Good primer.

Great info on casting, and casting technique.
Lots of good troubleshooting advice.

Scant and unsatisfying on flies, the foods they imitate, how to animate (or not).
Similarly frustrating on some advanced techniques.
Would needs supplemental material on specific fish; but the book is large enough without it - can't really fault them.

Tons of information on fly tying, which I skipped - when I'm crotchety, old and retired, maybe a revisit.
