Daisy Conner has a new boyfriend just in time for her family's vacation.
He's sexy, confident, smart, and everything a woman would want.
She has only one problem.
He's not really her boyfriend.
Blake Ryder volunteered to go with Daisy to a remote mountain lodge to spend Valentine's Day. He agreed to pose as her boyfriend, no strings attached.
What Daisy doesn't know, can't hurt her, right? Except Blake has been watching her for weeks, itching to get close to her. He will do anything to spend a weekend with her, even if it means he has to lie. The second Blake reveals his true intentions, Daisy finds she can't resist him.

Fake Hearts and Kisses is the first book in the "Fake" series.
Daisy Conner needs a boyfriend for her family’s vacation. Blake needs a chance to be with her. So when he overhears her dilemma, he jumps at the opportunity to help. A weekend at a lodge, sharing a room with Daisy? It’s a dream come true for him. Despite the chaos of her problematic family, he cherishes every moment with her. But as Monday looms, reality sets in—this arrangement was only temporary. And while the weekend wasn’t enough, he knows he can’t pursue something real with Daisy while keeping up the lie.
Short, sweet, and a little spicy, Fake Hearts and Kisses is the perfect Valentine’s Day read. It’s lighthearted, entertaining, and packed with swoon-worthy romance. My favorite moments were when Blake stood up for Daisy and the tension-filled confrontations. The characters are well-developed and distinct—Blake, the charming and confident "handsome devil," and Daisy, the ultimate bookworm.
I highly recommend this to romance lovers who enjoy a little spice with their happily-ever-afters!
Fake Hearts and Kisses is a wonderfully addictive romantic escape that proves just how irresistible the fake-dating trope can be when executed with heart and intention. Daisy Conner is immediately relatable vulnerable, hopeful, and quietly yearning for something real while Blake Ryder radiates confidence layered with longing. From the outset, their dynamic is charged with chemistry that simmers beneath every interaction.
What makes this story shine is its emotional authenticity. The transition from pretend to genuine feeling is seamless, believable, and deeply satisfying. The pacing keeps the tension alive, the romantic moments feel earned, and the emotional payoff lingers long after the final page. Fanny Lee Savage delivers a romance that is both playful and heartfelt perfect for readers who crave swoon, warmth, and the thrill of love that starts as a lie and becomes impossible to resist.
This is the 1st book in the Fake series. We are introduced to Daisy and Blake. Daisy is your sweet pre-k teacher/bookstore associate that is from a very known family. Blake is your charismatic good looking ex-con now hacker. But Daisy has no idea of his past. He has been pining for her for months. One day while eavesdropping at the coffee shop he is given a great opportunity. Daisy is complaining to her best friend about having to go to another family gathering single and having to deal with her family’s questions. Blake inserts himself and tells her he will be her fake boyfriend. This story involves what happens over that short 2 day weekend. It pulls you in with the plot and cliffhanger at the end. The spice is spicy. I can’t wait to get started on book 2 immediately!
I left this review on Amazon however, I thought it would be good to leave one here also.
I love this trope. The book was completely adorable, with just enough steam to keep it from being too Hallmark-y. Short, sweet and too the point this book hit all the right feels. My only complaint is that I'm sure there is more to the story and I'm impatient to for book two to come out. If there is a book two. Please tell me there is a book two! The female MC is typical for this trope but the author did a good job of keeping her from being trite. She's quirky and cute. I giggled and awww'd a few times, so all in all a satisfying read.
This is a typical love story under Spice & SMUT sub-category. Don't let the cover fool you! Blake and Daisy are polar opposites, but the attraction can't be ignored. Fake boyfriend plot, sexual pull despite being so very different, and then the evaluation of their relationship after forced proximity are some of the tried and tested tropes that work. It is a short read with more than enough spicy scenes to cater to the romance genre readers.
Who wouldn’t want Blake? I loved it! It was five stars all the way until the very abrupt ending. Great easy fun read. This book will be reread and staying in my library. I’m excited to have found this author. Will now look out for more of her books. Hope there is another part out there or coming soon. Love the plot characters and writing style.
Blake is a bad boy trying to be good. Daisy is a good girl with a naughty side just below the surface. They are perfect for each other, but the plan is just to be fake friends for her family gathering. It has a "holiday-date" plot line that heats up when they just can't seem to keep their hands off of one another.
I am impressed how a book this short checked all the boxes, plot, character build, smut, and emotionally charged relationship. I’ll be devouring the rest of these.
Blake, the secretive bad boy, sexy as heck, protective, and attentive. What starts out as a curious obsession morphs into something confusingly deeper for him.
Daisy, sweet, all natural, tired of being the butt of her families bordering bullyish jokes decided to put logic aside to bring a fake boyfriend to the family vacation.
What starts with boundaries in place soon becomes crossed lines, deliciously I might add, and mixed messages and emotions.
It’s a must read, but be ready because you will want them all!
"Fake Hearts & Kisses" is a delightful romance about Daisy and Blake who enter a fake relationship that unexpectedly turns real. With witty dialogue and relatable characters, the story explores themes of authenticity and self-discovery. A charming and engaging read for fans of contemporary romance!
I love this! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Daisy and Blake just meet each other and begin an arrangement. He helps her at a family gathering posing as her boyfriend. He didn’t say how he had been watching her leading up to their meeting. This was so fun to read and now I’m hooked.
The entire story was intriguing and interesting. I want the entire story... This is the first book I have read of hers and it was GREAT! A few typos and needs to be edited but all and all a great read.
Daisy and Blake's cute and fun loving. I wish this tale was much longer. I was thinking about writing a novella, but I write and hard. But, fake hearts and kisses was an amazing tale.
I liked this book, a lot but at the same time it just feels incomplete, like where is the ending? To me, that wasn't the ending at all. I liked Daisy, always taking crap from her family but loving them anyway, that takes guts. And Blake was so sweet and in love with her, God, loved him
It is hot in here. I love the two protagonist. The sexual tension and the breaking of that said tension is mind blowing. So sexy! I can’t wait to read more about this couple. I need some iced water. Hehe
This is my first time reading this author, and it probably won’t be my last. The writing is strong and the plot line is engaging. Definitely a page turner that keeps you up at night.
I can't say enough about the pacing of this book! Perfect! Such a fun read and a great lead-in to the series. I can not wait to read more! Character details are handed out in masterful doses to create real intrigue about Blake and Daisy. I'm diving into book two right now...
I'm always amazed with the intrigue within the plot twists. I want that even more than I want an HEA. Not to mention, this was a quick, short, and to the point read. Off to read more.
I was confused the first chapter but then it went away. It was a short and nice story for the first book and I loved it. I immediately loved Blake within the first few chapters. I especially love how we learn a bit more about Blake and such later in.
This was such a fun read an had me laughing out loud by the end of the first chapter! I've been in dark books and needed a breather and this was so light and smutty, I enjoyed!
I devoured this book. I was hooked from the first page. I was definitely left wanting more when I finished this novella. The characters are so intriguing. The spice is “chef’s kiss” 5/5. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Absolutely love this book. Ever since I started reading I cannot seem to put it down. It’s a perfect short read. I picked it as a pallet cleanser and now I’m binging the series ❤️
Absolutely loved this book. Love Daisy and Blake and the story line. such a great valentines short story to read. Can't wait to see what happens along their journey.
Fake Hearts and Kisses is a short, spicy romance which is a cute read, but still deals with serious issues.
In Fake Hearts and Kisses readers are introduced to Daisy, who is a bookworm that doesn’t quite fit in with her family. There are allusions to past hurt Daisy was subjected to, but no big backstory yet. However, her past hurts, both romantic and familial, have clearly influenced Daisy and how she views relationships.
Blake also has secrets of us own, but is so taken with Daisy that he is willing to do and agree to anything to be around her. His past mistakes are more clearly explained, however both Daisy and Blake have good character development. I like the banter between the two of them and how Blake comes to Daisy’s defence against her family, who are very problematic in their treatment of Daisy.
I’m interested in continuing this series because I’m invested in learning more of the backstories of both Daisy and Blake. Do they end up forging a real relationship? Will Blake be able to show Daisy the great person she is, despite her toxic family always belittling her?
