Romancing the Mob Boss Series #10

Reno and Son: Don't Mess with Jim

Italian powerhouse Reno Gabrini is happy with his life in Vegas. His beautiful African-American wife is his partner in the bedroom and in the boardroom, and is keeping him in line and all of his female groupies at bay. His newborn girl and young son are healthy and well-adjusted children, and his oldest son, Jimmy Mack, is fast becoming a man.

Maybe too fast.

Jimmy Mack Gabrini has always had a contentious relationship with his powerful father, and it has only grown more impassioned throughout the years. His dream is to make his father proud, but he keeps falling short. It doesn’t help that even his girl, Val Wellstone, finds his father sexy as hell too and can’t seem to stop singing his praises, and his father seems to return the affection.

But when enemies conspire to do Val harm and Reno wants to take the lead, Jimmy asserts himself in a way that Reno always knew was coming, but not this soon. It becomes so explosive that Tommy and Sal Gabrini are called in to lend a hand as lives are saved and lost, hearts are mended and broken, and old wounds are finally healed.

In the tenth installment of the popular Mob Boss series, Reno and Son live, love, laugh and fight to the death for the women they love, and the family they believe in.

Great read, maybe my favorite even if it did have a bomb I still enjoyed it. Hated how the bad guys tried to succeed (been there done that) should've come up with something better. But reading how Jimmy came into his own and the turmoil it had on not just Reno but everyone was really good. The fact that Val and her father didn't back down was a bonus as well. They made him work for it and that was really good to read. Now he just needs to figure out what he wants to do with himself and he'd be a great character to make a serious out of.

It never fails for Reno though. He gets better and better with his and no matter who he's up against. Hate how the dad was brought in, just didn't make any sense really for him to be involved and for it all to tie together the way it did. He should've had a different motivation behind what he did and after all this time he should've known better to be so foolish.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!

Just when you think the Mob Boss Series can't get any better, your mind is completely blown away and author Mallory Monroe shocks the sh*t out of you lol!!!

Well watching little Jimmy Mack from a teenager because that is when we are introduced to him several books ago and becoming a young man is a site to behold. So much has changed with Jimmy, he is still the sweet and compassionate person but he has also grown into a young man who is truly a Gabrini and better yet Reno's son. Jimmy was spared growing up under the ugliness that was Reno's father and other family members so that is why you don't see the hardness that exists with his dad and uncles Tommy and Sal. But it doesn't mean it's not underlying because it's there but not as obvious like the other Gabrini men.

In this story we see Jimmy in a real ratio ship with a young woman who loves Jimmy for him, not because he is Reno's son or that his dad is the owner of the Palargio. No she truly loves Jimmy but because Jimmy has been duped before into believing a woman cares for him but they were just checking for his father, his insecurities and jealousy almost costs him the woman he loves. Jimmy has some growing to do in the relationship realm but he is getting there.

The one thing Reno, Tommy and Sal have desperately tried to shield Jimmy from was the ugly side of a life that themselves have had to partake in too many times to count. What they didn't realize and have grossly underestimated is the fact of Jimmy being a Gabrini all but calls him to get involved whether they like it or not and that is what happens here. Reno and Trina are doing an amazing job raising their children and although Jimmy isn't Trina's biological son nobody wouldn't know it because they are very close and he is her son. But Jimmy is growing up and with Trina accepting it, Reno is having a harder time with it.

Reno wants Jimmy to take over the businesses one day but Reno feels as if he isn't business savvy or ready. Reno thinks Jimmy is lazy and wants him to really take handling his business more seriously. Jimmy believes that he is and here in lies the bone of contention between father and son. But Jimmy sets off a chain of events that nobody saw coming and in doing so all hell breaks lose and their is no turning back.

Jimmy is in danger of losing his girlfriend, his life and everything else. And here is where Jimmy Mack steps up to the plate and handles his business like a BOSS much to the chagrin of Reno. But when things spiral so out of control that Reno calls in his other big guns Tommy and Sal Gabrini you better know a war is coming because when you mess with one Gabrini, you have to deal with the rest of them. You better be right with Jesus because you will meet your maker.

A phenomenal story that just keeps exceeding the last book, I don't know how author Mallory Monroe does it but my hat is completely off to her amazing talents.

I have to say even though i had this book sitting on my kindle for a long time i am glad that i finished it lol but what can i say it was a great read who would of known that after all this time that jimmy was still trying to figure out who he really was beside his father son. But one thing that i did noticed that jimmy would try to be just like his father but one thing that i did love when reno had told me him that he couldn't be like him or do the things that he does because there can only be one man in charge and that would be reno but most of all i was glad that reno had told jimmy about his self because it was clear that jimmy was going to go to far if reno didn't put a stop it. And as for Val i guess it i am going to have to get some used to because so far i really don't care for her because to me and the earlier stages is that when ever jimmy wanted to do something she would shot him down but not only does jimmy have to hear it from his father i don't think that he expected it from Val. But towards the end i can see that jimmy had became his own person something he really needed to come into his own person.

More than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for me

Jimmy is all grown up now I feel like I was part of his life lol. I love the Gabrini men, I love they nonsense/straight forward attitude plus their good look is an A+++ lol. James aka Jimmy Mack sure did man up in this book, dude wasn't taken no excuses not even from Fred. Tree is one of my favorite heroine in a book, Sal is just a brutally blunt person and I love that about him but Wtf going on with Tommy and grace huh I do not like depress Tommy, please get him out of that funk he's in with Grace please by the next book I don't have the heart to read about my GQ Tommy like this smh my heart was broken for him in this book. I love the book kept me interest and up all night, this book was hmmm hmmm good couldn't stop reading definitely a great recommendation if you are into the series.

"Puppies are cute"
"Ain't nothing cute about me"

Another Great Read- BRAB Online Book Club

I am addicted to Mallory Monroe's books and the mob boss series, but I started thinking that this series had run it's course, but boy was I wrong.

In this book Jimmy Mack came into his own. Jimmy had a difficult relationship with Reno, wanting to be just like him but thinking he can never please him. When enemies go gunning for his father and the Gabrinis, Jimmy stepped up to the plate and proved he was worthy of being a Gabrini.

Of course, Reno's enemies are always targeting him and family and this was no exception. Hot sex scenes, violent situations are all par for the course. Another page-turning, edge of your seat book and a must read in my view.

I love the Mob boss series, Reno and Trina an just wonderful but, it was nice to see Jimmy come into his own, I think he can be a strong lead in a series all his on with Reno and Trina play more of a back round role. This book showed he has depth and is a complex man all his own, also that he is just as if not more intense than his father and he can hold his own when it comes to his woman just like the rest of the Gabrini men. Great read, I really hope this will be a new series to go along with the other Gabrini men!

The GABRINI family is the BOMB (no pun intended). RENO & SAL are always hilarious in every book! Both men are brutal to the core. Poor Jimmy has followed in their foot steps. I seen this coming. Maybe if the series continues little Dommi will be the future, maybe a priest. Jimmy is to far gone. I ABSULUTLY LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!!

Loved Jimmy Mack in this book. I was getting kinda sick of the whole Reno and Trina story, but Jimmy just revived it for me, but I would like to read about him more now. Reno and Trina have definitely run their course.

A Very Good and Sweet Interracial Romantic Thriller

Reno and Son: Don't Mess with Him (The Mob Boss Series Book 10) is a very good and sweet interracial romantic thriller that earned a rating of four stars. Reno Gabrini and his son Jimmy Mack relationship is tested in this installment of the Mob Boss Series as Jimmy and his girlfriend, Valerie fall in love. Reno has to protect his family in this exciting and suspenseful thriller. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading very good romantic suspenseful thrillers.

Mallory Monroe has done it again! She is quickly becoming my favorite author and I cannot get enough of Trina and Reno! The Gabrini's closeness and how the family members (Sal and Tommy) always step up and always supportive of each other is amazing! I have read other "Mob and Mafioso" books but there is always family drama and the lack of support causes failure in families. Just sayin'! Anyway, onward to the next one and I am sure to get the Gabrini brothers books, too! Awesome read!

Brilliant as always

Another great book. We get to see the vulnerable side of Reno. We usually see Reno as the unwavering, tough businessman and husband. Apparently Reno who is not a member of the Mob, still has a strong mindset like the Mob. He strongly believes in loving your family and righting their wrongs.....which we see with him. And Jimmy. We see Reno and Jimmy’s relationship develop.
A great start to see how Jimmy starts to grow up.

😌😌😌

Well, well, well.... Young Jimmy has come off age! I think he is too young and still a bit starry-eyed to really know just how to deal! At least he has a strong and caring father and uncles.
