I stumbled into this from the title, which sounded more interesting than it turned out to be. (And about as accurate as the way it's misfiled on Open Library as Spy Who Tamed Me by Kelly Hunter. No idea what's happened there 😂)
That said, it wasn't half bad. She's beauty therapist Breanna (Brie) and he's environmental consultant Leo. He hops back and forth between Oz and Tasmania and they have a dirty weekend in Singapore (which sounded well worth visiting). It's your more no holds barred, both experienced modern type of M&B with some quite nice sex scenes.

The follow up book to 'Mistletoe Not Required' following Jett's sister's story. Brie is the party girl who wants her freedom. She meets Leo who also wants a no strings attached relationship. That should work but these two push each other's buttons from the get-go. I like seeing a strong female standing up to a strong male, and finding out the backgrounds of these characters. There's a lot of emotion there.

As always, Ms Oliver delivers lovely read. I like when two strong characters accept love into their lives and drop all their guards to trust the person.

Disclaimer: While I know the author personally, this doesn't affect the star rating.

Leo is plagued by guilt and a sense of responsibility towards his younger sister. Everything and everyone else becomes secondary to taking care of her. He finds it hard to relinquish the control and treats the young adult as if she were still a child.

Of course his odd habit of dropping all and everything at a moments notice to ensure the safety and well-being of said sister, tends to play havoc with his social life. Not many dates are going to put up with cancellations at last-minute or a basket full of broken promises.

Breanna isn’t the type to play the wilting wallflower. She takes what she wants when she wants it. She doesn’t however take kindly to the peculiar on-off-on behaviour Leo exhibits. Acting all hot and bothered one second, then ice-cold and disinterested the next.

Their tug of war is a lengthy one and their romance is one with very unexpected twists and turns. I received a copy of this book courtesy of Harlequin UK and Mills & Boon.

A control freak who wants what's best for everyone around him and a freak about being controlled by anyone else.

Breanna and Leo are quite the pair. The only person Leo has left in his life is his sister Sunny who was injured in a house fire years ago when he was unable to protect their mother and wasn't able to pull Sunny from the fire before she was injured. Now because Sunny has been accepted into a musical group, he's renovating a home next door to Breanna for Sunny to live in. When Leo meets Breanna, he's suddenly finding himself thinking about a woman more seriously than ever. But she isn't interested in a relationship. She's a party girl and that's all she wants for a relationship. Will Leo be able to convince her to take a chance on loving him and having more?

This book did have sexual situations. The language was clean.
