Bold-print questions serve as headings for each page of information in this accessible and attractive series. Photographs and cartoon-style watercolor illustrations are sprinkled liberally throughout each information-packed title, increasing reader appeal. Comparison charts aid student understanding (in Planets readers are told that if Earth is the size of a cherry, then Jupiter is the size of a watermelon!). The lack of an index and further reading resources is the only negative for this series, which will still adequately meet the needs of the library’s youngest space fans.
