This book is intended for readers OVER 18* due to sexual content, violence and language.
Grace Ingram made one mistake that sent her down a path that was full of heart break and misery. In a moment of hesitation her stubbornness left her filled with doubts in her mind that could cause her to sacrifice the love of her life.
Grace was a blue-collar, strong, independent Texas girl that had been with the same guy since high school. Now at the age of 26 she has been asked the one thing most women are waiting and wishing for, but not Grace. The last thing she wanted was to get married and start a family- especially with a guy that had never had to work for a living. She knew Kyle was the only one she had ever loved with all her heart, trusting and allowing a level of intimacy she would never allow with another. After all he was the only man that knew of the abuse she suffered as a high school teenager. The differences in their lifestyles were in such contrast, though, that it was hard for her to let her guard down. Grace had no idea the battle she would really be fighting once she realized she was losing Kyle for good.
Kyle Chandler was everything every woman wanted. He was rich, gorgeous and full of charm. He was a ladies’ man but the only girl he had eyes for was Grace, his high school sweetheart. He had the world handed to him on a silver platter. The one thing he couldn’t have and wanted deeply was to make Grace his, but he hadn’t been successful at accomplishing that. After years of reluctance he decides to take the risk and ask her to be his, only to be met with the answer he dreaded.
Now, the three girls are back together, trying to juggle their friendships and their busy lives. McKoy is beginning to take over her successful family Vineyard, and Ashlynn getting ready for the arrival of her baby with Cooper.
Will the people that come into their lives keep them apart? Or serve to make them realize the love that they really share?
Do you have to really lose the most important person in your life to realize how special they are? And how hard will you fight to regain that love?
Can Grace overcome her indecisiveness, confident in the love she and Kyle share, knowing they are meant to be together? And is love really enough?
Book two in this series is focused mainly about Grace and Kyle. They have been off and on since high school. Their story is sweet and it takes something tragic to see they what their future holds. This is a cute story, but at time confusing to me. There is a great story line and great characters that i can relate to, but i didnt like how it jumped back and forth so much.
the overall story was cute and i really enjoyed it. I cant wait to see whats in store for McCoy.
Favorite Line or Quote: ... he wrapped his muscled arms around me and started to kiss me deeper. He pulled back for just a minute and started to laugh when he looked down. Oh My God, my boob was hanging out! I was so embarrassed. "Don't look Kyle!" I tried to shove it back into my top and he had not taken his eyes off me yet. He was damn near drooling. "Too late Grace. Nothing to be ashamed of. You have a beautiful body and I damn sure will look when I get a chance. Maybe, I should change my nickname for you to sweet tits.". ~~~ Grace and Kyle.
NADBB once again had the pleasure of reviewing Ms. Brooklyn Taylor's 2nd book in the Forever Series Endless Affinity. So... without further ado I will give you my honest opinion of this sequel. Now.. to be warned if you read Eternal Soul mates then you know where this is headed (and not the story.. the subject matter). Endless Affinity is a story of struggle, survival, abuse, love and life.

Review
The Good: The book picks up right where Eternal Soul mates left off. Plus, it doesn't just discard Ashlynn and Cooper or McKoy and Beau. They still make an appearance without taking away from Grace and Kyle. This book gives you all the elements you want in a story. Heartbreak, struggle, a good "ass whoopin." (I mean who doesn't like a good fight right? lol) But much like Eternal Soul mates it also touch on serious matters as well (I will NOT give spoilers.... read the book!). You really feel for Grace and understand her hardships with her relationship with Kyle, but at the same time want to shake her and make her see he's a good man. With Kyle you too understand where he's coming from but also want him to grow up a little. Make him see that in the real world life is not all silver platters and snapping your fingers. It's hard work.
The Bad:
1. My only two bads about this book.... Aiden and Mr. Chandler!! (again... read the book! lol) I was not happy that they did not get their justice!
2. I also did not like that McKoy and Beau... well... i didn't like their lead in to what I hope will be an amazing third book...
In my closing of his review I will say that Ms. Brooklyn Taylor.... You did it again. The pressure is on with third installment. I can't wait to read it and hopefully get the pleasure of reviewing it as well. A warning is in order for all who read this series... if you can't handle serious subject matters then this series is NOT for you. However, you will be missing out on great love stories. This book will definitely piss you off, anger you, make you cry, break your heart, make you laugh, and sign in contentment...
Endless Affinity is the second book in Brooklyn Taylor's Forever series, but this book can be read as a standalone. I had never read anything by Brooklyn Taylor before this one, and I didn't have any real problems understanding what was going on in this book. I will say that while this one can be read as a standalone, I think that a lot would be gained by reading these books in order. I was surprised to find out that not only do we get the story of Grace and Kyle and their POVs, but we also get those of their friends as well. While there were things I liked about this one, there were also a few things that didn't work for me personally.
Grace Ingram and Kyle Chandler have been together off and on for years. While they might have broken up a few times, they always knew that the love they shared was it for them. Grace had always felt that she was never good enough for the lifestyle in which Kyle was raised. She is a hard worker that prefers to spend her days working in her dad's shop underneath the hood of a car. She grew up blue collar and would work even if she didn't need to, which is why it bothers her that Kyle hasn't had to work for anything in his life besides her. Growing up going to Country Clubs and having everything provided for him, Kyle has never had to put much effort into anything. He never lacked for girls before Grace, but he knew that she was worth the effort. After years of dating he is ready to take things to the next level and wants his ring on Grace's finger so they can start their family. But Grace isn't convinced that they can make a relationship work forever if they don't see eye to eye on important issues like their careers. Can Kyle convince Grace that they are meant to be and can get past anything as long as they are together? And what happens when there are those that would stand in their way?
I liked and disliked both Kyle and Grace. While Grace was strong and independent and had a great work ethic, I felt like she also judged Kyle a bit harshly. She didn't really give him a chance to make something of himself, and I felt like she was kind of being a reverse snob. With the exception of Kyle's father, it didn't matter to Kyle or his family how she had been raised or where she came from. If it didn't matter to him, I don't see why it was such a big deal to her. If she really trusted in him and the love between them it shouldn't have been such a big deal to her. I did like that was so smart though and that she wasn't your typical girly girl. It was nice to see such a different and refreshing character. I thought that Kyle didn't really give Grace the chance to make things right when she screwed up and tended to jump to conclusions. It really bothered me that he would do what he did without even talking to her and seeing where things stood between them first. I think that her actions were horrible and she should have supported him more in his time of need, but he absolutely handled things poorly and caused a chain of events that easily could have been avoided. I thought that they had so much history though and you could really see the love between them. I guess that's why it bothered me so much when they both screwed up so badly!
Overall, I liked Kyle and Grace together and I thought that they were perfect for one another. They might have screwed things up a few times, but I was glad to see that they never really gave up on the other. They fought for one another and that was what really mattered. My biggest complaint with this story is that I felt like the majority of it wasn't really about Kyle and Grace at all. I felt like there was too much going on and their story almost seemed to be a side plot because of all the stuff with their friends. While it was nice to see everything happening around them, I felt like it really took away from Kyle and Grace's story. I often times got confused between the constant switching of POVs between characters as well as the jumps in time back and forth. It really didn't work for me, and I felt like that is what made the difference between this being an okay story and what could have been a great story. I will look for more from Brooklyn Taylor in the future, because despite the issues I had I did like the story and the characters. I just thought that for me personally this one could have used some work.
I am going to do a joint review for these books. I was gifted copies of the books for an honest review..
I was told that could read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them in order. I became confused when trying to read as standalone without the background from the other books.
So these are the stories of 3 friends since childhood and the men that capture their hearts. Starting with Ashlynn and Cooper. Cooper is a police detective and Ashlynn is a social worker and works in a domestic violence shelter. She has a tragic past of her stepfather trying to beat her, molest her, and he kills her mother. He is in jail but is getting released soon. She does not trust very easily, except her friends Grace and McCoy. She meets Cooper. He is a knight in shining armor waiting to protect and defend her.
Cooper is a good guy. He falls hard and fast for Ashlynn and she falls just as hard. She is being stalked by her nutcase stepfather. No spoilers of course......
This is a very sweet romance. If you are looking for erotica these are not the stories for you. There is a hint of suspense in the books more so in books 1 and 2. There is a nice build up on the suspense but lots of asshats too.
Book 2 is the story of Grace and Kyle and honestly my favorite of the 3 books. Grace and Kyle have been together off and on for 11 years, starting in high school. They love each other but Grace is afraid of that final commitment. Kyle wants to get married and start a family. Grace isn't sure that she can do this. She has a past that makes it hard to see herself in either role. His family has money and she works for everything she has. his father thinks that she is a gold digger and wants them broken apart. She thinks his dad is a douche. There are moments in the book that you want to just cheer for Grace, others where I wanted to smack her for having her head so far up her butt. It takes a tragedy to make them both see what is really important. This book is more sensual than the first book.
Book 3 is the story of McCoy and Beau and Grayson. This is not a menage book, but you have to see the story of Beau to get to McCoy and Grayson. Beau is a major douche bag asshat. He needed to have something really bad happen to him. I am in fact upset that the little douche bag didn't meet a tragic end. Yeah, I really didn't like him. Grayson was another knight in shining armor. He was loving and romantic and sweet. Everything a prince charming should be. He accepted her mistakes and faults and loved her in spite of them. He wanted her on a pedestal and wanted to worship her. Every girls fantasy.
Each book had the love story you wanted to happen to you. Love, laughter, and friendship. I loved that about the books. The underlying message of that was great. We all need our friends and love in our lives. Kudos for expressing that so well.
That being said, I did have a few problems with the books. I like the continuity of a series. I like knowing what is going on with the characters. I however have a hard time with things jumping from a couple of days, to months later, to jump back to days later. This is confusing to a reader and pulled me out of the story a couple of times. I like seeing things that happen in one book, show up in another book. However they need to be the same scene. You can't make a big deal out of someone losing their virginity in a certain way in one book, then totally change the whole thing in another. I felt like i was reading 2 different books. I had an issue with the fact that one was molested and couldn't let her boyfriend move past things until they talked and agreed to give it time. Then, the same person is raped and weeks later having sex. This is a book and I understand that is fiction, but again this pulled me out of the book. I also have an issue with one of the characters being a dirty cop. He did not face any consequences for this. His partner found out and nothing happens to this asshat.
Brooklynn is a new author. She is getting better with each book. I know she has a 4th book coming out soon and I will check it out. I am going to give the whole series 3.5 stars. This is because of the issues that i stated above. I really think Grace and Kyle's book was the best. I love romantic suspense and this had some great aspects of that. The overall characters were good. The romance is sweet with some sensual aspects. ~Review by Kathy for Up All Night Reading, It's what I do.. book blog
First of all, I want to thank Book Plug Promotions for letting be apart of this amazing blog tour!! Without them I wouldn't have ever found this incredible book series by an AMAZING author. I also want to thank the author Brooklyn Taylor. You are the best writer ever, especially with the cliffhangers!!! Thank you for sending your books to me! You are the only author that has sent your books to me and I am grateful!!
I promise No Spoilers, but this book is full of twists and turns, especially the end!! This series about Forever Love and that is exactly what Grace and Kyle have. If only she would let him in. He knows of her past and it is one of great heartache and betrayal. Parents are supposed to love you, especially a mother, not get divorced and remarried to a disgusting pig! Kyle loves Grace with all his heart, but when his father is arrested he must rethink his life and wonder if he can forgive Grace for not telling him the truth.
This book is even better then the first!! Each person has gone through horrors that no one should ever have to face, but with the help of their soulmate, they will be able to have the life that they always wanted. It is truly a fantastic book that deals with real life problems many people face. Brooklyn Taylor has outdone herself once again. It is swoon-worthy, has hot guys, and the characters have a soul consuming love that every girl dreams of! What is not to like? Did I mention the HOTT guys? They deserve and extra T!
Next is McKoy's story! With that kind of epilogue, she has some decisions to make!!! As always Ashlynn and Grace will always be there for her and for each other.
Endless Affinity is the second book in Brooklyn Taylor's Forever series...and talk about a cliffhanger!!! Amanda Roberts is a very talented writer and her work is beautiful. I enjoyed reading this book very much. I liked Grace with her in dependency and her strength but it kind of breaks my heart because she basically doesn't think that she is good enough, not to Kyle who basically never really had to support himself. Even though Kyle (and his family) didn't really seem to care how she was raised, which was awesome. With all that said, I loved reading about this couple, they belong together. Last but not least, usually the hero and heroine love to steal the spotlight, they are both divas so you expect most of the point of view to be on them however this book showed you the pov of other in the story. Which was cool but I wanted more of what Grace and Kyle were thinking/doing. I still give the book 5 stars. :)
Endless Affinity is the 2nd book in the Forever Series and the first book I have read by Brooklyn Taylor. I didn't feel like I was missing something since I had not read the first book. Grace Ingram considered herself an all around hard working Texas girl. She had only loved and trusted one man, Kyle. The only thing was is she wasn't ready to settle down. Kyle never had to work for anything in his life, except for Grace's love. His life was different from Graces. They say opposites attract but can they stay together. He wants to marry Grace but she is not ready. This book was so much more than I expected. I look forward to ready more from her. I would recommend this book.
This is Grace’s story. We met Grace in Eternal Soulmate, although this can be read as a standalone. Grace is an independent, competent lady. She has been seeing Kyle Chandler ever since High School, they love each other very much but Grace won’t commit to him as he comes from a very wealthy background, where she has to work for a living in her Father’s Car Shop. With the help of her two best friends McCoy & Ashlynn, she has to make her head listen to her heart. I really enjoyed this book. It was very easy to get into & was funny & sweet & exciting. All the characters were great &it was lovely to learn how Ashlynn & Cooper were getting on. I do hope there will be a #3
I received this for an honest review. I have to say that this was definitely a refreshing take on the high school sweethearts. This is Grace and Kyles story. Grace is a hardworking Texas girl and Kyle is man with money and power. They have been on again and off again since high school. Grace loves Kyle but is unsure if she wants the forever after. The reason I felt this to be a refreshing is because more often than not it is the male character who inst sure of himself or what he wants. That is not the case with this book... A wonderful story for a wonderful series!!!
FANTASTIC! Even better than the first book. Loved Grace and Kyle together. Grace's personality is spot on and triumphant. Her quick wit and no BS personality makes for excellent reading. I love a strong willed female character and Grace is one of those. She didn't disappoint. The storyline, execution and suspense has you on the edge of your seat and begging for a third book already!!! Can't wait to find out what happens to Mc!!!
What happens once your soul-mate and best friend since high school asks you to marry him? Do you just on the wagon or go explore what else is out there? Grace is the MOST stubborn women there is and honestly she has every right to be. But will she let the past dictate her future?
Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, I’ve become a big fan of Brooklyn’s! I have read just about half of her books and each one makes me more intrigued. She has easily become one of my favorites. She has a wonderful way of twisting the stories and bringing real life positives and negatives to the fore front. It’s important that this happens in many ways. It gives someone hope and more aware. I know, pretty heavy talk for a review on a book right? But it’s true. I’ve been blessed with some great insight as I’ve devoured her books.
If you haven’t read Eternal Soulmate yet, read that first! I mean you don’t necessarily have to, but it makes it easier to understand a few of the characters. Endless Affinity is the second in the series and puts the focus on Grace and Kyle. Their love story has complications, loyalty, low and high points. They also add a level of complicity that feeds the dynamics between not only them, but their friends and family as well.
Grace has never loved someone like she loves Kyle. They’ve been together for what seems like forever. They make a great match in my opinion because Grace is so independent and full of sass. She doesn’t deal well with idiots and bullies. Kyle is the ultimate ladies man and doesn’t have to do much to gather attention. Which isn’t always a good thing. More often than not, it causes a wrench in everything. Grace has also had to learn how to survive a lot of grief and hardship. She refuses to depend on a man for her well being. Kyle was born with the proverbial silver spoon set out for him and doesn’t have the same worries she does. Kyle could very easily have been a character that was a spoiled brat with over exaggerated tendencies. But for the most part, he’s pretty well balanced out. He has his moments though!
Throughout the whole book, you can feel the strength of the bond they have. Brooklyn gives insight to their past and what it is that makes Grace tried to protect her inner shell with everything that she has. She hides behind the sass and humor in order to keep everyone out of what she’s lived with. Her story could easily be a very dark one if Brooklyn had felt that was the right direction. I can so appreciate the fact she didn’t! One of the quotes by Brooklyn I love and take to heart is, “Don’t be a victim. Be a survivor!”. It’s true too, because how are we to work towards healing if you don’t step out of that victim shadow?
Grace finds herself stuck in the middle of a situation that can destroy her and her family. Her mom could really use a smack in the head for her stupidity and the person that she’s supposed to “trust” does the unthinkable and numerous times tries to break her. If it wasn’t for her best friends and even Kyle, she would have never have survived it. Her past helps you to understand her more. It shows too why Kyle loves her so much.
Their relationship has had a lot of ups and downs. But it’s what happens next that leaves them to decide if it’s all worth it. Is their love worth fighting for? If you love them set them free right? Is that truly enough? Like with her other book in this series, I cried. Not ugly cry like I did with “Finding Me”, but it was tissue worthy.
I really don’t have any negatives on this one. I felt like the story adds strength to the first one and it’s interesting to see all the characters come together and how they are able to really work together.
This book does deal with some tougher subject. Keep that in mind before you read it. In fact, seriously, go read the first book. Forget what I said before, you really DO need to! Also, don’t do like I did and read “Beau” before the other two. It’s meant to be a novella to come after “Unseen Destiny”. But, I’ll be honest. It didn’t deter me from reading them all. I’ll be starting the third book this week. I know that it’s so worth it and I’m curious to see how things change.
Once again Miss Brooklyn has created a series of characters that are relate-able, complex and worthy of our time. If I could give this fifty stars, it would be just enough I think!
Grace and Kyle have been in love with each other since high school. Both come from different backgrounds. Kyle comes from a wealthy family, whereas Grace is middle class. Her father owns a mechanic shop and works hard for a living. Grace is following in her father's footsteps and plans to take over the shop when her father retires. Grace has never been comfortable with Kyle's wealth. Kyle on the other hand, never acted like he had it. Yes, his parents were wealthy, he may have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but he loved Gracie with all of his heart. He planned on marrying her one day, Gracie just needed to get on the same page.
Kyle finally decides that enough is enough. Gracie needs to make a decision. Either they commit to a future together, or they need to go their separate ways. Gracie didn't seem quite surprised my Kyle's little ultimatum, it was just a matter of time before he made it.
When Gracie doesn't give Kyle the answer he is looking for, things fall apart for the both of them. They both make decisions that they will regret, decisions that will effect them for the rest of their lives. Once you ring a bell, you can not unring it. So they two of them will have to deal with the consequences of that. Will they be able to forgive each other for their actions? Will they be able to move past this? Will their mistakes ruin their chance of a future together.
When Kyle needed Gracie the most, he felt as though she turned her back on him. Things are not always black and white. Gracie may think that Kyle can't love an ordinary girl, but she is wrong. Money doesn't buy happiness, sometimes money can destroy you. With Kyle's back against the wall, he will need to make a decision that will effect him and possibly effect Gracie's future, if she opts to have one with him.
Endless Affinity is the second book in this series. I have to say, I enjoyed Eternal Soulmate, but I loved Endless Affinity. There are several twists and turns in this story, that will having you quickly turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. I felt the connection between Kyle and Grace. I actually felt sorry for Kyle at times. I wanted to smack him a few times as well, but overall I really liked him. He truly loved Gracie. I just think Gracie's insecurities of money may have hindered her ability to see that Kyle loved her with all of his heart.
I loved how I got more of Cooper and Ashlyn and boy oh boy.. The way Brooklyn set up McCoy's book. I am surprised I have any fingernails left. I am dying to see what transpires between McCoy and Beau..
This is Grace and Kyle's story. For years, their relationship has been off and on with many ups and downs. In this episode, Kyle is tired of waiting for Grace to agree to marry him. He delivers her an ultimatum : when he returns in three days from a business trip, if she does not agree to marry him, he is done....for good. So from that point on, mental churning, like a washing machine leads to angry and hurtful choices with their own consequences. Riding the roller coaster of emotions and heart versus head tug-of-war provides a delicious reading adventure. The pace moves quickly, unexpected events pop up and there is a dramatic, heart stopping violent scene that clears up all the mental confusion of Grace & Kyle. Suddenly, truth of the heart was clear. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.
~~~~~~~~~~Tasha's ★★★★½ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This story follows three friends and their partners but hones in on Grace and Kyle. Grace is a hard worker she works as a mechanic in her dads shop. Kyle is from a wealthy and privileged family all he wants to do is marry Grace but because they are from different worlds she keeps resisting even though she loves him . The night before he leaves on a business trip with his father he gives Grace an ultimatum, when I get back marry me or we are over. What will Grace decide? Will it all go smoothly ? What else can life throw at them ? Will love conquer all ? I loved this book it is the first one of this authors I have read and I now cant wait to read the other book of hers I have I’m also going to get Book 1 Eternal Soulmate (Ashlynn's story) although it’s not necessary to read it first I just want to now .I found the characters to be very believable and the book was very easy to read 4 stars a 4 ½ if I could
~~~~~~~~~~Julie G's ★★★✰✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~
I gave this book 3 stars due to the good story line. However, I am not a big fan of reading POV's from a few different people. This book can be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading book one first. Grace was a southern Texas girl who was a hard worker and set in her ways. Kyle comes from a rich family. He has everything going for him. Grace has to work hard for herself and everything she has. She loved Kyle deeply but will love be enough for Kyle win her heart? She fights a battle within herself once she realizes she is losing Kyle. This book has several different POV's. Great story line but I finished the book feeling like it could have used more!
