Rate this book
The Twisted Carnival, a sanctuary for the strange, the wicked, and the damned. A world where darkness isn’t just part of the show — it’s survival.

For me and my brother Aidan, it’s the only home we’ve ever known. The only place he’s safe from humans who would tear him apart if they knew that when night falls, the demon inside Aiden steps into his skin. That he's possessed by a creature of sin and shadow, an incubus driven by hunger.

Every night, he corners me with that wicked smile and those burning eyes and reminds me that I’m his. His to touch, his to ruin, his to protect. He threatens to hurt Aidan if I refuse to submit. I should hate him, fight him, run. But I can’t. Because when he’s near me, he's all I crave. His touch ignites something primal and desperate, something I’ve buried for so long.

But Warrick’s obsession is more than mere desire. He tells me I’m his mate. The one thing tying him to this world. The reason he exists at all. I don’t want to believe him, but the way he watches me, the way he burns for me, terrifies and thrills me all at once.

When Aidan and I uncover the truth about the carnival, about Warrick, and about Mama’s twisted betrayal, the fragile world we’ve clung to collapses. Everything we’ve ever known is a lie. And the truth? It just might tear us apart.

"We give them a glimpse of the impossible before vanishing forever..."~Seraphine

"You think you have a choice, my little human? You are already mine. Everything else is just formality."~Warrick

Ohhh you wicked wicked demon you!! Tsk tsk.👿☠️ This was scandalously different. It's a shorter story but dang if it didn't develop into a salacious, unexpected, darkened existence at the carnival. But this isn't your happy-go-lucky place. No no no!! This one has monsters, secrets, magical elements that pull you in and seat you front in center and show you the underbelly that lives in the darkness. **Do check and read the trigger warnings for this book. Make sure you know what to expect before sneaking under the circus tent.😏🎪** For me as a reader, it was dark and delulu crazy, but I was pulled right in. It was written very well. I could feel the tension, the overwhelming situation that was unfolding for these characters that have been bonded for life.👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽🧬👹 And there's plenty of attraction, frustration, and desire growing and bubbling.🔥🌋🌡️🌋🌡️🌋🔥 If you want hotness then stay in their caravan. Or the woods. The camp grounds.😝🙈

We have Seraphine, sweet and incredibly likable. She had such a giving heart. Eager to please. Wanting to be loved. But not in an annoying way. I liked her. She has been 'blackmailed' by being an energy giver, a s*xual conduit if you will, to Warrick. Who is Warrick, you may be asking. Well, this incubus dwells inside her sweet and protective older brother.😳 How? Why? Unfortunately, the story doesn't go too much on the workings of the past, it's something that is and has been going on for 9yrs. But it kept me reading. I was curious. That's what a good book does. And young Seraphine does these things b/c she loves Aiden. She wants to protect him, to save him from the demon. And Warrick isn't your typical demon. Uh-uh! He's obsessed, sarcastic, NEEDY for Seraphine, determined to conquer and posses her, will stop at nothing to claim her, he salivates at the sight and smell of her. Seraphine was his entire world. He comes for her every night. He will NOT be denied. For being a bad creature, he's very likable. I know. It's insane.😂😂 And Aiden, {{Slight spoiler and yet it isn't. It's in the TW list.}} Aiden isn't her brother. If that is putting you off the path to not read this, then be assured, there is no blood relation for Seraphine and him. Maybe it's still taboo but I didn't feel that way. It didn't dwell on that dynamic only at this point if that makes sense. Aiden begins as sweet but this guy was twisted and that filthy mouth. Girlll. The things he says to Seraphine. He's needy for her too. He's worse than Warrick.🫢🤯 Yeah. Worse. One thing I didn't like was the degradation. If you love someone you don't do raunchy gross things in front of others to prove something. That's just my opinion. He would hurt her in one scene and yet he didn't catch himself. The demon did. How interesting. I didn't like Mama Bloom. She's their mother. She's cruel and a nasty villain.😖🤢

Unexpected turns. Truth. Lies. Is there a HEA? Yes. And for me, a little bit of no. I wanted more. I was invested. I cared. It was an interesting world building right in front of me. I think there's more here but it's up to Ms Phoenix to go back to them. I do recommend if you're okay with the triggers. Welcome to the twisted carnival.🎪🎡 Be alert the next time you go to one. Happy reading.🖤❤️🖤❤️

🦂🔮🤹🏻‍♀️Thank you to Ms Phoenix and Booksprout for an early book. The opinions shared here are my own.🤹🏻‍♀️🔮🦂

Airicka is a new to me Author, and I'm so glad I got to read her latest book. If you are looking for a paranormal read, that is intriguingly mysterious but also not incredibly heavy on the plot then this is the book for you. The spice was spicing for damn sure and the characters were easy to connect with. I would love to know more about Seraphine, Aiden & Warrick, cause they kinda just stick with you.

Short and Spicy with a Sexy Carnival 'freak' who devours 🌶🥵

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶

I loved this book... Kind of Incest, kind of not. Hard to explain it, without giving spoilers... but seriously "WE DON'T JUDGE"!

It's a Novella and an easy read for one evening! Short, sweet and downright 🥵. It did leave me wanting to read more about the 3 main characters! I LOVED their dynamic, how they interacted and the spice was just right! There's somno and dub-con, but if that's your thing, it's definitely spicy and will have you dripping... I mean begging for more!

100% recommend both book and author! 🫶🏽🖤

3.5 ⭐️ Taboo that’s not really taboo, 2 entities in one body, a long tongue that forks and splits, and a tail? Yep, sign me up!

This short little nugget was creative and different. For a novella the author really packed it in. I would have like to read more about this throuple. It started out dark but ended up actually being more sweet.

An absolutely amazing read! Loved it! It’s dark and a bit twisted and even though it’s a shorter story it has depth and you really get to know the characters and see their development! I love Airicka Phoenix writes! She writes a perfect blend of very well written spice and a darker storyline! Absolutely recommend! The Twisted Carnival is many things. It's a safe place for the strange, the wicked, and even the damned. This is a world where darkness isn't just a part of the show – it's survival.

For Aidan and his sister, the carnival is the only home they've ever known. The carnival is the only place that Aidan is safe from humans. If the humans knew that a demon lived inside Aidan and when night falls, the demon stepped into his skin, the humans would tear him apart. The humans would never accept him if they knew Aidan was possessed by an incubus whose driven by hunger, this creature of sin and shadow.

This creature corners her with his wicked smile and burning eyes every night, and he reminds her that she is his, his to touch, to ruin, his to protect. If she refuses, he threatens to hurt Aidan. She knows that she should hate him, fight him off, try and run. She knows that she can't, no matter what she tries to do. As hard as she tries, when he's near, he's actually all she craves. His touch sets off something primal in her, something almost desperate that she's kept buried for too long.

Warrick's obsession is more than just mere desire. Warrick tells her that she's actually his mate. He tells her that she is the one tying him to this world, the very reason he exists to begin with. She doesn't want to believe him, doesn't want to believe that she is the reason for his existence. She sees the way that he watches her, though, and the way that he burns for her, and it actually both terrifies and thrills her.

Together with Aidan, they work to uncover the real truth about the carnival and about Warrick and about their mom's betrayal. Suddenly, the fragile world they have lived in and more than that clung to has started to collapse. They soon start to realize that everything they have ever known and been told was a big lie.

The truth? That could actually tear us apart once and for all.

"We give them a glimpse of the impossible before vanishing forever..."~Seraphine

"You think you have a choice, my little human? You are already mine. Everything else is just formality."~Warrick

Warrick, you wicked wicked little demon! This book was fabulous. It was scandalous but amazingly fabulous.

It was a shorter story than I was expecting, but very quickly, it developed into this intoxicating, salacious, unexpected, carnival darkened existence.

This book is not going to leave you in any sort of happy place or take you to any place of joy, so if you are looking for a light, airy fun read, this book is not the book you are searching for. This book contains mythical creatures, enigmas, and elements of the mystical and unknown. All of these elements and all the elements that I haven't mentioned pull you into the story and hook you in and don't let you go till the very end.

YOU'RE MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!! Read the trigger warnings and make sure you understand them. You need to know and understand what you will be reading before you start reading this book. There are topics that will be triggering to some readers.

Personally I found that this book was insane mania and even though I read and reread the trigger warnings and the blurb several times I wasn't ready for what I read in this book and yet, I ended up being pulled into the story and no matter how hard I tried to stop reading at times, I just couldn't pull myself away. Airicka Phoenix has an amazing writing style that not only pulls you in to her stories but it also keeps you engaged in her stories and more than that, her writing style leaves you feeling like you yourself are carrying the tension of the characters as they are going through the story and the situations they are put through. I absolutely loved the characters and how they formed this unbreakable bond that's going to last for a lifetime.

I love how Airicka wrote the chemistry, frustration, and even the desire each character felt for the other. If you are looking for hot characters with spice and steam, then you will want to stay with this book and enter into the insanity that this book holds. It's all here.

I actually really liked our FMC Seraphine. She's sweet, incredible, likable, intelligent, and stronger than she realizes. Honestly, her giving heart kind of reminds me of my own. At least, that's the way my husband describes me, I have a hard time seeing it at times. Seraphine always wants to make everyone around her so happy all the time, and really, all she wants is to just be loved, just like everyone I know honestly.

I felt sorry for Seraphine. She didn't deserve to be 'blackmailed' by the incubus. I really hated that for her, but she took it in stride, and she managed it so well. It's better than I ever would have, in fact.

Then we have the dual personality of Aiden and Warrick. Aiden is Seraphine's older brother. Even though they are not related by blood, he still treats her like his younger sister. I love how protective he is of Seraphine. And he is just so dang sweet you can't help but love him.

It's at night though that Aiden's life goes to h*ll. At night, Aiden turns into Warrick. Of course, this only happens once the moon has risen and the sun's last rays have long faded away. Warrick is actually the incubus who inhibits Aiden, taking over at night while Aiden slumbers.

Personally, I would have loved to have gotten more information on Aiden and Seraphine's past. All we do really get is that Aiden and Warrick have been linked together for the last 9 years. I would have loved to have found out how it happened, why it happened, and how they can be separated. I would have loved the information, but even without it, I loved this plot, the story, the characters, their arcs, the storyline, and I honestly can't wait to see what happens next.

I know that the only reason Seraphine finally gives in to Warrick is because of her love for Aiden, and she doesn't want Warrick to hurt Aiden. So by giving in to Warrick, she is actually protecting Aiden from the incubus. Warrick isn't your typical incubus as he doesn't go after any woman. He's enthralled, sardonic, and downright desperate for Seraphine and Seraphine alone.

For some reason, Seraphine has become Warrick's entire universe, and no matter what Seraphine tries to do, nothing will stop Warrick from coming for her every night without fail. He will not fail, and he does not let her say no to him.

I personally loved Aiden, and I hate that he had to be the body housing Warrick and his dirty mouth. I hated the way he had no boundaries and would do what he wanted to Seraphine when he wanted, and it didn't matter who was around. And what hurt the most was knowing that this was Aiden's body hurting Seraphine at times but it was all Warrick and she couldn't tell anyone that it wasn't Aiden or Aiden would end up getting hurt.

I nearly got sick when we met Mama Bloom, Seraphine, and Aiden's mom, if you can call her that. She should never be called a mom, mother, or mama. She should never have been allowed near a child if you ask me. She is pure evil. She is savage, brutal, wicked, diabolical, callas, barbaric villain.

With all the twists, turns, truth, and lies and everything in between, you are going to want to read this book and find out what kind of kinda HEA there is. In the end I wanted more and I still want more, there are so many questions that I have that have gone unanswered and I was left so established in this story that I didn't want it to end and I know that I cared about these characters way more then I should have.

I really enjoyed the world building that Airicka took the time to build in this book, and it unfolds slowly in front of you. Personally I think that there's more to this world then we get to see in this book and I hope that we get to see more of this world and more of these characters as I think there is more to this story and more to this world then we got to see in this book.

Warrick, Seraphine, & Aiden

Airicka girlll I loved this little book!!! I needed more. 😭😭
Seraphine is living in a carnival with her brother Aiden. She’s sweet and loves her brother. Which she’ll do anything for him including feeding the incubus Warrick just to save her brother.
Warrick is the incubus that lives inside of Aiden. And he only comes out at night when Aiden performs and Warrick comes out. He’s obsessed, possessive and wants Seraphine all to himself. He makes a deal with her not to kill her brother by “feeding” him.
Aiden is secretly hiding that he wants his sister. Spoiler alert or not they’re not actually related. I thought he was the sweet one but apparently he’s a lot like Warrick.
This book is spicy those scenes are 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 and what Warrick can do like yes please🫠🫠

Look this was mixed for me. On one hand it's spicy and I love a good monster romance but on the other hand some things were a huge turn off (the premise and the heroine's lack of agency to name a few)

SLIGHT SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!

THOUGHTS I HAD AFTER READING:

- Look I wanted to love this but the whole brother sister thing gave me the ick. Maybe it's because I actually have a brother, but the fact Aiden THOUGHT he was her blood brother and still got off on her being used and defiled is kind of gross to me. Also the "explanation" of "oh they're not actually siblings" doesn't help for me because 1, they were raised together and she's only known him as her big brother and 2, that she had a fantasy about him and masturbated somehow means she was totally into fucking her brother the whole time ?! What? That doesn't change the fact Aiden wanted her before he knew that and the "get out of jail free pass" of her not being his real sister was just thrown in there at the end.

- all the author had to do was make them coworkers or close friends and the whole gross brother sister thing would not have been an issue!

- next.... Seraphine has no personality or agency. Literally just a TSTL sex doll. Both Aiden and Warwick use her sexually without her permission (and while she's asleep and can't consent.... Yikes) and she never has anything to say about it. Throughout the ENTIRE book she just acts as a "cum dumpster" for them (which they literally call her that, ew) and that's it. There's no romance or bonding or love, just two guys using her for pleasure and it being "so good" she just goes along with it. Seriously... You find out your brother has been sleeping with you while you're asleep / has been sexually attracted to you for a while.... and you're ..... Not upset / don't care at all?! What?

- the smut was ok but some parts were just eye rollingly dumb or dull. Ex. We want more from their first time together but it's just "he's big, he breaches her, she comes - the end" and that fell flat. Next the whole "she came 6 times and then he goes down on her and she comes more was laughable to me. Yeah it's a monster story, it doesn't have to be realistic but anyone who has had sex knows you get sensitive after "arriving" a few times.... Having to do that like 10 times in a few mins sounds like torture lol.

- mama was so underutilized here! We get snippets of her not being human / having power but towards the end of the book she just kind of disappears and there's no satisfying conclusion.

- The ending with her being "found" annoyed me SO MUCH. Like bro!!!! How do you "forget" your sister that you fought to keep wasn't your blood sister???? How come this hasn't come up in 24 years??? Literally what the heck.

Step right up, folks, because this book is one wild, dark, and deliciously twisted ride! If you’re craving a forbidden romance drenched in sin, wrapped in shadows, and served with a side of carnivalesque chaos, look no further. The carnival isn’t just a place for cheap thrills and flashing lights—oh no, this is a sanctuary for the strange, the wicked, and the damned. And right at the heart of it all? Sweet, devoted Seraphine, our FMC, who doesn’t quite fit into the macabre spectacle. But don’t let that fool you, she’s got a darkness of her own. Because when your beloved brother is possessed by an incubus and the only way to keep him alive is to surrender yourself to the demon inside him every single night… well, let’s just say innocence only stretches so far. And that brings us to Warwick. The incubus. The predator. The monster in the dark… and the creature utterly obsessed with Seraphine. He’s dominant, possessive, and oh-so-deadly, but he lives for her, craves her, owns her. And while he may inhabit Aidan’s body, let’s just say his otherworldly features (including that eerie, razor-sharp grin) make it clear this is no ordinary sibling situation. And if you’re worried about crossing lines, spoiler alert: Aidan and Sera aren’t really related. But oh, the tension. The slow, simmering burn as Aidan watches his sister fall deeper under Warwick’s spell, the way his own desire morphs into something darker, something forbidden. When Warwick tempts him with the idea of sharing, well, that’s when things get downright filthy. Aidan, once the sweet and protective brother, transforms into a dirty-talking, sinfully seductive force of nature. And trust me, the dual POVs? Chef’s kiss. Each scene is hotter, wilder, and more intoxicating than the last. With Mama Bloom lurking in the shadows and the monsters of the carnival proving to be less dangerous than the humans who visit (and isn’t that always the case), Sera is trapped between a rock and a hard place—or rather, between Warwick and Aidan. And what a deliciously wicked place to be. This book was a full-throttle, no-holds-barred, sexy, dark, and dangerously addictive masterpiece. It pulled me in from the first page and didn’t let go until I was utterly consumed. If you love your romances with a side of taboo, a sprinkle of horror, and an extra-large serving of steam, then trust me—you need this book in your life. 🔥 10/10, I would let Warwick ruin me. 🔥
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Blackmailed by the Incubus is a delightfully twisted and wonderfully enticing story of an excruciating sacrifice that turned into something completely unexpected. No one could have anticipated how this journey would evolve or what the future would bring. After all, when secrets are locked away with the intent of wicked torture and lives are bound in aching fury nothing is ever as it seems.

Seraphine knows only what she has been told. She lives her life with her mother and brother amid the carnival people they travel and work with. While the relationship with her mother has become twisted and sour over the years, the relationship with her brother has sweetened and evolved into something she has no name to offer. She only knows that he holds her heart, and she would do anything for him. When forced to bargain for his life, she does so without hesitation. What results is something she never could have dreamed up in her wildest of dreams. Will this unforeseen twist sour the precious connection she and Aiden share, or will it reveal a stunning revelation that no one could have seen coming?

Watching Aiden take care of and love Seraphine is such a heartwarming thing to behold. He tries to protect her and remove any remorse from her. She does her best to keep their lives entact during this trying time. She doesn't want to make things awkward. She just wants him to know that she loves him no matter what happens. The situation they have to endure is no one fault, but the one who seeks to control their lives.

Seraphine and Adien struggle with the forced change between them, but instead of blaming the other, they see it as a natural shift and a precious truth come to light that has been hidden for much too long. Nothing appears to be able to rip them apart, but neither question why that seems to be. When the truth of their past begins to manifest in unexpected ways, the heart pursues what it has always longed for regardless of its forced shackles. Love will come bursting through the dark in times of need and this is no different.

Airicka Phoenix has given birth to a marvelous story that will surprise, delight, and entertain many readers. It is something to walk into with your eyes wide open, but still allow it to grow and morph into something of its own. There is no endless supply to the twists and turns along the way which makes this journey one of wicked discovery and boundless joy.

Blackmailed by the Incubus: Twisted Carnival By Airicka Phoenix

*Read content warnings. Your mental health is important.

Beautifully written. Airicka has a way of bringing the reader along for a darkly romantic, exciting and erotic ride. In the opening scenes, I closed my eyes and felt as though I was experiencing everything as if Seraphine and I were walking together. I felt immersed in the world of the Twisted Carnival.

The description of the smell of burnt sugar, the threadbare comforter with the singe mark and the sticky linoleum floor brought me straight into that trailer and all I wanted to do was run screaming from it.

Once Seraphine was outside, the haunting sights and sounds were brought to the forefront of my mind and I could see it all in perfect clarity. I heard the rusted Ferris wheel and “the residual laughter of things that aren’t there” and saw the flickering lights as the carnival was tucked in for the night.

The spice was hot as Hades and I can’t decide which I liked better, the tongue or the tail. The classic line, “I may have created a monster” had me both excited and slightly terrified. The transition from self-righteous, I can’t touch her it’s wrong Aiden to the I can’t get enough of her Aiden was exciting to observe. I honestly can’t express enough how I felt like a voyeur in the room.

Airicka's wit is on full display once more, and I genuinely appreciate her for the laughter that will keep me entertained for some time to come. When Seraphine pulls out the locked metal case with the family secret, you’ll know why I laughed.

This novella by one of my favourite authors, was a quick and satisfying read that I highly recommend.

Quotes from Blackmailed by the Incubus by Airicka Phoenix

“I turn my attention to the carnival lights flickering like dying stars against the heavy black sky. Canopies of red and white rustle in the dusk, the sails on an ever-drifting ship.” Seraphine

“You will never understand the pain I suffer when you’re away from me. I crave you with a mindless hunger that nothing else will ever satiate. You are all that keeps me alive.” Warrick

“My little obsession nuzzles her face deeper against my chest. Her body presses tighter to mine in the morning chill and I drag her closer still. My everything.” Aiden

If you don’t enjoy some good ol’ monster smut, this is probably not the story for you. This is short, spicy, a little bit taboo, and full of demonic possession. There wasn’t a whole lot of plot to this outside of the three main characters. There was some angst and drama and a whole lot of sexy times. There are definitely some triggers involved, so check those out before you read this. Because there is obviously something wrong with me, I loved this story (there is absolutely nothing wrong with loving this story). It kept my attention not only with the spicy good times, but with the mystery involved and the setting of the carnival. I was able to quickly fly through this story and didn’t want to put it down until I was done. The three main characters were so perfect together and they fit together perfectly.

This story had three characters in two bodies. Seraphine is a quiet, seemingly meek young woman who had a deal with a demon so that he didn’t destroy her brother, the only person she ever cared about. She is put down by her mom, and is one of the only beings at the carnival without any power. She finds her strength through her brother and the demon inside him. Aiden shares a body with Warrick, a demon that comes out when the sun goes down. At first, it appears that Warrick is the definition of evil, but you find that he isn’t exactly what he seems. These three have such amazing chemistry that this was really enjoyable to read. This wasn’t a deep, cerebral story. But it was so fun to read.

This was a short, fast paced, spicy story that I really didn’t want to put down until I finished it. This was super spicy, and definitely not something you want to read when surround by your coworkers, unless they love spicy monster books. I could definitely get behind reading more about these three and see where life takes them. I really enjoyed reading this, and as someone that doesn’t have a lot of monster smut under my belt, this could get me diving into more stories like this. It is taboo, which is usually not my jam, but I would suggest to keep reading if if you don’t enjoy those stories. You might be surprised. If you are looking for a spicy monster romance, this one is definitely worth the read.

😈 Seraphine & Aiden & Warrick the demon -- Devouring, Snatching, Insatiable, Impatient, Entangled is the best way to describe the relationship evolving between the Demon, Aiden, and Sera. The tension between the three rachets higher and higher as Warrick increases the heat of their attractions. Be prepared for a taste of the taboo as Sera and Aiden edge closer to their desires. 😈

🎪 “My sweet, little human.” His thumb skims my cheek. “You fight me like you don’t already belong to me. Like I wouldn’t tear through Heaven and Hell to keep you."

🎪 I am so intertwined with both of them it’s hard to determine where they start and I end.

I thought I was ready for Blackmailed by the Incubus, but this book didn’t just pull me in—it devoured me. It’s seductive, haunting, and tangled in the kind of dark obsession that leaves you breathless and conflicted in the best way possible.

The Twisted Carnival isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a living, breathing world of shadows where survival is a performance, and secrets are the real currency. For the heroine and her brother Aidan, it’s home, but home isn’t safe when you’re harboring something monstrous. Aidan’s demon isn’t just lurking—it’s hungry. And then there’s him. Warrick. Dangerous, possessive, and entirely too tempting. His presence is a threat, a promise, and a cage all at once. And worst of all? He knows it.

I felt every moment of her struggle—the terror of knowing she should resist, the heat of knowing she never really could. Warrick isn’t just an incubus; he’s an obsession, a force of nature wrapped in sin and silk. And when he claims her? It’s not just possession. It’s fate.

But this book isn’t just about seduction and stolen touches—it’s about unraveling everything you thought was true. The betrayals cut deep. The revelations? Even deeper. The moment the illusion of safety shatters, you realize just how carefully the threads of this story were spun—and how impossible it is to put it down.

Crave dark romance with teeth? Love stories where passion and danger collide in the most intoxicating ways? Then Blackmailed by the Incubus is your next obsession. Just be warned: once you step into the carnival, you won’t leave the same.

Seraphine has been a tasty morsel for a demon named Warrick. She's been feeding him for nine years. This circus she works at is the only home that she and her brother have known for years. But the woman running it is not a good person.
Aiden is Seraphine's brother. By day he's human but at night a demon takes over his body and has fixated on his sister.
Seraphine is 24 and Aiden is 26. They live with Mama Bloom. Unfortunately Mama is not a good person and has mistreated Seraphine badly over the long years. Seraphine gives in to Warrick because she's afraid Warrick will destroy Aiden to keep the body. A demon and a humon can not live in the same body together. Warrick has claimed her as his mate and has had to put off totally claiming her till she became of age. He is finally going to make her totally his. The only problem is Aiden. She doesn't want him to destroy him. Then Warrick drops a bit of a bomb on Aiden that has him in a tizzy. What will happen when Seraphine finds out?
A remarkable story touching so many tropes as well as taboos.

Wow this was a great, short read! Seraphine and Warrick and Aiden’s story is dark and passionate with a hint of mystery, I felt like I could definitely have read more about them all.
I’m not usually a big circus or carnival person but I really enjoyed the traveling, kind of magical carnival setting of this story. The brief interactions and glimpses of side characters added to the found family feel, and ultimately gave some insight into Seraphine and Aiden’s past and how they came to be there.

This was scorching hot and full of spice! Warrick had always known that she would be his and she was never letting go of Aiden. Their devotion to each other was so sweet and loving.

“You have always belonged to me. From the very moment you were brought into this world, I felt you. I felt you take your first breath. Felt every heartbeat after. You belonged to me before your parents even met. You think I’m a monster now? Wait until you see what I’ll do to anyone who tries to take you from me. You will never escape me.”

I will definitely be checking out more of Airicka’s books and look forward to more Twisted Carnival related stories!

The devil holds my soul. I boxed it up with satin ribbons and handed it to him on my 16th birthday😈

"My sweet, little human. You fight me like you don't already belong to me. Like I wouldn't tear through Heaven and Hell to keep you. You resist me because you know how I would ruin you and how much you'd love it."

"You will never understand the pain I suffer when you're away from me. I crave you with a mindless hunger that nothing else will ever satiate. You are all that keeps me alive."

This was such a fantastic story. It was supernatural, kinky, spicy, sweet, and short. I wish this was a longer story. The spice and dirty talk in this book was chef's kiss and 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. This story follows Aiden, Warrick, and Seraphine. They live the circus life and Aiden and Sera think they're siblings. Warrick is a demon who takes over Aiden's body at night and is mated to Sera. I love the connection between all three of these characters. The spice was so hot 🔥 🥵. I loved how both men were fiercely protective over Sear. So happy how this story ended and that all three got an HEA together. 🎪🎡👿👹

🎪🔥 Blackmailed by the Incubus: Twisted Carnival – A Darkly Seductive Ride

Step right up to a carnival unlike any other—where demons come to life at night, temptations consume, and no deal is ever made without a price. Blackmailed by the Incubus is a wickedly enticing blend of dark fantasy and steamy romance, pulling you into a world where right and wrong blur into one intoxicating temptation.

The Incubus himself? Utterly addictive—dominant, possessive, and impossible to resist. The tension between the characters was electrifying, laced with that perfect mix of fear and longing. The setting added an eerie, almost hypnotic quality that kept me hooked from start to finish.

If you love dark, twisted romance with a supernatural edge, this book is a must-read. Airicka Phoenix knows how to craft a story that lingers in your mind long after the last page. Just be warned: the Twisted Carnival doesn’t let go easily. 🎪🖤🔥

Blackmailed by the Incubus: Twisted Carnival is suspenseful and a page turning paranormal romance. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading the book. The story is absolutely captivating from start to finish. I found it to be quite entertaining and an absolute pleasure to read. The story is fabulously written, amazingly balanced and perfectly executed by Airicka Phoenix. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I was completely blown away by the storyline. Blackmailed by the Incubus is the story of Seraphina and Warrick and Aiden. I absolutely loved learning about who all three characters were as the main focus of this story. The characters are fantastically written and beautifully executed throughout the story. The chemistry between Aiden, Seraphina and Warrick is undeniably irresistible. I would most definitely recommend this paranormal romance for anyone to checkout and give it a read.

OMG this story was nothing like any story I have read before it was thriller and mind blowing of madness. It was a shocker of a page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. This book is going to keep you wondering "what " and "why" in this moment. Her and her brother Aidan had a connected that couldn't be broken but the incubus had possession of his body and soul. What is she going to do now. But will she be able to save her brother body and soul before the incubus before take over indefinite . But she was attracted to the incubus will their fate be to decide in this twisted event within this carnival. Will she be falling for the incubus that still had a hold on her brother's body. Will her love overcome this twists fate.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

Blackmailed by the incubus is book 3 in the twisted carnival series

FMC: Seraphine
MMC: Warrick, Aiden

This book has lots of trigger warnings so please check them out before you start reading!

This was a short twisted but super spicey read with only 101 pages.

Seraphine and Aiden live with her mother Bloom in her Caravan in the Twisted carnival. Bloom is a drunk and treats Seraphine very badly.

Seraphine is so starved for love and affection that she is eager to please everyone, she is blackmailed by Warrick the incubus who uses her as an energy source, if she refuses he will hurt her brother Aiden.

Aiden is being possessed by Warrick, every time it gets dark Warrick takes over control of his body which he only gets back when morning comes.

What I loved most in the book is the development of the characters as they find out more about themselves and what really goes on in the carnival.

My favorite quote from the book :

"You think you have a choice, my little human? You are already mine. Everything else is just formality." ~Warrick

I would recommend it to any paranormal fans who love their books spicey!

Seraphine’s life has always been about survival—enduring her mother’s cruelty, protecting her brother Aiden, and honoring a dangerous deal with a demon who refuses to let her go. Warrick, an incubus possessing Aiden’s body, demands more than obedience. He wants all of her—mind, body, soul… and eventually, her womb. Torn between fear, desire, and a growing need she can’t explain, Seraphine is caught in a dark love triangle between the brother she thought she knew and the monster who claims she was made for him. As secrets unravel and blood ties are shattered, she must confront who she really is—and what she’s willing to become. Seraphine wasn’t born to be saved—she was made to be claimed. Steamy, dark, forbidden, fated demon-human erotic romance, exploring power, control, possession, devotion, and claiming what’s yours... and never giving it back.

Seraphine made a pact to save her brother Aiden from Warrick, the demon who possess him. Her heart belongs to both of them but as lines get crossed and truths revealed they are in for one naughty ride. Aiden and Warrick both want Seraphine despite Aiden’s moral compass and Warrick’s knowledge that she is their mate. One secret blows everything up and now they are faced with forging ahead together or destroying everything they hold dear. I love Aricka’s books but wasn’t sure about this premise and oh boy was I wrong this book sucked me in and left me wanting more from these characters. Thank goodness for newsletter bonuses!! Boy, did this book bring the spice! Right from the beginning, you can tell this author knows how to write a carnal scene! And I use the word carnal deliberately. We have an incubus inhibiting her beloved brother's body each night and due to a deal made, she must submit to the creature or he will torture her brother. So we have the angst of her enjoying, physically, what the demon is doing, knowing that her brother is aware. We then have the brother being attracted to his sister and feeling everything the demon is doing.

The premise is interesting and original. The writing is solid and the heat off the charts! I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Airicka Phoenix writes some of the filthiest, naughtiest, most depraved stories I've ever read, and I must admit that I am here for it. Blackmailed by the Incubus is a dark, fun, steamy short story that might leave some readers questioning their morals, as some of its characters do, but I have zero regrets after reading about Seraphine's sweet but unconventional relationship with her protective older brother, Aiden, and the possessive incubus who possesses him, Warrick. The one complaint I have is that I wish this were a full-length book because I want more of these complex characters and this fascinating, twisted world. I can't wait to read what Airicka writes next!
