This book contains a wealth of information about the British navy during the Napoleonic and American war years. However, it's written for enthusiasts, not students of history. There are too many unexplained nautical terms and too many names, both of ships and their captains. The maps are good, but there aren't enough of them, and key places mentioned in the text are inexplicably missing from what maps there are.
