this book was interesting. There were aspects I fell in love with. Aspects that I was a tad lost on and aspects that I was not happy with. All in all what a book should do to you. Create a emotional whirlpool of thoughts.

Lets start with the not happy and work to the good stuff:

Emma: she acted to indignant and uppity at times. Yes she has a reason to be wary. Yes she was burned but geez Jez isn't NIc. You didn't tell him all that happened that night with Denni, you kept his sister's boyfriend secret until you were caught, you even kept your infatuation with Jaxx uhuh I remember that sweetcheeks from Jez. You even fantasized about him while with Jez. You tore Jez down and didn't even give him a chance in the end. To make him decide like that was wrong. He needed to do what he could to protect you and his daughter that you should understand but no instead you go off and hurt him and yourself. You even go off with a guy and what that is okay because instead of believing the man who loves you more than life itself you believe the lying scuzzball who took everything from you yeah that works for me. This was a character that just didn't resonate well for me. She was I am not sure but she didn't work for me.

Confused: the whole Nic-Mel-Emma-Jez thing. Too coincidental and not really explained well. I hope we get to understand this whole thing more in the next book.

Loved:
Denni- he was great so funny and loyal. Emma didn't deserve him as a friend

Jeremy: yes sometimes he acted like a douchecanoe but he did have good reason and he was upfront with Emma at all times. He fell hard for her and she even if Emma didn't realize it put high standards on him wanting him to make up for her past. Can't happen Emma. He was confused and trying to always do what was right. His belief in Emma and her talents was wonderful to see and at the end when he had to make that decision you felt for him. He did right in my opinion and Emma really needs to reassess.

The story in itself was good. Two people crushed by others and taken to the cleaners. One literally the other lost the trust of his family. They find one another and help each other heal only to have that past come and tear at the fabric of their love. One because of trying to do the right thing the other because of insecurity and trust issues. Add the aspect of another man to the mix a man that no one really knows about and we have a cluster of mixed emotions and decisions that aren't exactly good.

A interesting story that will have you wondering what is to happen next and if Jeremy's love can withstand all the heartache it is about to received. Can he get Emma to see reason in the end? Me doubt it she is being a douchecanoe it's understandable why she is but she is none the less. The next should be interesting as we see if love can withstand all the obstacles put in its path.

Starting as a faily typical romance: a wounded heroine leaves a bad situation with boyfriend and job to make a new start. Emma does exactly that, she leaves London for the seaside town of Bournmouth, finds a roommate and begins anew. It’s a fairly typical ‘vacation feel” as she is enjoying the new sights and people, and shes even found a boy she likes. But then, nightmares start to disturb her life, and the questions of what is real and not begin to arise.

Emma is a fairly typical girl who has been hurt: far too quick to assume that everyone is out to hurt her and allowing her own insecurities to take over her actions. When she meets Jeremy the sparks fly, and the two are getting to know one another. Jeremy is a bit of a fancy boy, with moments of interaction that feel real, and others that are almost painful in the what isn’t said or done sort of way. As a couple, I found more questions than answers, and their relationship was very uneven in pacing and progression.

Emma and Jeremy are both in need of some growing up time, while she is a bit more sympathetic, neither is really ready for the sort of relationship that they both think they deserve. They do have amazing chemistry though, and the tumult of feelings that Emma is left with after encounters with her dream man are also highly charged. Some graphic interactions will take this into an adult only read, and the moments are steamy enough to require a cool drink.

In fact, the whole story pacing was uneven for me, with long passages of wondering to no end, as Emma is dealing with the fallout from her nightmares and the doubts placed. I wanted some sort of resolution in any one of the relationships: the one with Jeremy, the one with her dream man –but none came.

And here is my issue: Cliffhanger. Nearly four hundred pages and NO resolutions that would logically lead me into thinking that one issue is solved and now we can logically move forward. Personally, I don’t mind cliffhangers that are done well: you get some answers but a larger mystery is still to be solved. Those I can wrap my head around, and not feel as if the story was drawn out to be prematurely ended with a cliffhanger in the hopes that people will feel obligated to get the next installment. That feels like cheating to me, and with so many other titles out there to read doesn’t inspire me to look forward to the next story. Others may think that it was well set and logical; I just was frustrated to be left feeling the story was incomplete.

I received an eBook copy of the title for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This story starts off with a heart wrenching first few chapters. Emma has moved from Cornwall to London to start a job at an advertising agency. When she started her job she didn't realize her job roles were going to consist of doing university work for the owner's daughter and wearing risque clothing to try to win over perspective clients.

But things start picking up for her her when she starts a fling this one of those said clients. He is sexy and controlling and does a great job an wining and dining her. But at the same time he is elusive and secretive and he always slams on the breaks when things start to get hot and heavy. Emma is sure he is just not into her, but one day wakes up to find that he has stolen her access pass to her agency and all of her money. But he left her with a promise. A promise that he would be back for her.

Emma does the only thing that a girl can do and picks up the pieces of her life and moves to start over. She gets a job as a bartender at a poplar club Topaz, and starts falling for the Jeremy White, the bar owners son. But she has a foreboding feeling that someone is watching her and following her. As she tries to move on from her past, it seems like the past as followed her.

I have to admit that I was completely drawn in to the beginning of the story. At first when you meet Nic Fellows the hot sexy business consultant, I was ready to be disappointed. My first instinct was, oh no here is another story about a a naive innocent young woman being seduced by a domineering rich man. But then I was pleasantly surprised with they mystery of it all and it kept me intrigued to find out what was going to happen next.

To me this story had two main plots - The mystery behind Nic Fellows and Emma's budding relationship with Jeremy. Both of the plots were interesting and keeps the reader invested to find out whats happening next. It was a definite fun read with a great ensemble cast of character. I like how the book is told in two POVs and actually would like to have read more told in Jeremy's perspective.

This story was the perfect amount of love story and intrigue to make it a fun quick read! The story does continue and I will be anxious to find out how it concludes.

I like a heroine who makes the decision to start over after whatever mess she’s landed in. At the beginning, Emma was that kind of heroine. Taken advantage of by a client, Nic Fellows, at her job, she packs up and moves back home where things take a turn for the better. Good friends, good job, and a potential love interest with one Jeremy White.

Jeremy was hard to like. There were more “I want to throttle you” moments than “I like you” moments. Lying by omission’s not a good way to keep someone interested in a person, but he did it a lot to Em. He always seemed to be apologizing to her, explaining himself to her. It didn’t make sense why he bothered after a while, because it made him less of a man to me.

Perhaps the cliffhanger ending to this story was a good way to end. Jeremy and Emma have so much to resolve between them, and Jeremy has a lot of soul-searching to do. The way he puts Emma aside and goes running to his ex-girlfriend… Yeah, that’s not cool or acceptable.

Do I hope they get together for good? Absolutely, but not until all of the bad and ugly is taken care of and put behind them. Because aside from their lukewarm relationship, it seems like Emma will have two more things to deal with, either alone or with Jeremy: the return of possessive bastard Nic Fellows, and a mystery man she only knows as Jaxx.

This is one of the strangest books I've ever read. Don't get me wrong, it's a perfectly linear story, it's clearly a romance masquerading as a paranormal (seriously, the only paranormal thing that happens is a weird feeling and some glowing lights), with a bit of the hot 'n' heavy thrown in. But I just walked away confused.
Aside from wanting to punch certain characters in the face. There was no confusion about that.
I don't think I really know what confused me.
Whether it was the fact the story didn't seem to have an actual ending to round it off.
Whether it was the fact that Jaxx just seemed to appear out of nowhere at the end of the story, knowing everything about Emma.
Whether it was the ridiculous compound sentences lacking so much grammar that they flowed like a teenager's thoughts (don't get me started on the text-speak. It might be part of the character, but from someone who types out every word, it's just f-ing annoying - I read to read, not decode!).
Or whether it was that the middle of the story only linked up to the story at the beginning and end by coincidence, orchestrated by the 'baddie' well before Emma even met Jeremy. There are a lot of blanks here that need to be filled by the sequel.
I hope Ms Creatively can answer these questions, and soon.

I don't usually read paranomal books but once in a while I like to try new genres (you never know!). So I was a bit worried that it would be too much for me, luckily it wasn't. Emma moves to London to start a work placement but she quickly realises that it is not her place and after a disappointing and troubling (and hot) relationship she moves to Bournemouth. There she makes new friends, finds a job and falls in love with Jeremy (hot romance here too) although there is a kind of friend with benefits which makes the story more interesting. But she also starts feeling like someone is watching her and she even sees a golden light sometimes but we don't know exactly what is happening, I guess we'll have to wait for the second book to find out because this first one ends with a cliffhanger (huge one). Maybe some answers would have been nice though because I was left thinking: what? You cannot end here! And what happens now?? I enjoyed the book and it makes a nice quick summer read. However, I took me a while to connect with the characters, especially with Jeremy, I didn't like him and I couldn't understand some of his actions. I really hope this new "man" in Emma's life will make her happier in book 2.

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock

Reach For Your Light is the first book in The Light Direction series by Ces Creatively. Emma Williams takes a job placement in London. When things end badly, she retuns home only to move on to a new adventure in Bournemouth. Emma is having a blast meeting new friends, finding a new job and falling for gorgeous Jeremy White. She is also having visions of a sexy stranger. Unfortunately, lies and manipulations threaten to destroy everything she now has.

Normally I hate a cliffhanger in a book because I don't like having to wait for the new one to come out, but it worked with this one. I liked how the author ended it. It makes me want to grab the next book in the series and continue watching the story of Emma's life unfold. She was definetly my favorite character in the book. I had a harder time liking Jeremy. His decisions and actions throughout the book bothered me, especially at the end.

This book is for an audience of 18+ due to its adult contents

I am giving this book 3 fangs

~~ I received this in exchange for an honest review~~

This written review probably won't be very long. I am still in a small book hangover from this book. There are not very many reviews that I can say that. We have Emma, who is an intern for an ad agency. She has fallen for one of the clients. But that particular client isn't a trustworthy person. She is fired from her job, leaves London and goes back home to her small sea side cottage. There is a small love triangle that happens, and Emma is sure that her new and current boyfriend is very happy with her, that is until she sees him with is Ex. Shit hits the fan.

This is the first book that I have read by Ces, and it isn't going to be the last. I need to know what happens with Emma. This book is HOT. With very sexy men, hot cars, and lots of ocean views. I know that this review is very vague, but Im not going to give away anything. This book is just the start to something bigger, it is building up to be a great series.

Tiffany's Review:

Wow...just WOW!!! That is really all I can say! This book was so intriguing! Emma is a young beautiful Uni grad that is ready to start her career in the big city of London. She falls for a guy that ends up using her and ruining her career. When Emma returns home she has no idea what she is going to do with her life. Her best friend talks her into moving into a new flat and working at a bar!!! Emma really feels like she is getting her life back when Jaxx walks into her life. The perfect dark, tall, handsome and RICH man of her dreams!!!! They share some VERY erotic times together. When both their past come back to haunt the twist are AMAZING!!! I must know more about this mysterious Jaxx! I will be reading the next book in the series, Discover Your Light! If you like hot sex and supernatural powers this one is for you, if not then you should skip this it! I give it 4.5 stars.

If you like steamy scenes and sexy characters then this is the book for you. From the word go this is a sexed up story, but ultimately it is about more than simply the search for love and a competent bed fellow; it is about finding happiness in yourself and the environment around you.

I felt that the sexy scenes started a bit too quickly, before I had a chance to build up a connection with the characters, but at the end of the day if you like a little x-rated content then you aren’t going to be complaining about it coming too soon! Recommended for lonely nights and hot summer days.
