Practicing My First Real Kiss

It is sad to think that these kind of stories are very popular amongst Fiipino teens. The delivery of every thought written in the book was very poorly executed. The feelings expressed by each character were very dense. As a reader, I wasnt able to grasp the concept of the story.
This book is far more worse than I imagine. From the beginning up till the end, the author was still not able to give the story more meaning and wisdom. In short, the story doesnt make any sense.
Frankly, this book needs more editing and improvements. It lacks depth and imagination. Even the title itself, needs more sense of literature.

Ya ya its already 2024 and just discovered this book through buying in facebook market place. At first I was actually curios about the title and the graphics in the book, so as I read there were some parts that eck me, like the scene where mars discovered the pictures that mark was kissing different girls but then forgiven, and the scenes where it lacks more explanation or background like sa part kung ano ba tlga ginawa ni Mars noon kaya medyo galit yung parents niya sakanya.
I know it was written in 2014 but still there should be more explanation kasi ang gulo ng ending part and kulang ng POV si Mark. I read theres a second book but somehow tragic na kasi mamatay si mars and may makikilala si Mark na kumuka ni mars but student niya.( based sa review na nakita ko sa 2nd book) kaya nakaka panghina na basahin yung second book.
So for now I would just leave mars and mark in that first book, kasi honestly it was somehow ok naman if ma improve pa and would not rush the story. Noong first nga mas bet ko si crispy kasi greenflag but then wala eh di tlga. Nakaka dissapoint lng tlga to read it then may cliffhanger pala in the end na di naman tlga na explain talaga.
Ahhhhh nakaka asar lng tlga kasi i just literally finished the book now and nung nabasa ko yung end i immediately search if yun lng ba talaga yun🥲 but overall ill just give this book a 3 out of 5 kasi bitiin and literal na kulang na kulang yung ending kahit pa may 2nd book i would not read it kasi ang tragic, and i believe kahit ganun naman ugali ni mars she still deserve a proper ending afterall she waited for him, kasi he made her promise.

First and foremost, I am deeply sorry for only giving 2 stars.
Isa sa mga paborito kong author si Ate Ciara sa Wattpad. First time ko rin 'to mabasa pero may mga likha na siya na nabasa ko na... Kaya nakita ko rin na maraming nagbago sa writing style niya. Siguro kung ang 12 year old self ko ang nakabasa nito, marami na akong nasabi. Kinilig pa ako. Ngayon kasi na 24 na ako, parang wala akong naramdaman the whole story. Hindi naman sa sinasabi kong hindi siya nakakakilig, siguro kasi marami na akong nabasa na book and I grew up, nagbago yung point of view ko sa mga ganitong story. Nevertheless, may storyline naman siya. Hindi lang na-execute ng maayos. Siguro nga kasi ilang years na rin ang nakalipas.
Medyo magulo lang talaga yung story ni Mark at Mars. Parang minadali, parang pinilit. Masyado ring cliché. Pero sabi ko nga kanina, sobrang nag-improve na yung writing style. Marami na ring naiba.
I do hope, may chance pa na ma-execute ng maayos itong story kasi sobrang laki pa ng chance niya.

I've read this book back when I was thirteen years old and now six years later I want to read it because I remember enjoying this book so much I stayed up all night just to read it. Now, I don't understand how did my thirteen years old self enjoyed this book because the writing style is AWFUL. Hindi ko natapos ang first chapter because of how bad it is. But I still be giving this book five stars because I remember how much I enjoyed this book especially that part when the MMC gave the FMC a pair of pajamas with SpongeBob print on them which I think back then was really cute.

Naku po! Ms. Author at Ms. Editor, daming typo ng librong 'to! Konting editing skills naman.. Dami pang kailangang i-improve. Pati 'yung characters ng story, parang walang pagbabagong nagaganap. Ang dating kasi nito sa'kin, parang ginawa lang ang librong 'to for the sake of...ewan, BASTA MAKAPAGSULAT LANG. Isa pa, hinahanap ko talaga kung saang banda ng librong 'to magiging angkop 'yung pamagat. Napapakamot na ako sa ulo. Kailangan talaga ng improvement. Pramisss.

As what stated above, this story started as a dare. I know right, it sounded so cliché,and I don’t even know what made me read this book. But I was glad that I did!
I was just starting with the first chapter but the scenes we’re already so sweet. Not too mushy and too corny but is really sweet. And surprisingly, it didn’t annoy me. All the scenes we’re perfectly executed and the execution of lines we’re great. The author really made me imagine that it is really Mark (main male character) who’s talking. What I mean is that, she made all those male character sounds male, and not gay lol.
I wasn’t fully impressed with the story, so I am giving it a 4 star rating. The way the writer writes the story made me think that she’s really just writing it just to have fun. No offense meant, but I think this story isn’t really meant to be published. Urgh, this is so frustrating, I don’t even know how to say it without confusing you, hehehe. Well, just forget what I said and just read the book. Hehehe. I think the published story seems better than the wattpad edition. Hmmm.
I don’t remember being confused while reading the story. But those simple things that could be done without complicating it were visible in the story. That one did annoy me. Oh well, I think that’s natural in every Tagalog Romance novels. And oh, I almost forgot, I was really dumbfounded on the part wherein their teacher is giving a love advice to the female main character. What the? Seriously?
Any complains about the characters? Mars (female main character) character is really crazy. I mean, she’s very tough and I almost see her as a bitch. And I somewhat like that, ehehehe. The only complain that I have on her was on how she pitied herself just to make Mark change his decision on breaking up with her (oh yeah, so sorry for the major bummer, hehe). And about Mark? Well, I don’t really like his character, and I don’t even hate it. Maybe I’m in the middle? Hehehe. But seriously, Mark’s character didn’t made me squeal for his sweetness unlike the previous stories I’ve read. He wasn’t that heartthrob for me. But I don’t really like how he acted like a jerk to Mars. Duh! I almost want to kick his eggs and scramble it dude! (so sorry for the mean thought, hahaha)
The ending is really depressing. I remember that I almost threw my cellphone (for I was reading the wattpad using the cp app) because of the supper hanging ending. And after knowing that it has a second book, I quickly murdered the search button.
The story made me laugh, fall in love, annoyed, pissed off, and cry. Read the story and join my miseries. The story is still open to read in wattpad, the link is provided. Enjoy!

It's really weird how cliche these teen stories can be. Insta-love. Kissing scenes. Make out scenes. Fast tracked undetailed story flow. This is how this book turned out.
I thought there should be quality before you get published from being a Wattpad story. Maybe not. Maybe it's another popularity issue.
I liked parts of this story.
But I always kind of wished there was more.
