Four Points Mafia #3

It Will Always Be You

Rate this book
Jonathan

As the heir to the Four Points, control has always been my weapon and my shield. Enemies are everywhere, and weakness is a luxury I can’t afford. But then she came into my world.

She was an obsession I never saw coming—dangerous, intoxicating, and impossible to ignore. The worst possible timing... yet I was already in too deep.

My existence had always been dictated by legacy, duty, the cold weight of blood and power. But in an instant, she shattered all of it. She consumed me in ways I can’t explain. A force I couldn’t fight.
I never saw the darkness lurking in the shadows, not until it was too late—until they took her.

Now, I’ll burn everything down to bring her back—and protect the empire that’s mine to claim.

Helen

For years, I lived in the shadows, the perfect mafia daughter—silent, obedient, unseen. But the moment they threatened my sister, that life was gone in a heartbeat. I vanished into the darkness, becoming someone else, someone who could survive. Until a job brought me right back into this hellish world—and into his orbit.

My new boss was a storm of darkness and desire. Cold, ruthless, and impossible to escape. Every glance from him pulled me closer to the edge. Every word dragged me deeper into his dark and dangerous world.
He didn’t understand the word no, and I could feel the walls I had spent years building slowly crumbling.

For so long, I’d sacrificed everything. And just when I thought I might finally have a taste of happiness, it was ripped from me—brutally, violently.

Now, I’ll make them pay. For everything.

And maybe… maybe I’ll let myself believe there’s still something worth fighting for. Something worth saving — even if it’s just the pieces of us we left behind.

I enjoyed the first half. Second half was hard to read and the ending was ok! Still need some answers about Lily so I’ll have to read book four

This book is a standalone but in a series. This is Jonathan and Helen’s story! Spicy and dark!

Please read trigger warnings as the second part of the story is super dark. It’s definitely a roller coaster!

I do not know how to rate this book.
70% of the book is excellent - the first 1/3 of the book is a fun, sweet Mafia/work place romance with banter and chemistry and I was here for it. The next 1/3 is pitch black. & I would go so far as to say, the trigger list doesn’t contain adequate warning. I am marking spoiler warning so read further at your own risk - but read with the information that I felt I wish I had known -

Abduction, kidnapping, torture NOT MAFIA related, mutilation, starvation, brutal acts against a sibling.

Still, at this point, this book was a 5 star read.

& then it was like it was written by someone else - the characters fell apart - the plot fell apart - we jumped over 20 years in the book. Even the recovery and healing was majorly lacking in reality and it was purely to build up for the next book. This book had so much potential and fell so short. I would have rather read a 600 page book with fantastic revenge that Helen deserved and been set up appropriately for book 4 than whatever rushed mess this was.

With all of that being said - my final rating is a 3.5 star but because I can not genuinely recommend this book to anyone - I am not rounding up and I am leaving it at a 3 star.

If the author does read this - please consider editing the trigger warnings.

⚠️ CHECK TRIGGERS ‼️
This book had the potential of being a 5 star read. The first part was great. I loved it. But the middle part got confused with the time gaps. I felt important things were left out in the time gaps. The ending was a little rushed. But all together I loved the book. Jonathon is hands down book boyfriend worthy. And Helen. I absolutely love her. She’s such an amazing and strong FML. What she went through and still came out strong and the bad 🍑 she was in the start of the book. This is book three of a series but so maybe reading the other two books will make the middle part make more sense 🤣🤣 Since the first two books are about couples that wasn’t born in the start of this book. I will definitely be back tracking and reading the other books to test that theory.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ And a half 🌶️🌶️

Wow
This book definitely had me at the edge of my seat the entire time.

Helen who is a Mafia Princess escapes after she is told she needs to marry and have a heir to some old dude. She gets a job as a PA for Johnathan O’Neil (who is very cocky) but turns out he has a thing for her.
They both have explosive chemistry you can’t Deny. But when Helen gets taken He makes it his mission to get her back.
This isn’t your normal office romance it’s a romance that will have you at the edge of your seat.

No život, pred ktorým Helen utekala, ju dobehol a poriadne kúsol do zadku.

No autorka do príbehu zakomponovala únos hlavnej hrdinky a zhruba od 60% knihy ten príbeh išiel dole vodou. Time skip o 17 rokov neskôr, potom ďalších 5 mesiacov a aby toho nebolo málo, tak pridajme ešte nejakých 6 rokov.

Jonathan and Helen? Absolute chaos—in the best way. The tension, the heat, the raw, messy emotions—I was hooked from the first page. He’s all sharp edges and control, the kind of man who owns the room without saying a word. She’s quiet strength and survival, the girl who’s been through hell and still stands tall. Put them together and it’s explosive.

Jonathan is the mafia heir who’s been trained to be cold, ruthless, untouchable. But Helen crashes into his life like a hurricane—unexpected, impossible to ignore, and everything he shouldn’t want. And he can’t let her go. Doesn’t even try. The obsession is instant, and it just gets deeper and darker the more he falls.

Helen’s story broke me. She’s lived her whole life trying to protect others, sacrificing everything—including herself. She’s guarded, smart, and so damn strong. And even when everything’s ripped away, she doesn’t fold. She fights back.

Their connection is wild. It’s toxic, intense, beautiful—and somehow still feels like the only safe thing in a world that’s built to destroy them. And when things hit the fan (which they definitely do), the way they fight for each other? Chef’s kiss. No one’s making it out clean, but they’re not letting go either

This review is for an ARC I received. I am not being compensated for this review in any way and these are my personal thoughts and opinions on the story provided to me by the author.

First of all ... thank you so much to Shannon Jade for giving me the opportunity to read and review this story. 🤗

This was so good. Helen and Jonathan's story is one of soulmates and the proof that no amount of time, trauma, or circumstances can change that fact when two souls are tied together as deeply as Helen and Jonathan's are.

The way that Jonathan loves Helen is indescribable. His support through her healing after everything she experiences after being sold to Kyle, is unmatched.

Even with Jonathan, Helen finds herself again. She builds herself back up with her family's support.... I love a strong FMC. I love a supportive MMC. I love an MMC that can love his woman through her darkness while allowing her to build herself back up in the process.

The spice was 🤌🏻 and it was absolutely done at the appropriate times. Nothing in this plot felt rushed or left out. The ending was 😵 and I can't wait to dive into the next installment of this series when it is released!

Oh my goodness. Shannon has really done it.

This book was (part 1) SPICY, (part 2) HEARTBREAKING, and (part 3) suspenseful!!!!

I am normally not a mafia girly but I love this series. You can see Shannon growing more confident as a writer on each new book and this book truly shines.

(I always say this in a series but) I loved returning to a setting I’ve grown to love, I loved all the cameos from the previous characters (I need to keep a note in my phone to keep everyone straight! This is my official petition for a family tree for all these amazing characters) and I loved watching the overall story progress for ALL of the characters (not just the main characters of this book).

Book 4 is Matt and Lily and you know I always love a good stepsiblings book. I can’t wait to see the story of this world progress further!!

Be prepared to have your soul sucked out of your body. This book will forever have a hold on me. With all the plot twists and the year gap, I never saw it coming. This is a first meeting and a second chance romance all in one book. It truly is amazing.

This is a dark mafia style romance so be warned before diving in!

That Blew My Mind

Why, you ask? Well, when I hear it's a dark Irish mafia romance, I'm thinking, "Ok, some action, some violence, and some spice. No problem. Sounds fun!" It Will Always Be You was NOT what I expected. I experienced the full range of emotions, but mainly it was rage for our FMC. She's the daughter of a mafia man promised to a skeevy old dude and decides to take off and save herself. She falls for a rival mafia king, our MMC, and we swoon. Then all hell broke loose and my stomach was in knots from 56% to 73% of the book. In my humble opinion, it's a great read when my emotions are going wild, and I'm left questioning my sanity.

REVIEW:

"Nothing could or ever would compare to this utter feeling of belonging that only he can give me. He vowed to claim me, and claim me he did, both figuratively and literally."

After I found out she was alive I NEEDED THEIRRRR BOOK and it did not disappoint! I cried so much in this book it's crazy, I'm so happy Helen can finally be back with her family after they were taken from her

If you read the first book (their daughter book) you know that it's always just been Helen and Cora and with Jonathan watching over them but also Cora not knowing her dad, in this book we get to know the backstory of Cora parents and Helen years captivity and saving herself

Oh my heart Helen and Jonathan deserves the world and to be together as a family from the start, it may have taken over a decade but they finally got their endgame

"'ll slay every demon that haunts her. Whatever it takes to help her heal from the hell she's survived I'll do it. Even if she never lets me hold her again, nothing will stand in my way."

Helen missed so much being in captivity. Cora finding her dad, her becoming a grandmother, and so much more she deserves everything good in life I love her so much

I love these two so much I couldn't enough of them their love story broke me and put me back together

I can wait for the next book!! I need to know what's happening

Thank you Shannon for giving me this arc it was amazing <3

I had the pleasure of receiving this book as an ARC so thank you Shannon for the opportunity, I appreciate it.
I went back and read the first two books in the series before I went to this one and by far this one was my favourite. I loved everything from the FMC, the MMC, their story together and the story within the book. I must say some of Helen's chapters were harder to read than most so please read your trigger warnings first. Also, Jonathan is just so hot 🥵 that man can talk dirty to me all day every day 🥵 the spicy scenes were so hot 🔥

I also loved seeing all the Irish names throughout the series. As an Irish girlie myself I love books with simple things like that 😁

I am definitely going to add this to my reread list and read this again some time next year 😁

Many thanks to Shannon Jade and Luna Literary for the chance to read an arc of this book. Those opinions are still my own.

It will always be you is the third book in the Four Points saga and it feels like those books keep getting better.

Shannon Jade took me on an emotional roller coaster, one I didn't want to leave.

Helen and Jonathan's story broke my heart a hundred times and mended it a hundred times plus one.

The book is split into three parts, starting before the events of book 1 and 2, with their meeting and falling in love arc. Part 2 is darker than the rest of the book and than book 1 and 2. It was heartbreaking and horrible to read but that's just a testimony to how well Shannon wrote those moments.

Helen is one of the strongest FMC I ever read about. From the moment we met her, I loved how determined she was to carve a better life for herself and the ones she loves. Her fierceness and strength, her sass and her compassion, were all tools she used to survive the hell she went through. Her healing journey in part 3 was both heartbreaking and heartwarming to witness, until she reached the HEA she deserved so much.

Jonathan was the only one worthy of her and he fought hard to prove it. Behind his cold self-assured exterior, that man melts for the women he loves. He was obsessed with her since he first lay eyes on her and who doesn't love a man obsessed? His constant love and support of Helen and what she had been through are among my favorite moments in the book ("You will never suffer one more moment of pain, Helen. Not on my watch"). Buit he also knew how to listen to her and help her take control of her body again.

I love them both so much. They deserve their happy ending.

Plot wise, Shannon answers a few mysteries from the sex trafficking ring but gives us many more. I can't wait to read book 4 and how everything is going to be wrapped up.

First things first: READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS. There are things that do get mentioned later in the story that can be triggering. So if any of the warnings give you reason not to read this, please don’t. Your mental health comes first! Now to my review.

I had the privilege to read book 2 before its release and that in turn got me to read book one. And now we are at book three and honestly, it was hard to put down. I started it, things in life got a bit hectic, but when I was finally able to pick it back up, gods was it hard to put down. I mean, this one made me almost tear up at scenes. I am so glad we got this storyline of Helen and Jonathan. Not only do we get to see their start, but we also get to see their return to one another. These two went through so much, for so long.

At the start, I felt for Jonathan when it came to his father. Not exactly but relatable because I am currently going through the fear of loss with my own mother, who currently has moderate vascular dementia, among other things, and things aren’t going uphill. So his fear before losing his father, that really hit home. And also felt a bit of Helen in me as well. Not exactly the same obviously. She escaped her family who was selling her off into a marriage when she turned 18…and my relatable experience is still one I can’t really talk about, only say that it involved the cult I left. But anyways! These two brought out so much emotion from me.

And when it came to their time apart…it was ROUGH. Without too many spoilers, best said that time was hell for them and hell to read. So when we finally got to Helen reuniting with Jonathan and her daughter, the sob that left my lips was hard.

And seeing how things are afterwards, I just can’t get two lines out of my head that conveyed how much Jonathan loved Helen. The first one was “There’s my pretty girl. Give me those baby blue eyes…” and that line was after Helen told him about what happened to her. It just oozed so much love and care! And the second line was one he gave after Helen noticed he didn’t change a thing in his life after he thought she was dead, “What can I say? I didn’t want to move on when I knew what heaven was.” I mean, these lines were delivered after she told him what had happened to her. And he still made it clear to her that none of that diminished his love for her.

And I gotta say, Helen had such strength to survive what she did. I won’t go into detail because it can be triggering for some, hence why I say to review the trigger warnings before reading, but damn, I wanted to cry the entire time. Yes there is some spice in this one, but the story itself is so good, the spice feels like extra tidbits. And to be clear of one thing and will also determine your choice to read this, Helen gets revenge!

This could be read as a standalone, but honestly, I suggest reading book 1 and 2 just to really see the world and family surrounding Helen and Jonathan. I am excited for book 4, but will keep the tissues nearby just in case tears come out like it did for this one.

This book completely took me by surprise in the best way - what a ride!

The story is a dark mafia romance with elements of "who did this to you," second chance, "it's always been you," and one incredibly strong FMC.

Helen, the main FMC, was born into the mafia world. Desperate to escape its clutches, she runs away - only to fall right back into it when she falls for her boss, Jonathan, who just so happens to be part of a rival mafia gang. Thrust back into the dark world the mafia entails, Helen navigates the dangers and trauma that follow. Meanwhile, Jonathan shows just how devoted a man in love can be.

The pacing of the book is great, and the writing style makes it so easy to read. There are plenty of silent chuckle moments in the first half and lots of sharp, witty banter that kept me smiling. The spice doesn't really kick in until around 40% (and who doesn't love a delicious slow burn?). But when it does… it's full of praise, kink, teasing, and serious heat! 🔥

Then came that massive turning point on page 166 (IFYKYK) 😱 I half-saw it coming, but it still left me shocked. From that moment on, the story gets dark, with the whole tone shifting in the most gut-wrenching way. There are heart-warming moments, but also moments where I was literally saying, "what the actual fuck?!" - especially when the timeline suddenly jumped 17 years.

Now, I read the blurb and the trigger warnings, but the first half of the book still lulled me into believing this was just a cosy little office romance with some light mafia vibes. I assure you, the second half of the book will completely shatter that notion. The story becomes so dark, raw, and full of twists and turns that I constantly had my jaw on the floor. The pain, the emotion, the shock - I was absolutely hooked!

I also loved the moments of feminine rage and how Helen was ultimately the one who saved herself. Add in the multiple little subplots (none of which were confusing - despite not having read the rest of the interconnected series), and it honestly felt like I was binge-watching a multi-season TV show in one sitting.

This book made me laugh, gasp, and cry for the characters. It’s beautifully written, brutal at times, but so worth the ride it takes you on.

Just a note - I highly recommend checking the trigger warnings before diving in, as the book covers some very dark topics and the details can be graphic.

If you’re after a dark romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat, trying to unravel the mysteries weaved while having your heart broken then stitched back together with a burning heat - then this one’s for you!

Very grateful for the opportunity to read this ARC - the book truly blew me away!

What can I say! Shannon has done it again!!

This story 'IT WILL ALWAYS BE YOU' follows the story of Jonathan and Helen. (Cora from book 1's parents) and the leader of the Four Points group. It's strongly recommended to read book 1 and 2 before starting his one, as it contains spoilers for both books, and may lead to a better reading experience.

One of the only negative things I struggled with was the timeline. The beginning of the story takes place before Cora is born, and before everything happens. However, I personally found there were references to technology/devices and references that may not be historically accurate. This might be a me problem and not knowing what year this actually took place in to know if this was actually a thing. (I was picturing it being in the 90's but this could be wrong.)

Overall the story was great, I wish they had spent more time working on Helen's recovery, she was trafficked for 6 years, and within a few weeks she's seemingly fine? I don't know how well she'd be doing. I don't know if she'd be as easy to let Jonathan love her like he used to without some sort of trauma response. Again, that could be me, and how I would have responded if I were Helen.

I loved seeing this different side of the Four Points group as well, seeing where they came from to how they got to the current generation.

I can't wait for the next book to be released. What is going to happen with Lily?

**I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. However, I have since purchased the paperback for my trophy shelf.

📚✨ It will always be you by Shannon Jade Review ✨📚
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
PLEASE CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE DIVING IN! This book is dark, angsty, and absolutely consuming.

Helen and Jonathan OWNED me. 🔥🫶🏼 When I say thatI devoured this in one sitting and I regret nothing except not pacing myself - like it was that good!

Helen is the definition of a survivor. She is a mafia princess turned shadow who ran to escape her past, only to crash into her future in the form of a broody, dominant Irish mafia boss. Enter Jonathan. He is touch her and die personified and I loved every second of his protective, obsessive energy. 🥵

Their chemistry?? SCORCHING. 🔥 The angst?? DEVASTATING!! The plot?? Unputdownable. Like literally!

Tropes you’ll love:
✨ Second chance romance
✨ Office romance (hello, PA to mafia boss 😮‍💨)
✨ Forced proximity
✨ He falls first (and hard) 🫠
✨ Damaged heroine healing arc
✨ Dark romance with redemption on the edge

There were moments I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. And although the time jumps were a little confusing in the middle, I felt every ounce of Helen’s pain and rage. But by the end, I was sobbing, sweating, and swooning.

Although this is book 3 in the Four Points Mafia series, it absolutely can be read as a standalone, but you’ll probably want to go back for the others like I did. 👀 Shannon Jade continues to destroy and revive my heart in the same sentence.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

It Will Always Be You is mafia romance done right—think steamy, angsty, action packed and heart pounding at every turn. Jonathan, the second-born son of the Four Points family, is all control, blood and legacy until Helen, the perfect mafia daughter with fiery strength and beauty, disappears and reappears back in his life years later as his new boss. She’s on the hunt for survival and revenge after everything that she’s been through. Secrets, betrayal and obsession fill the pages as this on again, off again couple is forced into working together, testing their broken trust and offering up second chance angst and power play at every turn. He’s intense and protective, trying to claim what’s always been his and she’s on guard and equally determined to not let him back in. If you’ve ever read a mafia romance before then you know that the stakes are always high. In this book, the real danger hits home, the attraction and intensity between the characters sizzles and the emotional investment is real. I found myself skimping on sleep, gasping at certain reveals, wanting to hug Helen during scenes when she calls out her past and feeling every second of Jonathan’s claim and Helen’s will to resist. This is a must read if you like mafia romance where “legacy” and “protection” are more than just buzz words and where trust is shattered and then tested with each new chapter.

This book was an emotional roller coaster from start to finish.

I went into it completely blind, having never read the previous books in the series or anything else by this author, and I was genuinely surprised by the scope of the story. It spans a huge portion of the characters' lives, which is rare and deeply satisfying. One thing you never get enough of with your favorite characters is more time, and this book gives you exactly that.

Helen’s strength was both inspiring and heartbreaking. She was an absolute queen of a FMC resilient, fierce, and unforgettable. And Jonathan's love for her was so powerful, so unwavering, that it felt like she was his entire world. There was never a question of anyone else, just always her.

I also appreciated how clear-cut the emotions were when it came to the villains of the story. There’s no moral gray area here. You hate them, and you want to hate them.

This book managed to be both heart-wrenching and heartwarming, often in the same breath. There were several moments that genuinely made my pulse race.

That said, I did struggle a bit with keeping track of all the names, likely because this was my first entry into the Four Points Mafia world. A family tree or character guide would have helped, but honestly, now I just want to go back and read the first two books to fill in the blanks.

As I had not read the previous books in the series or anything else by this writer, I approached it completely unaware and was genuinely surprised by the scope of the story. It encompasses a large portion of the characters' lives, which is rare and deeply satisfying. Spending additional time with your beloved characters is something you can always crave, and this book offers precisely that.

Helen's courage was both sorrowful and motivating. She was resilient, strong, and unforgettable, establishing her as the unquestionable queen of an FMC. It appeared that she meant everything to Jonathan due to the depth and unwavering nature of his love for her. It was only her who was ever questioned, never anyone else.

Concerning the story's adversaries, I truly appreciated how unique the emotions were. There is no moral uncertainty present in this situation. You wish to loathe them, and indeed you do. Often within the same sentence, this book was simultaneously touching and charming. There were several moments that genuinely got my heart racing.

Nonetheless, since this was my initial experience in the Four Points Mafia universe, I found it somewhat challenging to recall all the names. Honestly, I simply want to reread the first two books to fill the gaps, although a character guide or family tree would have been beneficial

I stayed up until 3 a.m. to finish this book and I regret NOTHING!!! Shannon Jade absolutely wrecked me in the best way. What started as a solid mafia romance turned into an emotional rollercoaster that did not slow down. Just when I thought I knew where it was going… 💥 bam💥 plot twist. Then 💥 bam 💥 another one. And then… that anniversary reveal? 😩 I was literally gasping!!Alone. At 2 a.m. just freaking out by myself! Ah!

Helen is easily one of the most resilient FMC’s I’ve ever read. She’s fiery, funny, fiercely protective and most of all brave. I mean.. SHE SAVES HERSELF. UGH!! Her journey toward loving herself, setting boundaries, and prioritizing her family? Chef’s kiss. 🤌🏻 If you’re a sucker for strong women who fight like hell…Helen’s your girl. And she’s so worth it.

And Jonathan? 😮‍💨 He might not be your typical terrifying mafia boss, but don’t let that fool you he is loyal, commanding, and sooo devoted to his girl. Also, someone please muzzle that man because his mouth?? I blushed. Multiple times. And I loved every second of it!

This book isn’t for the faint of heart. It tackles heavy themes, so read those trigger warnings but if you can handle it? Buckle up, babes!. Because once you’re on this ride, there’s no getting off. And honestly? You won’t want to.

Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars for me: a few scenes felt a tiny bit rushed, and with so many side characters, I had to pause a few times to remember who was who. But overall, This story pulled me right in and didn’t let go.

Happy Reading friends!! 🫶🏼

ARC Review

“I’ll slay every demon that haunts her. Whatever it takes to help her heal from the hell she’s survived—I’ll do it.”

“How I ended up here after all the chaos and darkness, I don’t know, but I’m so glad I managed to fight my way back to you. To us.”

Johnathan- As the heir to the Four Points, control has always been my weapon and my shield. Enemies are everywhere, and weakness is a luxury I can’t afford. But then she came into my world.

Helen- for years I lived in the shadows, the perfect Mafia daughter - silent, obedient, unseen. But the moment they threatened my sister, that life was gone in a heart beat.

It Will Always Be you is the 3rd book in the Four Points Series and a second chance Mafia romance. I love how we got the beginning of Johnathan and Helen’s story. As I was highly curious from the previous book. Their romance was beautiful and their chemistry was unbelievably hot. The dirty mouth on Johnathan was everything I needed. 🥵🥵

Now with that being said the 2nd half of this book was emotionally devastating and extremely heavy. Everything that Helen went through was heartbreaking.

It gave second chance, boss/employee, praise kink, breeding kink, and so much angst. Please be sure to check your trigger warnings!

GAH! It's been a few days since I finished this and I'm still not sure how to go about giving a review. First, while this is a standalone - it's part of a series and while you don't have to start at the beginning it's well worth it to know/understand some of the players that come up - especially later in the story. First, the largest portion of the story is set "in the past" - it's MC's Helen and Jonathan's beginning (we meet them at the end of book 2). The first part is typical mafia princess runs away from an arranged marriage, work place romance (he's the boss, she's his admin). The second half is dark. So dark, darker than the previous two - so check those triggers. Which I expected - due to the nature of the storyline (which had already been touched). I loved how this story tied into the previous two books as well - kind of reading the part of the same story, just in another POV. This part is also a bit confusing from a timing standpoint - that's my only real issue. The end was about what I'd expected (trying not to give anything away here! It's so hard!) just with some details that continued to add the the Four Points Mafia story line. Now I can't wait for Lily's story!!

Thank you Shannon Jade and Luna Literary for providing me with an advance copy of this book, I got a late start and I read through KU

Important: Check the TW before reading, if you’re picking up a mafia romance then theres a good chance you know what you’re getting into but as a precaution check the TW.
—————————————————————

⚠️ It did take me a little bit for me to get into, but once I did it was good. Halfway through is when it gets pretty heavy to read (again check TW) and I did have to take a brief break in between. With that said though it wasn’t a bad book and I did enjoy it. I absolutely adore Jonathan, he’s passionate and incredibly patient with Helen.
There are quite a few time jumps, but they are documented.

Some quotes to maybe make you fall in love with Jonathan.
“Fuck it. Life’s too short,” he whispers,
I love “fuck it” moments in books😍

“Kissing her was easier than breathing.” *swoon* if my future man doesn’t feel like this then I don’t want him.

“You are perfection, an absolute goddess who deserves to be worshipped daily,” he vows” same with this🥵😮‍💨🤭

READ TRIGGER WARNINGS

This book emotionally destroyed me.

I love to hate a good emotional book, and this is just that. You do get your HEA, but it’s nowhere like I had hope and expected. The FMC goes through hell to get there, and my heart still aches for her.

Jonathan is the heir to the Four Points, and nothing will stop him from being the most put together and ruthless boss legally and illegally.

Helen was raised to be the perfect mafia daughter to be sold off to be the perfect wife, but when her sister is threatened, she had no choice but to disappear and create a new identity.

Helen becomes Jonathan’s secretary, and as their love blooms, Helen is taken away when a mutual enemy discovers who Helen really is. After years apart, and endless torture that nobody should be able to survive, Helen finds her way back to Jonathan. Jonathan never stopped loving or looking for Helen, and is determined to spend any time they have left together, healing.

Honest Review.

Check your tigger warnings ‼️‼️⚠️ I had the pleasure of receiving an arc for this book. This is book 3 of a of this series of interconnected standalones.
We get to meet Johnathan and Helen at the end of book 2. The first part of this book is set in the past and how they met. Helen was a runaway mafia princess trying to avoid being sold by her parents to marry an older man. She ends up getting a job at Johnathan’s assistance and he falls hard. She tries not to catch feelings but one thing leads to another.

When Helen finds out she’s pregnant Johnathan knows they can’t be together if she is going to be safe. So he sends he off to protect her but keeps tabs on her over the years l.
Jump to the future and there is an “accident” and Johnathan thinks Helen is dead, but there is something in him that makes him not want to believe it.

The second part of the book is really dark. It will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. There is so much emotion and plot twists you won’t want to put the book down. If I didn’t have to get up for work everyday I would have finished much faster. I highly recommend this book!

This book had me on and off crying for 75% of the book.

I'm glad Helen got away from her family and the man that was going to take her at hand in marriage at such a young age.

She decides that being in enemy territory is better than look over her shoulder, not knowing she has met her match being hired by Jonathan.
Jonathan, has the weight of his father's health declining, as well as running the Irish Mob, and a successful business, never taking the time for himself and along comes Helen who puts everything into question.

I love that they can't keep their hands off each other once they decide to take the plunge and take their relationship to the next level, but obviously fate has other plans for them.

I was devastated about the amount of time it took them to be reunited, everything Helen had to endure, but to see the love and the destruction Jonathan took to make sure his daughter and love were safe was another thing.

I would be sure to get the trigger warnings and some parts of this book might not be suitable to some.

I look forward to driving into the next book because the story doesn't end there.
