I am judging this book a little hard, I know. The concept is WONDERFUL! I do really love the format: the block colors to separate the different pictures. There are a lot of great pictures in this book with a lot of great words. My super complaint is in the choice of baby's first 100 animals. Budgerigar?? (Parakeet's scientific name). Really? There are a couple others in there that could easily have been swapped out for more recognizable animals OR names. Squirrel. Owl. They do a really good job with a lot of the the pages, but missed some opportunities with the Big/Little pages, too (Match Dog with Puppies was okay). I would have no complaint at all if it weren't Baby FIRST 100 Animals.
