Pages of History effectively incorporates many events in history from the Ancient time period until the Reformation. The information is brief but does give some additional information of the time that helps bring the history to life.

The fictional, "Magic Tree House"-type story that's used to weave in the historical events is a little stilted, but I think children would enjoy it quite a bit more than a straight history text.

Great overview of history from a Christian perspective. The young time-travelers' story helped draw in my kids, and having one of them be skeptical about the Gospel makes it relatable. Excellent read-aloud for elementary, but it would also be a nice "light read" if you want a big picture refresh of the main events from Creation through the Reformation.

This book was very interesting it follows a boy James and his friend lance. I saw a lot of character growth through this book, and I love the friends and talking animals they meet along the way. I learned so much about religion, an history of many different people and places. I especially learned a whole lot more about Christianity, it’s always nice to learn more about Christian’s.

This book was really fun. It is a book to read with your children. It is amazing how much history the authors were able to pack into it! Teach your kids history. This is a great one to choose when they're young.

We thoroughly enjoyed this book in our homeschool. This is a great springboard and tool in diving into history. Of all the elementary history texts I’ve encountered or used, this by far and wide is my favorite! Looking forward to part two!

I liked the idea of the book. It was pretty well written and it covered a lot!
I didn't like the long chapters, and there were a few spots where I felt like the authors were trying to use the Bible to push their political agendas. Just my opinion.
