I've read this a few times. It's filled with a lot of practical advice. The content was especially helpful as I was crafting classroom expectations. The narrative style gives real-world sense to the Love and Logic theories. "It's when I lose the empathy that I tend to say mean or threatening things. Without the empathy, I get bossy and sarcastic." p.15, "Empathy, followed by logical consequences builds responsibility." p.38, "Students who feel love and see you teaching with enthusiasm will open their hearts to learning." p. 78, "We will never have enough techniques to get kids to behave and learn if we are not first creating positive human relations." p.81, "Our aim: build confident, responsible, life-long learners." p.87,

This has many wonderful methods for great classroom management. It is an easy and quick read that will encourage you to build respectful relationships with your students, stop yelling and being angry, and instead provide logical consequences for your student's choices. It also lets you know that becoming a love and logic teacher doesn't happen overnight. I look forward to utilizing this philosophy in my classroom!

I loved this book! I plan on teaching PE and would love to incorporate Love and Logic in the PE environment. To me it is very important to create a loving environment to where kids feel safe. The need to be able to learn without fear of making mistakes or being made fun of. It should be every teacher's goal to build great relationships with their kids. I can hardly wait!

It was nice to read as a remind of why love and logic works well in the classroom and at home with children, but I've read better about the subject. I was hoping for more content and specific ways of bettering my classroom. I'll stick with re-reading my original book about love and logic.
