Loved the artwork except for the very first 'chapter' (a little back story for Toric) where the artwork really wasn't for me. The rest was great, I enjoyed the story... but I did feel that this volume echoed the events of the series more than mirroring. What I mean is, in Volume 1 we got a side story that runs alongside Season 5 and gives a little more insight and new storylines to support and enhance the storyline I'd already watched. In volume 2, which is set somewhere between seasons 3 & 4 with a little overlap, it felt like a retelling of the scenes from the show rather than something new. Does that even make sense? It does to me, and it's the only real problem I have with it, because otherwise I <3 all things Sons.

A fantastic continuation and addition to the story. I was a bit concerned at the beginning because I was worried that Toric was going to be featured very heavily in the book (he was one of my most hated characters from the show) but luckily he was only in it at the start while they showed a bit of his back story. The main story was excellent! It took place between seasons 3 & 4, when the guys were in prison and showed us some of what we had missed. It explained what happened between Samcro and the Russians in more detail and it gave a better understanding of the events that lead up to the 1st episode of season 4. The characters were still perfect. The drawings of them were impeccable, the speech sounds exactly like them and each character still feels like themselves. It's just like reading an episode. The only small gripe I had was that there wasn't enough of Juice, but that's a personal issue and not a fault of the graphic novel itself. There'll just never be enough Juice for my liking. Over all, I loved it as much as the first volume and it just makes me so happy to be able to immerse myself in that world again.

Figured these are on Hoopla so let me read em. Finally got to volume 2. Any good? Well...

This story mostly takes place when the boys are in Jail. You know, between season 3 and 4 of the TV show. Samcro owe a lot of money to the Russians. Now they go after everyone, including Jax, and of course the family on the outside. It's basically like two episodes of Sons of anarchy fused into one with a little bit of a plot of another character for one issue.

Overall, it's pretty solid. The art is good enough to know who is who. Brisson has the voice down for all of these characters. It moves at a good pace. The thing is, it's just not amazing or anything new. Just a good episode of the show, and so a good comic. A 3 out of 5.

I didn't think this was quite as strong as the first volume, but still really good. The comic does a great job of making you feel as though you are actually watching the tv show.

We had a one shot story starring the corrupt junkie US Marshal Lee Toric, who was portrayed by Donal Logue on the show. The other storyline was set in Stockton Prison during the time period the SOA were incarcerated. The comic is really doing a good job of adding another layer to the tv mythology.

Fans of the show should like this volume as well!

This was a 3 star graphic, much like the first volume. That extra star? That's for Opie. 😍
Brisson's writing and story telling was more on point than Golden's from the last volume. More usage of the right words for each character. Chibs's "shite" for example. I could HEAR each character speaking and it rang true. I liked how the last few pages overlapped with the show, tying in the time frame. Well done. But this "art".....
After two volumes, it is safe to say that I am NOT a fan of Couceiro's style. He doesn't bring the characters to life the way that I have seen other artists do with graphics based off of TV series and movies. Jax looks like a Zeus rip-off in his 60s. He seriously looks older than the Clay character. Gemma looks like she is melting in most of her panels and Tara looks like a wide-eyed drag queen. He has moving, living models to base his sketches off of and he falls so short of the mark. At least he did a mild justice to Ope, which isn't saying much. The sad thing is, Coucerio's artwork was better than the chapter 7 offering by Hervas. So, overall the artwork was awful but Hervas is a "shaky" artist, the kind that favors a style that brings to mind, a strobe light, a seizure and overlay. Like, he traced a face and then glued the tracing paper over the original, but not quite lined up, giving a double vision vibe to his trade. Another guy heavy on shadows, with out defined details.

One more volume in my collection and then I can call it quits.

Fantastic story telling and great artwork. This second volume was as good as the first. Half the motorcycle club is in prison. The other half are trying to hold off a war with Russian arms dealers on the outside. The group on the inside makes a deal with Mexican gang members. And then there's a wedding. It's not personal, just business.

Beautiful artwork once again! Not one of my favorite stories, but I love the scene we got between Tara and Gemma. Wish we would have gotten more of that on the show!

Ok... Before saying anything else... in this graphic novel volume 2 I've noticed that they made Tara with brown eyes and Gemma with blue eyes. FOR GOD'S SAKE IT'S THE CONTRARY!!! Yeah I know it may seems a small thing but since I love the show more than anything this mistake annoyed me quite a bit!!
Still enjoyed volume two more than the first. Morte Jackson in this one!!

Said that I'll just attach the review I've written for the first volume to explain why just 4 stars and not 5.

I love the TV show. It's my favorite of all times and I wish one day to meet Sutter just to tell him "thank you". Him and all the actors have done a wonderful job in making us viewers love them and cry with them and suffer with them. The show has made me laugh, scream in anger and cry a lot and when I heard about the graphic novel I had to get it. I was missing all the guys sooo much and Charming town that I was desperate to dive again into their world! The graphic novel was good, but not excellent. I am probably comparing it with the TV show and nothing is good as it is the TV show but... The problem was that I didn't like too much the art style and I didn't get all the feelings from the characters that I was used to get from them on the show... Still worthy buying for all Sons of Anarchy fans and will definitely continuing on with the series!

Vol 2 was different then Vol 1 in that for one there is not chronological order with these editions but also that the story wasn’t a compete side story apart from the show. This side story is actually giving more details and different perspectives to things we either saw or knew happened between seasons 3&4 which is really appreciated. The first “episode” took me a bit by surprise and didn’t really track with the others but the rest I really liked. 3.75 Stars

Second volume was really good it gave you an insight into what happened while the guys were in prison and what happened between them and the Russians. It was really good but this didn't connect to volume one and that was a bit confusing. Overall liked it for the most part. Will continue reading SOA graphic novels.
