A great book from a great man. Fairly dated, but the man who wrote this book was so filled with humility you could tell from his words that he was a great leader. Pretty good. The only reason I didn't rate it ***** is because it is so dated. For a time piece it is brilliant, but also if you get over the decade/century it was written in then it is pretty good for a reminder of our humanity and how a good government is run by human beings who need to remember to act like human beings.

I wonder what Tim Alberta would think of this book. Alberta wrote a book about the current political climate which sounded much like how Hatfield described the political climate of the late 1960s. Alberta is critical of Christians' involvement in politics where Hatfield was critical of Christians' lack of involvement. There were many contrasts to the two authors approach, but there were many similarities too.
