In which the great and redoubtable Mr Williamson presents the major historical periods of British history, and both the spiritual and war-like tendencies of its people, in an amazing (and annotated) tour-de-force. It's a great shame that this is out of print, as it's really good. (I just happen to have one, and until I'm actually starving, it's not for sale!) In the meantime, you can hear at least one, perhaps two, versions of Robin reciting this on YouTube - just to help you decide whether it's worth the money.
