Received from a PaperBackSwap member in June 2019. Started to read it but didn't like it; the tone was too sexist for me. I'm disappointed that it wasn't more substantive. I didn't finish it. I'll pass it on to someone else, who will hopefully appreciate it more than I did.
I don't know what to say about this book. I think they had a great idea, but it was just a lot of antidotes. Don't get me wrong, it had me crying and made me think alot about my relationship with my dad. I did like how it was laid out: from birth to death. Good relationships and bad relationships. But, it felt a little 'fluffy' to me. Not a ton of depth, but maybe that is what they were going for. It did have a 'task' about writing about your own dad and I think I will do that. I love my dad and that was the overall theme - we love our dads no matter what and they do shape a lot of who we become.
Nice short heartwarming stories about father-daughter relationships. It's an easy read and gave me insights on how a good father should be. I did not learn anything in particular but it just nice to know how other relationships like mine to Jillian go.
