HOLY SHIIII! This was so good. Such a short, sweet and spicy read. I finished reading it in 40-45 mins lol. I didn't know reading about physical check-up could be so hot lmao 🥵😭. Absolutely loved the little past snippets of Dr. West history. AND THE CLIFFHANGER!! I love me a good cliffhanger. Excitedly waiting for the next book because I NEED MOREEE 🥹🤌.

Ugh this book is so amazing!
I am so obsessed with this one. The story is so fast paced and will leave you on the edge of your seat.
You will get some morally grey characters, who have an attraction to each other full of so much tension and heat. The big thing is? Other than that ... 😏 He's her doctor!
There are lots of secrets, suspense, and the spice is absolutely phenomenal!

4.5! This was good start to the series, the cliffhanger REALLY got me, so I’m excited to see where it goes. Please check trigger warnings before you read. This is definitely a case of half insta lust and half almost pining I guess? The backstory between the two characters was interesting and I am curious as to what will happen there, as well!

Holy moly! That was incredibly good! Dr. West knows how to be thorough! I know this was short and sweet, but my was it really good!
I love the little snippets of Dr. West's history from high school and his childhood. I know there is a dark past waiting to be uncovered and amended by Jessica.
Oh I love a good cliffhanger and this one is perfect for showing us more to these characters. I can't wait to see what part two uncovered for us.

This was my first medical themed story, and it was a nice, easy read.
It's also a shorter story, so it didn't take long to finish, but it was not short on spice🌶
There were some time skips to get as much story in as possible, but I still enjoyed the story we got.
Jess and Adam's initial meetings are certainly something different to what I've read before and a bit taboo, but that just makes it more fun! There's plenty of ups and downs and drama to keep you interested.
With a morally grey doctor and a happy go lucky teacher, this is definitely a grumpy/ sunshine and with plenty of spice. If you're looking for a quick read romance, this is a great pallette cleanser!

My favourite MMC is a morally grey man, and Dr Adam West was this by definition!
This was smutty, spicy, sexy, kinky, I could go on.
The way Jess helps break down Adam's walls was so genuine, and when he reveals who is truly is and that there are certain things he cannot change, she accepts him as he is. I really loved this book, it wasn't just a smut smack to the face, there was some really deep and complex emotions that were explored.

Wow! For a very short story, this one packs in plenty of spice (which is off the charts!) and great introductions to the main characters.
It does end in an exciting cliffhanger which made me want to scream and grab the next book immediately! I’m intrigued to see not only what happens after the cliffhanger but also what happens between the main characters -not just the spice, but also the character development and their backstories.
This was my first dark medical romance and I loved it!

I recieved this book as an ARC and i must say that imximpressed with this book. Its actually a small novella, somewhat like series. This is a spicy romance book, where the ML is a doctor who is hot and sexy and the FL is a humble teacher. This romance took me back to my teenager days, as I sat and rolled all over giggling, smiling in my head.
Spicy meter : out of 5🌶
Build-up of tension : 🌶🌶🌶🌶The tension is build almost immediately in the starting scene itself. And the description is also so nicely written that you can palpate the tension between them. But this is not a slow burn, there is intimacy almost immediately itself
Connectivity : 🌶🌶🌶This novella is almost like the introduction to the characters so initially I can't comment that properly about the emotional and romance Connectivity between the MC's
Graphic content and imagery : 🌶🌶🌶🌶The imagery is very nicely written and described.
Taboo elements and Kinks:🌶🌶🌶 there are some Taboo elements and Kinks, but as there are only very few scenes these elements and not deeply dwelled
Consent and boundaries : 🌶🌶🌶🌶there is CNC and formal Consent too, the boundaries are also nicely set.
Consistency and Frequency :🌶🌶🌶🌶 even it being a short novella I can say that there is Consistency in the scenes as every meeting between the MC's is almost like a scene.
Overall : 🌶🌶🌶🌶 overall this is a Spicy read.

Originality and Plot :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the story is kind of a routine story, but the author has written in such a way that you feel so connected and deeply immersed that you will be wanting to know what happens next
Emotional Impact : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️as soon as I closed the book, it was intriguing, happy, satisfying and brought the child like inquisitiveness, possessiveness and obsession with the MC's and their gonna be love story
Overall : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️being just a small novella, i am impressed that the author could keep the readers immersed in the story and at the same time create enough curiosity for us to be waiting for the next book.

This was a very short book read it in one sitting. At first I did think this is a bit cringe but once it started I wanted to know more. What is Dr. Wests history? What is up with Brent? What did we leave off with such a massive cliff hanger? 😫 I need to know what happens next.
I think that this book is for the smut lovers, the ones who want to get out of a slump, those who need to get more in to meet their reading goals, those who want a short story.

This book was disgustingggggggg?? This was one of the weirdest, most genuinely traumatizing things I’ve ever put myself through. Like I finished it and just sat there staring at the wall, questioning everything, including why I didn't just DNF it 30 pages in.
The “doctor” in this? If I had ANYYYYYYYYY type of doctor like that in real life, I swear to God, I'd sue them for emotional damage and then proceed to rip the dudes guts out. He was out here being creepy, manipulative, and thinking he was doing something profound—sir, you're not deep, you're deranged.What he did to Jennifer? Absolutely vile. I don’t even have the words. That scene?? Burn it. Burn it with fire. I had to close the book and go sit in silence for like 20 minutes.
But Monica?!? 😏😏😏 dudeeeee. She was eating up every red flag like it was her last meal. Like I actually loved her sooooo much. This is what a true friend is.
The whole book felt like being stuck in a fever dream where everyone’s pretending it's normal. It's not. It’s weird. It's disturbing. And it will haunt me. Forever.
This book felt like being trapped in a therapy session hosted by Satan himself. No peace. No healing. Just ✨trauma✨ and red flags. I need bleach for my brain and a long nap.
Zero stars if I could. Never again. Would not recommend unless you're into suffering.

Okay, so let me scream first because ahhhh! The characters are insanely hot, like god-like hot! Doctor Adam? Ahhhh! I need a doctor like him for myself. I loved both characters, their chemistry is absolutely sizzling.
I never knew reading about a physical examination could be this hot and spicy, leaving me giggling and blushing like a teenager, but here we are.
This is a very short and spicy read with an interesting plot. Everything is on point and will leave you craving the next part. I finished the book in one sitting because it was that good. You won’t be able to put it down once you start.

I would never condone the inappropriate touching of a doctor irl, but my gawd!
That was hot!
A doctor/patient trope mixed in with highschool crush was a massive win with me.

Without spoiling, this is a spicey taboo story of a doctor/patient nonprofessional relationship. There is dubcon and please read triggers, mental health matters.
I ate up this book in less than 2 hours! I loved every second the whole time reading; I wish it was longer!

Looking for a short and spicy read? Check out Deeply Examined! Jessica and Adam have an interesting backstory and I am curious to see how it will play out. Well I didn’t know I had a med kink… but I got one now 🫣 I was given an arc by the author and this book did not disappoint! The spice was introduced in the first chapter (we love that) Did I question my morals? Yes. Do I care? No 😂

I am so excited to be ARC reading for this amazing author Lexi Davis This is her new pen name for obvious reasons.
This is book 1 in a multi book medical dark romance series. Please make sure you read the triggers before starting. The is some DubCon and though she enjoys herself it could be triggering for some. It is hot hot and possessive. I loved it!
Jessica
She is a selfless caring person. From Adam's PoV we learn she was super popular and part of everything. She never tells people no. I'm almost certain she was too afraid to disappoint anyone. Both her parents were teachers and made very little but that didn't stop her from wanting to be one as well. She works at a Title 1 school, a students at risk school. She wants to make a difference. She has little time for a social life and can barely afford her tiny apartment that she has. I can't wait to learn more about her.
Adam
He is a gynecologist doctor. We learn that he went to the same high school as Jessica and was older than her. He was the outcast, the kid who was bullied constantly but he always noticed her even though she never noticed him as far as we know right now. He has changed drastically. He went from the thin unnoticed boy to a very nicely built attractive man. All women notice him and he has no interest in dating. When he sees it's Jessica he decides he's going to get his revenge but quickly he learns he is developing feelings. This man is a red flag and I freakin loved him. However he is deeply traumatized and hasn't faced his demons yet.
20 years have passed since the two of them have seen eachother. Adam is the only one who knows they know eachother. This is absolutely a dark romance so please make sure that's your jam. And if it is than this is the story for you. It is fast paced and oh so hot 🥵 he definitely takes advantage of his position to touch her but she absolutely loves it and comes back for more. This story ends on a massive cliffhanger (don't worry the next book is coming soon!) It is a short quick paced story that has you begging for more!

This book is definitely not for younger audiences 🔞! It's a spicy romance 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (4/5 on the spice scale), and I absolutely loved it! I gave it 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because the story kept me hooked from start to finish. It follows Dr. Adam West, a female doctor with a difficult past, and Jessecia, her patient. Their connection starts off in the exam room and, oh boy, things get spicy fast! At first, it’s a little spicy, but then it gets way hotter!🔥 Let’s just say it’s a wild ride after that! 😏
What I really loved about this book was how Dr. Adam West was portrayed. She’s so strong, but her tough childhood makes her even more relatable. Her chemistry with Jessecia was electric ⚡, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages! The book even has dual POVs in one chapter, which was an awesome touch. It let me see both characters' emotions and really made me feel like I was right there with them. 😍
Even though the book is a bit short with limited chapters 📚, it didn’t feel rushed. The pacing was perfect, and Lexi Davis did an excellent job building the tension and keeping things interesting. I couldn’t put it down, and I’m still thinking about it!

( I was given an ARC of Deeply Examined by Lexi Davis. This is my honest review)
Deeply Examined is a Dark Medical Romance that is a dual POV between the MFC Jessica Jones and the MMC Dr. Adam West. Dr. West is a practicing, broody, attractive OBGYN and Jessica Jones, a high school teacher, is his patient coming for her routine annual exam.
Yes we can see where this is going and it does not waste time to get to the spice. Brows will be raised, the proper ladies that just dipped a toe in the dark romance world may clutch pearls because honestly I dont think I will look at my exams the same ever again.
Since this is a dark romance I certainly recommend you check the TW. There is a dangerous obsessive stalker nature in our broody Dr. West and that may make some uneasy.
So back to the story. Dr. West is the picture perfect vision of the picked on kid that everyone made fun of and bullied to have the extreme glow up. Dark hair, broody, with storm cloud eyes and muscles. Yeah the doctors on Greys have a run for their money. West has always been drawn to Jessica who just so happened to be a freshmen in the high school he attended.
He never forgot her so when she comes into his exam room he has to have her and he does in plenty of ways. Deeply Examined is Greys meets Fifty Shades but far better. It is a quick read but the characters have background and depth. While some of West' behaviors and actions seem questionable Davis gives explanation that makes it almost seem logical and reasonable. It is a quick read and does not disappoint. I enjoyed seeing Adam and Jessica grow and heal together. I look forward to the continuation of their story in Deeply Desired.
Some added bonus was the imagery in the book. That was a great touch!

This is absolutely sublime storytelling. The edginess of their backstory and the way the dominance is created is both clever and engaging . Both of them have pasts, she doesn’t know she has met the domineering doctor before but she finds him alluring and so hot. He has an intense affect on her already . She wants to please and be teased by him.. she’s so ready to do his bidding without a qualm. His sexual healing a balm. Both are vulnerable in their own way and the character’s needs are both met and considered in the deliverance of this awesome story with an almighty cliffhanger that leaves you with hunger pangs of desire and more. Encore , I was wanting more . I’m already on the edge of my seat awaiting the next instalment that I guess will be full of promise as well as torment. You’re invested in them in this first book, especially him as the focus turns swiftly and fully on the dominant character. So cleverly written I was surely and wholly smitten . Purring like a kitten. Lexi Davis , I for one thank you for your service . I was well and truly captivated and I was in lust with your dominant male . You did so much and delved so deep into their psyche in this amazing triumph of a dark and beautiful sexual and sensual book. The storytelling too was stellar,and this fella the dom has layers to be examined and taken apart. And we can see beneath those incredible layers that in there deep and dark beats a vulnerable child’s heart.
