The sequel to the critically acclaimed Red Moon, about a playboy werewolf, his shy roommate, the ties that bind and a battle for true love.
Dana Patterson never regretted the simplicity of her life in Alaska until she moved in with playboy Connor Sinclair. On the surface, Connor is the darkly seductive owner of Vegas’s hottest new casino. But in private, she gets to see a vulnerable side that no one else knows about — and the combination makes him a temptation she isn’t willing to resist any longer.
After Connor openly sides with his brother Flynn in the battle against their unstable lycanthrope father, protecting family and friends becomes a necessity. Having Dana move in with him was the chivalrous decision; sharing his bed with her was not. Dana may think Connor’s everything she’s ever wanted, but his scars run deep, and he can’t bear the thought of hurting her.
But war changes everything — and exposes dark secrets. As Rupert’s true plans come to light, Connor must decide whether he is truly the monster his father created, or the man Dana knows is hidden within the beast.
M.A. Grant fell in love with the romance genre while working at an independent bookstore. She spent a decade in the rugged beauty of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula before moving to the mountains of Eastern Washington. When she’s not calling out to passing ravens or making a cup of tea, she’s writing dark and moving stories.
She is represented by Deidre Knight of The Knight Agency.
Blood Moony by M.A. Grant is the second book in the series "The Sinclair Pack" but it can be read as a stand-alone. (Although I think some developementes would be understood easier if I had read the first book)
After Connor openly sides with his brother Flynn in the battle against their unstable lycanthrope father, protecting family and friends becomes a necessity. Having Dana move in with him was the chivalrous decision. But for both it is much more. Conors scars run deep and war changes everything - so the question is, can Dana rescue the man, she knows is hidden? and will she have enough time, as war is coming and Rupert, Connors father is plotting his next step.
this is not your typical shapeshifter story - this story is dark, a bit gritty and the relationship between man and wolf and inbetween the pack is difficult. Mrs. Grant took the legend and made her own story out of it, which I loved
Dana and Connor were great characters. Dana is vulnerable but a strong woman and I really liked her. She is willing to fight for what she wants and stands up for herself. I could understand her and felt for her.
Connor is a Alpha hero with deep scars and a tortured past. He knows he has scars and tries to protect his friends and family from them. . I absolutely adored him!
Finn and Evie are also important characters in this book - so I have to read the first book as well
all in all this is a well-written, character driven book with a good storyline and I really loved it. 4,5 stars!
"Blood Moon" is book two in the "Sinclair Pack" by M.A. Grant. Connor and Dana are roommates and fighting their attraction for each other. Connor is finding things out about his past and trying to overcome his wolf taking over. Dana is being introduced into Connor's world. Connor teams up with his brothers to overcome their fathers evil doings. I have enjoyed reading about Connor and Dana. My favorite part is when he sent her a picture of the Northern Lights. I'm not sure if there is another book after this one or if there is a spinoff series, but I'm hoping that Connor and Dlynn's brother Owen gets his book.
This is the second book in this contemporary werewolf series by Ms Grant and quite surprised me. I have previously read a short story by her that was more futuristic but as it was so entertaining and I do love a shifter story once in a while I was very keen to see what the author could add to the heavily oversubscribed genre. I hoped for something new and fresh and happily got much more than I expected ! Dana is a teacher sharing a house in Alaska with her friend Connor. Dana may be quite normal and well ordinary but Connor is anything but! He is a bit of a player who never lacks for female company , he's quite a successful business man and has his own Casino in Las Vegas but he is so much more because Connor is a werewolf! Connor may be the eldest son but he was so cruelly treated by his alpha father that he cannot step up and be more than a beta wolf and he follows his brother Flynn . Their father Rupert is truly evil. Rupert hurt his three sons so much growing up that now fully grown Connor is plagued by nightmares filled with blood and pain. War is coming though and Rupert is determined to see his sons suffer for no longer acknowledging him as their alpha. Dana has been attracted to Connor for a long time and sees the man beneath the cad but what she doesn't realise is Connor and his inner wolf find peace when near her. Connor is terrified to release his wolf and feels he cannot control it but it's getting more difficult each day not to release it and claim the one woman he knows he can't have. Their friendship means everything to Connor but a determined woman is hard to fight off especially if she is what you really need! I really enjoyed this book and will look for more from the author. What made it different was the truly insane villain Rupert! Dear lord how could any father be so cruel! No spoilers here but what that guy does to his own children is truly vile. The past is bloody but he is still doing his utmost to hurt them and will use anyone he can to further his nasty plans. Such a truly twisted man ! Yes it's fair to say I really wanted that man to get what was coming to him as his actions are just deplorable! Rant over what did I think of the romance? Well Dana was a likeable heroine but I was a tad stumped by her total lack of emotion when Connors secret was revealed ! He is a werewolf but she hardly seems to blink at that no she chooses to react much later and for me that just did not work . Oh theirs is a hot romance and they can hardly keep their hands off each other but it's Connors issues with his past that lead this story. So in conclusion likeable characters with a few steamy scenes, unusual plot that really worked and a bad guy to boo and hiss at! I enjoyed this book and found the writing easy to follow and will be looking for more from this author . Four and a half from me I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
Blood Moon is my first foray into the writings of M.A. Grant and it was a pleasurable read. It wasn't an earth shattering oh my gosh when does the next book come out read.. it was pleasurable. For me there are millions of books that fall into this category and I never feel that they are 1 or 2 star books. They are a solid 3. A nice way to spend a lazy afternoon.
Dana Patterson is your shy librarian type (insert substitute teacher) who is living with her best friends brother-in-law for reasons never quite defined in the book. Maybe they both just needed a room mate.. Anyway.. Dana is the perfect friend and room mate, except she has intense feelings for said brother-in-law. Only he's a rake, a cad, a romeo with every woman but her.
Connor Sinclair is the older brother but BETA wolf and has no problems with it. What he does have problems with is his insane father who has spent Connor's entire life making him feel worthless. Even though he is actually a self made man with businesses in Vegas. And of course oh so popular with the ladies. But Connor doesn't trust his wolf. He fears it and his life is a constant battle for control, especially with the women. So any type of long term relationship is not really a possibility. Only now he discovers that there is one woman for him and he really wants to see where it goes.
Of course there are always tangles and twists and before Connor can have Dana he has to well tell her about himself AND trust in himself enough to believe that he won't hurt her. And once he decides he still has to deal with psycho dad..
I enjoyed the book it didn't have that WOW factor for me. I felt there was too much missing in the storyline. Maybe if I had read the first book I might not have felt as lost.. But like I implied at the beginning of this review, it holds a solid three stars. A pleasant read that goes down fast and sweet.

A werewolf must decide if he is the monster that his father created or the man hidden inside his beast that can win the battle for his shy roommate’s love in this emotionally gripping paranormal romance.
This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with suspense drama and romance. The well written scenes and details paint vivid images that capture the imagination and bring the story to life and the well orchestrated suspense and drama draw the reader deeper into the story while the strong compelling characters captivate the readers and ensure they read every last word.
Connor and Dana have both fought their attraction to each other, Connor because he doesn’t do relationships and Dana because she thinks he’s a playboy. But when Dana finally pushes things in the right direction, the passion explodes from the pages in a fiery inferno of hot and steamy, but Connor will have to overcome a lot of emotional issues to be able to accept that he can have a happily ever after with Dana and not hurt her, of course Dana will have to decide if she can handle Conner and his secrets. The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the drama and angst and the reader can’t help falling for Conner and wanting to hug him and give him all the TLC he can handle.
Spine tingling tension builds throughout the story as Conner tries to handle his past but learns some shocking secrets that puts a new spin on all the abuse the his father put him through… it’s a good thing that the evil man couldn’t tear the brothers apart no matter how hard he tried. But of course his father isn’t done with him or the others yet.
This story grabs hold of the reader from the very beginning and doesn’t let go, it has emotional drama, romance drama, dangerous excitement, believable action scenes and captivating characters. I haven’t read the first Sinclair Brother’s book yet, and it wasn’t necessary to enjoy this book and I easily figured out what was going on, but I will definitely be remedying that and I can’t wait to read Owen’s book.
This series is really getting better and better with each installment! The writing is simply wonderful -- fun, quick paced, romantic, and intelligent. These books are not just fluffy romance. They have some serious content that has me begging for more.
Dana and Connor's relationship is really one of my favorites. They're roommates (from the last book) and it is really great to watch them interact. He acts like the typical Vegas bachelor, she acts like the typical schoolteacher and together they explode. The sexual tension, the chemistry, the "realness" to it all made them just wonderful. We all know (or should know -- read book 1) the horrible history that these brothers had growing up and Conner was not unaffected. He has some serious baggage that Dana can somehow cut through. Like I said, I'm completely in love with these two and have been from the start.
The big bad (Rupert) is still lurking, so there was a solid dose of action and mystery from that angle. There were also some cameos from the third brother, who will hopefully get to star in his own installment sometime soon. If you're a paranormal romance fan who isn't afraid to have a HEA you have to work for, this is definitely a series you don't want to miss. Take a chance on a book that breaks from the norm!
I read the first book of this series, RED MOON, and even though I was never much of a paranormal fan, really enjoyed it. I expected this second installment to be equally as good but it totally blew my mind. WOW! The background on these brothers is gruesome and filled with angst and BLOOD MOON gave us this in spades. The almost haunted character of Connor showed us such deep emotions, guilt, shame, loathing, but also finally acceptance and love, for himself and others.
The story is dark and has some brutal moments but is evened out by humor, romance and hot sex. I absolutely love how Connor and his brother, Flynn, have this wolf sense where they can smell fear, desire, and a myriad of other emotions. The ties between brothers is beautiful as they rediscover what being brothers means. The romance between Connor and Dana is so painstakingly vivid, you can truly see their love grow stronger as you turn each page.
This writer truly has a gift and I would highly recommend anything she writes. I have enjoyed what I have read from her so far and hope she is working on more for us to enjoy. If you want to really 'feel' a book, I'd give this a try. However, the author doesn't sugarcoat anything so stay away if you want your romance fluffy and light. This is anything but.
Dana Patterson and Connor Sinclair have fallen into a comfortable life living as roommates, but when Dana steps out of her comfort zone and places a kiss on Connor everything is about to change.
Connor is known as a heavy drinker and playboy, but once he agreed to move in with Dana he has slowly begun to drink less but still is quite the womanizer. Of course he never feels satisfied after, until one kiss changes everything. Connor wants Dana in his bed, but he can't do a relationship his wolf is too frightening and he wants Dana to live. Not everything is as it seems though and with the help of his brother Connor begins to realize he might be able to live the life he had always thought was a fantasy never to come true.
Loved this one. It was a perfect sequel to Red Moon and completely different. Sometimes when you have a sequel you get the same regurgitated plot but different characters, but Blood Moon is not the case. Connor is pure bad boy and even when he begins his non-relationship with Dana he still keeps his wicked side. Dana is fantastic, a perfect match of innocence yet open minded to match Connor. Couldn't put the book down.
This is the second book of the Sinclair Pack series, but no worries, you can grab this one up and love it just as much even if you didn't read book one. Now with that said, this is one of the coolest series. Conner has officially sided with his brother Flynn against their dad, and this means now, he has a lot of people to protect. In that, he had Dana move in with his to help protect her. It was supposed to be for courtesy. It was so much more. Connor is a little broken, and has some emotional baggage, but Dana wants to rescue him. Does she have enough time to work through it with Rupert bringing war to their doorsteps. This series is dark, gritty, it's not pretty and yet it's hauntingly beautiful. There is nothing usual about how the author has made her shapeshifters. I love what she's done with a legend. The characters are well done, the writing is great. Dana and Connor are great leading characters to add to the mix. Adding to Flynn and the rest of the wolves. I can't wait for the next book!! 5 WOLFY PAWS!!!
What a great book. I love it when the bad boy finally gets it and starts to change. Got to love Connor Dana is a wonderful character too. Feisty and a good head on her There was a lot of growth, and learning for the characters, a wild ride. I loved it even better than Red Moon If you're a werewolf lover, this book is for you
While Dana and Connor's story wasn't quite as emotional for me as Evie and Flynn's romance from the previous volume, I did really appreciate the focus on a broken MMC who is healed through the new releationship, a twist on the trope which more commonly focuses on a broken FMC being healed. I appreciated the exploration of Connor's pain and how that built on what the author took into consideration with Evie and Flynn in Book 1, and I definitely connected well with Connor as a character. Dana felt a little two dimensional, but she still worked for me as a character.
I'm also impressed that this author managed to wrap up the overarching storyline, because I know so many are tempted to turn this sort of series into a long series. I was delighted to find I could get the added satisfaction of finishing this story completely in a weekend. Added point to appreciate, especially as I'm not a fan of long drawn-out series.
I definitely recommend this duet whether you already love the PNR genre or want to test the waters.
in the previous book Red Moon Flynn and Evie get together and this one is about Connor and Dana brother and best friend to Flynn and Evie. Both the men have PTSD in a way from the abuse they suffered at the hands of their azzhole father who is a wicked wolf. Despite the knowledge that Connor has female issues, Dana has is a room mate that wants the man/wolf for some time. Prompted by just she gets into a friends with benefits relationship that leads to being slowly brought into Conner’s daddy issues.
This one was fine. I didn’t really understand/like how they kept going back to Vegas… I thought the whole thing was he moved to Alaska because he CAN’T be in Vegas anymore? Also, the ending where she left felt kind of pointless. BUT I generally felt they had more chemistry than the previous couple and overall thought the book was a decent read.

🌟 ℝ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘: 4 stars - Really enjoyed overall, maybe had a couple meh complaints, but recommend to lovers of the genres
🤔 𝕀𝕞𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤: this review is for both Red and Blood Moon. I'm not typically a werewolf girlie but for some reason this duet caught my eye - likely because of the male narrators. immediately I was intrigued by the story here, brothers growing up in abuse and learning how to navigate that as adults. it felt like the story was much more character centered than werewolf centered, even though them being werewolves was intrgral to the plot, if that makes sense. I appreciated the character growth here, particularly in the second book where we follow Connor. I also appreciated Dana's reaction to Connor's wolf
which was to scream and shoot him
, which was way more believable to me haha. I wouldn't say this was a slow burn by any means, but the relationships developed at a much more reasonable pace than the typical "lust at first sight" (though there was also that). no weird sexual werewolf stuff, except for one hilarious reference to birthing a litter of puppies 😂 if you're a typical fan of the genre, this might not be as intense as you prefer, but it was still a really lovely tale of family, finding yourself, and learning to love yourself and others.
🎧 𝔸𝕦𝕕𝕚𝕠𝕓𝕠𝕠𝕜: both were great! I dont recall cringing at any female voice attempts (even during the spicy parts), and Ibreally enjoyed both books' audio experiences.
🌶️ 𝕊𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕖: definitely not gratuitous, not counting the constant string of sexual thoughts from all the characters. so when sexual encounters happen they are not out of nowhere and there's a bit of triumph cause the buildup has been pretty good.
🧠 𝔸𝕝𝕝 𝕀𝕟 𝔸𝕝𝕝: honestly, I wish this was a trilogy so we could get the POV of the last brother; maybe that will be in the works and just isn't out yet. I'm not sure how much more story there was to tell, though, so she probably quit while she was ahead and that's something more authors need to learn to do. because of that logic, I can't even be mad lol
