But when the gorgeous playboy convinces her to pose as his girlfriend, she might be the one who needs protecting, as their passionate charade quickly becomes all too real.

A gambler in the game of life, Gunner has made his fortune playing for the greatest prizes. The last thing he needs during this tournament is a bodyguard hanging around, especially one as alluring as Trinity. And being together 24/7 just tripled their odds of falling for one another. WOW! What a captivating page turner!

First, I was absolutely fascinated by the Poker Tournament and how wealthy Gunnar was because of it. But when someone tried to sabotage other players to get ahead, it was really shocking.

Trinity was a take no prisoners, female bodyguard and I really loved that! However, when her job came between her and Gunnar, it was really interesting to see if they would hold on or walk away from the relationship.

Loved this new cover

I read this story several years ago. Although I loved the story, the old cover took away from the story. Thankfully, this cover matches the story in flyness, and the romantic suspense part exceeded my need to solve mysteries. To top it off, there were hot stuff moments too.

This was a good read. Lots of twists and turns. I learned more about professional gambling, homelessness and service. Trinity and Gunner's story is a great read. Love always prevails even through violence.

OK

It's crazy, but I kinda look at some of these earlier books as starter novels. I bought this book almost three years ago, and I'm just now reading it. A decent, quick read, but not too deep or thought provoking.

With caveats, Buy it, read it and enjoy.👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

What A Great Read. The chemistry between Gunner and Trinity was as scorching hot as the temperature in Vegas.I never looked at gambling as a professional sport. Through the character of Gunner Brooks,Sharon Cooper allowed me to see the skilled, controlled, concentration, dedication, that it took to win a poker tournament.

Sharon C. Cooper has a new fan. I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

Ms.Cooper you hit this book out of the ball park! It was a great book from the beginning to the end. The main characters were awesome and it always amazes me how two people try to deny what's in front of them! Each other. I would definitely recommend this book!!

Trinity Layton owns a personal security business and is hired to protect professional poker player, Gunner Brooks. Gunner is her brother's best friend and has made a fortune playing poker.
I like the interaction between Trinity and Gunner. The close proximity causes them to develop feelings for each other, which of course they try to ignore.

Guarding his body. Wow!

This was an enchanting version of Cinderella but with the unique addition of poker instead of a fairy godmother waving a wand. Gunner was The best Prince any girl or body guard could ask for. Very good read.

An excellent suspense romance novel!

Gunner and Trinity were arguably the most unlikely couple because Trinity is the little sister to Gunner' s best friend and Frat Brother Maxwell. When someone decided they wanted to make their odds of winning the Poker player's Tournament by picking off each of the top players one by one Gunner became a target. Lucky for Gunner Trinity was not only beautiful, she was also a kick butt former cop turned Tactical Security Agency Owner. Gunner hires her to be his second set of eyes during the qualifying poker matches and during that time they fell in love. Gunner was run down by the person targeting poker players and remained on edge until she finally remembered a clue she found following another poker player's attack leading them to uncover who the culprit was. His apprehension did not come before he attempted to run Gunner and Trinity off the road and narrowly missing a disaster Gunner beat the Perp until stopped by Trinity. The perp was apprehended by the Vegas police. Trinity stayed with Gunner who proposed to her after winning the top spot in the upcoming PPO tournament and now they are planning to join their lives matrimonially. Really great story that I really enjoyed.

It happen over poker

An unexpected journey to love. With two people who on the surface seemed as different as night and day. I don't know where I was in 2015, and how I missed this story of Gunner & Trinity, but happy to stumble upon this gem today.

As we are taken on this journey, we see two or maybe three obstacles that need to be overcome. Gunner's professional career, Trinity's aversion to Gunner's career, the past family hurt left by Trinity's father that lead to the aversion, Trinity being Gunner's best friend's sister, and more importantly the circumstances that brought them together, the threat to Gunner's life.

You'll be on a rollercoaster of a journey with the couple, but you'll smile, and be glad to see how the story unfolds. In the words of Connie, Trinity's best friend, go enjoy the ride with the hunk. If you don't then I'm going to believe something is wrong with you.

Love and Poker

When I first began this story I knew it would be good. I loved Trinity and Gunner's chemistry from the start. Trinity had certain disdain for Gunnar and his career choice from feelings from her past. I really enjoyed how they just connected. Wonderful read.
