I…wanted to love this. It started off really strong, hit a snag toward the end of Capri's vacation in Capri, Italy, and then kept going downhill from there. There are a couple inconsistencies I couldn't stop thinking about—Capri and Jones were texting in Capri and then she gives him her number ~for the first time~ in South Carolina, and Capri tells Jones her favorite restaurant is In-And-Out but she previously told him going to Capri was her first time flying and there are no In-And-Out's in SC—and I wish I wasn't the type of person to hold onto this, but I started to not have a good time reading so I ended up hyperfixating.
Capri is incredibly underdeveloped and she has no fight in her, seems directionless, and has to be told exactly what to do by her sister more than once. Speaking of her sister, I am assuming she is next up in this series, but she seemed very unlikable and immature and had a lot of unnatural dialogue. Jones is this rich guy who's super sweet and generous and kind but he's also very boring and while he has a lot going on with his mother having dementia (I liked this storyline/how it was written quite a bit) and the deaths of his brother and abusive father, he is otherwise floating through life (pun intended) and about as directionless as Capri. There is also a…strange fixation on Jones being "masculine" and "manly" and part of me gets it, this is a romance novel. But this paired with Capri's helplessness, her helping him clean his house while she's on vacation, and him calling Capri dainty made me joke to my friend that this could be secretly tradwife propaganda LOL (it isn't; I am joking).
It felt like things stalled and there were a bunch of scenes that didn't stall the plot but didn't move it along either. Towards the end of Capri's vacation some of her interactions with Jones are glossed over, and then when she goes home there are a bunch of time skips that felt unnatural.
Believe it or not, despite all that, I actually generally didn't mind the writing/storytelling style. There is a lot mentions of giggling and smirking and winking, and hand touching, but those are ignorable. I think this would have benefitted from more editing and fleshing out of certain points, but this is an indie published book and I don't believe in harping on those things.
The overall plot and characters didn't work for me, but I think this could be a super solid read for someone else. It had the feeling of a 2010s romcom about a white lady who has a Big Bad Moment™️ and goes to Europe and meets a hot dude to have sex with. That sounds like a drag/shade but it's not, so if you're seeking those vibes, pick this up!
As an aside, I read this physically. The cover is beautiful and so is the art on the chapter title pages, but the text is somewhat difficult to read on the back cover and chapter title pages.

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with this book! I couldn't stop reading i just loved it so much! Their meet cute, their character development and depth. Their chemistry. I was so enraptured by it all. I did cry because there are some sensitive topics covered so please check TW. The lengths this man was willing to go for Capri. His patience. His determination. His personality. I loved it all. And I loved Capri just as much. I wasn't too keen on her mom, but Jones' mom I wanted to hug so fiercely. I loved Collie and Capri's relationship. Will definitely continue the series. Thank you to Grey's Promotions for this arc

I'm about to make a VERY bold claim but mark my words, this WILL be your top read of the summer! I know, it's bold but when I tell you the vibes of this one is perfect for your next read while lounging pool side, while at the beach and/or while you are on vacation. Also, this book is CRIMINALLY under hyped! No one is talking about it but we need to because the vibes of this one is everything you are looking for and more.
As someone who loves to travel, I am always a sucker for a book that takes place somewhere unique around the world. And this book took me back to my early twenties when I was having the time of my life in Italy. And let me tell you, Capri definitely was living her life in Capri, Italy. Which was much deserved after ending her marriage to her scumbag ex husband.
I gobbled this book up. I loved the plot. I loved how Capri was on this journey of self discovery and reinventing herself after being stuck in a loveless marriage. This is a story of finding the love you deserve after a failed marriage and how sometimes it's hard to accept the love you deserve. But Capri definitely had fun while accepting the relationship with a walking talking green flag of a silver cub that is Jones Archer. Now on the topic of Jones, this man is a fine wine. Once a life long bachelor, only has eyes for his golden girl. Ugh, I just loved this book so much.
I do want to mention, that you should check your triggers on this book bc yes there are some triggering topics. But I would like to say thank you to Indy for beautifully showcasing how hard it is to experience a loved one with dementia. My mother died from dementia in 2023 and I related to Jones so much in this book. It's a topic that isn't talked much about and I thought it was beautifully written.
Indy, this book is a BANGER! I need everyone and their mama to read this book bc it is so good! So if you are looking for a book with vibes to fit your summer days, this is the one for you! And I can not wait for Capri's sister Collie's book!

The summer adventures and vibes in this were immaculate! So idyllic and picturesque I could see this playing out like a movie in my mind. Indy’s writing was so easy to digest I just couldn’t stop! This is my first book from Indy, and babe, I was not expecting this to be as spicy as it was. 😳👏🏼 The dirty talk? The exhibitionism? The aftercare? SO. GOOD. 🥵🥵
Jones is such a green flag hero, and he was so easy to love as a character. He has his own struggles that he’s going through, and Capri can’t into his life at the perfect moment. Jones and Capri had a strong connection from the moment they met. Deciding on a week long affair, the two find each other ravenous for one another. Their connection felt so natural and easy to me, and I really enjoyed seeing these two fall more and more in love with each other. I loved that they just lived in the moment, and were so vulnerable with each other. I really loved Capri’s journey in discovering herself again after her divorce, and learning to love herself and to in general love again. Jones was so patient and just there for her in all of the important moments. Capri deserves to be loved by a man like Jones.
The audio for this was fantastic, with the perfect narrators! Truly enjoyed listening to this so so much. Sebastian & Stefanie were phenomenal together. Highly recommend picking this up in audio!

I had the pleasure of beta reading this book and WOW. Capri is fresh off a divorce and decides to say “fuck it” in Italy and have some fun and start doing things for herself. Jones is older sexy, experienced 🥵 and the perfect gentleman! (With a dirty, dirty mouth) Both of these characters have been through some serious struggles in life and together they confide in each other and bring out the best version of themselves.
The spice in this book 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
You get all you need without it being too much or over the top. Let’s just say I’m very jealous of Capri Meadows!!
Jones truly stole my heart and there are so many moments in this book where my heart just ached for him. This book will be added to my top ten books of all time and one I will definitely be rereading over and over again!

This was the absolute best summer read. The vibes, the story, everything about it - I loved!! This was my first Indy Valentine book, and it definitely will not be my last. Capri and Jones’ story was scorching hot, totally swoony, and packed with emotional depth and layers I didn’t expect. I truly have no notes. It’s one of those desert island books you could read again and again.
I listened on audiobook and really enjoyed the narration. Sebastian York can do no wrong in my book. He brought the MMC to life perfectly. Stefanie Kay is incredibly talented and handled the dual-style narration seamlessly, especially with the sisters’ different personalities. I can’t wait for her story next!

Capri & Jones’ romance was transporting, enchanting and even got me emotional at times! If you’re a fan of age-gap, vacation flings set in Italy, second chances at happiness after troubled lives and great spice, you’ll enjoy Capri.
I really liked Capri’s tenacity in the aftermath of discovering her husband in bed with her best friend. She absolutely deserved to find someone as infatuated and compassionate as Jones and their whirlwind “insta-connection” in Capri was so fun to read! Her past life experiences and the ways it impacted their romance throughout the book occasionally had my heart in my throat with emotion.
Jones is equally as adrift in his life as Capri, but for very different reasons. When he meets Capri in Italy, she is the breath of fresh air he didn’t expect and she opens up a world of possibilities for his future happiness. I LOVED his confidence, his protectiveness and his affection towards Capri. The man is soft & kind on the outside, but Good Lord he says some seriously hot things behind closed doors!! Their connection was instant and the spice in this book was delicious! He’s a man in control and wants nothing more than to worship her body. I love a man that ACTS LIKE A MAN and loves on the elements of a woman’s body that others see as imperfections.
Despite their “insta-lust/love” connection at the start of the book, I did appreciated the realistic way they had to fight for their love together in the second half of the book. There is miscommunication at many points in their story which might not be for everyone, but I enjoyed seeing them overcome the struggles and work through them in a mature way.

Then we meet Jones— a cinnamon roll MMC that happens to be a charter boat captain. I felt a bit of invisible string connection to them as they met and happened to keep being brought back together.
The audiobook is dual narrated by Sebastian York and Stefanie Kay. They really brought Capri and Jones to life in this audio narration. The accents and the story line makes this such a perfect summer read.

The ✨VIBES✨ of this book were 😍 I am obsessed with all things Italy so this was right up my alley.
So many things about this book was fun and cute and a tad cheesy BUT so many things about this book were serious and deep and emotional. You kind of get the best of both worlds.
Side note: I think I really would have enjoyed the audio to this 🤭
Right off the bat, this book suckered me in. It's not that I loved what happened to Capri, I just love drama in books 🙈 So initially, I'm hooked. Then we get to Capri and I'm VIBING. AND THEN WE MEET JONES 😍 I loved the meet cute. It was just playful and well, cute!
NOW. I hate an insta-lust or insta-love moment. It automatically gives me the ick and this did feel very insta-lust. But somehow, I was able to overlook how fast things happened between Capri and Jones. I guess I just tried to chalk it up to "girl trying to rebound and let loose"?? I don't know. Or maybe I was just swooning hard for Jones.
Once we left Italy, I felt like we almost got Part 2 of a book. I loved Part 2. I loved how complex the characters got; how complex the story gets.
Capri and Jones were such a fun couple. At times, I really wanted to shake Capri. She kept claiming she wanted to cope and move on but she really didn't until 95% in. I'm glad she FINALLY decided to work on things for herself but I'm glad that Collie (and Jones) gave her the push she needed.
Jones is just a swoony Captain 🤤 I loved him. I can't even begin to explain all the reasons...just know I do 🙈 He just had this maturity about him. He was a caretaker and regardless of the tough front he puts on, he's SUCH a softy.
I really enjoyed this. I loved the aesthetics. I loved the plot, the characters, and the ending we get!
I am SO excited for book 2!!

I really enjoyed this book! The dreamy Capri Island vibes had me hooked and the chemistry between Jones and Capri is electric from the start🥵 Both characters have been through so much and their maturity (especially his) made their love story feel so real, raw and relatable.
This book takes you on a full emotional journey through joy, heartbreak, healing, loss, and love. It’s such a beautiful second chance story about being loved the way you deserve. Jones and Capri are the cutest couple and I couldn’t get enough.
There are some heavier themes, so definitely check trigger warnings but the author handles them with care and grace.
If you’re into heartfelt and emotional love stories that hit you right in the feels, this one’s for you.

holy. spice. I was NOT expecting this to be so spice but like... not mad at it at all? The chemistry between Capri and Jones was off the charts explosive! This is the ultimate summer escape, it’s flirty, spicy, and set against the dreamiest Italian backdrop 🍋🇮🇹 ☀️Capri and Jones had the most adorable meet cute and instant chemistry that totally hooked me. I loved how their romance was a perfect balance between heat and heart, there’s real depth to both the characters and the plot.

This story follows Capri and Jones. Capri is recently divorced from her cheating ex and decides to take a trip to Italy for a week with her sister. Little does she know, she’ll meet a handsome older gentleman on this trip and have a one-week stand that leaves a lasting impression. But what are the chances he ends up in her hometown months later?
First off, this audiobook is brilliant—definitely pick it up in that format.
I loved this book and had so much fun with it. This is my first Indy book, and I can’t wait to dive into more of her work in the future. Capri and Jones had great chemistry and made me smile. They lived in the moment without overthinking, but despite their original plan for just one week, they both fell hard. Fate clearly had other plans, bringing them back together.
There were also raw, emotional moments and vulnerability between the characters, especially with the family drama and their feelings. I also enjoyed the third-act breakup—and seeing who was responsible for it. Plus, there were lots of great spicy scenes. Highly recommend picking this up.

Jones Archer and Capri Meadows- what a pairing these two were! They have the sweetest meet cute on the island of Capri… Jones lives there 9 months of the year running his chartering business and Capri, named after the island as it’s where her parents met- she is escaping for a week of fun with her sister after finalising her divorce from her poor excuse of a husband of 5 years.
There sweet meeting and talk over mini Jawbreakers leads them to enjoy a week of sun, sea and shenanigans together. Swoon!
Jones, WHAT a man. He’s is smitten with Capri the moment he lays eyes on her, he’s 39, works too hard, never making time for himself and has never been so thunder struck by a woman before. He works so hard to try and prove himself and his worth to his late father whilst trying to be the best version of himself for his sick mother. He falls head over heels and is the most encouraging and loving man with a filthy mouth! Capri is still recovering from her hurt and doesn’t let her guard down so easily but in a freak turn of events it just so happens that Capri and Jones are actually from the same small town in the US and therefore decide to be ‘friends’ whilst getting to know each other. Capri doesn’t think she can give her heart away again or offer Jones more than friendship or be hurt again but Jones is so careful with her at every turn giving Capri hope that there is love out there for her. Of course there were some incredibly deep moments, hot as hell spice and the sweetest of words between these two.
This was the PERFECT holiday read, and I can tell you there is nothing better than reading a book abut Italy, whilst on holiday in Italy myself! I loved every minute of this and ate it up in under 24 hours. As always, another fantastic read by Indy, and now- I patiently wait for Collie’s story!

Indy Valentine. The words I have to come up with to describe this masterpiece that destroyed my heart, yet healed it in so many ways… I’m not sure the perfect words exist. But this book… yeah, perfection!
Jones Archer, the genuinely perfect “silver cub” and Capri Meadows, the newly divorced blonde bombshell… two souls who were destined to find each other. Meeting the two of these perfect characters, was the beginning of the end for me. I was literally only 10% in, and I had to tell Indy that I was already so far gone for the two of them.
Jones feels like he owes it to his Mom (and Dad) to keep Archer Chartering up and running successfully despite his internal battles playing out… but the second he lays eyes on Capri in Capri, his life is completely altered. Truly - Jones is the definition of a MAN. He never takes without asking. He supports and loves without conditions. He never pressures. And most importantly he always respects Capri, and provides her with a safe place to land. Plus the things he does to support his Mom, whew..
After Capri’s heartbreaking past and her divorce, she finally allows herself to let go and say “fuck. the. itinerary.”. When Capri meets Jones, it’s like her outlook on life changes completely. It may only be a week together but she knows from that week what she wants. After returning to Timber Heights, Capri has to face the reality of it and the shock that comes with... which UGH 🥹
I can’t write as much as I want because I need everyone to READ and FEEL this book entirely.

Capri has had a rocky road, but when all roads lead to Jones Archer it’s hard for a girl to complain. Fun in the sun is just the prescription to mend a broken heart, that and a smoking hot charter Captain. Jones is everything she needs to heal, the road to HEA is a slow burn but the journey is constantly heating up. These two have an electric chemistry that is clear for all to see. The more they get to know each other, the harder they fall. Jones is a remarkably compassionate man, he goes above and beyond for those he loves. Capri has always taken care of everyone else but has never had that returned even after 5 years of marriage. Is it any wonder that these two giving souls are drawn to each other. The family bonds are wonderfully strong and add another layer of goodness to their story. It was truly moving seeing them come together to fill the gaping holes in their hearts. I really enjoyed their story immensely.

Capri is vacationing in Italy with her sister after her divorce from her horrible husband. She is ready to let loose and have some fun with the help of her sister. She meets a sexy older man who is the captain of the yacht they take a day trip on, and they instantly hit it off. They decide to have a fling while she is in Italy for the week.
Jones was such a sweet and sexy man. He was exactly what Capri needed, but they didn't want things to end. I loved how he praised her and appreciated all her curves.
Things take a turn when they run into each other in Capri’s hometown. They don’t want to dive back into a sexual relationship, so they decide to be friends. However, the more time they spend together, the deeper they fall.
I thought this was such a fun and spicy vacation romance. I did have some issues with how Capri reacted in the third act, but I appreciated the grovel.

First and most certainly this will not be my last book from Indy!!! I kept seeing this so much on IG and I caved in and read this literally in 24 hours. This book was very fun, very spicy and cute but also it was emotional and it does cover sensitive topics. The way this man was willing to do anything for Capri!! He was so patient and determined, and his personality was everything. Jones is the definition of "If he wanted to HE WOULD!!!!". Something I absolutely loved that Indy did in this book was accountability. I can't say much about it because I cannot spoil it but when a character did a mistake, they were held accountable and the other character had to work on themselves. (And it was not resolved in 1 chapter!! there was so much depth to it!)

The audio was incredible, the narrators absolutely nailed their characters and it was really easy to listen to and follow along with the story.
The storyline was perfect - a true summer romance between Capri and Jones. And this man would literally do anything for her, which made the book that much better. He was so patient, kind, loving... all of the things that Capri deserved after her sh*tty ex.

Capri and jones have a whirlwind romance in Italy after she divorced her husband. Jones helps kickstart a journey to find her confidence again during the week of being together. They go their separate ways until another fated chance brings them together again.
Started out so strong but fell flat towards the second half. I think they should’ve done more with the conflict with Drew’s character and use that as a time to see the character building of capri, …maybe he sees her confidence and tries to get her back?! Not sure.

This was a lot of fun and got me through any time I felt like a slump was coming on.
Capri is divorced (Eff her BF and Ex) and is talked into an Italian vacation by her amazing sister, during this trip she meets hot and sexy Jones and decides to throw out all agendas and reservations about relationships and just live in the moment.
Thinking she will never see him again, she returns to the US where everything changes again when she sees the man she left behind and can't stop thinking about!
These 2 were cute and hot together!

Wow!! I loved Capri and Jones so much. What ab emotional rollercoaster I was on the entire time. My heart broke for Capri she really had been through so much, Jones too, but the way he got her to really love herself again, be there for her, support her. Wow, he was one hell of an MMC. Their chemistry you could instantly feel from the moment they saw each other. The Spice was SPICY. I am so glad that Capri, in Capri 🥹, got her happily ever after, they both deserved to find each other. Jones really broke my heart, too, seeing him with his mom and trying to take care of her. 😭🥹 I'll never forget this book.

My heart broke for Capri she really had been through so much, Jones too, but the way he got her to really love herself again, be there for her, support her. Wow, he was one hell of an MMC. Their chemistry you could instantly feel from the moment they saw each other. The Spice was SPICY. I am so glad that Capri, in Capri 🥹, got her happily ever after, they both deserved to find each other. Jones really broke my heart, too, seeing him with his mom and trying to take care of her. 😭🥹 I'll never forget this book.

This was such a fun, flirty, and spicy summer listen! Capri and Jones had amazing chemistry, and their dreamy Italian adventure was absolutely my favorite part. The no-strings vibe made the romance feel exciting and effortless… until feelings got involved, of course.
Sebastian York and Stefanie Kay nailed the narration—their voices added so much charm and heat.
In the ending, Capri lost me a bit with an offhand comment, but overall, Capri was still a swoony, summer read. 💕 Jones Archer is preshhh!

September 2, 2025I need to come back once I decide on a rating. I wanted so badly to love this but I just didn’t. I think a big part of that was the fact that I did it on audio and really did not enjoy either narrator. I also really, really disliked the 3rd act breakup. I’m not a third act hater by any means, but this one didn’t work for me and actually made me angry.
