There’s nothing worse for a writer than missing a deadline. For Griffin Montgomery, his failure to do what he loves comes at a blow. He didn’t understand how it was affecting his life until his well-meaning family intercedes. His sisters have hired him a new personal assistant and he’s outraged—that is, until he sees who it is.

Autumn Minor is light on her feet and a bare memory for most people she meets. She does her best to blend in everywhere she lives, even if it’s only for a short period of time. Making sure no one truly notices her is the only way she’s survived this long. Only when she meets Griffin and the rest of the Montgomerys, she’s afraid she won’t be able to let go when its time to run.

Though the two begin a tentative but explosive relationship, they know it can’t last forever. Neither of them are made for the long haul when it comes to love and romance. When the demons from Autumn’s past find her and put both their lives at risk, Griffin will stop at nothing to protect her. In the end, though, he'll be the one who needs a second chance.

4 'Fall With Me' Stars

Griffin Montgomery is a wreck. His house is a mess, he can't write any of his next book, and he can't even order groceries for himself. Seeing that he is in desperate need of help, his mother and sisters hire him a personal assistant; someone to come in and organize his life and give him less to stress about so he can focus on his book.

Autumn Minor moves from place to place and never stay's somewhere too long, in fear that her past would catch up with her. Needing more money she takes the offer her friends propose and works for their brother, the brooding author. But Griffin doesn't want someone in his space and certainly not the hot redhead he can't seem to get out of his mind.

From the first moment I met the Montgomery's Griffin has interested me and made me crave his story. Well, if I'm honest, all of the Montgomery's have stolen my thoughts and I want all of their stories. But Griffin has been this brooding, quiet man and it just made me fascinated with what was going on in his head.

Griffin had a lot going on in his life and he wasn't handling it too well. His dad's cancer, his book deadline, so many of his brother's and sister's falling in love, he needed a break from it all. Weird to say, but I loved being able to see him struggle. It made his character so much more real and relatable. When he broke down and cried, my heart shattered and all I wanted to do was comfort him.

Autumn was good for Griffin but I wanted to know more about her. It wasn't until near the end of the story that we even got a glimpse of what shew as running from and then it was resolved pretty fast after that. I liked what I knew about her character and how strong she turned out to be, though. She was on the run for so long and seeing how close the Montgomery's were made it really hard for her to be away from her family. She was really brave to leave everything behind, but her family issue was just another thing I wanted to be resolved. Not saying it had to end in a happy way, but I just wasn't satisfied with how that issue was ended and not really resolved.

This book was a little different from the rest and we actually saw more of the family and got little teasers about what's to come for them. I'm really excited about who's going to get the next book and I can't wait to see the little twist that will be thrown in. I had my suspicions that it would happen but now that they're confirmed I am ten times more excited and impatient.

Overall, loved Griffin and Autumns story, as I knew I would. Even with the ending not being as resolved as I wanted, I really like the story and even though Griffin isn't my favorite Montgomery he is now a very close second.

„Welcome to the Montgomery’s. Come for the ink and food, stay for the drama.”

By far my favourite in the series.

I really liked this I feel as if the author has found her groove to delivering something good.

Now all of the previous books have been 3.5 star but I can say that this one here is a solid 4 star read.

Autumn and Griffin are good together and I enjoyed the plot more than the others but all in all you just have got to love the Montgomery’s.

I am so intrigued by Maya, Jake & Border. I already feel the tingles coming.

4.5 stars

From the very first book in Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery Ink series I was hook on this large, lovable and just a wee bit crazy family. I was thrilled that Written In Ink was Griffin's story because he has always seemed to be a little on the "outside" of the family; as a writer he doesn't work for the two family owned companies, he liked being alone and he is more reserved and closed off that his siblings, in other words he intrigued me deeply. Flirty, sexy, crazy with a bit of suspense thrown in for good measure I thoroughly enjoyed Written In Ink.

Griffin Montgomery has been struggling in his life; he's running out of time to finish his book before deadline, his house is a wreck, his eating habits are out of control and he really isn't managing his life very well. Between his siblings pairing off, having babies, one in rehab and his father's cancer scare Griffin is out of sorts and he has no idea how to get off the merry go round that has become his life because the last thing he'll admit to anyone is that he needs help. His family on the other hand begin to suspect and hire him an assistant, a woman who has worked with several family members and one that has peaked his interest but he fears having Autumn "Fall" Minor in his house will only make him more scattered.

First off I just want to say that I have loved Griffin from the start and watching him struggle and seeing him begin to understand just how out of control his life has become was hard because it is evident it is not a usual thing for him. He had some moments in this book where he brought out his inner a$$hole but what I loved is that Autumn didn't let him get away with it for the most part. I liked Autumn from the start despite not knowing her very well and as her background and past life came to light I truly admired her for everything she dealt with not only at a young age but by being smart and taking control of her life. It was interesting watching her manage Griffin's life just as it was interesting watching her let go of some of her control and learning to trust not only Griffin but the Montgomery clan as well.

One thing I have always loved about Ms. Ryan's writing is the fact she injects normal everyday language into her stories. This gives them a realism you don't often see in book and makes me feel as if I'm having a conversation with friends rather than reading a book.

Despite Autumn's insistence she wouldn't be around forever and Griffin's issue with technically being her boss these two find it impossible to ignore the attraction between them and boy do they take advantage of it often! However, they also begin to really admire one another and their bond grows even stronger as they both learn to let go and trust.

We see most of the other siblings, their significant others, friends and their parents in this book and I'll admit these were some of my favorite scenes. We also get a little peek into what (or should I say who) we can expect next in this series.

Written In Ink is fantastic addition to his big family series and it is everything I've come to expect from this author and more.

This was my first time reading Carrie Ann Ryan and I have to say, she didn’t disappoint. I have not read any of the Montgomery Series books but at no time was I confused or lost.
Griffin: I completely enjoyed his character. I loved the fact that he is an author but I also loved how he threw his temper tantrums. It was very much enjoyable and frustrating all at once. He has to be the most unorganized person but to him, his chaos is well, organized chaos. When he finds out his family hires him an assistant, he is pissed and even more so when he finds out it is his sister’s friend Autumn.

Autumn doesn’t stay in one place for very long. She lives her life day to day and does all she can to be a wallflower. This time is different. She broke her rules and made friends and in a way became an extended member of a family she longed to have Then when she finally meets Griffin and she is knocked on her a$$.. Leaving Denver isn’t going to be easy, but in the end, she knows it is for everyone’s safety.

You can safely say that the chemistry between the two is off the freaking charts! She knew taking the job as Griffin’s assistant would be a mistake but it is also the best mistake she will ever make.
The banter between Autumn and Griffin is so much fun. I like the way she handles him and his outburst. No matter how hurtful his words may be, she handles it like a champ when facing him. When they are together, they seem to bring out the best and sometimes the worst in each other. Watching their relationship develop was a bumpy and emotional and SEXY road.
I loved Autumn’s strength and at the same time she broke my heart. To endure a certain kind of loneliness after almost a decade is just devastating. Watching her come out of her shell and grow was wonderful.

I will definitely be going back to read stories 1-3.
Such a great, sexy and emotional story. Loved it!

Nayeli - per RFS
.

L’amore aveva lasciato lui in agonia. Sarebbe rimasto con Autumn momento dopo momento, disposto a lasciarla andare al momento giusto.”

Written in Ink is Griffin's and Autumn's story. A hot erotic romance that mixes in a bit of suspense and mystery. Autumn and Griffin are so sexy together and I liked their journey wasn't comprised of the notion that "sex makes it all better." Each had issues to work through and there was some nice tension and speed bumps to overcome on their way to their HEA. Altogether enjoyable though I felt the mystery aspect was rushed and resolved entirely too easily.

I just love this series! The author has been introducing us to the Montgomery family with each new installment. The family runs both a construction company and a tattoo parlor. Written in Ink is about quirky brother Griffen, a writer.

I admit being intrigued by Griffen from the start. He has kind of a crazy professor vibe going on with his family. Creative guy but can't take care of himself. Best friends with Decker. He has fallen in a rut and can't seem to put words to paper much less care for himself and his home.

His loving family decides to step in or rather over his boundries and hire someone to be his assistant. A get strong, stubborn woman should be able to get him sorted, right? Well, Griffen can be just as stubborn! The interaction between him and Autumn in the beginning talking about his routine, his thinking chair, how he schedules himself---so spot on to what I imagine in my head many authors do as part of their work.

One of the better books in this series. Tons of humor and terrifically steamy scenes between the two leads. I enjoyed seeing all the gang again and catching up. These siblings love so loudly that you can't help but get the feels from reading their stories.

REALLY looking forward to Maya's story up next! Grab this series up!

Autumn & Griffin

Griffin is having a major writer block. Autumn is just trying to survive and not get attached. Griffin is a mess and his mother and sisters hire their friend Autumn to help get him organized. His house is a mess, there is no food, it needs cleaning, and he has not written in months and has missed his deadline.

Griffin is not happy about his family interfering and hire Autumn without his blessing. Yes he does seem to need help but he wants to do it all himself. He does not need an assistant. Griffin is rude to Autumn at first. He is very attracted to her and he does not need that distraction. Griffin tries to get Autumn to quite. This plan does not work. Autumn will not be scared away even though her hormones are out of control whenever she is near Griffin. Autumn is determined to get the organizing done for Griffin.

Griffin decides to be honest with Autumn about his attraction. The two decide to keep it casual and not make it into a relationship. But as time goes on and they become closer they both want the relationship. Griffin is scared to open his heart and Autumn is still running from her past and will have to leave soon.

Autumn’s past comes into focus and we find out what she is running from and why. Griffin accepts his feelings and of course we get our HEA.

Circumstances (pesky non-bookish life and work) kept me from reading this one immediately when it came out but the fact that the next book is coming out within a week prompted me to get it down from Mt. TBR and I'm so glad I did.

I love this series and the characters in the family that forms the backbone of it.
The strong bond, sense of belonging, the tight-knit family and the humor are the things that stand out to me and keep me auto-buying and reading whenever a new book comes out. I love, adore the scenes where all the members of the family are together and the banter flows freely and easily. And I adore the scenes where they close eanks and band together around the people they love when things get tough.

The plot was intriguing in itself and by the way it was mixed with the romance and character development. I loved how it was revealed little by little with small hints here and there leading up to the big reveal and the wrap-up. Ryan does this in a great way with every book.

Griffin is one of my favorite Montgomerys and I loved reading his story. As per usual Carrie Ann Ryan delivered a sexy and emotional read that I enjoyed immensely. I'm really looking forward to the next two books in the series, both of which have been subtly hinted at and set up in this one.

"Written in Ink" by Carrie Ann Ryan is a heartfelt blend of romance, suspense, and personal growth. Griffin and Autumn’s chemistry is electric, pulling readers into their tentative yet passionate relationship. Autumn’s mysterious past and Griffin’s struggles with creative block add depth, making their journey toward trust and healing all the more compelling. Kinda middle-of-the-road decent romance with a little comedy and a little suspense. Very little. Too much subplot regarding the side characters; giving some of them POVs meant to whet the appetite for a future pairing, but in reality just interrupts the flow of the story.

Love left. Love hurt. Love had left hisbrother in pain, in rehab. Love had left one sister broken after one man. Love had left him in agony after death."

Griffin Montgomery comes from a very close knitted family, family that has seen it's share of ups and downs and yet has come out stronger than ever. He loves being a part of that close knitted group even if he has a varied interests. He is a writer, loves writing and has written successful books. Yet he is now suffering from his worst nightmare - a Writer's Block! Nothing he does helps him. He lives in a clutter, sends away his housekeepers screaming! He needs a keeper yet he never acknowledges that fact. (Un)Fortunately for him, his sisters accept that fact just fine :P

Autumn Minor isn't exactly Autumn. She is running and has been running ever since she was 18th. She doesn't stay at a place for long, never makes any attachments, and keeps a go to bag for when she has to run and she ALWAYS runs. Until she meets the Montgomery's - the family she had always wanted, but the family she never thought she would ever have, a family that has taken her in and loved her, accepted her, quirks and all. The only hitch? Griffin Montgomery - a man she always been attracted to since the very first time she saw him.

"You are my destiny. My path less taken. You are my future. My home. You are my life."

Oh how this tugged at my heartstrings! I finished this book in one setting - which for me means that I was up the whole night to actually finish this book - and Ms. Ryan never disappointed me!

I loved Griffin - he is my favorite Montgomery of all and it is not just because he is a writer! It's because on the surface, this guy seems to be all in, no issues no problems just cruising through life, only obstacle being his writer's block. But there is so much more beneath the surface, you know? A past that has haunted him for so long, and yet he has been keeping up appearances for long, that he starts to believe that reality. And he stole my heart with his gruff attitude yet those moments when he was going all protective and caring, were what I kept reading for.

Autumn is a mystery, not by choice but by circumstances. She has had a brutal past, a family that never stood by her so she is in awe of the loyalty and affection that she sees as a part of the Montgomery family. And the only reason she stays behind, is because she has never seen that kind of loyalty and affection in her own life and that makes her more susceptible to yearning because she has been so starved off that affection it's like the seeing sun for the first time and it literally brought tears to my eyes.

"My Fall. I've fallen for you, Autumn. I fell and I will fall each day until the day I die. Be with me. Take a chance. Stop running and be with me."

This book was seamlessly written and it showed. The words from one page to another connected in a way that it felt as if you were visualizing the whole story in your head and those books are the best kind in my opinion. Ms. Carrie Ann Ryan has done her best work in this book, she gave it her everything and it finally shows! While I loved her first books in the series, I still felt disconnected, at least a part of me did, but that was never the case with this book and am oh so glad about it! I had forgotten how much I actually love those foul mouthed alpha badass heroes and while Griffin may not have been your typical badass hero, he still became my favourite. And Autumn seamlessly fit in with him as well!

But the culmination of autumn's past was so fast and abrupt, that it felt like it was done in a blink of eye and that just didn't sit well with me. A little drama never hurt anybody in fiction, am I right? :D

A Sizzling 4.5 Stars!

I absolutely adore Ms Carrie Ann Ryan and I've been a longtime fan of her works. She is, in my personal opinion, one of the few authors who is able to dip into multiple genres with ease (PNR and Contemporary Romance). Again, she proved me right with this latest addition in her Montgomery Ink series.

Griffin, one of the younger brothers in the Montgomery clan is a writer who is struggling with writer's block. To help him, his sisters and mom engaged Autumn to help in keeping his house in order. Initially he hated it, he loathed having anyone in his home as it messes up with his writing creativity. Autumn is as mysterious as they come, just who or what is she running away from? She doesn't stay in one place for too long. Her gut told her that it is time to run as she's getting too attached to the Montgomery, especially to the handsome Griffin. Both felt the chemistry, the zing between them. They are wary of each other and yet they can't keep their hands off from one another. Each kept their secrets closed to their hearts but events will unfold when they realised just how much they needed each other.

I couldn't reiterate enough just how much I love Ms Ryan's style of writing. She could be writing about moss growing slowly on stone and I would still buy her books. This book has its own HEA, although I highly recommend that you read the earlier books to have a feel of the Montgomery magic. I look forward to the next Montgomery sibling book!

This book though...

I loved this book and the whole family dinamic it has!

Griffen the broody alpha male who kept to himself, a preference for being on his own writting was in a funk... I couldn't help but chuckle at his moody self it was comical how he reacted to his family employing Autumn. Though underneath all the facad he was just a lonely insecure man who seriously doubted himself. I love a broken hero, he journey to self love was wonderful and the way he was with Autumn..my he mans got some moves, even if he's only got one good hand;);)

Autumn really pulled on my heart strings. I knew she was hiding something but what a poor girl! It wasn't what happened to her that got me although that's bad it's the fact that she had no one there for her, she couldn't make a life for herself because she constantly lived in fear of loosing those close to her.
She was such a strong character with a big heart, it really was a pleasure to see her being dragged into the Montgomery clan.

The chemistry between H/h was smoking as well as there banter and fighting. They really where to broken peices that made a whole.
Obviously the Montgomery family made the book to with their banter, bickering and crazy love for each other, they are exactly what you'd imagine a big family to be like.

Obviously I'm anxiously awaiting for Sloane and Haileys book which is out is Jan ... Eek so far away!!!!
But seriously I need Maya, Jake&borders book like yesterday!!! Omg.... I'm so excited for this!!!!

Fab book I'll defenetly read again before the next is out. 5stars....

Can I just start by saying I love the whole Montgomery Ink family. However I have to say that Griffin and Autumn are my favorite couple so far. Griffin was one of the stories I had been patiently waiting for. Carrie Ann Ryan did an amazing job with Griffin's story. I knew there had to be so much more to Griffin than what I had seen in the previous books and I loved getting to read his story. Autumn was such a sweet but complex person. She had been through so much but was still so caring and kind. Although the Montgomery family is hard to resist. I really enjoyed Griffin's reaction to meeting Autumn almost as much as when she starts working for him. Griffin has always seemed so together that it was fun to see someone knock him for a loop. Autumn was just so loveable and seemed to know when to push Griffin and when to let things slide a bit. I won't give away any of story line but Griffin and Autumn have a few bumps along the way both from their past experiences and from growing pains of getting to know each other. I loved their instant chemistry and waiting to see how they would find their path.
Once again I found myself drawn into Carrie Ann Ryan's book from the first line straight through to the last word and loved every bit of the journey. I can't wait to see what is next for the Montgomery Ink family.

I give this book a five star rating, the characters were so fabulous and I enjoyed the story a great deal.

I’ve never written a review for a series as a whole, but I will for this because it’s not worth it to write individual ones when I have the same thoughts. I want to start with how much I do adore Carrie Ann Ryan. I’ve met her in person and follow her social media. As much as I like her as a person, and I’ve loved some other books, this series was just bla for me. Overall each book I listened to I found myself getting distracted and rewinding because they weren’t holding my attention. They had the set up and makings of being edgy emotional awesomeness, but I feel they all juuusssttt missed the mark. Don’t get me wrong, they were decent books, you should give them a try, but for me they just weren’t loveable quality.

I know there’s so many others out there that are just head over heels in love with the Montgomery family, and I do love the concept of such a close family, but these books were just a tad bit drawn out and repetitive that I lost interest. Hey I still listened to all of them though giving them a shot! You should too then tell me what you think! Sorry Carrie! I’m sure I’ll find something by you that I love 🙂

O.K, I'm going to be honest. I wasn't entirely sure how I was going to feel about this book. I haven't really been in a contemporary mood lately, and just tried to go into it with an open mind...

I shouldn't have worried. Carrie Ann slayed (I suppose that should be slew!? LOL) it! This book was as good--if not better--the 2nd time as it was the first. It had tension, suspense, history galore, developing arcs that will make the readers desperately want more, and a handful of the best quote-worthy lines I have read in ages.

Montgomery Ink fans are going to adore this book! That is my honest and heartfelt prediction. :)

Hot and sexy

Wow! Don't get burnt by this hot and sexy story!! Great characters, strong willed wines, hot alpha guys. The Montgomery's are a caring, light hearted family who will do anything for their family and close knot family of friends.

Montgomery Ink
Key points:
Griffin and Autumn fall in love (Autumn has been on the run for 10 years and the Montgomery's help her) Griffin couldn't write until Autumn came into his life.
Austin and ? have a baby boy
Miranda and Decker got married
Meghan and Luc are next to get married
Alex is in rehab
Maya and Jake bestfriends (Border an old bi-flame of Jake's is coming back to town)
Harry Montgomery is in remission.
Review I liked:

As I was listening to this book, I decided that I really liked Autumn. She seemed strong, self assured, intelligent fiesty, and a little mysterious. She and Griffin seemed to click from the very first time he called her Fall.

The fact that there was a secret in her past was a running theme throughout the book. The first time she appeared at Griffin's house was great as she stood up to his gruff, grumbling, slightly unpleasant attitude. I didn't think she would hesitate to explain if the people she cares about were threatened.

What I didn't understand was why the person who had been described as Autumn with all of these great characteristics had to fall apart because she fell in love with Griffin? Suddenly she had to save and protect Griffin and the Montgomery's by holding on to her secret and running? Or she was doing incredibly stupid things that you wouldn't expect from someone who had been on the run for so long. Or she was being extremely emotional and doubting Griffin could have feelings for her. How could She not be suspicious about some of the things that were happening around her?

Griffin has his own issues. He told Autumn about Lauren. At some point Griffin mentioned (in his thought bubble) that he told Autumn, but didn't tell her everything about Lauren. I still don't know what "everything" was about his relationship with Lauren. He was irritating and wishy washy in his own right.

Also, when Autumn's secret finally comes to light, that actually mystery is over so quickly, it could have ended any number of other ways without Autumn or Griffin be in involved.

A story that started out pretty interesting disintegrated into something else with Autumn losing all of her survival skills. It had me sad. I had high hopes for this book. That very last scene with Mia was pathetic. I give this 2.5 stars.

Written in Ink was such an incredible read — the kind of book that completely takes over your emotions in the best way. There were moments that had me screaming, moments that had me on the verge of sobbing, and plenty of moments where I made every possible reader noise because I was so swept up in Griffin and Autumn’s story.

This definitely gave he fell first vibes (even if Griffin had absolutely no idea what was happening at first 😂). I loved watching his feelings unfold on the page, and my heart broke for him more than once. Griffin just has such a way with words, and the ending left me so happy.

Autumn had me so worried at several points — that deep-in-your-chest kind of worry where you can’t help but tense up because you’re so invested in a character’s journey. I also yelled at a few characters along the way (they earned it), which only made the emotional payoff feel even more satisfying.

This book struck the perfect balance of tension, vulnerability, connection, and chemistry. It’s emotional, heartfelt, and so easy to get lost in.

Spice (for future readers): Chapters 10, 12, 13, 15, and the epilogue.

If you love emotional romances with deep character journeys, found family energy, and a hero who falls hard and speaks straight to your soul, Written in Ink is absolutely worth the read.
