If you haven't read a Ginger Jamison book, you are really missing out! I just finished Jericho this morning - it was sweet, funny, sad with plenty of life lessons in it. This author is an expert at constructing stories that make it impossible for a reader to put one of her books down - they are that amazing! I also appreciate the depth of the character development which this author creates - her heroes/heroines are so interesting and her secondary characters are also top notch! I look forward to her next book!

What an awesome read, it is a true testament to what a woman can grow through and still come out on top. I really enjoyed the book it put in perspective that forgiveness is needed no matter the circumstances that you go through or that you maybe faced with.

Ginger Jamison is a new-to-me author and I have such mixed emotions with this book. The one scenario that appealed to me was having injured Marines in the story. Being married to a retired Marine, I am a sucker for many of these stories. What bothered me about this was references to Christian Howard as "soldier" instead of "Marine". I know this sounds pretty silly, but I know of no Marine who would let this pass, be it said teasingly or not. I loved Georgia Williams for about 50% of the book. She is a strong single mom working night shifts to support her daughter. However, for the rest of the book, she becomes docile and insecure - no signs of that tough nurse taking care of wounded Marines. I went with 2♥ because, for me, the character development was just too off course for me.

This is an excellent story about a nurse in a military hospital who is also a single-mother caring for her baby all by herself with no husband, family, or friends to depend on. When she tends to a patient named Christian who has been badly burned, she does not expect to fall for him, or even like him. It is all she can do to keep her head above water caring for her daughter and doing her job, and she does not need complications from this situation. Christian has been so badly injured he sees no hope of moving forward with his life, yet he recognizes a kindred spirit in her. As the horrible details of their pasts come to be revealed, they gradually get to respect and care about each other. That is, until he causes her to lose her job. This is a love story, but more: there is a heart-felt message underlying it about how we treat each other on a human-to-human basis. This is quite a good read.

Honestly I really enjoyed this book it's not often authors write about a man who isn't a stereotypical type of gorgeous. This book kept me entertained and I loved the two characters. The family drama ruined it for me though. First Carolina, I found her so self involved and ignorant. I couldn't get over what she said to them when they first reunited and I might've been able to get over it if she had grovelled at the very least. Then when her brothers and father arrived at her house... her brothers give her the most pathetic excuses-then they helped him search her house. Make it make sense!! On the last chapter her father got down on his knees and cried an apology and the whole thing seemed so illogical and the fact she was ready to forgive all of the is beyond me. It's such a shame because all of the other side characters and everything was so enjoyable. :(

I saw a review somewhere for Jericho by Ginger Jamison and decided it sounded interesting. I think it was in the Romantic Times where it was a top pick. I have just got around to reading it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a romance with great character exploration, a plot that kept me engaged and excellent writing.

Georgia is a very spunky young mother, caring for her delightful little daughter and as well working nights as a nurse at Jericho Military Hospital. She is beloved by the patients because of her kindness and caring. It is there that she meets Christian and soon a relationship starts to build. However Georgia is in danger of losing her job when seen kissing Christian.

Christian on discharge finds that he needs to find Georgia and from there, the relationship develops further. However Christian is somewhat unsure of Georgia, is she with him because she needs to be or could she possibly love him. As well Christian struggles with what he will do from now on in, to find purpose in life - does that involve going back to the war front?

Christian has no family, he still carries guilt about his parents dying. Georgia was cast out by her family when she accused a family friend of rape - resulting in a child. Her 'religious pastor father' will have nothing to do with her and forbids the others as well. This is a heavy weight that Georgia carries.

I enjoyed watching the relationships pan out, the struggles with various feelings of anger, guilt, loneliness and the possibility of forgiveness. The minor characters added a richness to the mix, all in all a very good read.

I could not put this book down! It was incredibly sweet and made me believe that no matter what hardships you may face in life there is always a knight in shining armor out there for everyone. Even if your knight is not the next persons idea of a knight.
Georgia has been struggling for the past two years and is almost at the end of her rope. She's physically and mentally exhausted but she is a wonderful nurse at Jericho Military Hospital.
Christian hasn't had the easiest path in life either. He is currently at Jericho with bad burns to a lot of his body and half of his face. Georgia is one of the few people that will look him in the face and although he knows that he isn't the one for her he begins to crave her attention.
While the story was hard to read at times because it made me so sad for the situations both Georgia and Christian had faced through their young lives the book gave me so much hope and peace and helped me remember that although there are rough patches in life, we can all find true romance and our place in the world.

I read this book right after reading liberty which I loved... I believe I went in with my expectations being a little too high and thus the reason for the three stars.

Now I want it to be known that I did enjoy this book, it was a nice read...but 50% of the book was in the hospital, I understand that this is how the characters were getting to know each other but the progression was so slow I actually started to skim... which is not a great sign. Right after the 50% mark things started to pick up, and I then it brought me back into the story... actually the whole time I was looking forward to the meeting with Abby and Christian because I wanted to see how that all played out and it actually was perfect. I am a sucker for books with great fathers... and Christian was beyond wonderful.

I will be honest... didn't care for the ending much, felt like a quick need to tie up loose ends.. "insert kanye shoulder shrug"

Signing off.... You win some, you lose some.

The Veil

Because of their honesty it is said that children can be cruel. What of the cruelty that comes from the mouth and demeanor of adults. The balm( antidote, gift, treasure, blessing ) comes by way of people like Georgia and Christian in the novel Jericho. Jamison writes a poignantly heartwarming story of how love leads to acceptance and redemption. This is a second novel by Jamison in which the characters reminds us of small town, easy living that shelters it's demons and sacrifice its angels until the appointed time. The story flows easily from incident to incident but the identity (ethnicity ) of the characters is confusing and remains veiled. Consequently a vital connection is lost between the reader and the character. Reveal the characters: I want to see him. I want to see her.

Georgis is a single mother of a little girl working on the night shift trying to make end meet and raise her. Christian is a wonder war veteran in the hospital Ginger works in. Although Ginger's supervisor is mean to her, she is dedicated to the patients. She slowly forms a relationship with Christian based on trust and they come to care to about each other. I thought Ms Jamison was very good with her character representation. I believed their growing relationship and wanted to see where it would go. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am looking forward to reading other stories.

Ginger was brought up in a very strict family and was abandoned by her family when she became pregnant. Now on her own with a baby she works nights at a veteran's hospital to be with her daughter during the day. It is there she meets, Christian, a Marine wounded in battle. They are attracted to each other despite their differences. Out of a sense of duty and attraction he marries Ginger. The novel tells the story of how they grow to love each other and overcome their past wounds. I found the characters interesting, but predictable. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. The only issue i had wa sit started slow. I wanted to punch Georgia's boss in the face. I fell for Christian and Loved all the secondary characters. Georgia was awesome full of depth emotional triumphs I have to say. I found my self crying threw out this book. As the relationships developed and the characters grew. I wanted to hate her dad but toward the end I felt for him. I look forward to more from Miss Jamison. I was given an Advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

Jericho continues the Redemption series theme of soldiers and Marines who are returning to civilian life and recovering from physical and emotional trauma. Georgia and Christian's story tugs on the heart strings as each deals with the loss of their families for different reasons.

G.J. portrays black women as innocent and vulnerable in ways that are rarely seen in any type of contemporary fiction.

Beautiful love story between a single mother nurse and her severely wounded war hero patient. There is sexual content, but mostly after marriage. This book unfolds at a steady pace and warmed my heart, and broke it at the same time. Christian and Georgia will be in my thoughts. Thank you Ms Jamison for this wonderful story. I would rate this R for some strong language and sexual content. Recommend.

The hero is a burned veteran healing in a military hospital. The preacher's daughter heroine is the night nurse caring for the men in the hero's wing. The hero has some survivors guilt and the heroine is a single mom trying to raise her baby on her own after her father kicked her out. There are revelations of elements of the backstory and lots of angst and it's just a good read. I liked it a lot.

"Jamison’s superb second novel follows another wounded warrior from Jericho Military Medical Center on his journey past survival, into civilian life. The beauty of this story is its simplicity" (RT Book Reviews, 4 1/2 stars TOP PICK!).

I read Ginger Jamison's previously release, Liberty, and Jericho did not disappoint. I was provided an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. Well written and emotional, Jericho is a story for those who believe in second chances.
