Why haven't I heard about these books before now?? I have been missing out for sure. This book was HOT, nothing says sexy like a couple of bi-sexual cowboys!
Basically all these dudes at Boot Knockers are glorified prostitutes, ya ya, dress it up in the guise of "helping" women, but they are still getting paid to have sex with women. If it walks like a duck, and talks like a....well you get the picture. In addition, I guess when things get boring, they all do each other also. Hey I'm ALL for equal equality loving! *lol*
Basically in this one we have a heroine that can't orgasm, and we have two hot cowboys that play Brokeback Mountain in their free time.
There's attraction, there's pushing away, there's angst, and hot sexy times, and I really enjoyed every minute of it! I'll be sallying forth to the next book in this series with a smile on my face, and an image of hot humping cowboys in my mind!

Spoiler Ahead This was a hot book and I would love to book a week at the ranch. This was the first book in "The Boot Knockers" series. Sybill comes to the ranch because she has a sexual dysfunction or so she thinks she is unable to achieve an orgasm. Hugh is master of games at the ranch and he planned to sit out this week until he takes one look at Sybill and he pulls rank he has to have her. Riggs is another boot knocker step aside when Hugh claims Sybill although he is not happy about Riggs wants Hugh to look at him the way he looks at Sybill Riggs is in love with Hugh who doesn't want to face it. This was a really good book with a look of kinky things going on in it. But the book moved a little fast we get to rea a little about each backstory but I felt that it wasn't enough. When takes things sexual with Sybill she doesn't have an orgasm and it frustrates both Sybill and Hugh so he turns Riggs to find some relieve for himself. As Sybill and Hugh get to know one another she tells him that she wants a threesome and she wants it with Riggs. When things begin to heat up between the three of them Sybill finds her orgasm multiple times, but she is also losing her heart to both men at the same time. I have read this authors work before so I knew that this book would be well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is labeled as a ménage read.
It is my personal opinion that the two male characters played a much more significant role in the storyline and it was the female who provided an "acceptable" means for them to be together. So for me it was really a m/m with some ménage female tossed in. I realize that this is not what the author's vision was but that is how I read it. Personally I never felt a real connection with any of the lead characters in the story hence the two star rating.

Oh my! Send me to this ranch please? When I started this book, I knew it wouldn't be anything but hottt but, boy, having a whole host of cowboys just waiting to please all these women... it's enough to keep you warm on a cold night that's for sure. Boot Knockers ranch specialises in helping women. And Sybill needs help. She can't achieve orgasm. I suspect many women can sympathise with this. So what she needs is a hot, dedicated cowboy to help her find the big 'O'. Now lucky Sybill ends up with two men fighting for her--in spite of some strict rules about which men are intended for which women--but the big boss, Hugh, gets the girl.
Unfortunately not is all plain sailing for the sexy cowboy and he struggles with helping Sybill, even though she is insanely hot for the man. Enter Hugh's competition--and sometimes lover--Riggs. It seems that maybe these two can help Sybill after all, much to Hugh's annoyance. He wants Sybill for himself.
I loved the different personalities. Hugh is a bit battered and bruised inside. He knows Sybill is special when she 'heart throbs' him and he can't get enough of her but they both fight to remember this is just a job. He also won't accept his feelings for Riggs. Riggs is the more sensitive and open of the pair, balancing things out but also throwing Hugh off balance sometimes.
However--and this surprised me--Sybill turned out to be my favourite. She seemed she could be a control freak. She *thought* too much and that always got in the way. God, I can sympathise with not being able to turn off my brain. But once she started...erm... enjoying both cowboys' attentions, the true side of her came out. The spontaneous, fun, sexy side and she's a blast and a sweetheart. My heart truly broke for her when it looked like things just weren't going to work for her.
What you're getting here won't surprise you if you're a fan of Ms. Petrova. Well rounded, balanced characters, flaming hot scenes, great dialogue and a nice touch of humour. If you haven't read any of Ms Petrova's work and you love cowboys and sex (who doesn't?)that's also guaranteed to please any romantic, you should check it out!

I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here it is. Sibyll goes to the Boot Knockers Ranch in Texas to get some help. A week of trying to find the big O. She has never had an orgasm, she thinks it is broken. But when she gets there and sees the sexy, hunky cowboys, she thinks that the big O is right around the corner. When Hugh and Riggs fight for her, she is so excited. But after two nights with Hugh and still nothing. She gets to the edge but never flies. So what will Hugh do to help her? All the while feelings are beginning to surface. Turns out that her ultimate fantasy is a threesome. And Riggs is all too happy to join in but Hugh is not so much, he doesn't want to share Sibyll. Will Hugh or Riggs step aside and let the other spend the last two days with her? This is a very HOT, steamy, sexy story with stubborn cowboys and a heroine that will learn what she wants and needs is the same thing. This is a first for me by Em Petrova and I loved it and can't wait for more of this series.

At Boot Knockers cowboys are assigned to different women based on their ability to help them. As soon as Hugh spots Sybill, he decides he needs to be with her. But he has competition from Riggs who also happens to be in love with Hugh. Hugh calls on Riggs to help Sybill when he realizes she needs more than he alone can give her.
I really wished someplace like this existed because if it did well then sign me up please. And how lucky is Sybill to have two cowboys vying for her attention. Once Sybill got out of her head, she was able to open up and fully be in the moment.
This is the first book I've read by Em Petrova but definitely will not be my last. I read this in one sitting. And let me tell you that not only do you get hot sex scenes but you also get a fun, sweet, romantic story to go along with it. I really enjoyed it.

I instantly wanted to read this book after reading the blurb. Who can pass up on Cowboys and sex? Not this girl! This was a well written book and the sex was off the charts. It was a one sitting read for me and I loved the ending. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Characters: The characters were well written and you couldn’t help but feel their emotions and at times I felt like I was right there in the room with them. Heck, I wish I WAS there! The chemistry between Hugh and Sybill is amazing but with Hugh and Riggs it was electric!
Sex: holy hotness, the sex was outstanding. You had M/M, M/F and M/F/M who could ask for more? SO HOT!!!

I loved this book. I am a romantic at heart and when three people get their chance at love, it is even hotter! Sybill's thoughts as she is trying to enjoy herself at the beginning of the book are wonderfully written, and resonate through a good part of the story. This cleverly sets up many of the misunderstandings that give us the drama we readers crave! The caring alpha male quotient is definitely high in this story. Perfect escapism and highly enjoyable.
I look forward to the next in the series - as there were plenty of cowboy boot knockers in need of love at that ranch.

I count on Em Petrova for well-written smut and she came through in Pushin' Buttons. No shortage of sexual tension and creative interludes, plus plenty of feels and the right amount of character development. Special kudos for a romance in the "she's never had an orgasm" trope in which the hero fails - at first - to provide satisfaction.

Sybill goes to the Boot Knockers Ranch to solve a little problem with her O button but get's a lot more than she bargained for.
I loved the menage relationship that formed in this book. Hugh, Riggs, and Sybill are perfect for each other in different ways and complement each other like nothing they could have expected. The only problem I had was Hugh's hang-ups. Really dude? It got to a point that I wanted to knock some sense into him because it was just too much. Luckily things got solved pretty well by the end of the story.
The plot of the story was center around character development and that was done fantastically. Each one of the main characters had his or her chance to grow, evolve and reach a point where things could only go well for them together. I'm really happy that Em Petrova wrote this book in the way she did.
A Ranch where cowboys get down to make every woman there happy is a great idea for a romance series. I think the Boot Knockers is the only one I can name from the top of my head at the moment but I'm sure there are others out there. That being said, Em Petrova and this series are going to be my favorite for all times.
I would totally recommend this book if you want to read a romance with cowboys, horses, and steam coming out of your ears *wink*

I was so confused. Cowboy 1 wants cowboy 2. Cowboy 2 breaks the rules to get the girl. Then the girl also wants cowboy 1. But then there's a cowboy from the past that cowboy 2 keeps thinking about. She wasn't kidding when she said she couldn't orgasm, it took a lot for her to get there way more than I'm used to. It all works out in the end, but my head was spinning.

This was quite good at balancing taking the time needed to develop a solid relationship and rushing along to the good parts. Personally, I wasn't a fan of Hugh but he's not objectively problematic. And if you like men who take charge (which I absolutely don't), you'll like him just fine.

Just loved the concept of a bunch of cowboy's fighting over a bunch of women to have sex with them .Too funny.Although this is a working ranch that sells horses this Ranch specializes in helping women.Everyone of the cowboys plays a part.There main goal is to have there women leaving happy and feel good about themselves again and give them anything that they want while they are there.The men are at there beck and call.YEAH!

And I just loved how she came to care for her two cowboy's so quickly they just all fit together.There relationship just worked and when things come to the end my heart broke a bit for her as there seemed to be no happy ending for her. I just loved it and we are giving it 5 stars.Em is a fairly new author for me and I am just loving her books.This was one great fun read and I am looking forward to reading some of Em's other titles in this continuing series.

Niiiiiiiice! Talk about some hot cowboy lovin’, Ms. Petrova certainly knows her way around a ménage scene, or two, or three. Whew! Sybill may have gone to the Boot Knockers Ranch having never had an orgasm, but she didn’t leave that way … even if she left with her heart broken. What’s a girl to do when the man of her dreams turns out to be two men – one of whom can’t admit he’s in love with the other man? Oh yeah, you got it, we get bisexual cowboys, hot ménage sex, and romance … face it, you can’t get your heartbroken if there’s no romance involved. All of this adds up to a stellar read that I enjoyed from beginning to end (even if I didn’t want it to end).
The Boot Knockers Ranch hosts 20 women each week as the cowboys use their talents and skills to help the women overcome whatever sexual dysfunction that plagues them – virginity, body image issues, fantasy-fulfillment, failure to orgasm, etc. But don’t mistake the Ranch for a bordello. The ladies are carefully screened and matched by a counselor who knows what each cowboy can do and what skills are needed to help the individual woman. While I find the idea fascinating, I thought the added twist that the cowboys are shareholders in the ranch gives them a vested interest in seeing it succeed and helps to keep it professional and above-board. Although Pushin’ Buttons features Hugh and Riggs, it is clear from scenes involving the other cowboys that the men take their job seriously and treat the women with respect. And, in Hugh and Riggs’ case, love.
Being a founding member of the Boot Knockers Ranch, Hugh is taken aback when he responds so strongly to Sybill. He’s not supposed to be taking part in this week’s treatments, but he cannot NOT throw his hat into the ring for her. So it’s no wonder he falls for her and he falls hard – so hard that he takes it personally when he can’t take over the edge. It’s quite endearing how Hugh beats himself up mentally when he finds his pleasure without giving Sybill hers. Though he doesn’t admit it to himself, his determination to please her is not about his ego, it’s about pleasing his woman. Needless to say, he’s not happy when he learns that Riggs has wormed his way into their bed … he doesn’t want to share Sybill, not even with his lover. When he learns that it is at Sybill’s request (and not Riggs’ machinations), he agrees and Sybill (and the reader) is treated to some lip biting, squirm inducing, panty-drenching sex scenes that show that Sybill isn’t the only one who can ride a cowboy. Yee Haw!
What takes Pushin’ Buttons from a 4-star read to a 5-star read for me is the romance. The author doesn’t just give you some great sex scenes that’ll overheat your Kindle, she also writes one heartbreakingly sweet romance as these three characters come to terms with their love for one another in such a brief time. This is especially difficult for Hugh as he’s had his heartbroken by a man before, which is why he is so hesitant to open himself up to Riggs. Does this trio find happiness? A Fabulicious Toe Curling Read!
Sibyll, the heroine of this novel is one helluva lucky lady! To enable her to overcome her sexual dysfunction, the journey of self-discovery she embarks on at the Boot Knockers ranch hits the spot in a most delightful way. Why settle for one cowboy when two are exactly what you need?
This is the first book I have read by Em Petrova and I could not put it down! It is not only full of sizzling erotic lovemaking scenes, but contains a great deal of humour, emotion and characters I rooted for from the off. Sibyll, the heroine, is woman who, despite lovers in the past (and her own best efforts), has failed to experience orgasm. Naturally she aches to reach the ultimate fulfilment…… I loved that on the surface she seems prim and proper, but in scene after scorching scene, expertly portrayed by the author, her layers of self-doubt are peeled away to reveal her innermost secrets and desires, which belie her outward image!
I ADORED Hugh’s visceral reaction to Sibyll when her first spies her and his decision to be THE cowboy that claims her during her stay at the ranch! The methods he uses to break down her reserve and encourage her to let go and experience pleasure are just divine! - I’m talking passionate scenes which include a little light bondage, anal sex and toys, all set against a backdrop of the rugged Texan landscape.
Hugh is a man blindsided by attraction to Sibyll, yet he is reluctant to commit and adept at keeping an emotional distance, even from the sexy and drop dead gorgeous fellow Boot Knocker Riggs, with whom he already has a burgeoning connection. However, Sibyll has other ideas and so does Riggs! Riggs has wanted to claim Hugh as his own for a long time and is also falling for Sibyll. Their decision to come together to guarantee that Sibyll reaches her ultimate goal not only represents a whole new dynamic for Sibyll, but for them all.

Pushin Buttons is the first book in this series. I will say it felt like a series that was already established since it didn’t talk much about the background of the Boot Knockers Ranch. It almost felt like a spinoff or second book. I would have liked ot know why it was formed, whose Idea, it was mentioned the Cowboys owned and ran it but never said which cowboys or why. I would have liked a bit more detail on that. Also Hugh kept mentioning a first love Travis but we got very little on that.
Having said that, I loved the story. Here is a little about the story.
Hugh is the Master of Games or the leader. He usually only fills in if one of the men needs a break, is off. He also does a few thirds if Riggs needs one. When he sees Sybill he wants her in ways he has never wanted a woman and fights for her. Riggs also wants Sybill though she isn’t his chosen client for the week he too fights for her, not caring if he is breaking the rules. (which there seems to be a lot of rules between the men that I would have liked to know more about) When Hugh wins, that leaves Riggs with no client for the week.
Riggs and Hugh secretly hook up on their down time and have several threesomes with clients. Riggs wants more with Hugh. Hugh has been burned nice and keeps his heart shut off. Will Sybill break those barriers? Will Riggs be left out in the cold? Will Sybill ever be able to orgasm? I’m not telling. You will have to read the book.
It is a character driven story and I absolutely loved all the characters. There were a few cowboys mentioned in short spurts and I hope that means we will be getting stories on them soon. The cowboys give sexual therapy to women with problems. This story is about Sybill, a guest at the ranch. She has come for therapy because she can’t find sexual release and has never had an orgasm. She is a scientist, not a skinny model type on the outside but on the inside she is sexy, fun, and eclectic. I loved that this character is not your average romance beauty. She isn’t perfect, she is very likeable. Hugh is mysterious and sexy and Riggs is just plain hot.
The plot of the story is very sexual since it is a sex therapy ranch. There is a lot of sex and I will say it is extremely steamy and never gets monotonous.
If you like hot cowboys, dude ranches, strong female characters, broken men, broken women, a sweet romance, a sexy ménage, and lots of steamy hot sex, this is definitely for you.

WOW!! This book was the perfect blend of smoking hot sex and make-me-cry romance. It's the first of the Boot Knockers Ranch series, and I'm exhilarated to read the rest of them!
BKR is basically heaven on earth. Seriously. If a place like this existed I would be there in a heartbeat. It's a huge ranch in Texas filled with horses and chickens and barns and hot-as-fuck cowboys whose only goal is to fulfill a woman's sexual needs. Especially women with issues of some kind, such as; low self-esteem, tired of carrying their V card, hurt from past relationships...you name the problem the men at BKR can fix it. It's guaranteed.
Sibyll is 35 years old and has never had an orgasm. While this is sad enough alone, she has had the unfortunate experience that the men she's with make her feel like there's something wrong with her and her self image has plummeted. She goes to the ranch in hopes of experiencing that elusive big O.
Hugh is the 'master of games' at BKR. He doesn't participate with the women so much anymore as he helps organize the ranch activities and care for the horses. That all changed when he saw Sibyll for the first time. He broke all his own rules by snagging her for himself for the week. As soon as he looked at her he felt something new and foreign to him in his heart. It was an immediate attraction.
Riggs is Hugh's best friend and also part time secret lover. He's immediately pained with jealously at the way he sees Hugh looking at Sibyll. To make matters worse, he ALSO feels an attraction to her at first sight.
What follows is a week of sexual discovery that results in emotional barriers being breached, feelings being denied and hearts being broken. They each have to decide if what they feel in such a short time together is real or simply lust. Hugh also needs to figure out if he can open his heart not only to Sibyll, but to Riggs as well. Riggs has been in love with Hugh for a long time but has been afraid to make his feelings known. The only way any of them will be happy is if the three of them can be together as a loving threesome. Watching them reach that point is full of ups and downs but the HEA they reach is worth all the turmoil. Not to mention the sexual chemistry that erupts when the three of them touch.

As usual, Em did a great job with the steamy sexy times. There were also moments of tenderness that highlighted the love story.
Boot Knockers is a ranch that caters to women with sexual issues of any sort - insecurity of body, inability to orgasm, virgins, etc. The women pay for a week long stay, during which one (or more) of the incredible professional men will debauch them thoroughly. The women don't necessarily know that the ranch has matched them up with the perfect guy for the job. They only know that they must parade on a stage until a cowboy "pushes his button." Of course, they put on a show to encourage the ladies.
Sybill, a pharmaceutical company analyst (or something like that), has been unable to reach the Big O. Ever. All of her past boyfriends have placed the blame squarely on her shoulders, making her feel like she's broken. As soon as Hugh sets eyes on her, he knows that he's gotta have her. The issue is that another cowboy, Riggs, wishes Hugh would acknowledge the connection that they have. While Hugh and Sybill work together to figure out her issues, Riggs mopes around until he's finally invited to join them. The ensuing fireworks further complicate things, and Hugh's emotional baggage has him pulling away from the two people that could make him happy.
Obviously, there were sexy times. They were hot. There also was a real connection between the characters. Being open to love is a big step, but you can't find happiness if you'll never let anyone in. *sigh* The ranch is about learning to love and accept yourself - with sexy men doing the convincing (cowboys, at that!).

Sybill has a broken O button, actually can something be broken if it's NEVER worked? She decides to go to the Boot Knockers Ranch in Texas to see if they can help her, after 35 long years, finally get that elusive orgasism.
Hugh is supposed to be off duty this week, but seeing the sexy libriran looking woman with those amazing curves has him breaking all the rules. She's different and he knows it even when he doesn't wanna admit it and she's got him tied in Knots.
Riggs wasn't supposed to pick her but her couldn't resist espically when Hugh unexpiditily went after her too. Even when he doesn't get picked by her there's still something that draws him to her. Then there's his seemingly one sided interest in Hugh and what he wouldn't do to have his true feelings returned.
What was supposed to be one week of giving into passion and learning to let go turns into so much more as these three become entaingled in each other. Sybill is shy at times but when she lets loose to does it with a passion. Hugh is an alpha male who is afraid to admit what he feels. And Riggs is sweet and caring towards everyone and he's the perfect middle to ensure everyones happy, but that doesn't mean he's any less of an alpha male either.
Watching as they each show their strengths and how they are together you see how they each have a part in their happiness and well being as a whole. They each bring something in and complete each other perfectly. I loved seeing their story and how they learned to be together throughout it.

The concept of the ranch was unique, and I loved the premise. If I had a sexual dysfunction, I would want a cowboy to cure me. I really felt Sibyll's pain - both in the "condition" that brought her to the ranch as well as everything she went through while there. I enjoyed watching the love story unfold. Hugh and Riggs are the kind of cowboys very few would be able to resist. (They can't even really resist each other.) When Hugh is having trouble with Sibyll in the beginning, Em made him seem so genuine and real. His emotions and inner turmoil were evident and spot on. As time moves forward, the jealousy and self-deprecation from Hugh hurt my heart and made me love the flawed man even more. Once Sibyll finally climaxes, there is a lot of tension that melts from the characters. The end of the week at the ranch really surprised me as did the way the HEA happened. I can't really say more without spoiling the story.
The emotional struggles of both Sibyll and Hugh were very lifelike and the story wouldn't have been half as good without them.

Can I get some of that?
Why are all the hottest stories some that'll never be reality? All those smoking hot Boot Knockers in one amazing place? I love cowboys, but being able to have one take care of your fantasies is a dream come true, just as Sybil found out in this out of my dreams fantasy. Sybil hasn't ever been able to have her big o moment and has went to the Boot Knockers ranch to get it. After a fight in the beginning over who would be the one to take her, she's still unable to get it and the frustration is building for everyone involved. Holy hotness my panties just melted. This is my first read by Em Petrova but it sure won't be my last. I want a book for each one of these delicious cowboys at the Boot Knocker Ranch. Whew my toes are curling just thinking about it.

Pushin Buttons is the first book by Em Petreva I have read by her. It is about Sibyll, a woman, who has never experienced the big "O". She applies to the Knockin Boots Ranch, where cowboys are expertise on most anything having to do with sex. After, being accepted, she travels from her home in Atlanta to Texas. Waiting to be introduced to the cowboys, she spots two of the most good looking cowboys she has ever met, Riggs and Hugh. Both of these men want her for himself. They begin to argue over who will spent the week with her and Hugh pulls rank and wins. Only after one day Hugh has a big problem on his hands, he cant make it happen for her. No woman has ever left the ranch not satisfied and she will not either. Sibyll begins to drink and has a talk to Riggs. She confesses to him that she would like to have Hugh and Riggs together. Riggs is in love with Hugh. Of course, Hugh has feelings for Riggs but will not allow himself to fall in love. When the week is over both Riggs and Hugh feel a connection to Sibyll. A misunderstandings has her leaving the ranch a day early. Can Riggs and Hugh figure things out or is it to late for all three of them.
