I’m still processing my thoughts on this read. My biggest conflict is that while I was drawn to it for obvious reasons, there are parts that feel so overtly aggressive they (IMO) border on reading more like teenage musings than professionally crafted pieces and lower the overall quality of the collection.
That said, there are multiple contributions here that spoke to me that managed to tap into the *emotions* of the current chaos our country is experiencing without outright naming anyone.
The varied formats were a lot of fun, I have never seen that before and enjoyed seeing there’s a little bit of everything there.
Love it or hate it, the one thing that can be said is that the folks behind this book used their words and chose art over violence to express their dissatisfaction with the state of things.

Reading this, I felt less alone. It’s an impressive collection of powerful pieces across a variety of media. Engaging and interactive, this anthology effectively captures feelings of rage and despair while also pushing us into standing up and staying strong.
