and it's midnight before they reach the road. Sebastian gets out his phone and says, "we're here," and out of nowhere a car is racing toward them. they get in there is quite a scene between them, she is pulling the car apart, he pulls a knife and in the end they are both bleeding! The nightmare has begun.......Lillith says, "Tell me. Tell me everything" Sebastian knows it's time to come clean...he says,...."You want to know? I'll tell you. I'll tell you all about my fucked up life. But know this: from now on, you are mine. Forever. No freedom. No way out. This is it. You want to know my dirty secrets? Fine. You'll become a part of them."........So we get to see what makes Sebastian the man, (or monster) he is today. It becomes all about power, money and self-worth. There is no such thing as love: only people with desires and how they fulfill them. He built his empire from the ground up until he had the biggest curated library in the state. His life better, he is stronger, smarter, cleaner, impervious. But nothing prepared him for what was to come...... Four men walked into his library, their auras were like poison, they knew his secret and they wanted him to work for them.........he started out as just a pawn that they used until the wretched Hubert forces him to take part in their "games" as they call it...It turns out that he is capable of much worse than he could ever imagine. Their reach goes far and their power is absolute...... It is true that absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's totally mind bending to imagine some group as evil as this having so much power that they can use, abuse or kill anyone that happens to stumble across their radar. Such was the case for Lillith's family and best friend Ashley....He tells her about the books, how they use them, and the code they go by, and how it's all gotten out of control. Now they are bored, so their excitement comes in the form of perversion....He did everything he could to keep Lillith away from them. He can't change the past, but he will change the future for his little fairy. He knew the moment they realized she escaped he was bound to lose her someday, either by choice or force. She opened his eyes, made him believe he could stop them. She gave him the spark he needed to fight it all, gave him the hope that he could someday turn this all around and make them pay when the time comes.
As for Lillith, she says, words that hard to swallow.." I want to hate you, so badly. You're so wrong, what you let those men do to us....ugh...disgusting, you broke me. What you told me, it sickens me. I should be scared of you. I should want to run and never come back." But she loves him. Denying it is impossible. She's fallen for her captor, body & soul. He has stolen her heart a long time ago. So....Together they go to a different city, always on the run. They have to be invisible to survive.
Sebastian does give Lillith her freedom. He made the group believe she is dead...He leaves her with the promise that he will not come back with out Ashley or she can shoot him. Lillith moves on, builds a new life, goes to school, and has a new career by the time Sebastian shows up 5 months later..... Ashley is not with him....So, Will Lillith shoot him?....What became of Arthur, Hubert, Lewis, & Patrick?......And finally,...Where is Ashley? Did he at least find her? Is she alive or dead? ....I swear!!!!....I am going to need an institution before the answers are revealed in "SCORCH" ...This series truly lives up to it's name! Come and get DELERIOUS with us!
Contains violence and sexual scenes some readers may find offensive. This is a dark romance story, I recommend to mature adults 18+ and have a strong stomach.

Phew...Wow. Okay. This is the 2nd -well, actually 3rd installment if you consider Seek (the prequel)-in the Delirious Series by Clarissa Wild.
This book was everything that I was expecting if not more. It was dark, dangerous, passionate and confusing as hell! (in a good way, of course)

 photo SEEKad1_zps297eec21.jpg

Our two main characters, Lilith & Sebastian gave us one hell of a ride this time! The story picks up from that nail-biting cliffhanger and things escalate quickly for our unlikely couple. Secrets unfold and darkness is all consuming.
The thing I love most this time, is that we get to know our characters quite well. We get Sebastian's full background story and the reasons why he is involved in the things that he is. We also find out that he is indeed quite dark and dangerous, but like Lilith I was drawn to him. His history is quite revealing and explains why he is the way he is.
Lilith, well she finally realizes the lies around her and finally comes to see quite enlightening and frightening truths. She also does a few reckless things but she has reason after everything she's been through.

The story is dark, really dark and the sex scenes even darker, but did I love it?

 photo tumblr_n1s9udHZHD1s9qyxio1_500_zpsqc1q9ivp.gif

Yes, I sure did.

The writing was superb and the transitions back and forth very clear and not confusing at all. The author has weaved a tale of lies, deception and darkness and I am curious how the story will develop in the next book.

Overall, I loved it!
5 Dark Stars from me. I recommend it to every fan of the dark side.

To me, this quote really sums up what Seize is about:

"It's the things we don't understand that excite us. The unobtainable that we seek. The hunt is what drives us, the need to ensnare our opposite and learn. Intrigued by differences, the desire to capture that which makes us unique is what seizes control of our hearts. We want each other's qualities and despise each other's weaknesses. We collide and attract. Yin and Yang."

Sebastian and Lillith's story continues in Seize, and Good Lord Almighty, what a story it is! We get to learn more about Sebastian's past and what makes him the man he is. And let me tell you....this man did not have a happy childhood. The Genesis Group really pissed me off, exploiting and blackmailing Sebastian. My heart broke for him. But in all seriousness, Sebastian is a totally fucked up man. I love him and I hate him. So in the end, I guess I am in the same predicament as Lillith. How can you love someone who inflicts so much pain, but yet can be kind and caring?
"Denying it is impossible - I've fallen for my captor. And from the way he kisses me, licks my skin, loves my very soul, I somehow know that I am in good hands. Whatever fucked-up love we have, it's still what I need."

"Confusion has taken over my soul. I'm torn between the feelings I have for Sebastian and my repulsion for what he has done. In my mind, thoughts rage about my anger and the desire for retribution grows stronger every day."

This series is so twisted, so dark and so emotional. It's a story I love and a story I hate. In the end though, this is an outstanding story that brought out so many emotions within me and took me to such a dark and tormented place I never dreamed of going. I simply can't wait for the third and final installment of this epic love story...I know it's going to be good!

Ending felt a bit rushed, I would have liked to the author to dive in more on how Sebastian was able to take down Genesis, also he completely did a 360 on personality he went from wanting Lilith to hate him to professing his love for her at every page it got tedious to read him go on on and on he was almost like a simp and I don’t know how I feel about that, the plot was too focused on Lilith’s love hate for Sebastian, in fact I’d go as far as saying that was the only thing the second book was about, Sebastian desperately trying to get Lilith to love him.

Just as intriguing as book 1 and it's prequel, although I can't help feeling like Lillith got cheaper out of the revenge that she deserved. That being said I still enjoyed every page of this but I'm definitely ready to learn about Ashleigh's story in Scorch.

"You want to know? I'll tell you. I'll tell you all about my fucked up life. But know this - from now on you are mine. Forever. No freedom. No way out. This is it. You want to know my dirty secrets? Fine. You'll become part of them."

And so he tells her and she becomes inexplicably his...although not without a fight. This is part two, technically three if you include the prequel novella, in this mind fuck of a series. Strip the story back to just Sebastian and Lilith's relationship and essentially it's a story of a Dom and his Sub, a sub that was unaware that was her darkest desire, to surrender and be totally controlled. The passion between them involves pain and pleasure, total control and pushing boundaries. This adds a twisted erotic element to the story and don't get me wrong it is a big part of their story but for me I was totally drawn in by Genesis.

Genesis, four obscenely wealthy and powerful men believing they stand at the right hand of God, controlling and shaping the fate of mankind. They are bored and toy with people as if they are nothing more than disposable amusements. Plotting, hunting, raping, abusing and murdering people as is their whim. These men have grown bored of their playground and fantasises and are now re enacting books, taking scenes that involve pain, humiliation and torture, sex and violence and living them with unwilling hapless participants. We learn of Sebastian's past and what lead him down this dark road. Yes he too started as a victim in this life but they shaped him, like clay, into a monster. Acting out his chosen books, aiding them with whatever they desire...that is until he meets Lilith. From the moment he sets eyes on her, she is the one he wants to be able to save.

The plot is fast paced and the revelations keep coming thick and fast. The mental institutions are nothing more than holding pens for the people Genesis have played with. The doctors, nurses all fake...this breaks Lilith down, makes her realise how debased and used she has become. It also highlights just how far the reach of Genenis is.

This is another white knuckle ride of a book and I loved every page. Sebastian and Lilith are drawn towards each other like a moth to a flame their relationship destructing and all consuming. He is broken, too scarred to be fixed and Lilith learns her life has been guided by evil for a long time. The things she has endured has made her stronger and yet she gives herself over to the twisted mind of Sebastian willing as she hungers for him.

Four mind bending stars!

Picking up right where Snare left off Sebastian was hunting for Lillith. But when he finds her he does the only thing his heart will allow. Get her the hell out of there away from these men. He even pushes her out of the way and putting himself in the line of fire.

Sebastian knows full well that he is a monster for the things he has taken part in with Genesis. Not that he really had a choice in the matter. From the events of his past with his mother’s passing, to his fight with his father that killed him, Sebastian feels incapable of love. A young boy left to figure things out on his own. He worked hard to be everything his father told him he wasn’t. He was successful until that day those men walked into his business. When he first saw Lillith that night, he knew he had to try and save her from this awful mess of his life. What he didn’t expect was that through the events they are forced to persevere that she would somehow find a way through his walls. Love is not something that Sebastian has any experience with but he sure understands the need he has for the little fairy.

Lillith is on the verge of crazy or so she thinks. She is not sure what is real anymore. She is convinced that she can’t live with her saviour Sebastian. As he helps her to remember that awful night that started everything her need starts to change to anger and hate. The things she knows to be the truth, scare her to death. How can she hate this man but feel that he is the only safety she has. She is such an emotional mess but she doesn’t know where to turn.

I have hated Sebastian as I read but then watching him sacrifice everything he has to make things better for Lillith warms my heart. Poor Lillith is so lost but the emotions that Sebastian can bring out when they are intimate are so strong. I just can’t decide if I feel sorry for her or want to slap her. When there is nowhere to go but up, Lillith takes the steps needed to move forward with her life. Where she finds the strength, I have no idea. Has she finally done it? Wait… he came back for her. OMG where do they go next? What will happen now? I can’t wait for the final book so I can know if they make it through together.

Seize is the next book in the fantastic Delirious series by Clarissa wild.
I was really desperate to get my hands on the next instalment in this series as I love this series and I really wanted to know how the story was going to continue and what else was going to unfold.
After I read the last book I was left confused about Sebastian. He had some many different sides to himself that I wasn't sure what to think about him. I loved him in a weird sort of way as he was really soft and sweet sometimes, but then he would turn and becomes very twisted, dark and extremely controlling. I loved that side of Sebastian to but his whole personality and behaviour still confused me. Luckily in this book we are given a deeper look in to Sebastian's past and more about the group and what he has thought all along. These insights really gave me a better understanding of his personality and somethings started to fall in to place.
Lilith is still struggling in this book, but she is getting stronger and really trying to come to terms with everything with and about Sebastian. She is really struggling to tell the difference between real life and the sick game, but I loved that she was finally coming out of herself and becoming so much stronger than she has been so far in the story. I can't wait for the next book to see how she is coping and if she is still getting stronger and stronger.
This book isn't disappoint at all and is very fast becoming one of my series favourite 2014. I loved how dark and twisted it was but also very original. The story Is very confusing in parts but it never put my off reading it as i was totally gripped by the characters and the basis of the story that i knew being slightly confused was how i was meant to feel. I knew we would be given the answers at some point that would finally make everything clear. Some of the answers were in this book, but I'm sure we will get every answer by the end of the series.
I felt completely drained after finishing this book. It was so intense and the story keeps you in the edge of your seat that its exhausting. Clarissa defiantly created one hell of a series and I can't wait until the next book is out to finally get all the answers and no doubt be left totally drained but satisfied.

Attempting not to spoil but I could go on and on about this story and how it has built up and started playing out !! This is just one of those series where one word or phrase in the story can make you stop and think OH SH** and then BOOM your mind is blown !! As much as the 1st 2 parts had me thinking and going crazy this was almost worse because you finally get some of those missing answers you were looking for and you just won't believe what they are !! I enjoyed getting the back story of how Sebastian came to be who he is and why he is mixed up with the Genesis group. He may be a pretty sick and twisted guy but there is more to him than this and he really has changed into this person as a means to survive. Yes he may enjoy some of what he does but saving Lilith becomes top priority and we find out the depths of his feelings for her. The amount of truth Lilith has thrown at her proves to be too much and she is in a tailspin. She loves him , hates him , wants to kill and is turning into someone she never thought she would be. There are more than a few twists and turns but for me I am unsure which was worse , the truths from Sebastian or the truths from the Genesis group. Some CRAZY A$$ SH** comes up !! At one point Lilith questions whether it is all just a dream , maybe she really is crazy in the loony bin , honestly I can say for myself when she says it I had to stop for a minute and think HOLY WOW maybe she is right LOL but being that we have dual POV and we get Sebastian's side of the story it has to be real ?? RIGHT ?? After much back and forth and punishing and sex we have a gap of time they are apart and although Lilith tries to move on she cannot seem to. What is Sebastian doing during these months and will we ever find out ?? At the end it almost seemed to wrap up in a nice twisted bow , but of course there was that one last dig !! Ashley , what has happened to her and when will we find out ???? This story may be severely twisted but I just love the flow of it and the way it makes you feel so drawn in. You really have to read the series in order and keep an open mind. I am so intrigued by what these guys do , I don't enjoy violence but the idea of the stories and the way things are set up makes you wonder...

I love this series. It’s dark, dangerous, but still have romance and is steamy. Lilith is still trying to figure everything out. Everything in her screams that she should trust Sebastian even though she knows he isn’t telling her everything. While her brain screams to run and that she shouldn’t like the things he does to her. Sebastian didn’t want to become the man he has, seeing Lilith the first time has awoken something in him. He wants to stop the men and be the man she needs. Lilith wants to find out why her. What drew those men to her and her mother? Why is Sebastian set on saving her, what makes her different from the others? What does she feel for him? I can’t say enough about this book or this series so far. I just love it so much. Sebastian is an amazing character. He is strong and determined. Once he makes up his mind nothing will change it. He doesn’t completely understand what he feels for Lilith at first. He just knows that there is something about her that calls to him. He will do anything in his power to keep her from them and to prove to her that she can trust him. Lilith’s character is amazing too but in a different way. Even after everything she has been through she refuses to crumble. She is amazingly strong and resilient. She is determined to figure everything out and save her friend Ashley. She is conflicted. She truly loves what Sebastian does to her but she thinks she shouldn’t. He hits her and does all kinds of things to her. He debases her, takes away her freedom. But, is he really hurting her or is he helping her? Just because it isn’t what everyone does, doesn’t mean that it isn’t what she really needs. He helps her let go so that she can truly be free. I think they are perfect for each other. Reading their story is amazing. So many emotions and they go through so much. Will they get their happy ending? I can’t wait to read Scorch. Another FANTASTIC book Clarrisa.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Seize is somehow both everything I thought it would be and nothing I could have imagined. Lillith and Sebastian’s journey continues from where it left off at the end of Snare and Clarissa Wild takes us deeper into the darkness that is this twisted story. In Seize, everything unravels and the truth finally comes into focus, but this story is so layered, so complex, that my head is still spinning from the revelations in this book. Both Lillith and Sebastian prove themselves to be incredibly complicated in this novel. Clarissa unveils their pasts, giving them more dimension and depth. As I read about Sebastian’s history and found the answers as to how all of this came to be, I was heartbroken and angry for Sebastian. My connection to him grew and I began to see his actions in a whole new light. Lillith was much the same but in the opposite way. As Clarissa wrote Lillith’s strength, her innate fierceness began to shine, giving me more reason to like and respect her. I found myself more invested in her future and in the justice she and Ashley deserved to deliver.

The truth behind what happened to Lillith and Ashley is far more complicated than I could have ever surmised. Clarissa Wild has once again, blown me away with her storyline, pacing, and plot progression. Each and every detail of this story has been twisted and put into place with such forethought and care as to allow the reader to be completely overwhelmed when everything falls apart. Clarissa builds both the suspense and the heat to maximum capacity until your mind is absolutely ready to explode. I loved the resolution we see in this book, it isn’t neat or pretty but it’s raw and feels genuine to the story and characters. We’re left with plenty of the unknown to consider in the next book and I can’t wait to see how this story comes full circle. With Seize, Clarissa Wild has written another heart pounding, enthralling, and haunting novel.

This book was unbelievable, it was packed full of drama, suspense, pain, hate, sex, and love. We got to learn so much about Sebastian, his past, his family, the loss of his freedom, and his hope for redemption. I love Sebastian, yes it is difficult at times but after this book it is not a struggle anymore. The things he had to go through, then what they make him do, how he was always trying to figure out a way to be free, it breaks my heart and now he is this man that is both a part of his old self and a bigger part affected and changed by what he has been made to do. I will say that I loved the stronger version of Lillith that we get to see later in this book, she does some things that I am sure she never thought she would do, but she is in survival mode. How the author writes the sex scenes in this book, the times it is just him and Lillith are so beautiful, sensual, you can feel his true love for her and how he can't live without her. So many secrets are revealed in this book, so many answers to questions we have all had, and some shockers that is for sure. There were so many times in this book that I thought it was over for one or both of them, that is what is so good about this series it isn't just filled with sex, it has a storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I feel for Lillith, she doesn't know what to do, what to believe, everytime she thinks she understands what happened something shows her differently then when she finally decides to take the risk she is heartbroken. At first I was so happy when the ending came but strangely now I am even more on edge not knowing what the last comment about Ashley meant and what does this mean for their future.... This series consist of Seek, Snare, Seize, and then the last book named Scorch not out yet, pick up this series it is an emotional roller coaster ride that is difficult to read at times but worth it.

Seize, book 2 and the continuation of Lillith and Sebastian's story.
Still at full speed, still with all the secrets, and craziness. It's still mega confusing, and really hot. But the story itself is still so clever, I find myself in shock at how it all unravels and progresses. It really was such a clever idea.

Although to think about it seriously, the background story about Genesis is incredibly scary and possibly even true somewhere in the world, and it's pretty awful too. It still struck me as incredibly clever, and I love how much detail went in to the planning and background of this whole world. Seriously genius.

The sex and heat is off the charts again, and makes it all the more an addictive read. Sebastian and Lillith have so much chemistry, and their moments together are always hot, but edgy, because of the story and what is going on, so it makes it all the more intense.

The end of this story was good, and I was happy with how it ended, for all the pain and confusion, poor Lillith is put through, I felt happy with how her story ended, and felt satisfied when it finished.
Plus still stupidly satisfied with the bigger picture of the whole of this series. I know I keep repeating myself, but it's just so sharp and unique.

The writing of course really stuck out as being such a strong point in this book, and series. To have a clever story and big picture, and then throw it all up in the air, and let the pieces fall all over the place, really messes with your mind, but in such a good way. I love to try and work things out for myself, and see if I have it right, and I was completely wrong in this book. It was just far too clever for me. :)

Definitely recommended for dark suspense lovers.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for MNP.

Sebastian needs Lilith, but he must get her to submit. When she puts them both in harm’s way he must figure out how he can keep her to himself and out of the hands of the Genesis men. Sebastian knows that he is in love with her, she doesn’t love him. Little does she know that he wants her forever. Together they must figure out a way to stay together in secret and stay alive or die trying.

This book picked up where it left off in Snare. It was nice to get more insight to why Sebastian is the way he is. Sebastian has never known love, he’s only know hate. Lilith has shown him the light and he is now addicted to it. Lilith has decided that she will get even with the Genesis men. She has a constant struggle with herself about whether she should love Sebastian or hate him. Lilith is forced to grow up in this book. She has to give up everything to be what Sebastian needs. Sebastian wants his life back and Lilith, but he is going to have to figure out a way to do both. This is one of those books that will get your heart racing, waiting for the next event to happen. I love how easily Clarissa went between past and present without skipping a beat. She has kept the story moving. I cannot wait until book 3 comes out. This will help to answer any questions that might be hanging out there. Lindsey, Reviewer for MNP.

As with the other two previous books, I issue a warning that if you are easily disturbed by very graphic violence and disturbing situations, then this book is not for you. For the rest of us, this is a wonderful follow-up to Snare.

Wow, as if this series wasn't already intense, nerve wracking and terrifying to begin with, it only gets better. So don't drink that cup of coffee before you read this because the book will get your heart pounding even more. Clarissa again focuses on the main characters of Lillith and Sebastian with the additional characters of the group of 4 as I like to call them. The group of 4 men that Clarissa has created makes one shiver from terror, as they are some of the most sordid and repulsive characters I have read. Clarissa did an awesome job in the development of these characters. I could feel the lack of empathy and their depravity just leaping out off the pages.

This book ended on a cliffhanger. Because I wondered where the story was going to go I actually went back and reread the whole thing right after the first time. Clarissa I am learning is a little mastermind in leaving little integral pieces of information all over the first three books linking them all together. Trying to figure out where that devious mind of hers is going to lead us is yet unknown, but I am so looking forward to see where that is. So I will try and wait patiently until the next installment - Scorch.

"This choice between retribution and love was never a choice, but an inner struggle of acceptance."
All the questions you had with Seek and Snare all come to a head and it will "seize" your thoughts. Good gravy the crap that this group of men are up to out of boredom from being too rich is disturbing and mind bending. Just when you think Sebastian is the sick one for all of his lies and torturous nature, you learn the inner workings of the Genesis group. I loved the flashbacks to Sebastian's notes giving you a peek into his thoughts along the way while he was living out the sick fantasies of the Genesis group while falling for his latest assignment.

"The biggest regret, heart-shattering sorrow, and bitterest anger still don't measure up to the love I feel".

Sebastian knows there is no escaping these men and the destruction they can inflict. If you have read the series, you know just how Sebastian tries to convince Lillith of anything. I loved the wrap up of this story, but there is still a one piece left that is missing...Ashley. I cannot wait to read Ashley's story in Scorch!

"Desire...seizes control of our hearts"

“It’s the things we don’t understand that excite us. The unobtainable that we seek. The hunt is what drives us, the need to ensnare our opposite and learn. Intrigued by differences, the desire to capture that which makes us unique is what seizes control of our hearts. We want each other’s qualities and despise each other’s weaknesses. We collide and attract. Yin and Yang.”
The quote above is from conversation between Lillith and Sebastian. He is trying to help them both make sense of the love that is blossoming between them while involved in some crazy dark situations.
The book is filled with suspense as our hero/antihero sets in motion his plan to destroy the perverse enemies whose company he used to keep.
The intimate scenes between Lillith and Sebastian tend to be dark but also revelatory and ...if you will...exciting.
Reading this second book, I still notice just how wonderfully descriptive the writing is. The subject matter and themes are dark but it makes the redemptive power of love and light all the more pure and sweet. "It's always darkest before the dawn." Cannot wait to read book number three. Do yourself a favor; indulge in this series. So far, for me, it has been an emotional, psychological, philosophical and physical treat.

Finally !!!!!

I didn't leave a written review for seek, why? I was highly pissed, here I bought and read the prequel and bought and read book 1 and was still confused beyond belief... I mean from a book and a half 4?? Pages you would think we would have had some answers.. nope I was so confused, who was he? What was he? All these questions swarming around gave me a migraine, then I get to book two, finally some answers.. but now I'm mad because I have to wait till the end of March to get the final story, I'm happy with how this book ended but I'm not in the fact I have more questions which need more answers, oh how I wish I didn't have to wait so long... but if your like me and was mad about book 1.. you will be happy with this book, I could'll dent put it down, I actually finished it within a few hours of starting it.. it's worth the read, don't let the first one deter you from reading it, you will have answers to those questions... I gave the first one a 4 star rating because of the migraine this one gets five stars because of the answers and mind blowing creativity... liked a lot :)

Once Sebastian realizes Lillith is not going to stop with trying to find the answers to her questions and she puts herself in more danger, he has no other choice but to take her and keep her safe. He has to break her. He knows he will lose her once he is done. He has no other choice, to keep her safe, he has to make her hate him. When the walls crash down, Sebastian knows he has fallen for her and she him but the other members are onto him and his secret of hiding her away. They will destroy them both to keep their secret from ever being revealed. Clarissa does it again and even better with this book. You can feel the struggle between good and evil. Sebastian knows he is close to losing this battle, he doesn't think he deserves Lillith's love. He also knows he will do anything to keep her safe, even if it means he has to make her hate him. I can't wait for more. I give this 4.5 stars.
