This is Sherri's second book. Published 2014. I loved her early impressions of quilting, and that she recreated her grandmother's quilts.
She's come a long way! Now her daughter is in business with her.

This book is authored by one of my favorite bloggers, Sherri McConnell, of A Quilting Life. She must be one of the busiest women on the planet, judging by the number of quilt finishes she posts, in addition to raising a family. I've often heard that to get a project done, give it to the busiest person you know, and I think that applies to Sherri. How she had time to author her books, I'll never know! Regardless, she has written a wonderful book that brings together 18 quilt projects, divided into two sections: Inspired by my Grandmothers and Inspired by Design and Fabric. The foundation for this book is finding and using inspiration for quiltmaking. Whether that inspiration comes from old family quilts, modern quilt designs, or today's fabulous precuts, every quilter can use that inspiration as a stepping off point to creating his or her own designs. I don't know if my first project from this book will be Summer Star or Century Farm or Sassy or Spools or Stars Over Iowa, but I know it will be fabulous. Highly recommended!
