Wat is er toch met Benjamin Alistairs? Hij is op vele vlakken net iets anders dan zijn broers Oscar en David. Hij heeft bijvoorbeeld nood aan rust en slaap, in het weekend vlucht hij daarom richting de bossen en het meer , weg van prikkels en druk.
Daar ontmoet hij River een jonge psychologe die hem tijdens wandelingen weet te doordrongen en hem vooral ongedwongen laat praten.
Een romance lijkt zich te ontwikkelen of is er toch iets waarvoor hij schrik en stress creëert met haar?
De ontknopingen van de Alistairs komen hier tot zijn hoogtepunt en raakt de familie op verschillende vlakken.
Het verhaal gaat ook regelmatig terug naar de andere familieleden, je ziet iedereen settelen, openbloeien en bouwen aan hun toekomst.
Passie blijft in de relaties zeer sterk aanwezig en geven mooie steamy fragmenten.
Sanne van Ooijen heeft me toch weer enorm verrast met verhaallijn en personages. Ze laat zo mooi de wereld zien van macht, geld en status, maar eveneens ook de puurheid, gedrevenheid en rechtvaardigheid in de jongere generaties.
Ruby gaf de laatste ontknopingen, de laatste antwoorden en de laatste broer de liefde van zijn leven!

Ruby.

The last of the four, and probably my favorite of the them all. So much more depth and less predictable as the others were.
I really liked the story of Benjamin, it had more layers and to be honest he definitely was more likeable and more “real” than the other two brothers.

The way van Ooijen created a family bond in this story, feels like her signature as she did it very well with her other stories too.

Last book in the series and 2nd one I read in the same day. So captivating. It was a little slower to get into than the others and I felt the last half of the book was a bit rushed, but amazing nonetheless.

Jaaaaaa!! Gewoon een super mooi, spannend en passend einde voor deze super leuke serie. Ik hou hier echt van, genoten! Leuk om in elk boek steeds meer te weten te komen en ook dat er steeds meer verteld word vanuit verschillende personages.

Really good series

Throughly enjoyed these 4 books. The last 3 days I've done absolutely nothing but have a 'read' fest. Enjoyed the different characters, but would like to know Buck's story. How about it Ms Van Ooijen?? 😊
