What is darkness? Is it madness? Is it a biased term? Or is it a literal term referring to The Congo as a dark, eerie place. Heart of darkness is a pretty interesting book. I have to say though, at first, everytime I picked it up, I started to fall asleep. I liked the book all in all though. My favorite part of the whole book is the ending, when Kurtz dies and Marlow goes to see Kurtz's intended and finished his story off by telling her Kurtz's last words were her name. I would reccommend this to anyone who likes stories about imperialism. If you are not fond of racial slurrs, DON'T READ THIS BOOK!

Ok, I know I'm supposed to consider this book a masterpiece, but I just found it BORING, REALLY BORING. So boring that I had the feeling I was reading the same pages again and again. So boring that I wanted to open the window of the plane I was on. Seriously.
