Jimmy and his group of survivors begin to head west. Destination: New Orleans.
But the passage won’t be easy. The roads are crowded with packs of infected. And to make matters worse, the virus may be entering a second stage—one where no one is immune.
New YA book, I'LL BRING YOU BACK, coming Dec 17, 2019.
Richard Brown is the author of five novels, including the post-apocalyptic series, Dead Highways. He has also published a collection of poetry and a short graphic novel. When he’s not writing, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, studying history and economics, and playing board games.
I think I liked this book better than the first. The pace is perfect. Not too fast, not slow at all. I feel the suspence every page. I also love the changes that has come with the story. Can't wait to read the next book!
When I finished reading the first book I knew I had to read this book. This book is more action packed and better than the first book in someways.
The main character's name is Jimmy and he's a twenty-two year old book-nerd who has no friends. He use to live with his grandma and he use to work at her used bookstore. You feel for the guy because you can imagine being in his place and so the feelings/reactions to the story progression are more real. The book ends on a cliffhanger making me desperate to read what happened next!
By his side, are a weird bunch of misfits, including a cop, a prostitute, a drug dealer, and even a newborn baby. The group are on a mission and that is to get to the cops son, who is in another country - which is a crazy idea when you think about it. Not realizing until later, that their new rout is in the same direction where the infected are heading to.
I'm not sure why the zombie are heading west or for what reason but I want to find out! But we are going to find out soon as the characters are heading that way. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to continue.
Still full of pop culture reference I can follow, this book was worth much more than I paid for it. Truly a fun, fast and highly entertaining read but you do not need to take my word for it. Book one is free on Amazon. Grab a copy and see for yourself.
