MALE The practice of securing a consenting adult male by means of a lockable chastity device such that the chastened male’s sexual release can be achieved only with the keyholder’s involvement and consent.
THis was the first book I read on the subject, perhaps ten years ago(?).
Easy read in an afternoon. Fairly well written and logically organized to address some of the different sub-topics. And the discussions were practical and within the ability of a couple to incorporate in their lives.
More currently published works on the same topic are widely available nowadays. Growth in chastity and FLR interests have made opportunity for other authors. Some better than others (some outright outlandish).
How Chastity can benefit the submissive man of a loving heterosexual relationship. The book is an excellent primer for a vanilla wife. Right from the beginning, the author set-up the usefulness of the book: to bring back a required sexual tension for a man to rekindle his desire and focus his attention on his object of desire: his wife. For a woman, harnessing her man's libido is becoming the Keyholder of his passion. The author establishes that Chastity often comes from the husband and might express some hidden submissive nature. For a wife, it is the key to a better understanding of what drives him, and it becomes her way of keeping him focused on her needs and desires. His sacrifice and the gift of her sexual control are now cornerstones to their renewed intimacy.
The author emphasizes how important for a wife it is to reflect on her needs and desires to make Chastity work for her in the various aspects of her daily life. She also helps get rid of the "Nice Girl" syndrome by showing how much Chastity for him is a gift in itself, sexualizing his everyday life constantly. Male Chastity is so much more than a way to spice things in the bedroom: it is a path towards a better understanding of men's sexuality and women's needs.
I really enjoyed this book although the subject isn't new and I knew the most of it. It's a guide and thus not very erotic but still, I was often aroused to erection while reading.
It's well written and is there for the female keyholder who is new to the world of chastity or has already some experience but could use some background, tips and understanding of how her submissive husband/friend is wired.
I'll translate it to Dutch for my wife because I really think she should read it. Reading it will make her more aware how she can be more naturally dominant using chastity (or orgasm denial) en truly understand my submissive sexual mind.
An easy and quick read. It's a good book as an introduction for people who are asked to be a potential keyholder, as it's not very kinky oriented but mostly informative with a good emphasis on consent and exploring on your terms and pace. Maybe that's why it's also quite monogamy assuming, so don't expect anything on chastity play within nonmonogamous dynamics like polyamory or kinks like cuckolding. Nevertheless, still a very good place to start exploring the topic to see if it's anything for you and how to try it mindfully, without raising expectations to indulge beyond anything you are not comfortable with or fear of no returning. Do note that it is very heterosexually focussed with gender binary thinking. I would have loved to have a bit more feminist theory in there as well, however, it does give some examples of patriarchal dynamics and behaviors and how chastity can serve as a pragmatic feminist tool to rebalance those.
Decent information, but I did not agree with everything, such as the insistence that a male in long term chastity needs to be milked regularly for prostate health. There is no science to back that up.
