Unexpected Love #3

Jordan’s Breakthrough

Rate this book
I never thought I was capable of wanting someone… until Miles made me want it all.

Few things in my life give me joy—my job, my friends, and my three-legged cat named Clematis. They are anchors in my dark mind, something I rely on to keep me from drifting into hopelessness.

After bringing some new plants home, I ask in an online forum if they’re safe for my furbaby. Right away, an unexpected friendship blooms with one of the responders. Miles knocks me off my feet and steadies me at the same time. Our easy conversations are a life raft when all I’ve known is drowning. Miles doesn’t just understand my lows—he soothes them. He makes me feel safe, seen, and alive for the first time ever. His warm, constant presence is everything I’ve needed.

The only problem is, he’s hundreds of miles away.

The closer we become, the more I want to be with him. To hold him. Kiss him. Share all the things I never thought was possible for someone like me. But stepping out of my routine could easily send me spiraling back into that horrible place, and I’m not sure I’ll survive that again. No one knows how truly close to the edge I was—not even my best friends.

Will loving Miles be the thing that breaks me… or will accepting his love be my ultimate breakthrough?

I am an Idaho native who grew up dreaming about traveling the world and writing stories. As a child, I would often spend my spare time curled up with my favorite blanket and a notebook, writing another fairy tale. I never would have guessed those fairy tales would one day grow into gay romances, but that is where my heart led me and I am so glad it did. I write about love because I believe it can happen to anyone, with anyone. I also believe dreams never expire, redemption is possible, and true forgiveness can heal us in ways we never expect. I know firsthand how messy life can get, but as any artist will tell you, a little mess is needed to create something beautiful. That’s why I write, to help others see that anything can be beautiful. You can often find me with a mug of coffee in one hand and a dog toy in the other. There is never a day that goes by without my sweet boy insisting on a game - or twenty - of fetch.

// Could you love me at my worst?
Could you love me even though that, that it hurts?//

«I’ve never had someone offer to sit with me in the darkness.»

When a simple facebook message changes two people’s lives.
Miles and Jordan’s story was so romantic and sweet. From online friends to long-distance boyfriends, from ups and downs to the best thing that’s ever happened to them.

“And if our hard days can be this good, Then our good days are going to be epic.”

An emotional story of hope for better days, finding the person that stays during the bad ones, a love that shines like a light in the darkness.
I loved Miles being so understanding and caring with Jordan, how they were there for each other.
When they met in person for the first time was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever read.

I finally found where I belong.

A really sweet and emotional love story. Loved this, love this series and can’t wait for more.

My sweetest anchor.

I enjoyed this thoughtful and rather intense story. This is a new-to-me author, and I’m happy to have found her work and will try other books.

This story has one of my favorite setups for San Diego bar owner Jordan, who lives with clinical depression, and traveling nurse Miles, currently working in Salt Lake City—meeting online, falling into friendship and love via words exchanged and then calls and video before ever seeing each other in person. That’s why I picked it up, and it delivered.

Jordan has struggled for a long time, though he’s gotten help and is on medication. But his world is muted, a bit colorless, until via an online group he takes part in, he connects with Miles. Miles accepts him as he is, never demanding more than he can handle, quietly and naturally just…liking him and wanting to know more.

Miles too is intrigued and then enchanted by his new online chat buddy…and when they see each other on screen, he about swallows his tongue at the gorgeous Jordan. He proceeds to feel not good enough, but I also loved the take on body image as the more “ordinary” of weight and face Miles turns out to be catnip (these two are both also cat-dads!) for Jordan, who is attracted to him/someone for the first time in quite some time. Their personalities elevate each other, and the attraction follows and grows to explosive levels. Lovely.

And when they meet in person for the first time, thanks to one taking his heart into his hand and taking a big risk, the reward just keeps on giving. Really enjoyable to see the reactions and that their in person chemistry is even better than online.

I’m not an expert on depression, but it seemed to be handled respectfully and authentically. I appreciated Jordan taking steps to get different care, and that Miles too had gone through depressive episodes and both were respectful—and attuned to—the other’s needs, even when each wasn’t seeing what he might need clearly for himself.

We’re in Jordan’s home and world more, surrounded by his friends and work; Miles is away from family, and his best friend and fellow traveling nurse was recently reassigned to Texas, so, there’s no one he’s close to around to better inform on his character the way we’re given insight to Jordan. I’m glad it was dual POV, but somehow I felt more connected to Jordan, even so? I liked them both very much though, and cheered for their romance and happy ending.

Secondary characters are, I believe, continuing characters from previous books, but I never felt confused or overwhelmed, and they added strong support and layers to the story. Cheers for cats Clementine and Lily, and for all Jordan’s plants.

HEA; hurt-comfort, online romance to real-life, long-distance romance. No OM action or drama, very safe for me. Jordan receives interest from an SC, but he’s never remotely intrigued by anyone but Miles, and it’s handled respectfully. Recommended.

My thanks to Gay Romance Reviews for the ARC; this is my free and impartial opinion.

This book deals with a difficult topic, clinical depression, but it does so with sensitivity, caring and understanding. Jordan has suffered from depression for a long time, is on meds for it, but he never really feels happy or content, something always a little off, or not lasting for very long. When he gets a response to a Facebook post from Miles, his life is about to change.
Miles lives in Salt Lake City, there for a temporary nursing position, knowing he will move on at the end of his contract. Jordan lives in San Diego, bartending in a bar with his friends, so the two realize that as their connection deepens, this will be a long distance relationship. Jordan shares about his depression with Miles, and the response he gets from Miles is so understanding and supportive, he feels comfortable and safe with him. When Miles can tell that Jordan’s depression is worsening, he makes an unexpected visit, cementing the feelings between them, but unfortunately, he can’t stay and must return to Salt Lake City. That trip is the start of some changes and realizations for both about themselves and each other, as they find ways to deal with the loneliness and depression which can accompany long term separation.
I have never personally been depressed, but the description of Jordan’s thoughts and feelings struck me as being true and realistic, and gave me a small window into what it must be like to feel that hopelessness with little chance of improvement to be able to live your life, not just exist. The understanding, encouragement and love Jordan received from Miles was enough to cause him to reach out for more help to try for a better future, for him and both of them as a couple.
The poetry Jordon wrote for Miles was a beautiful expression of his thoughts and feelings, and brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion.
I thought the author approached this topic with honesty, sensitivity, and a positive message that there are therapists and medications which can help, sometimes it takes time to find the right combinations, something like the “anchors” Jordan used can be beneficial, and there is the possibility for a more fulfilling life while living with depression. If clinical depression is not a trigger for you, and you would like to read a more uplifting and hopeful book with a clinically depressed MC navigating his way to a better future, this book might be for you.
I received an advance copy of the book and this is my voluntary review.

JORDAN'S BREAKTHROUGH is the third book in the Unexpected Love series, but you don't have to read the first two to appreciate this one. I haven't read them, but they are now on my TBR list!

Jordan has his mask firmly in place, with his friends, his family, and anyone else who might see him. That changes when he's behind his own doors though, and the state of his motorhome reflects just how dark things are for him. A light in the darkness is a connection he makes with Miles. From a conversation about identifying a plant, these two become everything to each other in a way that is both hot and romantic.

There is a content warning at the beginning of this, and I appreciated that. I found the descriptions of depression, the hopelessness, the lethargy, the feeling of emptiness, even the side effects of some medications, exceedingly well-written. Some days even nothing is too much, and most people I know who fight depression have had their own 'day and time', including myself.

This story hit home in so many ways, and yes, I was in tears. I loved how Jordan and Miles were there for each other, and their friends were there for them both. I was ecstatic when I saw that everything went both ways (no spoilers!) and the actions that were taken.

This is a story of love and support, of friendship and romance, of being so low you are drowning and then the heart-rending daily drag of trying to fight your way back to feeling 'normal', whatever that is. An amazing story that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, so long as you are in the right place to read it.

CONTENT WARNING: This is a heavy read that tackles themes of depression, self-isolation, and suicidal ideation. Please heed the trigger warnings.

***
This book is more than just a romance - it's an exploration of healing, vulnerability, and how life-changing it can be to have someone truly see you. It is heavy. It is hopeful. And it's one of the most emotionally resonant books I've ever read.

Jordan and Miles form a connection online, over plants, and they quickly become friends. More than that, Miles becomes a lifeline for Jordan - someone who doesn't try to fix him, but sees him in both good and bad lights and still chooses to stay. Watching their bond grow was tender and gut-wrenching in all the right ways. Their love story is slow and careful, and deeply earned. It's about choosing connection when your brain lies to you. About risking joy when you fear the crash. And for Jordan, it's about finally believing that he is worthy of love and living - not just surviving.

The author tackles this subject with care and authenticity, not sugarcoating mental illness and not shying away from the dark parts. She nails what it's like to live with chronic depression but also shows us how easy it can be for someone to fall into a situational depression without even realizing it. It never feels overly dramatized or exploitative, and if you've ever been on either side of depression, it will hit you in all the feels.

Raw and honest, but also filled with light, this book will make you ache. But then it will make you believe that even in the darkest corners, love can still find you.

NOTE: You can read this without reading the first 2 books in the series, but you really should read all of them. It will make the story that much more complete and rich.

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 3 in the Unexpected Love series, and I have not read books one or two. I want to, but you don't need to read them.

Jordan and Miles connect via an online group for plant dads. Their connection quickly grows but Jordan suffers from clinical depression and Miles is a ten hour drive away. When Jordan needs him, Miles jumps on a plane. But what will Jordan do when Miles needs him??

I liked this, I liked it a LOT. I did struggle though, at points and let me tell you why. Someone very VERY close to me suffers from depression, almost as bad as Jordan. And when he was spiraling, and we get it all? I could see them, and how they suffered. It's clear the author has either first hand experience, or has done a massive amount of research to get all the intricacies of clinicla depression and how it manifests itself for different people.

I loved that Miles made Jordan see how much his group of friends cares about him. He didn't see it, not really. And they do care, deeply for Jordan and indeed Miles, once Miles is in that group.

For me, the steam and smex play second fiddle to the emotion that comes out this book. Given Jordan's diagnosis and Miles' struggling, it's heavy, HEAVY on the emotion and I really did love that.

I liked finding out about the guys from books one and two, they play a part here. And just what is going on with Vince, the bouncer at the bar where Jordan works?? His book is next and I'm jumping straight in!

4 very VERY good stars

This is a sweet story but with heavy topics regarding depression, isolation, suicidal idealation and more. Jordan's mind isn't always the easiest to live with. He has dark things that pull him under until all he can think about it putting a stop to it all. The only three things that keep him going and he finds joy in are his job, his friends and his three legged cat. They keep him on an even keel yet he doesn't disclose everything to his friends including how dark his mind can get. That is until he meets Miles on an online forum that gives advice on how to care for plants since he just bought some. Miles makes him want things he never has and makes him feel good and seen. They quickly strike up a genuine friendship that shifts to more. But Miles doesn't live close by and Jordan isn't sure what will happen if he veers off his routine and doesn't want to push himself over a ledge he can't come back from. But Miles is someone special and may just be worth the try. This is a story of mental health, overcoming obstacles, friendship, hope and being open and putting in the work to heal. As someone who has suffered on and off with depression Jordan and his experience really spoke to my heart and soul and my heart broke for him. But he was so loved and cared about yet sometimes it's hard to grasp that. Which is why the title of this book is so powerful. This book made me feel seen, made me cry and made me feel understood and reading about Jordan's journey was hard but also hard earned and beautiful as well.

BEAUTIFUL POETIC AND ROMANTIC!💕 🖤

“THE SWEETEST ANCHOR”

“I’ve found my home. You hold me steady, you keep me true.

Here, in my darkness, I fall in love with you.”

This is the first book of the series by this author I have read and can be read as a standalone.

It was sweet and endearing how Miles met Jordan on-line in a group chat for plant lovers on Facebook thanks to an unknown plant given to him…

It was just kismet with these two characters who both suffer from depression, both love plants ,Sims and both have cats that rule their lives!

Their story was very poetic, sweet, romantic and emotionally endearing by how empathetic and understanding temporary travelling nurse Miles Breckton was towards Jordan Sanchez’s mental illness…

How they were there for each other when they just knew when it was essential to just be there in the flesh to stave of the pending darkness and loneliness that threatens to consume and destroy their souls…

Their connection was instant and grew deeper with every message and video call but it was never enough…
The distance was too much…
They needed touch and attention to feel grounded but Miles’s job was taking its toll on him…

The found family that just grew and grew and became their own special family unit that supported them in their needs, was so beautiful and sweet!

A sweet, heartfelt epilogue follows their journey 18 months later with a beautiful rounding off!

I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR for an honest non biased review.

This book deals with depression in a realistic way. There's not a lot of 'happy' to this story, as both characters go through bouts of depression - Jordan is clinically depressed, and Miles definitely goes through it when he is working alone in Salt Lake City with no friends or family around.

Miles - traveling nurse, and Jordan - bartender/author meet online in a plant forum. They start to talk online and realize they have a lot of plants and cats in common. They grow closer thru their online discussions, and finally Miles goes out to San Diego to see Jordan in person. As they get closer, Miles finally points out that Jordan's meds are not working as well we they could, and that he should really go back to his psychiatrist to see if things can't be adjusted. Once Jordan does this, things really begin to change for him. Miles, meanwhile, is stuck in Salt Lake City by himself, and very unhappy about it.

Eventually they work their problems out and get their HEA. This is found family (the characters are all involved with Graham's Bar in San Diego - run by a couple from the second book). It's medium spice because Jordan has problems with his sex drive while on the wrong meds. Really enjoyed reading this one, although it's not a particularly happy book, and well, depression can be depressing.

What to expect:
- online dating,
- strangers to friends to lovers,
- plants and cats dads,
- long distance relationship,
- found family,
- Mental Health Rep - depression.

This book is a true gem. I didn't expect to be so captivated by this story. I had the opportunity to receive an ARC of this book and haven't read the previous ones in the series, but I found my way into this one without any problem. Now I want to read the rest and have them on my TBR list.
The author created a wonderful world and two characters with beautiful hearts and wounded souls. The book was very emotional at times for me as we read about Jordan's struggles with depression. Everything in this book flowed naturally, from the development of friendship between Miles and Jordan, their late-night conversations, to first meeting in person and romantic relationship. It would be hard for me to choose a favorite scene from the book. Their meeting was so wonderful. Miles understood Jordan perfectly. Stories like this one, about relationships built on trust and support are wonderful to read. I think about Miles and Jordan constantly, they will stay with me forever.
I highly recommend reading this book, you won't regret it.

I received an ARC of this book from GRR, and this is my honest review.

Jordan lives a quiet, carefully managed life where only a few things bring him comfort — his job, his friends, and his three‑legged cat, Clematis. When he joins an online forum to ask about plant safety, he unexpectedly connects with Miles, whose warmth and understanding quickly become a lifeline. Their bond grows into something Jordan never believed he could want, but Miles lives far away, and stepping outside his routine risks triggering the mental health struggles he’s fought so hard to survive. Now he must decide whether loving Miles will break him or finally help him heal.

I really loved how this story handled depression and mental health with such sensitivity and honesty. Jordan’s struggles felt real and deeply human, and the way Miles met him with patience, warmth, and understanding made their connection incredibly moving. They each gave the other exactly what they needed — comfort, steadiness, and the kind of gentle care that feels life‑changing. The emotions in this book run deep, and the writing makes every feeling easy to understand and impossible not to absorb. It’s a beautifully emotional story, and yes, it will definitely bring some tears. This was an MM story with mature content.

Jordan’s Breakthrough hit me right in the heart. This isn’t just a romance, it’s a raw, honest look at living with depression, and how love, patience, and the right person can change everything.

Jordan keeps his mask firmly in place for the outside world, but behind closed doors, he’s struggling. Enter Miles, a plant-loving, cat dad who meets Jordan online and somehow sees all of him, good and bad, and stays anyway. What starts as late-night conversations turns into something tender, romantic, and life-saving.

This book nails the realities of mental health—never sugarcoating, never exploiting—while still delivering a hopeful, heartfelt love story. Jordan and Miles’ journey from strangers to friends to lovers is slow, careful, and deeply earned. It’s about trust, support, and learning that you’re worthy of love even when your brain tells you otherwise.

Expect:
- Strangers-to-friends-to-lovers
- Online dating & long-distance romance
- Plant and cat dads
- Found family
- Honest depression rep

Emotional, authentic, and quietly powerful—Jordan and Miles will stick with me for a long time. Highly recommend, but make sure you’re in the right headspace before diving in.

Miles and Jordan healed a little piece of myself. Miles' quiet and gentle accepts of Jordan was so beautiful. He didn't push, didn't try to change him. He was steady and unwavering. My heart absolutely broke for Jordan. His depression held him down for so long he forget what true joy was. Watching him experience life again, truly living without the heaviness weighing him was absolutely beautiful.

The intimacy of just being with someone, touching and cuddling is unmatched. Those quiet moments where they just existed together were some of my favorite moments.

Miles and Jordan will stay with me forever.

Miles and Jordans story was so painfully sweet. The way they initially connected on line and watching them meet in person is one of my favourite types of love stories, that I find hard to come across in books.
I was a little nervous going into the book especially considering one of the main characters has clinical depression, that it would be a 'love conquers all' and a magic fix. But no. This book is REAL. It was beautiful seeing that love does not in fact conquer all but surrounding yourself with found family, finding strength in yourself to open up and having a strong support system does. it was so refreshing to read THAT love story. Not only did Miles and Jordan fall in love with eachother, but they fell in love with their selves.

*Hurt Comfort
*Online dating/Long distance Dating
*Planty cat dads
*Mental Health representation

Jordan’s Breakthrough by Kim Breyon is book 3 in the Unexpected Love series. I am absolutely loving this series and this one may be my favorite so far. I loved both Miles and Jordan. Each one has struggled with depression at different points in their lives. Jordan is struggling with feeling any sort of happiness that sticks around. He meets Miles in a plant FB group and the two form a friendship and then so much more. I loved how Miles was just what Jordan needed: someone who accepted him for who he was and the struggles that he faced. But on the other hand, Jordan also gave Miles what he needed. They truly were there for each other and they made each other stronger. I loved seeing the other characters and how they are living their HEAs. I am looking forward to Vince’s story and I am already concerned about him.

I liked a lot of things about this book. Jordan and Miles, as different and yet in some ways as similar as two people can be, meet online and form a friendship that becomes so much more. I like that Jordan, who suffers from crippling depression, is the one with the stellar, model-worthy good looks. What a great way to show that what a person looks like on the outside is no indication of what's happening on the inside. By the same token, Miles, who by all appearances is the upbeat, cheerful, has-his-life-together guy, starts out riddled with lack of confidence in HIS physical appeal because he DOESN'T have the ripped body of the man he falls for. They both struggle with a debilitating mental condition, and as they learn to trust, they learn how to lean on each other when the dark times come. I enjoyed this story a lot.

This is such a good book. Warning though: both characters deal with depression though Jordan’s is more complex and deeper than Miles’s.

Jordan meets Miles, a traveling nurse, through a Facebook group for plants. They hit it off and begin chatting online every day and then texting and video chatting often. Jordan suffers from very heavy clinical depression. He’s often withdrawn or exhausted from fighting his darkness.

The mental health aspects of this book were written so well. There’s no magic penis or power of love to cure all. Jordan sees his doctor and changes his meds and gets back to therapy. And he fights and lives with his depression. He’s able to better fight it though because of Miles. Miles makes no demands of Jordan and he meets him where he is on everything.

It’s just beautiful love story really.

Such a dark book that is so well written and despite focusing darkness and depression, it is a book about hope, support, and love. Jordan's character broke me in so many ways. I wanted to hug him and help him feel loved. His depression takes over his life until he lets his guard down when meeting Miles online. Miles support to Jordan is what real love is about-accepting someone as they are and helping them navigate their life issues. Problem for Jordan, who for the first mite feels safe and calm with Miles, is is that Miles is 100 miles away. Take the trigger warning seriously and get your head in the right place to read this beautiful book. I did shed some tears but those tears brought happiness. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review.

'If only Miles could stay with me forever.'

I really enjoyed this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Jordan and Miles. I've read romances that turned into long distance, but this is the first one I've read that started long distance, because they originally met online and then connected. There was something about Jordan's mindset that I found really relatable. I liked the way their relationship developed and loved how supportive and encouraging Miles was. Jordan needed some help, and that was ultimately a step he himself had to make, but Jordan in his life- even if not in the same space- was a balm. I couldn't wait to see how things would turn out for these two. 4 stars

Beautiful. Such a moving story that it brought tears to my eyes. I absolutely adore Jordan and Miles. Their incidental meeting online blossoms into friendship. As the two grow closer, they learn so much about each other, and even more about themselves along the way. It’s a heart-touching story.

While this is the third book of a series, this can be read as a stand-alone.

I would consider this a high-angst story as it touches on the off-page death of a mentor, severe depression, and prior suicidal ideation. However, Breyon writes about Jordan’s chronic depression and Miles’ situational depression so delicately and sympathetically.

Thanks to GRR for this ARC; this review is my unbiased opinion about this book.

What a great well written book. Jordan suffers from long term depression. He's on meds but they only keep him barely functional. Miles is a remote nurse. They click on a similar interest of plants website and hit it off immediately. I think because it's remote they can talk to each other without judgement., They're friendship blossoms. Miles decides he's going to meet Jordan in person, hopes on a plane & the real time connection is just as instantaneous. I loved how the author handled the world with depression & showed that in time it could be handled if you just have the right people to help open your mind & heart to let others in. I was offered a copy from GRR & this is my honest opinion.

Sweet, feel good story. I was expecting this book to be painful or trigger memories of when I was clinically depressed, but instead it is hopeful and supportive. The internal dialogue gives a lot of depth to the two main characters, one chronically depressed and the other lonely with low self esteem. The cats are cute too.

This is #3 of a series but I enjoyed it without reading the other books first, so it works well as a standalone. Characters from the first two books appear in this one but I doubt that will spoil my reading of those first two books, which I plan to do before book #4 is published.

This book is one I’ll want to reread every couple of years.

This was such a heart-gripping story as the characters put their whole hearts on the page. Jordan struggles with meeting new people, often weighed down by his depression, which threatens to pull him under. But when he begins chatting with Miles, a spark of connection and hope starts to shine through.

Miles quickly realizes that Jordan is hitting bottom and steps up to be there for him more than ever. Their bond is tender, genuine, and a reminder that the right person can bring light into even the darkest moments.

This story beautifully shows that with love, patience, and support, it’s possible to face struggles with mental illness—and find healing through connection.

Jordan has always had depression, but when his best friend dies, it gets worse. Drowning and barely surviving when Miles a traveling nurse, who's also suffocating from loneliness, slides into his DMs about a plant, both men find what they need. This is a heavy read, but worth it. I love how in depth it shows how depression can come in any form, and how there’s no shame in it, but there is a way out. The book also shows the importance of found family. Both Jordan and Miles are interesting characters that will keep you invested in their lives. They also both have kitties and love plants, so there is no way to go wrong.

Struggling to be seen! Jordan, is emotionally drained. He is on the edge and clinging to his spot in life. He makes a connection with Miles when seeking help about his furbaby, Clematis. Miles, is his anchor. This is an emotional story of self assessment, struggle, survival, friendship, support and reclaiming oneself. Excellent emotional challenge to own one's truth. This story, wrung me out and had me pulling for Jordan and Miles. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jordan has been barely surviving, most days are bad and others are worse and his medication doesn’t seem to be working.
Miles travels the country filling in as a nurse.
When the men get talking online, they have an instant friendship, and soon develops feelings for each other. When they meet sparks fly, and then they struggle to be apart, which doesn’t help Jordan’s depression.
It takes compromise and trust for them to come together.

I received this book from GRR

Thank you for the book; here is my honest opinion:
This was lovely, a wonderful addition to this excellent series! This was emotional as both Miles and Jordan have very real struggles and pain, but manages to still feel hopeful. These two are wonderfully romantic together and I loved how hard the fight to be together. It also has a compelling journey for Jordan and his depression which felt authentic, it was pretty uplifting to see him fight for a happy future with Miles and their lovely and supportive found family. Loved it a lot!

The mental health rep here is phenomenal. Jordan is really going through it, and has been for quite some time. Even on meds, he just doesn't feel right. That's a real problem for a lot of people working through depression. They aren't always a cure all. I love that this author has obviously done their research on depression and the issues that medication can create. Miles is incredibly patient. I love him! There is some drama, obviously. How can there not be, but this book was tastefully done.

I did not realize what a moving, motivating and touching romance this would be. I felt Jordan's depression to my bones. And the way Miles was attuned to what he needed was beautiful. I also have a three-legged cat and the powerful connection there I could completely relate too. This romance had such a gently intimacy alongside a chemistry. It was just all so real, and I felt it all with these two.
