The Dragons of Kilve is a collection of short stories for a MG audience about a group of dragons, who are hatched from a set of dragon eggs and end up travelling on some wild adventures. There are 12 stories in total, each one following on from the previous story with some good writing style. It was easy to read and I did bear that in mind as I'm not the target audience. Nevertheless, I'm a real dragon lover at heart and this collection didn't disappoint! I also love the book cover of a dragon hatching from an egg!

The Dragons of Kilve is an extremely funny and mildly scary series of mini-stories about dragons. You are almost certainly going to enjoy this if you like dragons. It is easy to follow but contains a bit of Death and so might be unsuitable for really young children and people who get easily upset. It is a fantasy collection with an image at the start of each chapter. The pictures are slightly helpful with the story. It takes about 2 hours to read the whole book. There is some pagan content, i.e. animals and would be good for young pagans because it draws on mythology and two dragons learn some pagan values.

I feel that it is a good book and entirely worth reading.
