OMG!!! This is my first Brittany Ann novel. But based on this story it definitely won't be my last.
As Lie for Me sucked me in and kept me reading long into the night, and who knew morally grey cowboys were so yum!! 😋
And the best of it is that was only part of what made this story so GOOD.
As Lie for Me is a romantic suspense that delivers everything angst, passion, emotion, suspense and characters that are relatable and likeable.
Not to mention I loved that hard subjects were broached. That the FMC was the one to destroy the relationship the first time around and that there was a real fight for the pair to get back what they had lost. While also acknowledging they are not the same people they once were even though their feelings had never changed.
And with spicy moments, hurt, mystery, danger, second chances and lots of dark, dangerous, delicious cowboys. This was the cowboy romance I didn't know I needed and one I would definitely recommend to all.

Live for Me is a dark cowboy romance that follows Beau and Abbie. When they were kids Beau swore to always protect Abbie. Until 6 years ago when Abbie fled Hayden, Colorado leaving a broken hearted Beau in her wake. Now Abbie is in danger and Beau is the only one who can protect her. Whether she wants him to or not.
this book really said, "you wanted angst? well here's ALL OF IT!"
i knew from the troupes that this book was going to wreck me. i knew that it would definitely become one of my favorites as well. i felt so much anger in one chapter, sorrow in another, and fear in the next. it really felt like i could FEEL what the characters were. all i wanted to do was reach through my kindle screen and give them all hugs. the amount of angst this book had was amazing, i cried AT LEAST 4 times. overall Abbie and Beaus story was amazing, the suspense and found family mixed with spice just landed perfectly.
I really love Brittany's style of writing. she gives you just enough clues where you think you can figure out what's going on without making it too obvious. just to spin you around and give you a crazy ass plot twist that makes you lose sleep to finish the book. i also really love how Brittany stays true to her characters throughout the series and them appearing in other books. these cowboys are all morally grey and this author doesn't shy away from that or sugar coat it.
i was lucky enough to get to read this book as an ARC so im excited to reread this again once its released on KU to pick up hints for more books in the future

Um first of all I’m unwell. Beau and Abbie’s story is something I have been waiting for. They both go through a lot to get to there HEA but it’s so worth it to see both of them grow. I’m so excited for stay for me ( Mags book). I love how everything is interconnected and they all look out for each other. I swear if I could live in this town I would. 🤠🤭

This was a 10 out 5 stars for me!
Hallow Ranch is a family, where there are scars and pain, a place of protection, and group of cowboys that love their women fiercely. Abbie had a bad life and Beau's dad took her in. She was part of Hallow Ranch because Beau and his family were. Beau was madly in love with Abbie and when he proposed he never thought she would say no.
Beau is still working at the ranch along side of his dad and the Langston brothers. He has never gotten over Abbie leaving. It's been 6 years but the pain still feels as fresh as if it were yesterday. Abbie is living about 3 hours away from the Ranch and she is a journalist for the paper. She still has not gotten over losing Beau and can't bring herself to move forward with her life.
Things have finally settled except for 1 big thing. Her stalker is back and was in the house with her while she was showering. She calls a bounty hunter her best friend recommends but they don't do stalker work. Word gets back to Beau and HE SHOWS UP at Abbie's place. She is going back to the Ranch with him for safety whether she likes it or not. It's time for the cowboys to step in and find this stalker that is getting bolder and more dangerous.
Abbie and Beau are forced to deal with all the feelings they have tried to push down for 6 years. Abbie can't tell him the real reason she walked out 6 years ago and Beau is determined to get it out of her. The suspense of their world will have your heart racing and you can't help but cheer for Beau every step of the way.

Yellowstone Show vibes and I loved it.
This was a very intense read! The suspense and the angst in this together just really made this a very addicting read. Also, just to note, there are the cute cowboy romances and then there are the holy COWBOY romances and this was the second of the two.
Beau is very intense, he is very much touch her and die and boy does he have a mouth on him- ALL the time. ;)
Then you have Abbie who is very strong willed and determined to live her life. I love the combination of the two.
The book starts out by Beau on Abbie's doorstep in the pouring rain in the middle of the night in his cowboy hat....... basically from that alone, I was done for with this read.
This is a second chance romance and I really enjoyed this one! I will be returning to Denver and Mason's duet to get more background on this read but you can definitely read it first. I really enjoyed this "new to me" author and will be reading more of her books!

Another excellent dark romance from an author that doesn't miss when it comes to delivering emotional and suspenseful romances, this book had me hooked.
This book had an amazing plot and characters that were perfectly written. Beau and Abbie were a couple that were separated by circumstances, but they had never forgotten their connection. They are forced together when Abbie seeks protection from a stalker. Being in close proximity to each other rekindle their feelings, and they may finally get their happy ending if they can stop her stalker.

How do I sign up to be the next lady swept off her feet at Hallow Ranch. Someone get me a tall glass of sweet tea because I am hotter than a Kentucky July night!! Another 5 star book from Brittany Ann!! How can you not love grumpy cowboys, sweet farm wife’s, a deranged stalker and a fierce MFC! I promise you this book has it all, including the spice, hot hot hot!!
This book doesn’t just take place in the present, you read how Beau was there for Abby since Kindergarten and he always protected her. Even when she left he poured his heart into the small town of Hayden and made sure she would come back to a sweet surprise.
Once I started this one I couldn’t put it down. I was so invested in who Abby’s stalker was and who it couldn’t be. I was invested to see how Beau won his woman back and how he will never let her go again.

Six years ago, Abbie broke the heart of the only man she's ever loved and tried to start over. She's carved a life out for herself but always has Beau in the back of her mind. Beau's struggled to come to terms with the loss of Abbie and has turned into a hard man, willing to do anything to protect those he considers family. He's content leaving Abbie be, until she's thrust into his life again and he vows to continue to keep her safe, despite how much conflicting hatred and love he still has in his heart for her.

This was such a ridiculously good novel. I loved how Abbie was an absolute mess. She was broken all the way through and punishing herself for her decisions endlessly. Seeing her in despair while doing everything she could to make the correct choice was so well done.
Beau was perfection. Surly, frustrated and devastated over the loss of the woman he thought would be his life. He became closed off and shut down the parts of himself that used to blossom with Abbie. Witnessing him fighting his feelings for her and finally realizing why she had to leave all of those years ago had me tearing through this book so fast. Also, the mouth on that cowboy was something else. There wasn't a lot of spice, but when there was it was filthy and fantastic.
The twist of who the antagonist was a little bit obvious, but still well done. I didn't mind that it was dealt with pretty quickly as the meat of the story revolved around their love, not what was trying to continue to tear them apart.
All in all, I loved this dark cowboy romance, and I'll definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

This book had me from in a chokehold the very first chapter.
No surprise that I have given it 5 stars but when a book literally keeps you awake and reading at 1am it deserves nothing less.
Abbie moved away from Hallows Ranch 6 years ago and has never looked back. Working so hard to become a journalist at a respected paper, she hasn’t stopped to ask herself if she is truly happy right he life she has built after the trauma of her childhood. After her stalker finds her again so does her ex boyfriend Beau that she left back in Hayden.
Beau doesn’t take no for an answer when it comes to Abbie. Once he learns her life is in danger, he stops at nothing to protect her even if it means crushing his heart again in the process. But once together, a lot of truths and explainations uncover that something is coming for Hallow Ranch and the people that occupy it.
Beau and Abbie both simultaneously broke my heart and pieced it back together again. I felt all of the angst and pain between them whilst knowing how much love was still there to grow again.
Beaus love of Abbie knows no ends and the way he protects her with his whole being is perfection. If you are after morally grey, Beau skates the line so perfectly. I cannot count the amount of times he shocked and thrilled me.

OMG! Beau and Abbie’s story had me in an utter chokehold. It was an incredibly emotional story from beginning to end, and these two pulled on my heart strings and had me laughing, and sobbing into my pillow. Once I started reading, I was so captivated and instantly pulled right into the story that there was no way I was putting this one down until the end.
Abbie is in a bit of trouble and desperately needs help, but she’s too stubborn to ask for the protection that she really needs. She thinks she can do it all on her own.
Beau gets wind of the fact that Abbie has a stalker and she’s in danger. And even though they are apart from each other, there is nothing that Beau wouldn’t do to protect Abbie, because she is the love of his life.

The banter in the story was incredible. It was filled with jokes, sarcasm, hurtful and painful moments, forgiveness, passion, and an incredible love. And let’s not forget the spicy moments in the story, they were sinfully delicious, and everything you wanted when one one hell of a sexy cowboy comes into the picture. He’s fierce, protective, dangerous, and an insanely dirty, filthy talker. So hot!
The story was amazing. The characters were so wonderful, and the storyline was filled with suspense, mystery, danger, drama, emotional turmoil, healing, and love. I could not get enough of it and I wanted it to go on and on and on! I absolutely loved it.
Abbie is in a bit of trouble and desperately needs help, but she’s too stubborn to ask for the protection that she really needs. She thinks she can do it all on her own.
Beau gets wind of the fact that Abbie has a stalker and she’s in danger. And even though they are apart from each other, there is nothing that Beau wouldn’t do to protect Abbie, because she is the love of his life.

This book was everything I wanted and more. I feel like I was in a constant state of shock the whole time, though, as nothing that occurred in the book I could have seen coming at all. I do love a book like that, though, so it definitely gave it bonus points, in my opinion.
This book follows estranged lovers 6 years past their breakup (if you can even call it that), and they end up being reunited in a situation that both of them would not have ever expected. Our FMC Abbie has quite a manic stalker on her hands, a completely deranged one which after her life was flipped upside down that's the last thing she could have wanted. And the way that our main characters get united is after the stalker had been in Abbie's home with her in it she put a call through to some bounty hunters unknowing that they are friends with her ex Beau. And as soon as he hears of this stalker, he kidnaps her himself and takes her to the safety of the ranch he lives on.
Now I love a good cowboy romance, but throw in past lovers, hidden truth, and to keep them close to one another was just bound to bring the two back together after all of those years. And once it happened, fireworks could have even gone off as well.
Everything about this book was perfect. It had such a hooking plot line, loveable characters, and tension and steam, which is basically all you could want in a book like this. With so much pain and hurt to love and protection, these two had it all. The mouth on Beau was melting me and ugh he stole my heart. So protective of his Wildflower even 6 years later. Abbie is an FMC I will never forget, the things this girl went through would break anyone but she just kept pushing. From having to break the love of her life hearts (even though she didn’t want to) to having a stalker and having all of her art destroyed. She did not catch a break. These two though love hard and the spice was amazing. The woods scene 🔥 Luckily they get the ending they deserved because I would have sobbed if they didn’t. I definitely recommend adding this one to your tbr!

Coming back to Hallow Ranch was an exhilarating adventure that I thoroughly enjoyed! After being captivated by the Langston brothers duet, I was eagerly anticipating the stories of the bunkhouse boys, and Live For Me did not disappoint.
This book easily earns a five-star rating from me. The unexpected twists kept me on my toes, making the journey through the characters' love story all the more beautiful and engaging. Beau, the dark cowboy with a heartthrob persona, is a fascinating character whose protective nature adds depth to the narrative. I loved how Brittany Ann intricately wove together the past and present, revealing how their relationship developed over time.
Abbie’s character resonated with me deeply; the heartbreak she endured was intense and palpable. I admired her selflessness and the way she navigated her tortured soul as an artist. I’ll start by saying I didn’t expect Beau to be so irresistible—or to have such a dirty mouth—and I absolutely loved the surprise.
Beau promises to protect Abbie, and he’s determined to keep that promise, even though she broke his heart.
This book has it all: love, broken hearts, angst, suspense, personal healing, possessiveness, and spice (starting at just the right moment), as well as a found family dynamic.
I really connected with the main characters, especially how they both struggle to heal from their pasts. Beau’s willingness to care for Abbie, despite his broken heart and her resistance, was touching. It’s easy to see why she doesn’t believe she deserves it.
The way Harmony and Valerie embrace her into their circle was so heartwarming, even though Denver and Mason are a bit more skeptical.
I also enjoyed the subtle hints about the twins and the PIs at Red Snake Investigation—I can’t wait to see more of them in future books.

This book has everything I absolutely love in a cowboy romance 🖤! From the brooding & possessive cowboy to the soft but strong FMC! It has an amazing plot that kept you a bit on your toes- I love the added mystery aspect! The spicy scenes were top tier..sprinkled throughout the book- just the right amount.
Beau & “wildflower’s” 😉 chemistry was so palpable- Brittany did a fantastic job of getting me to feel their feelings. Lots of emotion in this book. The heartbreak in this book was so intense…and it all felt so real. At times I found myself very frustrated with Abbie LOL- I just wanted her to tell her damn man what the hell was going on 🤣🤣. I loved the side characters and I can’t wait to read Mags story next!
I really have no complaints about this book! There were a few grammatical errors but it didn’t really bother me!

This book was dark and delicious!
I was sucked in right from the beginning with the promise of cowboys who would do anything to protect the women they love, and this totally delivered!
Beau quickly became one of my new favorite MMCs to read! His compass was definitely more morally grey, and I loved that we see that side of him early on in the book! Abbie, from the beginning of the book, was trying to live her life after moving away from her small town and Beau. She had fight in her and pushed back a lot when Beau was trying to keep her safe. I really enjoyed seeing the independent side of her as much as I loved seeing her with Beau!
I think my favorite part of this story was the suspense and the strong protector vibes coming from all of the male characters in this story, but definitely from Beau the most! The f*ck it moments and "who hurt yous" made me not want to put the book down!
I totally need to go back and read Denver and Mason's stories, and I can't wait until we get more of Hallow Ranch in the future!

Brittany weaves a story of second chances, intrigue, love, loss and lust (emphasis on the lust 🥵). I was head over heels for Abbie and I felt for her emotionally this whole book. Beau loves her more than life itself and I melt for that over the top love.

Brittany Ann, you have done it again with making me fall in love with a cowboy, even if moments the prior cowboys I loved, said some stuff that made me want to throat punch them...sorry not sorry. Beau and Abbie, on my god the rollarcoaster of emotions the two of them put me through had me guessing what actually happened and had me on the edge of my seat when we found out. I feel so bad on how much time they missed out on. Beau Marks.... OH MY GOD, do I love a dirty talking cowboy and oh boy did Beau deliver!! We love a good "fuck it" moment when the guy loses all control and seeing Harmony and Val explain there was perfect!! Abbie, my sweet girl, I just wanted to give her a huge hug during the whole book, why did you do all of that to that sweet girl. I am so excited to see what is to come, and I loved seeing all of the Hallow Ranch family again!!
