Bill Cullen is the Stage Manager for Seattle’s Emerald City Opera and a single father with a precocious ten-year-old boy and a thirteen-year-old girl who mothers them both, when she isn’t busy driving him totally nuts. The last thing he needs is a free-spirited costume designer for his new opera production.
Perrin Williams left behind her past to become Seattle’s premier boutique fashion designer. But Bill and his children see right through her defenses and into her heart. A heart she’s now very skilled at hiding.
This tests the fabric of their lives when they journey to Where Dreams Unfold.
USA Today and Amazon #1 Bestseller M. L. “Matt” Buchman started writing on a flight south from Japan to ride his bicycle across the Australian Outback. Just part of a solo around-the-world trip that ultimately launched his writing career.
From the very beginning, his powerful female heroines insisted on putting character first, then a great adventure. He’s since written over 60 action-adventure thrillers and military romantic suspense novels. And just for the fun of it: 100 short stories, and a fast-growing pile of read-by-author audiobooks.
Booklist says: 3x “Top 10 of the Year.” PW says: “Tom Clancy fans open to a strong female lead will clamor for more.” His fans say: “I want more now…of everything.” That his characters are even more insistent than his fans is a hoot. As a 30-year project manager with a geophysics degree who has designed and built houses, flown and jumped out of planes, and solo-sailed a 50’ ketch, he is awed by what is possible. Book four in a series set in Seattle. I encourage you start at book one. This is Perrin, the dress designer’s, story. Designing costumes for the opera is a new challenge as are the stage manager and his kids.
I enjoyed this installment as much as the first in series. The emotional story and the technical bits about the opera and costume were all satisfying. Perrin truly deserves her HEA.
Perrin is one of my favorite characters in this series. With her horrible years before 18 she overcame those years and is amazing. Bill was a godsend as well as Joshua and Tamara. The friendship of Cassidy , Jo, Perrin and now Maria is something special and you don’t see everyday.
This is the third book in the series, though it works well as a stand alone. The hero is a widower with two pre-teens. The heroine is a clothes designer who hides an abusive past behind a madcap shield. Their journey is measured and deeply felt, forging a path to a hard won and believable HEA. I've enjoyed this series, though I think I missed a novella along the way. Good reads!
