Jeremiah Young has been Callie Lewis’s full-on crush from the time she was a freshman in high school and he tutored her in Math, now they are both grown ups trying to find their way in the world. Can she convince herself he is her Forever Kind of Cowboy before he walks away? Jeremiah does the finances for Thunder Ridge. He’s managed to build quite a little nest egg for himself and his family over the last few years with smart investments, but he wants to make sure he can take care of a family before he puts his feet in that pool. Callie has been a friend all these years so when did she grow up to be a gorgeous woman? Can two stubborn, individualistic people come together to build a lifetime of love or will their pride and goals get in the way of a forever kind of love?
Sandy Sullivan is a romance author, who, when not writing, spends her time with her husband Shaun on their farm in middle Tennessee. She loves to ride her horses, play with their dogs and relax on the porch, enjoying the rolling hills of her home south of Nashville. County music is a passion of hers and she loves to listen to it while she writes.
She is an avid reader of romance novels and enjoys reading Nora Roberts, Jude Deveraux and Susan Wiggs. Finding new authors and delving into something different helps feed the need for literature. A registered nurse by education, she loves to help people and spread the enjoyment of romance to those around her with her novels. She loves cowboys so you'll find many of her novels have sexy men in tight jeans and cowboy boots
Oh Callie I loved you, you were always shocking the s*** out of us, "I'm not a virgin, you know. I've been around a bit. Dabbled in some bondage. Nipple clamps, rope work, dildos...that kind of thing." He choked on the sip of his drink he'd just swallowed." She's also one with a temper, "eff you, Jeremiah Young. Do your guest. Get your effing rocks off because you aren't worth my time, you a**hole." Yeah half the book was me wanting to put my boot up Jeremiah's a**. But once he got his act together I fell in love with him. Callie I paid more attention to her in this book then Jeremiah which was strange normally it's the men I pay attention too. Callie just has so much fire in her and Jeremiah only knows one way to shut her up, "what the hell, Jeremiah? You can't just show up at my door, ordering me to get dressed up for you. This is bulls***! I'm not at your beck and -" He leaned in to kiss her full on the mouth..." I loved reading this book.
I recevied this book from the author for an honest opinion.
I love this series. The Young Brothers are wild stallions who find the perfect woman to tame their ways. Well Jeremiah Young is no exception and may even, dare I say it, be the most stuborn of the bunch!!! He is Mr. Player Player but he has his eye (secretly) on Callie. She is the town tomboy. She has greasy nails and wears baggie clothing BUT when she goes girlie, she does it WELL!! He doesnt think that there is anything there except friendship even though he TRIES his darndest to get a few glances at her.
Callie has been head over heels in crush love with Jeremiah since high school. She knows that she is not the "type" of girl he dates/sleeps with so when he asks her out, granted to make his date angry, she still JUMPS at the chance. Well Callie decides that she WILL make her dreams come true and WILL spend an "evening" with Jeremiah even though nothing will ever come of it. So she kinda puts the hard core press on him, which in turn, turns him off??? WHUT!!! So after a little conversation they hang out and watch movies at her house and ALMOST kiss......SIGH......
Jeremiah is floored that Callie has invaded his thoughts and he DOES NOT WANT TO SETTLE DOWN!!! SO he does what any DB does, he stands her up to sleep with a sure thing. WELLLLLL, Callie is not happy and goes to the bar without him after chewing his ear off about the stand up. Jeremiah shows up to see the guys falling down allll over HIS Callie...wait huh!!!! HIS WHAT!!!
So Jeremiah and Callie FINALLY get together buuuut typical Young Brother, he goes and screws it up by insisting they are not exclusive. Then he even says ,knife in the heart, they should date around........So friends Callie DOES!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! Jeremiah has a lot of mountains to over come but he did it to himself!!! Then when things are looking up, some family tragedy happens and it makes Jeremiah think about what and who he wants....CALLIE!! But waitwe have a minor dramatic twist and Jeremiah AGAIN is a DB.....remember when I said he was the most stubborn of them all???? SEEEEEE!!!!!!
The epilogue was awesome. I loved it and I love Callie soooo much. She may even be my favorite female in this series. I also looooved meeting Mandy. I am DYING to know which Young Brother his has it bad for!!
I wanted to like this so much. The blurb sounded very promising but was misleading in my opinion. I wouldn't call them friends. She had a crush on him since high school, he liked her too but they weren't friends, not before the book events, not during them.
For most of the time it was exhausting to read, which is a shame since I was interested a bit in the stories of Jonathan and Joey.
First of all I love Sandy Sullivan's books. This one is no different. Jeremiah Young I do believe is the most stubborn of all the Young brothers that I have read so far. Callie Lewis is a perfect match for him. She knows all the right buttons to push. I love that about her. We women have to stick together. LOL I have so many lines that I highlighted in the book but I will only post the ones that made me laugh or mad me go what??
Callie talking to Jeremiah. "I'm not a virgin, you know, I've been around a bit. Dabbled in some bondage. Nipple clamps, rope work, dildos....that kind of thing." I literally laughed & choked on my cherry kool aid at the same time. I totally could see me saying this to my hubby. :D
"Men aren't on this planet to get laid every time their dick twitches, but they sure as hell think so." I have so said that a thousand times when I was dating. My thoughts on that are we all have thought it. Men just want to get laid. Well, guess what? Women can be just as horny. However, we don't go around blabbing it. I just did, so the secret is out. Hehehe.
My favorite line is: "I want you to shut up and fuck me." "Your wish is my command, darlin'."
I have laughed, cried, and got angry. In my opinion if you never feel emotions when reading a book then you need to stop reading. I always feel like I am standing in the window watching Sandy's characters take part in everyday life. That is the best feeling. Read the book. It's so worth it.
This could’ve been a really nice friends to lovers, but these two have a penchant for being overly dramatic, and it was distracting keeping up with their mood swings. The story, outside all of that, was okay
This is one of the betters ones but still is written like the rest. I know it isn't Shakespeare, but change the format a bit would help for people that are reading the whole series.
https://labibliotecadellibraio.blogsp...

OMG this series just gets better and better....one sad note...I assume this series is over half way over since there are 9 brothers and this was about the 5th brother. Only 4 more to go :( I want them quickly, but I don't want them to end.
Sandy has become one of my favorite cowboy authors and I look forward to reading more from her.
This book had many facets to it. This was fast paced, a lot happened in a short amount of time. There was laughter, tears, heart twinges (this was all me) and the characters of course had remorse, heartache, tears, laughter, redemption, steamy sex and of course love. This was actually light on the romance, it had a few romantic moments but not a lot.
I loved Jeremiah but wanted to kick his @$$ too. He did some pretty stupid things and I don't know if I could have forgiven him. He couldn't see the forest for the trees there for a while and I loved seeing his jealousy. It was about time he woke up and once he did, it all happened rather quickly.
As for Callie, I loved her tomboy ways. I loved how she made Jeremiah jealous, it was fun to watch. I was also embarrased for her when she tried to be who she isn't.
Loved the characters, their banter, the storyline. There wasn't anything that I didn't love about this. Okay, well maybe one or two things.... 1 - it ended too soon, and 2 I could have used a wee bit more heat :) What was here was hot, but another scene or two would have been awesome.
All in all, a fanfreakintastic read!!!
This is a multi pov read that can be read as a stand alone, but don't do that! All the books in this series are worth reading and you don't want to read only one!
This series is like candy to me, I can't wait until the next one. I love the Cowboy Dreamin' series. Each can be read as a standalone but they are so much more satisfying if you read them in order. Ms. Sullivan does a good job of filling in the backstory of the previous couples as they interact with the current storyline. Jeremiah is a financial whiz for his family ranch, he's also not looking for a relationship. He and Callie have been friends since high school but suddenly he's noticing the curves she's acquired and how she dresses differently when she and her father go for Sunday dinner. Callie on the other hand has been in love with Jeremiah since high school but never figured she measure up to the model thin women Jeremiah was always with. When Jeremiah sees a chance to get with Callie he takes it, figuring on a one night stand, however Fate has other ideas. They laugh, they banter, they have hot sex, and they fall in love, but he doesn't want to admit that Callie is everything he wants. He decides they should see other people but hates seeing her with other men as much as she hates being with them. A near tragedy wakes him up and things are looking up until another blow from Fate. With love, faith and family, all things are possible and the road to HEA smoothes.
Forever Kind of Cowboy is the fifth installment to the Cowboy Dreaming series by Sandy Sullivan. In this story we get to hear about Jeremiah the book keeper to the ranch. Jeremiah is the quiet brother. A whiz at math. He wanted to do more than just work the ranch for the rest of his life. He wanted to see things and do things. Callinda works for her dad at the gas station fixing cars. She longs for Jeremiah but he doesn’t seem to see her that way. She lost her mother at a young age and really isn’t comfortable with the flirting and getting a guy routine. When Jeremiah asks Callie out she is sure he doesn’t mean it. But she agrees. The sparks fly between these two. I liked that they were friends first then lovers. Callie is the kind of girl to keep Jeremiah grounded and level headed. She is strong enough to go toe to toe with him too. I loved the sweetness of this story. Callie is a special lady and I am glad she found someone just as special in Jeremiah. This story makes me think true love really does conquer all.
Callie Lewis has had a huge crush on Jeremiah Young ever since he tutored her in Math when she was a freshman. She would give anything to get him to notice her, but she doesn’t think he would ever be interested in a girl like her. Then he asks her out on a date.
Jeremiah has always had a way with numbers so he does the finances at his family’s ranch, Thunder Ridge. He has made some very smart investments and has built a nice little nest for himself and his family over the years. He thinks he isn’t ready to settle down right now but he finds himself always noticing his friend Callie. When did she grow up to be such a beautiful woman?
Can these two stubborn people build a lifetime of love together?
This is one of my favorite series by Sandy Sullivan. And each book is amazing. I wish there would have been more about his health though. But other than that, this book was amazing! I love the Young men and their women! I am so excited for more!
Forever Kind of Cowboy was an wicked hot adventure with lots of passion between two good long time friends. Callie has feelings for jeremiah for a long time but never thought she had a chance. Jeremiah is concentrated on future, making sure he and his family is set for life. He has wanted to ask Callie out for a while and now has taken his chance. But he was only looking for a good time not long term like Callie secretly wants. After an family member has an acci, he realizes life is too short and he wants to spend his life with Callie. Just when their relationship is getting started, Jeremiah's health issues knock ten feet back. He refuses to be with Callie so she can take of a crippled instead him taking care of her. But she will not have any of that nonsense. She is going fight with everything she has to make him see that is strong enough even for the both of em. With help from friends and family, she does just that. She gets her Forever Cowboy.
Callinda has loved him since 9 th grade Her mother left when she was 3 so womanly way was not taught to her and the cowboy She loved did like women who were womanly She looked at him and desired him so much But would he ever see her as more than a friend Jeremiah really like Callinda as a friend but Here lately he wanted more than just a friend He wanted it with benefits..... But she was special And if they did get together it would be more than friends With benefits. Could he handle that he didn't know He almost loses his mom to a drunk driver He realizes what he wants and that is Callie. But then He finds out bad news and pushes her away again But this time she will fight for him .......hopefully she won't Lose him
A love that’s consumed her heart, but never been revealed to the man of her dreams, that’s what Callie has hidden for more years than she cares to relive.
But Jeremiah Young has never shown any indication that he would look twice at the tomboy mechanic. Jeremiah’s tastes run along the lines of tall, slim and exceptionally beautiful, so Callie knows she must move on, but her heart just won’t quit.
I loved this story of the girl who tries too hard to be what she thinks her man will desire, and the Cowboy who finally realizes that what he always wanted was right before his eyes.
Just as good as every other book by Sandy Sullivan
Love this series. All of the books I have read by Sandy Sullivan have kept me interested the whole way through. She keeps the story moving with problems and yet with lots of love and family. plus some great sex scenes.
