The reading of this book was a turbulent ride of emotions. A story in which I shed tears because I felt so sorry for the male character but at the same time I also had tears of joy for their happy ending. First thing I want to say is that I was really mad at Juliet, how dare she pull such a trick on this wonderful man. Let me explain better. Travis is a football player with a glorious career ahead of him; he has everything, money, fame and a wonderful wife. Until one day a car accident ends his happiness forcing him to pull himself together and raise his only child. So he decides to abandon his glamorous life, finding refuge in an isolated cabin and after so many years of solitude he encounters a beautiful woman who will crush his barriers and give him the chance to love again. I really don’t want to write further details but I just want to explain why I was mad at Juliet. Being a journalist, when she realizes that this handsome man is the famous football player who has left his life behind, for egotistical reasons (I think she is a bit selfish) she blows his cover by writing an article about him. So after this episode, Travis feels betrayed and so he will shut down his feelings and leave her. It will take some time to establish a sort of normalcy but Travis and Juliet will finally find the momentum to start over again. Thank you for sending me an advanced copy.

Once trust is broken, it's hard to earn it back

Juliette Abrams found that out first hand. Travis Thorburn found and rescued after a fall on Bear Paw Mountain. He nursed her back to health for four days until he could get her back to Cricket, Montana for her return home to L.A. Travis did not expect to fall in love with Jules. He'd spent the last four years living a recluse life and raising his son Elijah after the untimely death of his wife Angela. He had mixed emotions overs his feelings for Jules. He felt like he was cheating on his dead wife, even though she'd been gone for four years.

Jules regretted doing what she felt like she had to do to support her family. In doing so, she betrayed Travis and loss his love. She was determined to get him back because life without him was no life at all. She worked hard to regain his trust and in the process fell in love with his son Eli and he fell in love with her as well. He was convinced that his heavenly mommie sent Jules to be his new Mommie because he needed one. Jules needed both Elijah and Travis too. They were her compass, her true north, and she was theirs. Eli was so cute, I just loved his lisp.

Sienna wrote a very heart wrenching and heart warming story about a man who grieved the loss of his soul mate and his struggle to move on with his life when he found himself in love with another woman. This story also shed light on how families are affected by Alzheimers and how the families must seize the day when lucid days are available. The families are adversely affected with the caring of their loved one and are especially hurt when they are no longer recognized by their loved one.

WILD RUGGED DADDY is the latest story from Sienna Parks. Due to a terrible tragedy Travis chooses to live in isolation with his little son. Juliet is a young woman who is just trying to get her big break in her job and ends up making one wrong turn in the mountain... Travis finds her, saves her and takes her in to his cabin to wait out the worst of the weather in his mountain home. The chemistry is immediate between these two from the moment they meet. They know it will only deepen the more they are around each other. Travis hides from Juliet who he really is in the beginning though Juliet figures it out. This is a story filled with drama, hope, heartbreak, tenderness and a 2nd chance at love, this book engages all your emotions. I loved every moment between Travis and Juliet. There is some good humor and laughter in the story along with passionate moments. This is one story that will keep you on your toes.

My Rating: 4.6 stars *****

Turning True North will lead you to love

WILD RUGGED DADDY is the latest story from the pen of Sienna Parks and it is a beautiful, sweet one of a second chance at love. Prepare yourself, you will need your tissues and some wine to comfort you during certain scenes. There will also be times when you find yourself having a quiet giggle too.

Travis Thornburn has shunned society for the past four years, choosing to live in isolation raising his son Elijah. Heartbreak and tragedy struck him down and he decided he never wanted to experience that again. However things may change when he rescues Juliet Abrams, who injures herself not far from his cabin. During inclement weather Travis helps Jules recuperate and he also begins to realise just what he has missing from his life.

In true Sienna style, the author will have the reader's heartstrings pulled in all directions. They will witness a relationship that slowly builds (even though the chemistry and attraction is instant) and then watch as the unthinkable happens and all trust is lost. Can that trust be rebuilt? Will the ghosts of the past continue to haunt Travis and keep him from moving into the present?

Once again Sienna has written a beautiful story where the magic of her words flows effortlessly. Where her characters are well developed and are truly believable. They both had flaws which made them even more likeable. Elijah, Travis's son totally stole my heart, he was simply adorable.

A beautiful story and one I would highly recommend be read.

Travis lost his soulmate, the love of his life in a terrible accident, but she left him with the greatest gift, their son Eli. Sadly Angela never got to meet Eli, but his daddy tells him all about her, the love she would have had for him, so the little boy grows up loving his mummy!

Juliet is a journalist and is sent to write a story on the trails of the mountain. When she hears noises behind her she drops her things and runs. Travis finds her hurt and takes her back to his cabin, he is thankful that Eli is with his grandparents, as no other woman has been to the cabin!

Travis treats Juliet’s injury but he is angry at her being there and she is angry that he is angry! Neither can leave due to the snow storm, so they find a way to get along, which is in each other’s arms.

Once the storm clears and Travis takes her down the mountain, they have huge argument, and things are said that can’t be taken back, so Juliet leaves and heads home. After a few months Travis realises that he misses her, so takes Eli to L.A to find her. Whilst at Juliet apartment and whilst she is asleep he finds an article she has written about him, and he is furious, the woman he thought he loved has exposed him and his son!

Juliet tries her best to talk to him, so win back his affection, but to no avail, so she leaves L.A for a new life, but cannot forget the man she loves. So, she does the only thing she can, she goes back to the mountain to prove to him that she loves him. Can she worm her way into his heart? Will he listen when she explains why she wrote the article? Can true love be found and kept?

I really enjoyed this book, and received an advanced copy.

Travis, Juliet and Elijah.

This book starts off quite sad, with Travis's wife dying and their son fighting for his life. After everything comes to pass, as soon as Eli is able to leave the hospital, Travis disappears. No one knows where he is.

Juliet is an investigative reporter but she's stuck doing terrible stories. Like the one that lands her in in Cricket, Montana. She has to cover Bear Paw mountain for hiking. This is the story that changes her life, and also Travis's and Eli's!

Juliet first meets Travis at the grocery store and then he saves her life on the mountain after she gets lost and injures herself. Travis and Juliet have instant chemistry but Travis feels guilty for having feelings for Juliet and feels likes he's somehow betraying his wife.

Travis has a big, big heart. Once he lets go a little and opens up to Juliet, sparks fly. They are perfect together.

I was upset at what Juliet done to Travis. If she waited him out, I think he would have told her every thing but she was too bullheaded. And I understood why Travis was angry with her. But at the same time I was rooting for these two throughout the book. I loved this story and everything in it. I loved how they overcome all their problems. How Juliet accepted Eli as her own. They all have very big hearts. And Eli was just the cutest.

My heart hurt for Travis and little Elijah. Travis walked away from his football career to raise his son out of the eyes of the public after his wife died. Now living as a reclusive mountain man, he and Eli live the simple life and enjoy nature and solitude. Juliet is trying her best to have a successful career as a journalist but her boss has her doing fluff pieces instead of the juicy stories! After coming across Travis in the mountains, Jules doesn't realize who he is but she does know that he's sexy, manly and a single father. After giving into the passion between them, Jules stumbles across Travis's secret but what will she do with this knowledge? She has familial responsibilities so she can't turn down a paycheck but letting the public and press know where Travis has disappeared to would give her the notoriety and money that her parents need! Is she willing to hurt Travis and Eli like that? How will Travis react when he's the news of the day? A really good and heart breaking story!

Wild Rugged Daddy is a heartbreaking, beautiful single dad romance. Travis is so shattered by tragedy that his only coping mechanism is to retreat from the world with his son. Juliet is a journalist whose naturally curious nature is at odds with Travis's need for privacy. Theirs is not an easy love story; each has to learn to give a little and grow a little in order to make things work.

I love this author's writing style. The characters and events are so well-written it's as though you're living right inside the book. The story will take you on a roller coaster of emotions, at times loving and hating the main characters as they sort out what their priorities are. These are people who seem like real friends and it's a book that you never want to end. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This was a good read. The writing flowed well, and the characters were developed. Travis and Jules have an instant connection, and the pull is there right away. Travis has legitimate reasons for being stand offish, but it has been 5 years. He didn't seem to have moved on at all from his wife's death. I wasn't a big fan of Jules for most of the story. She's very stubborn, selfish, and a bit bratty at times. She does get better as the story goes on, and I like them together towards the end of the story. I was happy that they could find their HEA.

This is my first book by Sienna Parks and I am so incredibly impressed. The story is amazing and sucks you in so strongly that you can’t put it down until you reach the end. I loved Travis and Juliet together. They have a chemistry and love that is so amazing. They are both stubborn as all get out, but still know how to listen. There are so many twists and turns and have so much drama that you just can’t imagine. The story is beautifully written and the flow is just fantastic. This is definitely worth reading and will not disappoint. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.

Due to tragedy Travis chooses to live in isolation with his little son. When Juliet is injured not far from his cabin, Travis takes care of her as she recuperates. This is a well written story which flows seamlessly, and is emotional, gritty, heartbreaking, humorous, sweet, and a beautiful and powerful page turner, which had me totally captivated throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers, and look forward to reading more from her.

This was a fun and sexy read. I loved how Jules was with Travis and she kept it real with him and was a strong personality. I did think he went a little too far when his identity was revealed. And all she did to get him back was bit a much. But love prevailed and they had their happy ending. Eli was cute as a button too. I enjoyed this book very much! I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Hoo boy. Where do I even begin?
Get your box of tissues out because you’re gonna need the whole box! I cried so many times...happy tears, sad tears, laughing tears!
Travis and Juliet go through so many trials and tribulations, it seems they will never get it together. But fear not. It does seem that a happy ending is on the horizon.
This is a definite must read. It rang all my bells!! 5 stars!

Love the journey in this single dad romance read.

This was a very enjoyable emotional read from start to finish. The heartache Travis had to endure made him into a better, stronger single father. When he unexpectedly meets Juliet the attraction scares him but he opens himself to the possibility of love again. What happens next is a journey of time, forgiveness and finding a HEA.

Just when I thought Sienna Parks had written her best tale yet, she’s goes and writes Travis and Jules. I don’t usually connect with characters but I did with Jules, she does what she thinks is best for her family...not thinking of the repercussions. This story has it all. Love, heartache, betrayal, second chances and a sweet little boy named Eli.

Fabulously Gripping read

Loved the characters especially Elijah! But I cannot exclude the protagonists who have a heap of emotions and issues to face before they achieve their HEA.
The writer is faultless in her style, plot and characterisations. My only criticism which has nothing to do with the author of the book is that this novel was placed in the BWWM subgenre which it clearly is not. However, it was a fabulous and gripping read. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who loves romance. Thank you, Sienna!

This was such a good book and I really enjoyed the characters. The little boy kept me laughing throughout the book. I definitely shed a few tears while reading. The part about Juliet's mom having alzheimer's resonated with me on a personal level. My grandmother had this horrible disease and she even told me she didn't know me; it broke my heart just like reading about Juliets experience with her mom not recognizing her.
