I’ve had my eye on this author for quite some time, and when I spotted the ARC sign-up for their new book, I jumped at the chance! This book is the second installment in a series, but don’t worry—it can be enjoyed as a standalone. The story kicks off ten years ago when Emmett receives an order from his father to kill a man. During this moment, he encounters the man’s 16-year-old daughter, Waverly, and knowing the danger she’s in, he decides to help her escape. Fast forward to the present day, and Waverly is now 26. She's been living in a constant state of fear, struggling to get by, and always on the move. Little does she know, two men have been watching over her from the shadows all this time. Eventually, they decide it’s time to stop lurking and claim her.
Emmett and Kade, our MMCs, are twins with a complex relationship. Their father raised them to be assassins, often setting them against one another. Kade is the more ruthless of the two—cold and skilled—while Emmett has chosen a different path, becoming a pastor instead of following in his father's footsteps. Despite their differences, both brothers share a deep obsession with Waverly.
I loved Waverly's character! She's resilient, strong, and brave, having grown up in a tough environment where she had to rely on herself. Trust doesn’t come easy for her, and she's always on alert, ready to flee. Although she tries to keep Emmett and Kade at arm’s length, they’re determined to show her how much they care and slowly break down her walls. The brothers’ obsession with Waverly knows no bounds. They might not always see eye to eye and their personalities clash, but they’d do anything to keep her safe.
The chemistry between Waverly and the twins is electric. I loved how she values and appreciates each of them, and their scenes— one-on-one and together—are seriously steamy. All in all, this book is fantastic, especially if you’re into dark, stalker romances featuring morally gray characters who will go to great lengths for the woman they love. The suspense added an exciting layer to the story, keeping me engaged until the end.

Those smexy scenes were downright steamy, deliciously wicked, dirty, sinfully hot and depraved and I was there for every minute of it.

Honestly anything this author writes I will absolutely devour without question. I mean when I saw tropes it captured my attention even further. In this book we have an age gap, MFM romance where the MMCs are twin brothers and yes they’re identical which made it a lot more interesting.
Also that dedication at the start, slay💅
The book opens 10 years prior to the events of the present in which our first MMC Emmett is send on a job by his father. This is where he comes face to face with the targets daughter and this is where the obsession begins for him. Rather than letting her fate play out he helps her escape and keeps a close eye on her over the years.
Now our second MMC Kade see witnesses what Emmett does and to say his interest is also piqued about the girl he helped flee would be an understatement, and similar to Emmett he also keeps a close eye on her.
Fast forward to the present, our FMC Waverley is completely unaware that she has captured the attention of two dangerous individuals. Emmett left his families organisation and became a Pastor (forgive me father👀), while Kade remained doing jobs for his father. They both have kept a discrete distance for the last 10 years from Waverley in order to protect her, while also in both of the brothers keeping a distance from one another but also keeping close tabs on where the other was are.
Waverley begins a new job in the scarlet lounge, a club which is owned by Wyatt and Elias who we met in Trust in the Fallen. It is here that Emmett can keep an even closer eye on her and starts to make his advances quite known. Now remember I mentioned that both Emmett and Kade are identical twins? Yeah well Kade decides to portray as Emmett at times to get even closer to the object of his affections and Emmett only realises when Waverley talks to him about times when he knows for certain he was no where near in her proximity. These scenes were quite entertaining if I was honest👏🏼
What I loved about Kade and Emmett was their possessive and protective nature when it came to Waverley. Yes these brothers have been at odds for quite some time but this is one thing they’ll both agree on, as a TVD girlie it definitely gave me Stefan/Damon vibes when it came to Elena only with this book both brothers get the girl.
I loved Waverley, she had her walls built high to protect herself, in which our MMCs did knock down. She is used to providing for herself and having to drop everything and run at the hint of danger but now these two men are giving her a reason to stay and let’s be honest you cannot deny fate and chemistry. The individual scenes and group scenes were absolutely chefs kiss😮💨
Overall I absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait for more in this series. Thank you to the author and the next step PR who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts.

Emmett and Kade are twins with a dark past. They’ve been protecting Waverly for many years and finally a day comes that they both want to claim her. But first they’ll have to inform her she’s been with both of them when she thinks she’s only been with one.
Waverly has never let anyone in because of her past but when not one but two men force their way into her life, she’s almost helpless to resist.
At first, understandably, Waverly is mad about being deceived but these men only want to please her.
And boy do they please her. The smut was smutting.
Emmett is the pleasure Dom and Kade is rougher and darker and together they give Waverly exacts what she wants and needs and in return she gives the submission they crave.
Danger brews though and their pasts come back to try and take them out. They’ll have to work together to get out.
This was a little dark, a whole lotta smutty and just an all around fun read. I loved Emmett and his desire to praise and I loved Kade and his desire to degrade. Waverly was so strong and I enjoyed the way she let herself be vulnerable with her men. Possessive and obsessive twins are my catnip! This ends on a HEA!

A girl on the run, a hitman, and a Pastor walk into a sex club… sounds like the start of a joke, but instead we get an intense romance that had me swooning left and right. I loved everything about Waverly, Emmett, and Kade. And this wasn’t just about a romance, it was also about healing a relationship between two brothers.
This was angsty due to our FMC being on the run and not believing she’s able to hold meaningful relationships. Little does she know, these two twin stalkers have always been following her and protecting her.

At first she’s unsure and she defiantly things about running, but she feels safe with both of them and decides to give both of them a change. After all her friend Leighton has two husbands, so she knows she won’t be judged.

These men are hot and I would let them ruin me.
Move over Father Tyler Bell, there is a new priest in town. We have our priest and ex-hitman Emmett and our biker and hitman Kade. These twin men are obsessive, possessive and unhinged stalkers. They are red flags galore and I eat it up every time.
I absolutely loved the dynamic between Waverly, Emmett and Kade. Waverly was such a great female main character, her chemistry with both men was so electric, I couldn't decide whose scenes I liked her with more! In signature Montana Fyre style, she serves not only swoon worthy, morally grey men, they are completely unhinged and i was living for every moment.
The plot was nicely paced and there were some good twists and turns that kept me in suspense and on the edge of my seat.
I also loved seeing Elias, Wyatt and Leighton. Seeing them again was just *chefs kiss*. I also loved the cheeky little mention of the Syndicate of the Legion.
I highly recommend this book for dark romance lovers!

Waverly was such a great female main character, her chemistry with both men was so electric, I couldn't decide whose scenes I liked her with more! In signature Montana Fyre style, she serves not only swoon worthy, morally grey men, they are completely unhinged and i was living for every moment.
The plot was nicely paced and there were some good twists and turns that kept me in suspense and on the edge of my seat.
I also loved seeing Elias, Wyatt and Leighton. Seeing them again was just *chefs kiss*. I also loved the cheeky little mention of the Syndicate of the Legion.
I highly recommend this book for dark romance lovers!

How does Waverly get not one but TWO stalkers? And they are mother fucking TWINS. One good(ish) and one evil. Luckkkkky biaotch.
This is one of the books where I felt like the stalking was the plot. There was the final showdown at the end, but everything happened quickly. Outside of that it was just two obsessed twin broskies trailing their girl. TEN years y’all, talk about dedication.
The fact that both brothers started off as assassins and only one turned to a more respectful ummm let’s call it a journey, made for an interesting good vs evil balance.
Pastor Emmett may have seen and saved Waverly first, but that didn’t stop evil twin Kade from bulldozing his way in to partake in the relationship. Three is most definitely not a crowd in this scenario.
Forgive me father for I have sinned because this book made me feral.

I think I feel more in love with the works of Montana Fyre with this book. Emmett dad sends him on a mission to eliminate one person and make sure his daughter is there for collection later. When he gets caught by the daughter he helps and it changes the course of his life. 10 years later Waverly, Emmett and Kade journey finally starts to come from the shadows to the light. When I say Kade had a dirty mouth that had me needing a cold show. The twin knew they want Waverly and were going to do anything to have her and keep her safe. This book was so good I couldn’t put it down. I cant wait for more in this world.

Montana Fyre you absolutely outdid yourself with this one! Loved this deliciously spicy and suspenseful MFM romance!
Waverley is an incredibly resilient, determined, and brave girl. She has been on the runs for ten years after the murder of her father. During that time she acquired to invested stalkers, brothers Emmett and Kade. While yes, Emmett and Kade are twins they could not be more different - an angel and a devil. Both have dark tendencies and love for the same woman, and both going as far as stalking and protecting her over the years.
The tension, chemistry, and banter between these three was astounding! I loved the way Waverley appreciated and saw value in each of her men. The bond she had with each guy and then all together was incredible. Loved the dominance of the two guys, and the ways they cared for Waverley, let me just say not only swoonworthy, but blush worthy as well.

I heard Stalker Romance, MFM, and Twins, and that's all i needed to know to jump into this book, and wow, didn't i demolish this spicy little number.
Montana is hands down one of my favourite authors!! I love this series and the Scarlett Club so much. i was so excited to go back and see what else happens within the walls of the members only club.
We have Ex-Hitman turned Pastor Emmett, Hitman Kade aka the twins, and Waverly, who has been on the run for the last 10 years. Their pasts are entwined, but only Waverly is unaware that she has two men watching and protecting her since she ran.
The connection and banter between these three is fantastic, and you get the sense you are there with them, and the ohh the chemistry is scorching hot you’ll definitely be needing a cold shower.

Who wouldn't want two hot as heck stalkers that have been following you practically since the night one of them unalived your dad? Waverly is on the run for a decade not knowing the whole time she is being stalked by not one but two men who just happen to be twins. One is a priest yes that's right a priest and the other calls himself the devil and is a trained assassin just like his twin. They both love her and will do anything to protect her. I could not put this book down and needed time to process just how much I loved it. Its honestly one of my favorite reads of this year and I don't know anything that can top it. Montana Fyre is the one author that I have found to be able to beautifuly tell the main characters story while also weaving in characters we know and love from other books. This is one for the reread pile. And lastly I want to say 'glory hole confessional' scene was beautiful.

Ten years ago Emmett was sent on a job by his father. He has a target and a job to do, but wasn't prepared to see the target's daughter Waverly. To say that he is obsessed from the moment he sees her is an understatement. He is not about to take the chance of something happening to this woman and helps her to escape. He also decides right then to keep an eye on her from that moment to the present. When his twin Kade see his twin helping the target's daughter he needs to know why his twin would do this. After all he helped him do it. Now he too is keeping a close eye on her. In the present Waverley is oblivious to the fact that she has caught the attention of two very dangerous men. Emmett now has left his family and their business to become a priest, while his twin Kade stayed working for their father while always keeping Waverley's safety a top priority. When she begins working at a club that Kade owns Emmett sees this as his chance to get closer to her. Even if he has to pretend to be his twin. I went into Pray For The Damned expecting a standard dark romance, but I got so much more. This book serves up a heavy dose of forbidden angst with a unique MFM dynamic that I could not put down.
The backstory sets the stage perfectly. We see Emmett ten years ago, supposed to be completing his initiation into the family crime business. Instead, he becomes obsessed with the target's daughter and helps her escape. Now, a decade later, the dynamic has shifted. Emmett has repented and become a Priest, while his identical twin Kade remains a hitman. They are both keeping tabs on Waverley and staying away from each other, until she starts a new job at the Scarlet Lounge. I loved seeing the connection to Wyatt and Elias from Trust in the Fallen here.
The real conflict kicks in when Kade decides he is tired of watching from a distance. He starts posing as Emmett to get close to Waverley. The dramatic irony was fantastic. Reading scenes where Waverley mentions moments to Emmett that he has no memory of was purely entertaining. You can feel his frustration building as he realizes his twin is encroaching on his territory.
If you enjoy tropes like touch her and die, stalker romance, and the intense push and pull of identical twins fighting over the same woman, this book is for you. It is dark, possessive, and incredibly gripping.

Montana is exceptional with character and story building and writing a story of absolute fire! How she joins each and every story (even though they are standalones) is beyond me. I’m ready to read anything she writes. Stories she hasn’t even thought of yet are on my TBR. 😅

You have two twin brothers who have been pitted against each other and have been mostly estranged but both watching over the same girl on the run for 10 years until they come out of the shadows. The story is very surface level and was fast paced with a slow burn. I really wanted more depth to the characters to make me love it more.

pray for the damned was so fun to read! i really enjoyed how the three of them interacted both as a group and in their own duos. the twins & each with waverly on their own. the start of the story does a good job at giving the reader insight at how the first 'spark' of obsession between two of the characters starts and just as easily informs the reader of the third person's mutual feelings on the matter. we get a good feel on waverly's hesitation to both trust people & to relax when things are going good. she's an interesting fmc, mostly because her moral compass, at least compared to most of the previous fmcs from montana, is definitely on the more morally gray side.
kade was also an interesting character, i hope we see him cameo in a future book!

Overall another wonderful book from the amazing Montana Frye. I loved that we got to delve back into this world since I loved the first book so much! I loved the premise of this book from the very beginning. What’s better than one amazing MMC….2 amazing MMC. The relationship between all of the characters kept my attention throughout the story. I loved the different dynamics not only between the FMC and the MMC but between the MMC’s as well. It was interesting to see the different dynamics and personalities of the twins.
I was glad to see that we got to follow up with the characters from the first book in this series since that was the first book I read from this author and the only that sent me down a rabbit hole of reading all of her books.

Its not just spice obviously… As Montana writes just so phenomenally well you can expect to be intrigued in the story and glued to the pages. They are real. You know it. The world she created all interconnect and it is super duper cool being still apart of everyone’s lives and getting glimpses off them.
Waverly survived years on the run and even though she knew she must have Guardian Angels looking after her to survive when the men coming after her are ruthless and dangerous she would not have guessed how near the truth that thought might be.
I can not in good conscience give away a lot on the story as it might give away the plot.. and Ive just unlocked a Convesional Kink so there’s that lols..

This is the second book in this series.
Kade and Emmett are identical twins, where one is a good boy priest, and the other is a bad boy hitman. One is stalking Waverly, and the other stalking his twin.
This is a well written story which has family, emotions, complex characters, forbidden attraction, stalking, touch her and die vibes, reverse harem, tension, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable dark romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

An rh with twin assassins? Yeah, I’m gonna need more of this trope
This was great read, I really, really wanted more. This easily could have been a series, we only really got a few spicy scenes in, and the plot could have been played out to allow our characters to really get to know each other.
However, the story that is here? It’s killer - the priest and the hit man both unhinged with protecting our FMC.
Romance (in the most stalker-y sense)? ❤️❤️❤️❤️
