L checked this out from the library and I was a little surprised. This is a somewhat out-of-character choice for her since she usually chooses animal books. The good thing about these stories is that they are indeed very short. Each one takes just a couple of minutes to read, which can be nice at bedtime. There isn't much in terms of plot, though. Also, I have no idea who these fairies are. I guess this is based on a TV show?
Normally I hate books like this, i.e. television shows that have been converted to book form, but this one is surprisingly well done. The stories are short and sweet, and not full of extraneous, half sketched plot lines and over-the-top cartoon drama.
What is good about these stories is the "very short" part (for me, tired and ready for them to sleep), but my kiddos want more than what these vignettes have to offer.
